"Yes, you can purchase a solid BEC at just about any bodega, but most bodegas don't have Balthazar ciabatta. Court Street Grocers does, and that's a big part of the reason why you should go out of your way to get a BEC here. The ciabatta bun is crisp and chewy, and it comes stuffed with soft scrambled eggs and a generous amount of quality bacon. There's also a little arugula in there. It doesn't bring much to the table, but it's always nice to know that you're consuming a vitamin or two with your breakfast." - team infatuation

But you didn’t wake up this morning, go through the trouble of putting on clothes, and go for a run just so you could eat something pretty decent. "Like the other three Court Street Grocers locations, this one in Williamsburg serves a big menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Morning options include a BEC and breakfast tacos, and there are a lot more options in the afternoon, with sandwiches ranging from a vegan one with roasted cauliflower to a very heavy meatloaf option with cheese sauce. Our favorite is the roast beef with housemade BBQ sauce, horseradish mayo, and crispy onions. There are only about 12 seats, and this spot closes at 6pm most days, so keep it in mind for a takeout breakfast or lunch." - Matt Tervooren
