The Best Restaurants to Try in Del Mar, California | Eater San Diego

"Enveloped in a large overarching tree, the front door to Coya Peruvian Secret is almost hidden away. The kitchen specializes in fusion and contemporary Peruvian cuisine, like ceviche and empanadas. Popular entrees include specialties like lomo saltado, octopus, spinach ravioli, and pork belly. Pair meals here with a sangria, Peruvian beer, and the recommended chicha morada, an Andean drink made from purple corn, fruits, and spices. Don’t skip on the quatres leches cake, a variation of the tres leches dessert with an added fourth layer of creamy coconut milk." - Helen I. Hwang

Google
4.5 stars. I have tried 3 Peruvian restaurants in North county (Qero, Manka, Coya) and this is the best. Their food is top notch. Their service and the overall ambiance needs some work. The restaurant is described as a quaint vintage cottage with vines running all over. At night, with the lights, it looks cute. But honestly, with the exception of the two tables right underneath the vines, the rest of the seating is just a mix and match of tables and chairs. There are a few tables that extend outside the restaurant patio area and it feels like you are sitting on the pavement rather in the restaurant. We almost got seated on one of those tables and requested to be moved to community high top table instead. If you are a party of 2, my recommendation would be to choose the tables right underneath the vine near the window. The service was a little underwhelming. Our server came to our table pretty quickly to take our order but after that, she disappeared for a while and we had to wait quite a while to flag her down for dessert, to-go boxes and the check. There were about 3 different servers and the other servers were more prompt with their tables. The menu is selected but hits all the major Peruvian dishes I've previously eaten. We ordered the classic ceviche, the lomo saltado and the half roasted baby chicken. We also got the pisco sour and Cusquena beer. We ended the meal with a quatro leches. The ceviche was excellent. Peruvian ceviche is a little different from the Mexican ones I've had before. The catch of the day was sea bass. The whole plate was tart, fresh and delicious. The yams were a great addition. We enjoyed it thoroughly. The portion was bigger than what we expected too. The lomo saltado was very good, but we would have liked a little more meat and a little less of the potatoes and the tomatoes. The meat was cooked perfectly. I've always found the filet mignon a little chewy but this one was on the medium/well side which we liked. The sauce was excellent. The whole plate was very filling but we'd have liked slightly more protein than the starch. The half roasted baby chicken was the star of the night. The chicken was cooked very well. The bed of rice, salsa and the aioli elevated the plate. We thoroughly enjoyed this plate and definitely recommend getting it. It is large enough that it could be shared by 2 people for sure. The quatro leches was disappointing. The biscuit added as the second layer was too dry and there was a weird raw powdery taste to the whole dessert. It got slightly better when you took a bit of all the layers together but I think they went overboard with this dessert and it ended up not being the classic that I'm used to. The drinks were good. I liked the pisco sour. It was slightly more eggy than I'd like but still good. The beer was interesting and my husband found it decent. The whole meal cost us about $85 without tips. For the quality and quantity we got, it was absolutely worth the price. We will be back here when we want Peruvian food, and will hope for better service and try to book the table under the vines.

Google
Was pleasantly surprised by this small spot at Delmar with the aesthetics & food, found out it was one of the best picked in 2024 ! The crowd and services were amazing, food was delicious & healthy, appropriate portions! Had a perfect friday night! Much recommended!

Google
My family and I from Indiana took a recommendation to try this place out and WOW am I glad we did! Everyone loved their dish. Personally the empanada and lobster ravioli were absolute perfection. This is a must stop!

Google
Tucked away by the Pacific coasts of Del Mar you'll find this restaurant sitting almost non-descript behind a gorgeously shaped Bougainvillea. I'd like to say this, the food is clean, tastes immaculately fresh and is cooked with a skilled and passionate hand. That being said the flavors here are strong. Reservations aren't required but are highly recommended for any weekend dining. During the weekdays you're more than likely to nab a table. Please go and enjoy yourself an evening at Coya, we celebrated a birthday here and everything was so great. The service was friendly and our hostess was so personable. We got the Mixed Ceviche, Macho and Filet, and if we didn't get full we wouldn't have had any to bring home and enjoy later! It's seriously so good. Parking isn't too bad, just find a side street. The price point is Del Mar style, about 100$ for two people if you get an app or drinks with your mains. Would I recommend this place? Any chance I got yes, go try it out!

