"Cowbell Kitchen, co-founded by Kaeley Annaliese 'KK' Brady and Cheryl Straser, started as a food truck and expanded to a farmers market fixture before opening a brick-and-mortar location in Leesburg, Virginia. I love this cafe! It’s my favorite place in Leesburg. It has a cute and cozy little outdoor seating courtyard that’s just far away enough from the street noise to feel peaceful. The food is alittle pricey but delicious!

Google
Very laid back Sunday breakfast. Outdoor and indoor seating . We ordered the breakfast bowl , still water Toast . The ice coffee was like water down for me but iced americano was strong. I recommend the kombucha and farm bowl . Good selection of gluten free options

Google
On the table, biscuit, fried egg, bacon, tots, breakfast pizza, mini cupcake, rkt, scone, iced almond caramel latte, and a mimosa. Not one single bad item. Cowbell Kitchen nails it on taste. Eating the biscuit was such a pleasant experience. Flavorful, crumbly, HUGE! I would recommend and I would return.

Google
Cute concept and had high hopes for this all female restaurant but it definitely fell short. The egg biscuit contained “egg” that tasted rubbery and it was so boiling hot that by the time you could eat it, the rest of the sandwich was cold. The atmosphere was cute but the place is noisy and loud and the tables are not cleaned in between customers. Multiple empty tables with crumbs on them and had to request for a server to clean. Disappointed and won’t be back.

Google
The place has great, fairly priced food. Their Sammie is excellent. However, they tend to prioritize online orders, so the wait time (especially in the morning) can be considerable (30-45 mins). I learned that if you show up in person and place an order on the app, you'll actually get your order faster. They should consider elastic staffing scheduling as quality also suffers - we have been served undercooked potatoes and bacon (this last time we found egg shells in our strawberry muffin). Quality assurance shouldn't suffer if the place is properly staffed. I also suggest automating dine in order to avoid human error and instead use the current cashier to handle drinks. Atmosphere is nice, but not enough to distract your toddlers for long. Overall, great food, but service is a work in progress and speed of order fulfillment, forget about it, just order online.

Google
My daughter and I went to this restaurant on a rainy Sunday for brunch and it was perfect. Very casual and relaxed atmosphere. You can order your food at the table or you can go to the back of the main house where their kitchen is to place your order. The food was really good and while you wait you can read, shop or simply look around. The service was quick and our server was very friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be back!

Oh how I love Cowbell Kitchen! The peach basil smoothie bowl makes my southern California soul happy! It's refeshing, delicious, filled with healthy chia and home made nite butter goodness and is sure to make you smile. The ladies who work here are so lovely and clearly take such pride in what they create. Don't forget the chocolate orange scones and the breakfast bowl. Thanks Cowbell for bringing the good vibes and healthy food to our little town!

Google
First time at their new location and it is absolutely lovely. Indoor decor is very charming, outdoor seating is very spacious and comfortable. The Veggie Burger was delicious and so were the fries. I enjoyed a dragon fruit lemonade which was both tart and sweet, it was very tasty. Staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. Even the guests who were also eating outside was pleasant to be around. All around great vibes.

Yelp
Lovely outdoor patio seating. Delicious food with many tasty vegetarian options. Felt warm and cozy.

Yelp
What's going on with this place? It used to have a huge variety of pastries. Now there might be two options. The pastry shop is cluttered with all kinds of knickknacks. They already have an entire store why jam up the pastry shop? We used to come here all the time. Really hope it's just a winter season thing and they get back to how they used to operate.

Yelp
This place is super precious with every item made with care! There's limited indoor dine-in seating, but it's also fast casual so people come and go quickly. There's a lot it cute outdoor patio space too. To go works too of course. I had a seasonal pumpkin muffin and it was delish! My friends like the Italian hoagie and the biscuit sandwich. i def recommend for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Yelp
Happy to restore our faith: we stopped by on a rainy day sitting out in the covered porch enjoying the beautiful garden opposite. It seems all of the bad issues we faced before were corrected: staff was very friendly, order process smooth, and food was actually brought to the table. Very happy with the improvement!

Yelp
Deliciousss!!! We had a bit of a hard time finding parking so we parked in a lot about 7 mins walking distance. It was good since we had our doggos anyway and we got to see how cute downtown leesburg is. I got a chicken sandwich without the buns- the chicken was delicious and moist. I loved the sautéed pepper and onions being mixed in. It has a nice flavor and seasoning was perfect. My chai tea was delicious! My mom inhaled her French toast and even finished a side salad + avocado. The side salad was very fresh. I like that it's women owned and run. Power to you ladies. The storefront itself is tiny but they have spacious outdoor seating and the indoor seating is across the building. It's super cute. Their pastries looked amazing so I'll try that next time. We'll certainly be coming back as they left a lasting impression.

