Bell Market Food Hall Opens in New Jersey From NYC Chefs | Eater NY

"Overseen by chef Richard Corbo (who previously worked at Tribeca Grill and Union Square Cafe), Corbo and Sons offers wood-fired pizzas — including one topped with peaches, ricotta, truffle honey, and arugula — plus two antipasti; the menu isn’t explicitly Italian, the wine list contains no Italian selections, and an Aperol spritz is available." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Wow, they have delicious pizza. Not that I didn’t expect it but you never know with places that open in a mall type setting. It was also good the next day which is a nice sign. They have a chewy crust and flavors hit. I will be back again!

I have the pleasure of eating here almost every Friday faithfully. The workers , food and atmosphere the restaurant and well as the location make this an event all on its own. All the pies are amazing yes I’ve eaten them all. The meatballs are so so good just very very delicious food to consume with friends and family. The beers are local and are on tap as well fantastic as well. In general I would recommend this place to anyone. It is a pleasure speaking to the staff literally I talk to them all. Wonderful wonderful place thank you for having me. I come all the way from the Bronx to eat here on the weekends and am eventually be moving close by so I can be able to enjoy all Bellworks has to offer including this wonderful establishment. AAA+

Pizza wasnt bad but wasnt great either. Could definitely have more flavor and be better, especially for the price.

Google
This is a pretty good Neapolitan style pizza! I wish they had a few more choices maybe with mozzarella di bufala (or some other classic toppings for this style such as prosciutto) and, more importantly, I wish they had delivery service available. One thing to note is that they close the wood burning ovens after lunch and start using the electric ones during the afternoon/evening. At least, that is the case during the week. Not sure if it happens on weekends too. The pizza is still very good but there are a few differences when cooked in brick vs electric (I prefer brick-coal/wood fire)

Corbo and Sons is a cool little booth at the Bell Market in Bell Works. The small Italian outpost has some pretty classic Italian dishes and a very friendly and courteous staff.

They made me a custom chicken Caesar salad pizza and it was amazing!! Best Caesar salad pizza I’ve ever had. It wasnt on the menu but they were able to make it for me. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Google
I find it legit hilarious when people complain about “burnt” crust or bottom on a BRICK OVEN pizza lolllll can’t fix stupid. Anyway, this is delicious and awesome. The hot honey rules.

Google
This review is for the bell works location. Been a while since I was there but yesterday I ordered the nonno pizza, and should have paid more attention to the description. It states locally sourced mozzarella, which is different from the fresh mozzarella they used to use. Pie was mediocre at best and the cheese was so salty that it was almost inedible. Will be last time going there. So many other great pizza options around for those who like fresh mozzarella.

Yelp
First time eating from here and it was a very pleasant experience! Was attending a show at the excellent Bell Works theater downstairs. You order at the counter and they text you when it's ready. Only snag is the Cel service sucks there so you should figure 10 minutes after placing it your pizza will be ready. And man the personal size was really surprisingly large. Best of all it was yummy! We sat outside on the roof deck where there is a bar and tables and lunges. A dj was spinning music. Or you can sit inside at high tops located steps from ordering.

Yelp
I work in the building but have never eaten here, and now I know why. The slice pictured was $9.89. Yes, $10 for a slice of pizza (I asked to cut it in half) that is at least 40% bread with no toppings. The slice was fine but sausage/meatballs were dry I am just blown away at the audacity to charge $10 for a slice! I honestly almost walked away when they told me the price but I was in a rush to eat something quick. Nothing is cheap, but this is borderline criminal. Never again.

Yelp
Delicious pizza located in Bell Works! Pick up is super fast. We placed order at counter and they will txt you when done. Approximately 20 minutes! I recommend getting the large pie (vs the personal pie) since the ingredient proportions are better.

Yelp
Pretty good Italian American spot. 1) I highly recommend their meatballs, they were good. It also comes with some slides of bread. 2) They had personal pizza, which is for 2 people minimum. 3) I also recommend you get their chicken cutlet with it.