Google
Amazing spot!! I’m Peruvian and this place was legit awesome! I highly recommend the half roasted baby chicken and either the lúcuma flan or the alfajor; SO GOOD! And of course, you have to try Inca Kola with some ice too. The service was 1000/10

Google
This place never disappoints. Loma Saltado always hits the spot. The drinks are just as amazing. Our server Rodrigo providing the best service and is very attentive. Our drinks were always full and made sure we didn't forget to move our car so we wouldn't get a ticket. Servers are amazing as much as the food is.

Google
Such a lovely experience at Coya Peruvian Secret! Thank you so much to Rodrigo for the helpful recommendation — I had the Chicha Morada drink with the Macho and dark chocolate brownie for dessert. Super delish, highly suggest coming here when you’re in the area! Thank you Rodrigo and team ☀️

Google
My mother in law (who is from Lima Peru) was in town so I brought her here. She gave it her approval. She did say it had an American twist but overall she enjoyed it. It’s a nice introduction to Peruvian cuisine.

Yelp
The food was truly delicious and came in great portions. You can tell that it is made with lots of care the servers are the sweetest people ever they let me charge my phone when it was dead!! The vibe is so fun and the lights are so beautiful!! My family and I love coming to this place the food does not disappoint!!! It is a great representation of Peruvian food which many "Peruvian" restaurants lack. We will definitely keep coming back

Yelp
Most delicious meal we've had in a while. We drive 45 minutes to this location because the service is great and the food is amazing. Server Rodrigo is always willing to answer all our questions. Will be back soon

Yelp
Came into town for some family business and I unfortunately didn't eat anything all day. So...I turned to my trusty Yelp to find something to eat. Peruvian caught my eye and the pictures looked delicious. Plus the great reviews was a plus. We ordered the Lomo Saltado and Chaufa de Mariscos. First time ordering these items (I've had the Peruvian ceviche) The Lomo Saltado was seasoned perfectly and the potatoes were tender. The sauce was delicious. The Chuafa was also delicious. It satisfied my craving for carbs with the added bonus of seafood. The ambiance was perfect for a date night and the patio area was warmed by various heaters. But if you get chilly then bring a light sweater. Julian was super attentive and sweet. Checked on us regularly to make sure things were acceptable and good. I highly recommend this place for a date or if you want good food. Yelp didn't let me down

Yelp
About a year ago when we stumbled upon Coya, it was such a great discovery. The ceviche and chaufa de mariscos made such an impression on our family that we went back a few months after to try it again. We had no luck without a reservation, so we returned recently with a reservation. Maybe our expectations were too high in lingering for the food from about a year ago. This time around, when we tried the chaufa de mariscos and ceviche clasico, it just did not taste as flavorful. The tamales we had as an appetizer were also just falling apart too much and were missing spice/seasoning. We told our waitress we were celebrating a birthday and ordered two desserts. The waitress got wrong who we were celebrating, so it was also not great. Filled out appetite for Coya.

Yelp
This place is a consistent delight. Their service is impeccable and friendly. I love the outdoor seating and the heated lanterns. The Sangria and Chicha Morada are sooo tasty and refreshing. The Yuquitas are fried and salted to perfection. Be sure to try their weekly specials as the Almond Crusted Salmon this week was so flavorful and fresh. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Yelp
CUATROOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! This place is beautiful, it's located in one of the most beautiful places Del Mar, so right off the bat they get cheat points for location alone! But I love the spin on the outside dining only (even if it felt really cold on New Year's Eve) but imagine what it would feel like on the perfect summer night!! Peruvian food is not that always the easiest food to find that is done well and to make an elevated version of it is bold, but Coya does it with class!! It was New Year's Eve and I had a late reservation and the two items I had my eyes set on (pork belly or short rib) were all sold out by the time we got sat, So may review will have a lot of grace being that I couldn't try what I wanted to. 3 things stood out and one blew my mind straight on to the Del Mar train tracks! Number 1: the Homemade Empanada (so good make you want to slap yo Epa-MaMa) I mean it was good like really really good I have had many empanadas and people don't always get it right some make the breading too soggy or not flakey, but Coya nailed it... Number 2: Chicha Morada!!! This was my first time having this drink, and the way I can describe it is a mix between sangria and Mexican Punche(that hot Mexican holiday cider you get at your primos when they host the pozole) this drink was bomb and it was cold not to sweet not to biter just fire and refreshing! Number 3: CUATROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Leches Cake!!!! What Mexican Mad Scientist put this genius masterpiece inside of a cup!!! Words cannot describe what happened to my mouth when I ate this !!! Spoiler Alert the 4th milk is Coc$&883 Milk!! Look if they got rid of all the food and made this cake they would do better than most restaurants!! We Love Coya Peruvian Secret!! (Sssshhh)