Yelp
It was a really hot day, and I was looking for a snack to cool me down. The indoor seating area was packed, so we decided to sit outside instead. We walked in and were instantly greeted by the staff. There were so many cute pastries on display, and I had difficulty figuring out what to choose. We ended up going with the matcha white chocolate cutie cake and the peach smoothie bowl. The cake was difficult to eat as the plastic forks and spoons could not pierce through it easily. Not sure if this needs to be cooled down before eating, but I'd likely not get this again for that reason. The peach smoothie bowl was definitely the standout! It was very refreshing and had a strong peach flavor. I'm really interested in trying some of the other seasonal flavors when I come back! I'd also like to come back for brunch next time as the breakfast menu sounded really good.

Yelp
Lovely place. Staff is very nice. Female owned! You order at the counter and find a table (first come first serve) and they bring your order to you. Next time I go I think I'll explore the breakfast bowls. The sandwich was delicious but a lot of biscuit... but good nonetheless! Mocha was 10/10. The vibe is cozy. And after you eat you can stop by the shop in-house and buy some jewelry, antique kitchenware, flowers, etc.

Yelp
Came for brunch last week with my family. I got the Farmer's Market Bowl. The food was incredible! Great portion size for the price. The hummus and cashew cream enhanced the flavor as well, and the falafel was cooked perfectly. Food came promptly and was delivered by a nice staff member. The patio was adorable, and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There is also additional seating upstairs, which is surrounded by rooms with various local products. My sister and I stayed for a bit to do some work, and they had free wifi as well. Would definitely come again!

Yelp
I checked out Cowbell Kitchen for breakfast this morning - first time visiting. Took me a bit to find a place to park - no parking lot - as this business is located in Old Town Leesburg off of North King Street. I finally managed to find a curb spot. There is a public parking garage (with free parking for the first 2 hours) on the other side of the street behind the businesses - but my experience with that garage has been hit or miss. The previous last two visits to Old Town Leesburg yielded a totally full parking garage - and the second time - I got the last parking spot in the entire garage. Anyhoo - I ordered their OG Breakfast Sammich - with Bacon and on a Biscuit. I inquired about the availability of "cold brew" as I did not see it on the menu. They don't currently offer cold brew - only iced coffee - and the two are not the same. While I was waiting, I was ogling some of the baked goods in the display case - I'm a total slut for anything with blueberries - and they had the most amazing looking gigantic blueberry muffins, and the blueberry scones looked amazing! I got my sammich to go. You can eat on-site in a few places. There is a small bar inside by the window with a few spots with bar stools. There is also an outdoor courtyard - and an inside seating area across the other side of the courtyard. The sammich is HUGE! I ate half of it - and then the other half later as a snack. A word of warning - if you attempt to eat in the car (as I did) - you will experience a lot of biscuit crumbs! Very tasty! Service was good! I will be back! #CowbellKitchen

Yelp
Food was delicious and fresh. Prices were great and the place was clean. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. All the workers were nice and helpful. Recommend this cute little brunch spot!

Yelp
Cowbell Kitchen is an adorable little cafe on the outskirts of Old Town Leesburg, and it's got it all: delicious food, loads of seating both indoor and outdoor, friendly service, and a great atmosphere to enjoy your meal. I'd passed by the place for years until I finally tried it, and I regret not doing so sooner! The location can be a bit confusing - I had tried entering through the door off of Main Street, but that's actually just their indoor seating area. The counter and kitchen is located in a second building through the walkway next to the patio. I ordered one of their seasonal specials, the Burratta Grilled Cheese. I only had to wait for about 5 minutes until it was ready. It was basically a Caprese salad in sandwich form, and it was delicious. They were generous with the cheese and the tomato jam. It also came with three Gherkin pickles on the side. It was definitely a great way to start my day! I will definitely be back to try more of their menu, as well as their pastries. It also seems like a nice study spot alternative to the library or Starbucks, if that's something you're into.

Yelp
What does a girl love more than a smoothie bowl and flowers? :D This was sooo good. Strawberry basil was refreshing and the granola was so tasty. You don't usually expect a to go order to look this good. Love all the vegan options.
google avatar

Yelp
First off, this place is really cute and the food is very good. There were a couple of things that were annoying as a customer, tho. First off, I ordered the Rise N' Shine, and I asked for it with their roasted potatoes. At first they told me they were all out of the potatoes, but then said I could pay extra for them as a side, even though it plainly says that the roasted potatoes are an option with the dish that does not cost extra. So you're not out of them, but I have to pay extra even tho I am supposed to have them as an option with my entree? Cool. Then, I asked for some jam to go with the toast that comes with my meal, and was told that costs extra too! What? I have to pay extra for jam with my breakfast toast? So lame.

