William Sitwell ‘Killing Vegans’ Remarks Enrage Internet via Buzzfeed | Eater London

"The Mayfair chef-owner, taking part in a Bloomberg taste test of meal-replacement drinks, judged Huel acceptable while describing Saturo as 'chalky' and Soylent as bland, and voiced a preference for the social rituals of dining—sharing food and opening a bottle of wine—over single‑serving substitutes." - James Hansen

London’s Restaurant Critics Were Causing Trouble in All Sorts of Ways Last Week | Eater London

"Tucked into a clubby, velvet-and-leather dining room with carved hunting panels and feathered lamps, this place aims for an indulgent, boozy long lunch and largely delivers on the old-school food: beautifully silky soup, exceptional bread-and-butter, and a starkly presented game pie (pheasant with smoked sausage) that reviewers called “a beautiful thing.” Attempts at modern touches — a deconstructed lemon meringue and a riff on the full English — feel hackneyed, and service undermines the experience at times: starchy, upsell-prone staff, cruise-ship jazz muzak, two dishes nearly stone-cold, and a fiddliness on the plate that prevents the comfortably replete state of a true capital-L Lunch, leaving the critic ultimately dissatisfied." - George Reynolds

This place will casually knock your socks off. Corrigan’s nails that sweet spot: classy enough to impress, comfortable enough to enjoy, funny enough (if you’re paying attention) to keep you entertained. If you leave hungry or unhappy, that’s a you problem. Eating at Corrigan’s made me question my life choices—like why I ever wasted time at other restaurants. Corrigan’s is so good I briefly considered licking the plate. I didn’t. I’m classy. Sure, the food’s amazing. But the bartenders? Unreal. I’d trust them to run the country. Bottom line, Corrigan’s has ruined other restaurants for me. Thanks a lot…

We were outside for my grandaughters 21st birthday. Wonderful wait staff, very friendly and attentive. We had 25 people and our waitress was like a nascar pit crew!!

I’ve been here a few times since they opened and this was the first time I ate and had their chicken Alfredo and baked mostaccioli. They were good, but I have to say the mixed drinks barely had any alcohol in them. Very tasty just very low alcohol. I also agree with my friend that was with me that they need to lose the LED lights on the stages because it literally burns into your retina and it’s difficult to watch people on stage. Otherwise, I like it.

First, hats off to the cook: my cheeseburger and fries were on point and were in no way let down by the mediocre ingredients. This man made ordinary into delicious on that grill; well done to you sir! Overall, this place has a nice atmosphere - sort of a chill, slightly upscale vibe. Someone clearly invested a lot of money and sweated the details. The staff here is amazing, polite and efficient to a one. Good place to watch a ball game.

Big menu with large variety of choices. Entrees are priced right. We had shrimp, irish dip, and the sliders. All food was average. Service was excellent and rarely had to wait more than a couple minutes for any request. Good place for drinks and to see a band.

Review.. last year, when they changed up from Skooters to Corrigans, their food wasn't great as expected. So this year -2025, we decided to give it another get-go. July 12th, the order, Mushroom burger, delicious. Not one for burgers, I was surprised. Mac n cheese bowel to dye for. Must order...husband tried the Ruben again, this time around, good. Real corn beef this time, not lunch meat. Onion ring, perfect and real. Lol We decided to try again this evening, Ole Smokie punch drinks, good. Must try, $5 on Tues. It's not too sweet, perfect for a hot day. The food was delicious and amazing. Firecracker shrimp, bomb. If you like bang-bang salad, you'll love these. Chopped salad was good, plenty for the buck. Took half home to Mom. Of course, hubby got the Ruben again since he liked it so much the last time. Good job, guys, and gals on upping your food choices and compliments to the cooks. Service, bartender on 12th, was a doll. What I liked about her the most was that she remembered everyone's name and called them by it. She was conversational, laughed, and chatted. She is a keeper. Today, this evening waitress James, think was her name. Oh boy, great service. She deserves a dinner for her wonderful, cheerful manner. Polite, socialized, on time, helpful, and patient cause I couldn't figure out what I wanted. Another keeper... So I changed my rating. Let see how it goes from here as they grow a little more. Thank you to both of these ladies for your hard work and for putting up with the public. It's not easy.

Great food, great service. I have been here many times and have never had a bad experience, I even enjoyed live entertainment on a sunday afternoon. The firecracker shrimp is a must have, and definitely recommend the burgers.

My wife and I were super excited to try this new spot. The place is massive so there is a ton of seating, we walked in on a packed Friday night and got a table right away. The hostess, managers, and our server were all incredibly friendly. We tried the wings as an appetizer, they’re very good as well as massive. The amount of sauce was perfect, definitely worth a try. My wife got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It may be one of the best I’ve had, the chicken was fried perfectly, all the sauces were just right which made an amazing bite. I was super excited for the Ruben and to be honest was disappointed, the corned beef was dry and firm, sauce was on the side which to me made no sense, I expected the Irish place to make a good ruben, that said, I’ll give it another try. Also the sweet potato waffle fries… delicious. We will be back for sure
