The 23 Best Brunches In London

"Corrochio’s is a fun Mexican restaurant in Dalston that serves submarine-sized tortas for brunch, and, crucially, margaritas. If you’re with a group, we highly suggest sweet-talking the staff for one of the comfy booths. Get the tortas, as well as the chilaquiles. The corn tortilla chips soak up the moreish salsa verde and come topped with shredded chicken and a fried egg that dribbles into the refried beans, mixing together to make a messy, very good bite." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

The 18 Best Restaurants In Dalston

"Corrochio's Cocina is your reason to get out of bed after the previous night's bar crawl that ended in Mascara Bar at 3am. The tacos at this Mexican spot are good, but when the hangover kicks in, it’s the chilaquiles you’ll want to order. The corn tortilla chips—some still crispy, some soggy after soaking up moreish salsa verde—come topped with tender shredded chicken, gooey cheese, and a fried egg on top that dribbles into the refried beans to create a messy, delicious bite. " - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna

The 17 Best Places For Brunch In East London

"Even at brunch, tables at this fun Mexican restaurant are strewn with empty margarita glasses and laughter drowns out the music. The best thing on the menu at this Dalston spot is the chilaquiles. The corn tortilla chips—some still crispy, some soggy after soaking up moreish salsa verde—come topped with tender shredded chicken, gooey cheese, and rings of crunchy red onion. The fried egg on top dribbles into the refried beans and the whole thing mixes together to make a messy, delicious bite. Hot sauce is encouraged. Order a submarine-sized torta for the table too. Corrochio's Review - Stoke Newington - London - The Infatuation

"Corrochio’s is the sort of place you visit at 1pm on a Saturday and spy a couple wrapped around each other beneath the sepia glow of a fringed lamp, their table strewn with empty margarita glasses. Opposite them, boisterous children hammer the table demanding tortas, and a group of friends clink pink guava coolers. Our only explanation for the broad appeal is that chilaquiles like these are a great unifier. The basement level of this moodily lit cocina in Stoke Newington has the smoky feel of a saloon, with enough crucifixes for you to become concerned you’ve stepped inside the headquarters of a cult—one with exceptional catering.  We prefer the brunch menu because you can get the best thing here—the chilaquiles. Hot sauce is optional but encouraged. The brunch menu also has tortas. It’s hard to find great Mexican torta in London but this submarine-size roll is a good one. The tacos are pretty good, but you’ll find , so stick to rounds of topped chips and margaritas. I came here for my birthday dinner with family & I’m so glad I chose this place!! Very authentic, delicious Mexican food. They gave me a free tequila shot too! My brother is vegan and they were happy to accomodate. I can’t wait to come back! The drinks were great too. If you’re keen on more drinks after dinner, I highly recommend going next door to their cocktail bar as well. 10/10

The best tacos I’ve had so far (though I haven’t been to Mexico yet). We tried the Taco Birria, Tostada De Camaron, and Queso Fundido. Everything was spectacular and gave a genuinely Mexican experience. Taco Birria isn’t easy to find in London, and Corocchio’s does it perfectly. The Tostada De Camaron was a fresh, spicy addition to the table; despite the heat, it still had a palate-cleansing effect thanks to its ceviche base. The Queso Fundido with grilled cactus was far better than any other cactus-based Mexican dish I’ve had elsewhere, which usually end up a bit bland. The atmosphere is vibrant, with traditional decorations and lighting. We had reservation for a Friday evening so you may want to check availability if you’ll be there on a Friday or a Saturday. We also made the most of happy hour with spicy margaritas, which were delicious and complemented our meal nicely. They offer churros for dessert, but we were too full from the mains, so that’s one for next time. We’ll definitely be back!

My partner and I come all the time for dinner, but this was our first time trying brunch. It was incred! We had the chicken chilaquiles and pork torta — the chilaquiles were better than my mum’s (don’t tell her that)! My partner really enjoyed the torta as well, along with the cafe de olla. Staff is always so lovely too!

Snazzy tacos. Maybe a little pricey especially when you add up a number of delicious margaritas, but super tasty, and the ceviche is insane. Buzzing atmosphere. We didnt have a table but managed to squeeze us in after a drink downstairs. Book in advance for taco heaven

Went here for a date and it was perfect! Went on a taco Tuesday night, definitely recommend booking a table as it’s normally fully booked. The tacos were 10/10 service and food too. They also had a mini unlimited buffet that you could grab sauces and beans from it was unreal definitely coming back.

The service was super friendly and warm! The server was super helpful with recommending dishes and adjusting or order for a more well rounded meal. The tacos are the best I've had in ages plus the octopus tostada is not to be missed (exceptional). Fantastic atmosphere and wonderful vibes. Great cocktails, you can't go wrong!

It took me 37 years to realose that Mexican is my favourite cuisine. There are not that many Mexican restaurants in London, but this one stands out. The food was very good. From start to finish, not one of complained. We all agreed that this was a spot worth coming back to. The fish tacos were exceptional, and I could eat them every single day. Their cocktails were also outstanding. I can't think of a better place in London for Mexican food. We will be back!
