"Inhale the salty sea air of the little port of Cancale, which makes for a picturesque sight with its fishermen's houses. In this restaurant overlooking the bay, you can sample cuisine that showcases first and foremost local coastal produce, but not to the exclusion of other ingredients: scallops, oysters, saltmarsh lamb, lobster, abalones… And all at eater-friendly prices." - Michelin Inspector

The presentation of the dishes at this restaurant was appealing, with visually pleasing plating. However, the food itself was fairly unremarkable—pleasant enough, but nothing that left a lasting impression. Our friends from Maine, seasoned lobster enthusiasts, were particularly underwhelmed by the lobster. They noted that it lacked the delicate, sweet flavor they typically expect from the dish, suggesting that something may have gone wrong in the preparation. Given their expertise in fresh lobster, I trust their assessment. On the upside, the staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to an overall pleasant dining atmosphere. But while the service and presentation were commendable, the food ultimately didn’t quite meet expectations, especially for those with a discerning palate for seafood.

Wow, wow and again wow. Amazing restaurant. Fine dinning at it's best. Every dish was an experience including the in between appetizers. All dishes were top starts and for this experience, I would consider this place as expensive ( the more expensive menu is 89 euro per person, including start, main, deserts and in between appetizers). The foie gras was the best one I ever had. The service was also excellent and professional (and they have menu in English!). Highly recommend!!!

Amazing experience! Wil recommend this restaurant to all my friends visiting the area. The restaurant has a beautiful view of Cancale main beach. The food was delightful, elegant, fresh and very tasty. They are only using local products and the value for money is great if you are looking to try the local food. Service was friendly, great attention to detail. Will be back, next time I am coming to Brittany.

Wonderful restaurant. Stunning view of Cancale and the bay (including Mont Saint Michel in the distance!) from an elevated point on the edge of the town. We loved it so much we went back on the last night of our stay. Beautiful food, excellent service, great location.

We have just departed from having a wonderful meal at Côté Mer at Cancale. The staff were all extremely attentive and pleasant. The food was superbly presented and the crockery, cutlery and glasswear matched the quality of the food. Comfortable seats too which isn’t always the case. even in nice restaurants. We had an outside table on the raised terrace with unobstructed views of the bay (and Mont St Michel in the distance) and the sun even made an appearance. The price for 3 courses, wine and coffee was 97€ for 2, which I think for the whole experience, was exceptional. There was no pressure to depart our table so we had a beautiful, leisurely lunch for just over 2 hours. Highly recommend.
