Yelp
This restaurant has such high reviews for ramen, my bf and I decided to try this place out. It is a little bit out of the way, but we figured if it is for some bomb.com ramen, it'd be worth the drive. Unfortunately it fell short of good. We were quite disappointed, mainly because we are religious Yelp followers and we weren't impressed.
I did like the simple, modern decor and I liked how cozy it was for a ramen shop. It made you feel like you're about to eat a meal at home. The service was also very good, the food came out promptly and the waitresses were attentive. Now, to the food. My bf ordered the Spicy tonkatsu (should be tonkotsu as another reviewer pointed out. Yes, these are 2 very different dishes with one mistaken letter). I ordered the normal Tonkotsu. My bf ramen had more taste, but it was more from the chili oil and salt rather than enhancing the natural taste of the pork broth. Mine was basically water and salt. If I had to guess, I wouldn't have even guessed it was pork broth. I did like the amount of corn and noodles that were in my bowl, however they completely forgot corn in my bf's bowl. The pork slices were pork slices, and the egg was tastey. However, not cooked the correct way for ramen.
For $13 a bowl , it's hard for me to find a reason to come back.