Yelp
Their breakfast bowls are incredible, and their buckwheat pancakes are epic! Everything on the menu is hearty and big and nutritious. I love having a place to go that has farm fresh food that not a greasy mess. It's bright and feel good! The space is perfect and sweet and great for meeting friends and having a little lunch/brekky date. Highly recommend

Melanie P.

Yelp
Pup friendly outdoor covered seating - huge plus for a rainy Saturday. It's on the pricier side but worth it - the avocado toast was one of the best I've had! A huge 2 slice portion that can definitely be split. Side of tater tots was also a healthy portion and delish with homemade ketchup! Definitely worth giving this place a look!

Yelp
If you find your way to Leesburg, VA stop at Cowbell Kitchen. It's a cute little breakfast and lunch spot. We can't wait to come back! They even have vegan and gluten-free baked goods! The gluten-free bread was delicious and enormous! They have gluten-free cookies, cupcakes, and more!
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast! Super busy so we waited a bit for food. Enjoyed rise and shine (traditional eggs, bacon, tots), French toast, breakfast sandwich, and avocado toast. Everything was fresh and tasty. Casual with nice outdoor seating.

Yelp
We came to Cowbell Kitchen for a weekend brunch and walked away feeling full and happy. They use local farmer's market produce, which could explain the slightly higher prices. I ordered a farm bowl and enjoyed it - the falafel itself wasn't particularly flavorful but tasted healthy and paired well with the beet hummus and cashew cream. The avocado toast was loaded and came with a generous amount of toppings but was slightly pricey at $16. Next time I'll opt for one of their seasonal specials instead. Overall, I appreciate their focus on sourcing local ingredients and everything we ordered tasted just as good as it looked -- vibrant, fresh, and healthy. Would return for breakfast or brunch if I'm in Leesburg again.
google avatar

Dan J.

Yelp
If Cowbell Kitchen may seem somewhat pricey for lunch, it's worth it for the quality of the food and its relaxing ambiance. Looking for somewhere we hadn't been, we came for lunch and enjoyed the secluded outside seating on a pleasant summer day. I had the Farm Bowl which had a surprising diversity of textures and interesting flavors. The falafel was moist, tender, and delicious with a pleasantly crispy exterior, and the generous dollops of harissa, relish, cashew cream, and beet hummus contributed vibrant flavors to complement the fresh veggies, field greens, and grains. The bowl seems larger than it looks once you finish it, and it left me fully satisfied. Despite living in Leesburg for 20 years, this was our first time here, one of those "kick yourself for missing it" things. Based on this first visit, I consider it a "hidden gem" in downtown Leesburg. Nestled among some of the abundant, flowering landscaping that fills hidden spaces in town, it didn't seem just steps away from Route 15. We didn't try any of the creative baked goods or gelatos, but they looked enticing enough to warrant a visit just for those. Maybe next time!

Yelp
Definitely a lovely place to visit for coffee and breakfast. My first visit and it was a flutter with people coming to grab takeout and coffee but plenty of places to sit outside near a lovely garden area. My dish was very good but the potatoes were huge and not really for me. First time having vegan sausage made with eggplant and it was really good and I'm not even vegan. Would definitely return for more.
google avatar

Lynndel F.

Yelp
Been here twice in two days. Yippee!! They're nice and knowledgeable about what they have and what's in it. The food is delicious!! And what a cute place. We enjoyed eating outside and they brought our food and drinks to us. I'm going back again with the girls. Really like this place. Several Vegan options.
google avatar

Yelp
Counter-service cafe with an outdoor seating area and a ton of old-time-y hidden rooms on the inside! The menu is pretty straightforward, but they also have a bunch of pastries and coffee drinks as well Food tasted locally sourced/organic, and was solid The downside is the lack of utensils/napkins/waters in the majority of the rooms
google avatar

Marianna F.