Yelp
My boyfriend decided to surprise me for a birthday dinner date and brought me to Coya. The moody lights, beautiful lanterns and greenery outside makes this restaurant stand out from the others. It's romantic and cozy. Quite frankly it gave me inspiration on how I should design my backyard. Our server was so kind. He had a sincere interest in his guests and made us feel welcomed and taken care of. I wish I caught his name. My boyfriend is from South America so we have been on the hunt for a restaurant that has dishes that taste like home to him. He was sad to learn his favorite dish, ají de gallina wasn't a permanent item so we went with the classics. We ordered lomo saltado, ceviche mixto, macho, and I was graciously gifted a tres leches for my birthday. The lomo saltado was pretty good. It had a lot of onions. Too much for my liking. The sauce was rich and flavorful, the meat was tender. I found it tasted better the next day after the flavors had melded together. 7.5/10 The macho seafood dish came with a generous portion of seafood. We did add a bit of salt when we got home and reheated our leftovers. This was my boyfriend's favorite dish of the night. 7.5/10 The ceviche mixto was amazing! It was bright, very acidic, refreshing and again, a very generous portion of seafood. Your taste buds may start to tingle from the high acidity. But it's so good, I didn't mind. My only complaint is that the yams were hard to cut. I would order this dish again and again. 9/10 The tres leches cake I was given for my birthday was the best tres leches I've ever had. I wanted to lick the cup it came in. It made me question why I never order desserts at restaurants. Without question, I will get this again. 10/10.

Yelp
This Peruvian spot in Del Mar is such a gem. It's a tiny space on the main drag in town. The service is just delightful and the menu has something for everyone. My friend and I dined on a Thursday night without a Resy. We got lucky though as the restaurant was packed and there was just one table available at 6:30pm! We shared the shrimp causa and clasico ceviche. Both super tasty and very pretty on the plate. The roasted baby chicken was a highlight. The herbs were delicious and the rice so yummy. We also shared the Peruvian salad which was the only dish that was a bit underwhelming. The other salads on the menu are probably a better bet. They looked good at other surrounding tables. We were too full for dessert since the portions are enormous. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Im always up for different types of food and thought it'd be a good idea to check this out. I ordered the homemade empanada and the lamb stew. As they called it, the one piece empanada was a Peruvian style hot pocket that came with some leafy greens and sauces. The aioli sauce was a nice creamy addition to the empanada. The empanada contents were a bit dry and was on the smaller size. Thoughts on this appetizer is that customers would more likely appreciate a second piece or if it was made a little larger so that the value received would complement the price point. The lamb stew was very salty. The lamb was soft and was cooked with potatoes, bell peppers, and came with a scoop of rice and garnished with some pickled onions. It wasn't too bad but you definitely needed the rice to soak up the sodium. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The seat cushions were very dirty on both sides and thought that they could consider bringing in the seat cushions and getting them cleaned every so often.

Yelp
Second time here and the experience just keeps getting better as the last one. The service is fast, the ambience is cozy and most of they stay true to their authentic flavor. The food portions are big and flavorful. Fam fave spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little spot. Only outside dinning so it gets a little chilly. The food was okay. We ordered the seafood ceviche and it seems like they didn't have all the ingredients because it literally only had had shrimp and scallops very minimal portion btw. Very good service though.

Yelp
We came to Coya for our family end of the year celebration and we were not disappointed. The service by Rodrigo fast, very polite and he explained everything to detail. The kitchen accommodate the requests of my picky 8 year old. The music was beautiful and the vibe very intimate. This is our third time coming and we will definitely come back to celebrate more times in the future! And yes they speak Spanish!! Yay!!

