"Corinne is a large restaurant at the Austin Marriott Downtown, and now they’ve opened a second location at The Domain. This one, however, is at The Westin—though you don’t need to be a guest of either hotel to stop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs

"Located at the bottom of the Thompson Hotel, the lobby restaurant is dishing up a la carte raw and roasted oysters, along with Port City Southern fare akin to sister restaurant, the Grey in Savannah, Georgia. There are indoor dine-in services." - Darcie Duttweiler
"The downtown hotel restaurant’s timely men includes the Here Comes Santa (a gin-cream-cinnamon cocktail) and the Nutty Uncle (rye whiskey and pomegranate cocktail). There are indoor dine-in services." - Nadia Chaudhury
"A friend and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner out at chef Mashama Bailey’s upscale-ish Southern restaurant Diner Bar within the Thompson Austin hotel. I waited for her at the bar with a lovely array of oysters and a very dirty martini that was just what I needed. For our proper dinner, we shared the fried ugali, an African staple dish consisting of ground cornmeal, paired with a mega-flavorful salsa macha, that was even better than boring old slices of bread. I also got the really succulent shrimp with Carolina gold rice, which was lovely, plus a side of the oh-so-creamy pureed potatoes (the leftovers of which served as my hangover-prevention meal much, much later that evening). I was very, very happy. —NC" - Nadia Chaudhury
