Cosmic Funnel Cake

The pier was popping, and the night was young... but the funnel cakes, unfortunately, were not so yum. Great atmosphere, quick turnaround for as busy as they were. I would say the cake itself was ok. The batter/ cake is a little too thick/heavy for my liking. I like it when a funnel cake is light and fluffy on the inside and a Lil crispy on the outside. On a positive note, it was a pretty looking cake.

First time trying funnel cake. Love it! The cake was warm when I got it. Soft inside and crispy outside. I only finished a quarter of it.

I like the cakes! They were really generous with the portions and strawberries and the cake was still crispy when we bought.

“Funnel Cakes” is a dessert shop on Santa Monica Pier # 2. These Funnel Cakes, also known as Elephant Ears, are made by pouring batter through a specially made funnel and fried until golden brown. You can enjoy these funnel cakes with powdered sugar, fruit topping, whipped cream, and ice cream. They also feature novelty ice creams. The taste of the funnel cakes is good. This shop is crowded most of the time. Their overall service is okay. The price is also reasonable.

USD9.00 for whipped cream and strawberry variant. But good for 4 people. Delicious! Make sure you leave plenty of room for dessert. It's a take-out type but there are plenty of public seating. The cakes are made to order but it was a quick wait.

I tried funnel cake for the first time and I'm happy with it. It was quite good and also the people there were very friendly too.

Enjoyed the "Classic" funnel cake without whipped cream

There was no line, so we ordered right away. We received our funnel cake within seconds, didn’t even have to go to the pick up window. Funnel cake was obviously premade, barely warm and soggy.