Yelp
We made a pit stop on our way back home and every bite was amazing! Our server was amazing who guided us with great recommendations. We pairs it with passion fruit lemonade, absolutely amazing

Yelp
Stopped by here for lunch last weekend after wanting fresh seafood in a good location. We were pleasantly surprised by all the street parking available because typically this area does not have much available in terms of parking spots. I believe this restaurant only has outdoor seating and we were able to find a table on the sidewalk. It got cold and the server was kind enough to work with the heat lamp long enough for it to work. We ordered the ceviche Mixo and tamale, which came out after only 15 minutes. Both dishes were fine but were not mind blowing. The ceviche was very acidic and we missed some sweetness and spice. Also some of the yams were very brown. The tamale was filling, but we were also missing some spice and found a hard block of cheese in a small section of it that wasn't very appetizing. Overall great service but If I do come back I'd try other dishes.
google avatar

Tina L.

Yelp
Colorful and delightful decor with plenty of seating inside and out. However, this place boasts that it serves Peruvian street food, but is quite expensive. Despite the pretty plating, everything was overly salted and overcooked. The lomo saltado came with chewy meat, the salmon was dry, and the ceviche doesn't come with chips or anything to eat it with. Also that waitress kept bringing our bill even though we were still eating and the restaurant was empty?
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Where do I begin? The atmosphere is something of a fairytale setting with beautiful flower lamps outdoors- the music was a soothing combination of well known covers redone - we arrived an hour before the opening and the staff welcomed us in and seated us- their menu was very impressive- and then- of course- all the food we had was very tasty- the entire experience was awesome- highly recommend

Yelp
This is a hidden gem of a restaurant in the heart of Del Mar. The food and service are consistently outstanding! Today I had the Ceviche Classico and Lomo Steak. The ceviche was fresh, bright and flavorful as always. The Lomo steak was cooked to perfection and very tender. The service is great too! Julian provided warm and attentive service. I highly recommend Coya for a wonderful dining experience.

Yelp
Mussels are sooooo much better than we expected. The service has been phenomal and our waiter has been extremely attentive.

Yelp
I have been @coya_peruvian_secret multiple times and i still enjoy it as it is my first time, my only peruvian food i go too. So fresh, well cooked and amazingly delicious. located in the heart of Delmar Downtown which adds more enjoyment I loved the vibe and people there are so friendly and generous Thank you @coya_peruvian_secret for serving one of the best peruvian food . Organic Salmon Lomo Saltado Squid Ink Risotto Octopus Ceviche Combo Lucuma Flan Glass Homemade Chicha Morada Homemade Limenades

Yelp
The vibe and service were great especially since there was live guitar in the outdoor patio. We ordered lomo saltado and the braised lamb. The beef in the lomo saltado wasn't very tender or flavorful. The braised lamb was pretty good. At this price point the portion size was a bit underwhelming.
google avatar

Quinn S.

Yelp
First off, I love the ambience and setting of this place. The chairs, the lights; everything is fantastic. Food is good, but a little salty and they tend to overload on vegetables and skimp on protein (I think they gave me a whole onion, which I actually kind of liked). I enjoyed my meal but cost was a tad bit over what I was expecting. Either way, a solid Del Mar restaurant. Service was ok, she def was busy so it's fine though.
google avatar

Eileen T.

Yelp
My first time here and it did not disappoint! Our server, Julian, was amazing! Service was fast and our food came out real quick. I ordered lomo saltado and it was cooked to perfection. Make a reservation because they have limited amount of tables. They're also dog friendly!

