Chef Jonathan Lundy’s Latin-inspired hotspot serves nixtamalized tortillas, bright ceviches, and dialed-in margaritas. A regular editor pick and cited by Southern Living; beloved downtown for flavor-packed plates that feel both Kentucky-rooted and globetrotting.

If you're looking for a good taco place look no further! My husband and I came here for an early dinner around 5:30 pm on a Friday and didn't have to wait for a table inside. There are also some tables outside. They're known for their margaritas, and I got the watermelon one on the rocks. It was delicious! We got the queso without chorizo. It was nice and thick! It could have used a little more flavor though. The chips were good but a little salty. I got smoked pork tacos which were very tasty. I got the honey jalapeno salsa on the side, which I was glad I did because it was a little hot for me. They put a lot of meat on the tacos, so I think you're getting a good deal for the price. I would come back here again!

Cute authentic Mexican place in downtown Lex! We got chips and guac and queso for apps- all good! Everyone at the table enjoyed their tacos and enchiladas for dinner also.

We visit this place quite often. The food is good, but the service is lacking. We saw the people beside us eating this large plate of nachos. We asked our waiter what it was so we could order it. He told us it was the happy nachos so we said that we want that. They brought us a cardboard container with a few nachos in it, about a 1/3 of the size of the people next to us. When we asked him about the plate, he just blew us off and said I’ll bring you a plate to put it in. Poor service but yummy food.

Crispy shrimp tacos with guacamole and chips as an appetizer was the perfect recipe to put me in a good mood. And the service was smoothly excellent. This place is in the middle of a string of solid eats on this street and will continue to explore when I’m in town. Love it.

**Allergy friendly!** I was so thrilled with how they handled my allergies at this cute little restaurant. I'm allergic to wheat and dairy, and many servers just shrug and don't care about helping. Our server checked about dressing and had the chef suggest a substitute that is allergy friendly so I could enjoy my salad. She also spoke with the manager about how to accommodate me with the regular meal, and he quickly marked off a menu with what would be safe to eat. My meal was fantastic, and nothing was lacking. (Often, they just leave out the allergens, but this was full of flavor, and I didn't feel slighted.) I will definitely visit again the next time I'm in Lexington!

Delightfully filling Saturday brunch breakfast burrito stuffed with chorizo, egg, and potatoes. Grace was a wonderful waitress.

Corto Lima in Lexington is such a vibe! Our waiter, John, was seriously the best—super nice and knew his stuff. He put us on to their dragon fruit margaritas (not even on the menu, but so good), so of course, we had to try them… and 10/10! He also helped our friend pick out the perfect mocktail and even recommended some non-alcoholic beers, which was much appreciated. Food-wise, we went with steak tacos (I asked for chimichurri sauce with mine in the pic), two orders of porky tacos, and cheese dip—everything was fire. The chips? Elite. Even though we were stuffed, John suggested espresso martinis instead of dessert,… chef’s kiss. The place itself is super cute, but it does get loud—kind of Texas Roadhouse levels of energy (probably from the high ceilings). It was a little chilly by the door, and the tables are pretty close together, but honestly, the good food and great service made up for it. All in all, an awesome spot with an even better waiter. Shoutout to John for the good vibes—we’ll be back!
