We had family from out of town for the holidays, and other family coming from Newberg, Vancouver and parts of Portland. We plannedthe week ahead and I checked the website the day before and saw they opened at 8am on the day we planned to go. At 8:05am I called and their message said to send a text, so I did, telling them we'd have a party of nine. They had not responded so I called back an hour later, when everyone was enroute, as a courtesy, although they don't accept reservations, to let them know we'd be there with nine people. The guy I spoke to was very nice, thanked me for the heads up. About five minutes later, someone else called me and told me they could not accommodate us since we had more than 8. I told her two were kids, that we were coming from all over and already on the way, that I had both texted and called, nor does their website state this. She was not unkind, but still asserted that they could not accommodate us. We had to then figure out another place to go, as well as have everyone reroute, backtrack, etc. I get it if you can't accommodate over a certain number. This should be stated on their website. It would have been better customer service to say "We really appreciate your patronage. We're so sorry we did not notify you of this rule. Since two of the people are kids, including a small one, and some you're already on your way, we can accommodate you this once". Instead, we had to totally turn around, go start over elsewhere, and wasted quite a bit of time we could have been spending as a family. It's likely that none of us will try this place again. Very frustrating.
