Specialty grocery offering hearty sandwiches, prepared foods & quality meats

"After a run, you could always just go home and make a sandwich. And this sandwich would probably be pretty decent. But you didn’t wake up this morning, go through the trouble of putting on clothes, and go for a run just so you could eat something pretty decent. Instead, go to Court Street Grocers, and get a turkey reuben on toasted rye, a muffuletta, or an exceptional tuna sandwich with horseradish and cranberry sauce." - bryan kim
"Yes, you can purchase a solid BEC at just about any bodega, but most bodegas don't have Balthazar ciabatta. Court Street Grocers does, and that's a big part of the reason why you should go out of your way to get a BEC here. The ciabatta bun is crisp and chewy, and it comes stuffed with soft scrambled eggs and a generous amount of quality bacon. There's also a little arugula in there. It doesn't bring much to the table, but it's always nice to know that you're consuming a vitamin or two with your breakfast." - team infatuation

"Cited as another New York outlet that will carry the fermented soy milk–based cheddar Plonts; noted only as a menu location to sample the brand's 'cheese that stinks,' with no additional description of the shop itself." - Jaya Saxena
"The second coming of Court Street Grocers in Greenwich Village is the best thing to happen to our lunch routine in a long time. The menu is long, but the good news is you can’t mess this up. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"The team behind Court Street Grocers — Eric Finkelstein and Matt Ross — are opening a small Lower East Side bakery with Zoë Kanan that will offer breads and pastries with a Jewish bent (knishes, pletzel flatbreads), plus savory items like sausages and sandwiches." - Emma Orlow