Yelp
Corbo & Sons is located inside a smallish food court in Bell Works. They currently serve 5 speciality pizzas. Either 12 or 16 inches in size. Come in right after opening on a Saturday (3:00). I've seen a few reviews in here mentioning wine. But we didn't see it on the menu. Think they were talking about Bar Bella which is right outside in the courtyard. Anyway... We were a party of 3 this time after checking out the farmers market right outside. Ordering up an appetizer first of those Veal ricotta meatballs. Very good start. Following that up with 2 small pizzas. A margherita , along with one white + rosemary. Of the two, white + rosemary was definitely the favorite. That one has ricotta, confit garlic and caramelized onions. Cooked perfectly with just a hint of garlic. And most important there was a fold and no flop. :) If it's only a few people, you will probably have leftovers. Worth a look if your in Holmdel and want to try brick oven pizza.

Yelp
I was once advised by one of my favorite Yelpers when he goes to a new pizzeria, he always orders a plain slice with a glass of water. This way, he can truly taste how good their pizza is. Taking his advice, Hubby and I decided to order a plain. At Corbo and Sons, you cannot order by the slice. Hubby and I ordered a 12" plain personal pizza. Believe me, it's big enough to feed two people. If you so desire, you can order a glass of wine or beer to go with your pizza. After ordering, we waited for about 13 minutes and our pie was ready. I truly appreciated their fast service but the question remains: is their pizza delicious? Have you ever had cheese that was so chewy and oddly enough, balls up in your mouth as you're consuming the slice? The reasoning behind that is two words: old cheese. Hubby and I ordered a 12" plain personal pizza. Believe me, it's good enough for two people. I took my first bite. The sauce was seasoned nicely with some oregano and the cheese was fresh. Very good start! My only complaint is that the thin crust was a bit soggy. It wasn't too bad but for a thin crust, I was expecting it to be crispier. The staff and service were very good and we will be returning to try other things. It passed the plain pizza test.

Yelp
Husband and I both had 2 different slices. Took 10 minutes to heat up and was burnt. I used the grated cheese, but was actually garlic in a grated cheese shaker. Garlic is fine so it poured out of the cheese shaker. I went back to the counter and told the girl what happened and she said we are not responsible for your mistake, I'll have to charge you again. I said forget it, throw my slice out I can't eat it. My husband says look, both slices are burnt. She says ok and gives us 2 cold slices. Whatever....done, won't be back there again

Yelp
Ordered was a plain cheese personal pizza. The pizza was good. Quality ingredients are used here. The crust was thin with a decent sized edge. Although it is thin, there is a slight chew to it. Topped with savory sauce and a good amount of mozzarella cheese for that perfect cheese pull after a bite. Notes: * Located in the Historic Bell Labs building in Holmdel. * Parking lot. It's huge. * Lots of eating areas.

Yelp
Ordered the white rosemary pie. Pizza crust was good but the pizza itself was a little bland. Maybe if the caramelized onion were dispersed a little more evenly or there was more rosemary. Service was relatively quick and food was hot.

Yelp
Pizza is average, but it is insane go me that they do not offer single slices. You can only order an entire pie. Today we came in and they turned away at least 20 customers because they were doing an online order and said they would be only taking orders 30 min after their opening time. Great way to lose a ton of money.

Yelp
We enjoyed an evening at Bar Bella & ordered dinner from Corbo & Sons. I really enjoyed the Veal Ricotta Meatballs & the Veal Milanese. Others in our party had the cheese platter & Mixed green salad. Everyone was pleased. Ordering was a little less than user friendly, but the food made up for it.

Yelp
Tasty pizza with a good crust. I went with the white pie, which has rosemary and onions.

Yelp
The most important thing on a pizza is the bread. I love bread. My reason for trying this place was the picture of a Naples style pizza crust on their website. Their photography, in fact, is amazing and why I spent an extra $10 on doordash to get it delivered. When I got it though, the crust was your typical run-of-the-mill crust that you can get at any average pizza place. Slight let down but the sauce and cheese were decent.

Yelp
(Where's the Shrewsbury location's reviews?) Excellent. Everything. Fresh ingredients prepared beautifully. The large dining room with its high ceiling creates a spacious feeling. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We ate at the "chef's counter" which suited us perfectly.