Yelp
First time here. They have a curbside spot on busy King Street in Leesburg. I ordered the OG BACON BREAKFAST SAMMIE: EGG, CHEESE, BACON, DUKES, CHOICE OF BISCUIT, CIABATTA, FARM BREAD. The biscuits were sold out! I had this on ciabatta. It was really yummy. Ciabatta was very fresh. The white cheddar (I think) was melted. The bacon was generous and wrapped itself down around the bun. I like the Duke's mayo although usually don't buy it. The eggs were scrambled and a large portion. Almost too big and got cold really fast. I would buy it again and ask for less egg.
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
Service and staff are great. But I had the biscuit with bacon, egg and cheese. Though the portion size is large the biscuit is dry. The egg tasted like it was in the microwave and the cheese was not impressive either. I've had other items that are good but skip this one for breakfast. Also the patio is delightful as well.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this adorable women-owned bakery/cafe in Leesburg! They offer tons of fresh baked goods from cinnamon rolls to scones, cookies, tarts--you name it, in addition to heartier breakfast options and amazing coffee and even brunch cocktails! With a beautiful outdoor patio that's perfect for the warmer weather and indoor seating attached to a cute little bookstore, Cowbell Kitchen is a perfect stop if you are exploring Leesburg for the day like we were! We decided to get some coffees, a blueberry scone and the OG Breakfast Sammie (bacon egg and cheese on a GIANT fresh baked biscuit) and absolutely loved every bite.

Jeff T.

Yelp
A nice little place in downtown Leesburg. The matcha latte was not too sweet, and very tasty. The French toast was on point although I think the breakfast bowl may be a stronger option. This is just a laidback place with friendly vibes. Highly recommended
google avatar

Khanh-Chau M.

Yelp
Pretty good place in terms of food! $16-17 for a grilled cheese which may seem pricey but it's filling and tasty with the cheese, mushroom, pickles. They only have take out boxes FYI. seating is outside and also inside in some areas but it's not entirely straightforward where the other seating inside is. No free water and only canned water so I was parched the entire meal! Overall good place to try out. You get spoons to help the staff find you for your order which is cool.
google avatar

G S.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Definitely a must for foodies or anyone who likes fresh local ingredients that tastes great. Everything I have had has been awesome, but extra shout out to the Burratta Grilled Cheese and the oatmeal cream cookies! The staff is super awesome and friendly, the place makes you feel at home. Extra shout out to Constance, she really pays attention to the customers whether she is in the kitchen or up front at the register. She was back in the kitchen preparing food, when I asked the guy at the register where the tomatoes come from (bc they are literally the best I have ever had in my life) and she yelled out the name of the farm from back in the kitchen. Then at the register the next couple of times, she helped me pick a few things (bc there are so many amazing things the choose from). I really love this place!

Yelp
Tried cowbell kitchen for the first time today and we enjoyed the food and their quaint little rooms indoors. Our kids enjoyed walking through each room and looking at their books and artifacts. My daughter dropped her hot chocolate while leaving and the owner saw and immediately got us a fresh one even though their kitchen was closed. Definitely coming back again.
google avatar

Jana R.

Yelp
Love this place. Always nice people and always good food. There are a ton of vegan options and my family of men eating men even like the food.

Yelena A.

Yelp
Ambiance is farm/vintage, cute outdoor sitting, especially with spring garden booming. Their food seems to be locally sourced, and the service was quick and pleasant. I felt that it was a bit overpriced and would have also appreciated real cutlery and ceramic, not paper, cups for coffee, in particular cappuccino.
google avatar

Jess N.

Yelp
What a cute little spot in downtown Leesburg! We came here on a random morning for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Both of us got the breakfast Sammie and the pancakes to share. I wanted the breakfast bowl that's part of the seasonal special but was told it was available - bummer. Wish they would tell customers the items aren't available instead of letting them the deliciousness and take it away. The biscuit for the breakfast sandwich was DELICIOUS!! Perfectly flaky and buttery - divine. It had a bit too much cheese for my liking so I'll ask for it without next time. The pancakes were out of this world. The apple topping was sooo good!! Perfect balance and topping. Seating in the main building is limited but they have a decent size patio and inside seating directly across. Small and cozy. Would definitely come back for baked goods and to try other items!
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
We loved this cute place! Delicious food, decent smaller menu, fresh baked treats, and fun things to look at. The service was very friendly and efficient. Overall I would come back! If I lived closer the smoothie bowls would be a weekly stop.
google avatar

Mara J.

Yelp
If you don't get the Burrata Grilled Cheese, you will regret it. It tasted like a pasta in a toasted sandwich. The bell peppers, cheese, fresh basil, and tomato sauce combo was phenomena. We ordered so much and there wasn't a single thing we didn't love. We asked the cashier for her recommendations and they were all solid!

Larry H.

Yelp
Great food and service. Prices on the high side. Cute specialty shop with unique dishes and combinations.
google avatar

Akua O.

