Country House Villadorata

Excellent service and overall a nice property. We had one of the “eco suites” that had a plunge pool. The plunge pool came in very handy, as when we were there (July 2025), it was very hot and humid (mid 90’s F; mid 30’s C). Walking from where you park your car to your room can be quite lengthy, and in the heat takes a lot out of you. They do have a very nice swimming pool as well. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. ||The property is located about 10 minutes from Noto, and also an easy drive to Siracusa, Ortigia and other places. ||Overall, very nice. A minor critique: they should provide more water, since the water from the sink is not drinkable. They provide one (large) bottle in the am and another in the pm. If you take water from the fridge in the room, they charge you. Since the property is kind of remote, with no “shop” to purchase water, sunscreen or anything, they should make water more readily available.

Country House Villadorata is a beautiful respite, but very close to Noto and the other Baroque towns. While it is a newer property, the owner took care to build in a way that compliments the beautiful surroundings, so that it has the feel of something that has been there for a long time. The staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable. We stayed in a deluxe terrace room, which was nice, but if I were to go again, I would pony up for the Eco suites. We did not go inside one, but from the outside, they look amazing and have more privacy than the terrace rooms. We used CHV as our home base for visiting Noto, Ragusa, and Modica, and it worked beautifully for that. I would highly recommend Country House Villadorata. One note (which they are aware of) - if you need a fitness center, they don't have one yet. However, our charming host commented in her beautiful Sicilian accent, that "you can have a jog," which became a tag line for our trip!

Lovely stylish hotel in the middle of Sicilian countryside, wineries and orange trees. IMO the pool setting is the most beautiful part, we could relax, stay in the shade and let the day pass. The restaurant food is also great if you are into degustations and Michelin. Our room smelled so sweet, like jasmine.

You enter a gated large country estate overflowing with almond and lemon trees and warm friendly greetings. And your stay only gets better from there. A gracious and accommodating staff will assist with your daytrips and reservations. They bend over backwards to make your stay delightful. ||I believe there are only 14 rooms/residences available, but I strongly recommend the Eco-Suites with plunge pool and beautiful views of the property. Before booking, I considered their sister property in Noto (Villadorata Seven Rooms), but after checking with previous Country House guests (who insisted that because Noto was such a close and easy drive from Country House, it was far better to stay and experience the Noto countryside than to stay "in town"), we opted for the country. It was clearly the correct choice for us, as we loved the quiet, calm respite of Country House after day trips to Noto, Modica, Ragusa and Siracusa. ||I would strongly recommend the 8-course on-site dinner at Orti and the equally wonderful, but more casual, in-town Osteria Villadorata. Oh, and if you need a break from the full dinners you've been having throughout Sicily, take a break and enjoy great pizza and inexpensive Sicilian wines at the delicious, family-friendly pizza ristorante in Noto, Casamatta.

The rural setting is simply stunning and this is the perfect place for total relaxation. The food in the restaurant is innovative and delicious using many locally produced ingredients . Every member of staff is friendly and incredibly welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble - we had a perfect stay

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Dorata country house. The amenities are a haven of style and comfort, we have been taken care of by the team in an exceptional way and the good was really out of this world. We stay often at great hotels but this one takes a special place in our heart.

Country House Villadorata is a gem of a boutique eco hotel, beautifully positioned in the lush verdant countryside just outside of Noto. Stylishly designed without being overly fussy or pretentious, the architecture is thoughtfully positioned to seamlessly blend into the rolling hills and provides gorgeous vistas throughout. The staff is professional yet personable, very high touch to guests’ needs. I was made to feel “at home”, as it were, nothing was impossible, every service deliverable. Overall my stay was “eco luxe” and most enjoyable!

A great country hotel. The two most important things for me are comfort of room (spacious, great linens & comfortable bed) & quality of the restaurant. Both are excellent.