Yelp
This is definitely one of my go to spots for delicious, fresh food. Typically, on Fridays they offer a weekly special in addition to their already outstanding lineup. Chantelle and Jillian couldn't be more accommodating and always go out of their way to meet your needs. Between the wonderful food and great service I highly recommend Corbo and Sons.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Corbo & Sons. The owners and staff are more than welcoming and very attentive. We definitely had white glove service. The food was out of this world!!!! We had the White Rose pie, the Sausage with Pesto pie & Kale Caesar Salad. Every bite was delicious. The flavors of the homemade dough, fresh cheese & ingredients made me dive into more slices than my stomach can manage! We also had a delicious bottle of Rose and some Kane on tap! While the inside is beautiful, we had the pleasure of dining on the outside patio which was more than I expected. Location is 5 minutes off the parkway...perfect stop if you're heading to your favorite beach! This is a hidden gem that should never be hidden and highly recommend you stopping by! 5 starts isn't enough! Insta: pizza_snobs_

Yelp
Ordered the margarita pizza and it did not disappoint! They have a nice choice of beers and wines, service was really pleasant. Took food outside to eat where there are numerous tables and seating options. Will be back!

Michael H.

Yelp
The pizza was very sparse on mozzarella and basil - for the price charged - use some more ingredients. Rating 3 star as the pizza was ok and staff was friendly - a lot of room for improvement in the food. Also - to wait 70 mins for a pizza is a little tough to accept........ I will try it again as there truly are no good food options in Bellworks.......

Vic B.

Yelp
Ordered the large margherita pizza and it was good (note that the "large" said 16" but it didn't seem quite as large as what you'd get from a regular neighborhood pizzeria). One of us ordered a salad with chicken, and we were told that they only have one dressing! It was some type of mustard dressing. This dressing proved to be too sweet - fortunately it was served on the side. We realized that Caesar salad was on the menu, so we asked for Caesar dressing, since we didn't like the only other dressing they had. We had to fork over an extra dollar to get it! You'd think that after shelling out $50 for a pizza, a salad, two sodas and tip, the guy would have said "I'm sorry you didn't like the dressing, of course we'll give you a little cup of Caesar dressing!" Sure, it's only a dollar, but it's the principle!

Michael F.

Yelp
The wood burning ovens shut down at 3pm and there is no indication of that on the website or anywhere else, not good when that is what you come for. The pizza after they shut down made conventional is less than average the microwave meatballs were fair,

Yelp
Really fine food folks. Locally sourced ingredients, locals owners and of course staff. We had pasta with peas, mint and chicken ragu. Superb. I prefer this to beef Rafu. We also had veal and parm meatballs, not the usual bread and beef. A root veg salad rounded it out. Wine and beer avail. Adjacent to the gorgeous and serene outdoor mega deck facing the lake. I know it seems an odd place to go out but access, parking and atmosphere terrific. No better outdoor space around.

Nicole W.

Yelp
FIREHOUSE PEPPERONI, you must try it. But beware you might get addicted it's so good. The meatballs were out of this world. The people are so nice too. Deff a must try one of a kind place. You won't find pizza like this anywhere else. Trust me I'm a foodie.

Yelp
i had my wedding celebration there it was out of this world from staff to all accommodations menu was scrumptious and loved it all! thank you so. much for making my day special i

Yelp
Corbo & Sons has awesome pizza and a great wine selection! They know their stuff when it comes to great food!

Karl Z.

Yelp
Great food and great service from Jill and the rest of the staff. Experience gets better every time. Looking forward to returning again and again.

Nicole B.

Yelp
The food here is nothing short of excellent. It's high end restaurant quality food with all fresh ingredients. They are very knowledgeable about wine selections and sell delicious wines and craft beers that pair nicely with selections. I've even found a special treat or two in my order as a token of appreciation, which was a welcomed surprise for the kiddos. While great food may be easy to come by, I find that excellent client service is much harder to attain. The service, coupled with their excellent food, has made this my "go to" take out spot. I'm so happy to be able to support this local business. I've had no issues with their online ordering or wait times. I would make specific recommendations on food but you really can't go wrong with any of their selections.

Jenn P.

Yelp
I can't speak to the food, because I've been waiting for my order for 45 minutes now. They don't tell you when your order's going to be ready when you call, and it's clearly because they don't have their act together enough to handle an order as small as a single pizza with even the tinies semblance of efficiency. There's about a dozen other people here waiting for orders at the moment, so this clearly isn't an isolated mishap, but a pattern of terrible service. They won't be open long at this rate.

Nick F.

Yelp
Any pizza coming out of that oven is a work of art. You can easily tell they use the best quality produce and has a great eye for a unique pizza style. Huge fan and would recommend you go out of your way to try it!