Yelp
One of the best cafes in Leesburg. Breakfast is amazing and portions are oversized. My favorites are the seasonal breakfast bowl and the OG Sammie on their biscuit. Pick any pastry, they are all amazing. I'm a fan of the buckeyes and pop tarts, both made in house. You can tell everything is made from scratch and focused on well made ingredients and baking, not greasy/fatty/sugary overload.
google avatar

Alex F.

Yelp
Fantastic experience! Food is good. Ambience is better. The high yelp rating nudged us to give this place a try for lunch. They have a very straight forward and diverse menu from a temping cheeseburger to lots of healthy (even vegan options). We opted to split the grilled cheese and the grilled Caesar salad. I've never had a grilled Caesar before and it was delicious. Grilled cheese was solid, would appeal to most palates. Even more than the food, the people working here and the setting made all of the difference. It was impressive to have the kitchen in plain view from the counter where orders are placed. Everyone we encountered was genuinely pleasant and friendly. There were lots of seating options, including a beautiful outdoor patio. Even on a 90+ degree summer day lunch outside was comfortable. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Nida N.

Yelp
The worst bowl I have had in my life and that too fro $17. Sucks! Skip by all means. Although sitting area is pretty good but overly priced and not good food.

Timothy C.

Yelp
Excellent food, but not quite to where its price is justified. The rest of the experience was perfect. great service, multiple dining rooms, some quiet to read in, some larger for conversation.
google avatar

Katie A.

Yelp
Decent food, a little on the pricey side, but what isn't these days. The people at the counter where you place the order were very nice. We got a grilled Romain salad which was very good. We also got a grilled cheese which wasn't that great... Just a piece of cheese and a dry piece of toast. Later we learned there was supposed to be some sort of sauce/condiment, but we didn't get that. That might've helped.
google avatar

Yelp
So I just had brunch to check out this wonderful spot in downtown Leesburg. EVERYONE I had contact with who worked there were so wonderful and kind. They went above and beyond to try to make sure you were happy. Now they are working on opening up indoor seating in the next couple weeks. The patio is adorable but limited plus it's summer and hot! I ate the OG sandwich on ciabatta which was delicious! My only complaint is their menu is too small. I wish there were at least two or three more brunch and lunch options. But hopefully that will improve. They have a variety of pastries and I tried the vanilla pound cake. It is very good and dense. Moist but dense. :p Again it was a great experience and I will definitely go back. I highly recommend stopping by to try if you're in the area.

Yelp
After taking our family Christmas card photo in the area we were in the mood for something special. We saw the reviews and we decided to give Cowbell Kitchen a try. Our first impression of the quaint little cafe was its cute and they had a variety of options from muffins, and French toast to mimosas. The cafe portion of the building where you place your order is very tiny and intimate. There is minimal window bar seating. They do have the option on nice days of sitting outdoors, but for those cooler days Th they provide additional indoor seating across the courtyard. A cute little addition to this house-turned-cafe is another space. Lots of seating options. My only concern that day was the seating and the amount of guests in the room didn't match. It made our visit a bit cramped. As far as the food, we all had French toast, bacon, and eggs. The French toast was light and covered with a delicious apple compote. The service was great! The ladies were kind and welcoming. Since indoor seating could have potentially been an issue that day, I did not get the chance to explore the rest of the building. It mentioned that it had a bookstore upstairs. Anywho, I guess that means we will have to come back again.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
I loved the breakfast bowl and my cappuccino was perfect! I will be returning again soon!

Em B.

Yelp
Always a fun spot for coffee and dessert, but this is a WONDERFUL lunch spot. Arrived a little late (didn't realize lunch ends at 2) and the service and food were excellent! So nice to dine at a place that appreciates their customers! We will be back!
google avatar

Nadine A.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Staff is very friendly. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is homemade. We had the French Toast and Vegetable Quiche.
google avatar

Selka J.

Yelp
The breakfast bowl was delicious. The buckwheat pancakes were little too dry for my taste. The outside seating was very nice. Very hard to find a parking close by though. I would definitely will come back again.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite place in Leesburg for delicious treats and food! Everything about CK is special, from the abundant outdoor seating, to the wine/ice cream ordering window, the food and ambiance are delightful. They use locally sourced ingredients, and partner with local farms for many of their items. The food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!

Jayne A.

Yelp
Cowbell kitchen is awesome I highly recommend this establishment!! The breakfast all day french toast is incredible!! Iced latte is delish!!!!

Deb G.

Yelp
Very charming colonial location. You feel like you are in someone's home )which it was long ago). You seat yourself and scan a qr to order and the server knows what table to bring food to. Decent selection of brunch food. The grilled chicken sandwich was good. It's a little pricey for what they offer but decent quality and great ambiance.