Yelp
My daughter and I were visiting the San Diego area over the holidays to be with family. We stayed in downtown Del Mar. It was Christmas Eve and a lot of things were closed so we were trying to figure out a great place to have dinner. A couple of the restaurants were a little too loud rowdy and crowded. Peruvian secret looked so cozy and sweet. We went in and shared a few things like the mussels on the half shell, The quinoa salad, the lamb stew and flan. The service, atmosphere including an acoustic guitarist performing, the food presentation and taste and the overall energy was beyond compare. We will make sure to visit there every time we're in San Diego area and we have recommended it to our relatives who live there and were also visiting from out of town

Yelp
Service was unbelievably fast! And food was unbelievably delicious! Husband and I love trying new cuisines and we decided to go for Peruvian food this time. Made a reservation ahead of time and we were about 10 minutes late so the guy actually called us to check if we were going to be there. Really sweet. Ceviche Classico - This is their classic fish ceviche. There was so many different components to it and OMG everything just went together so well! Mixtures of sweet and tart and tangy and just everything. There was the fish of course, some crunchy Peruvian corn, some other things going on, a sauce on the bottom and then some sweet potato on the side which just brought it all together. Magical. Definitely going to get this again next time! Lomi Saltado - This is a traditional Peruvian dish so we had to try it. Basically strips of beef cooked with some sauce and veggies. I don't know what sauce they use and how they cook this but it was real perfection. Perfection in terms of the flavor and how the beef was cooked. So soft and tender and just wow! Came giant fried potato wedges on the side. Husband and I love to save our cars for the end and this was the perfect end. Crispy potatoes that did not seem really oily at all. Appreciate that. Lucuma Flan - Did my research and I knew that lucuma is something native to Peru so we HAD to get this. I don't think I have had a flan that tastes like this before. It was soft and delicate and perfectly smooth like a normal flan, but there was a slight hint of different flavor that I can't quite describe. I Guess that was the lucuma, haha. It was a good kind of difference though. Overall definitely recommend the place and can't wait to go again.

Crystal T.

Yelp
Great service! I recommend the ceviche and the risotto! The octopus appetizer was amazing as well. Ambiance is great!!

Yelp
Visit was awesome with great service and the Ceviche was delicious! Absolutly recommend this place.

Yelp
HIDDEN GEM in Del Mar Coya Peruvian Secret has the most aesthetically beautiful restaurant! What a vibe!! This is THE place to get authentic Peruvian food in San Diego North County. Their dishes are perfectly cooked with the right balance of flavors/spices and smelled amazing!! So beautifully plated and unbelievably delicious! Every dish we had was spectacular, with amazingly delicious flavors and unique pairings! Peruvian fusion with some coastal South American and Andean ingredients and traditional and modern fusion dishes!!LOVED EVERY BITE!! tried: Octopus Red wine braised octopus, aji panca, spinach oil, roasted potatoes, Kalamata olive tapenade. Very tender with a firm texture. Weekly Special: Cerviche Combo Mahi Mahi, Fried Calamari, Cancha, choclo, leche. So fresh! My son loved the calamari! Pork Belly Spiced dry rosted pork, apples, roasted yams, hollandaise. So juicy, tender and melt in your mouth good!! Squid Ink Risotto Catch of the day, wild caught crab meat, seafood broth, aji pancakes, white wine, seasonal veggies. So flavorful and perfectly cooked! Lucuma Flan Peruvian superfruit lucuma, caramel and berries. Soft, smooth, creamy and delicate! Not overly sweet. Sangria Inka Cola Excellent service from Ezau!! So friendly and attentive! Yelp
First time here with friends, I ordered the Lomo Saltado and it was delicious. I also ordered the Chicha Morada and was yummy! The atmosphere had a great vibe with smooth music playing in the background. It did get pretty crowded towards dinner time but you can still get a seat. Parking was available even during the first day of the races. It's street parking but we came early enough so we were able to park close by. I would definitely come here again.

Alex T.

Yelp
This Peruvian restaurant serves some of the best seafood dishes I've had. The salmon causa is beautifully plated with layers of creamy, savory goodness and a hint of freshness from the avocado and cilantro. The grilled octopus is perfectly tender and flavorful, complemented by crispy potatoes and a vibrant green sauce. The flavors are authentic and bold, making this spot a must-visit for Peruvian cuisine lovers.

Yelp
This restaurant officially tops my list for Peruvian restaurants I've tried. The food tasted absolutely incredible. Every single item we ordered was amazing! I would order each and every item again, and would recommend them to everyone. It's a small, petite, hole in the wall, with great customer services. All the servers have a great attitude and always have smiles on their face! Note: ask them for their fresh bread with a side of their green jalapeno salsa, and just dip the bread in the sauce of the lomo, and thank me later. Definitely a must have in Del Mar!
google avatar

L S.

Yelp
Would recommend this tiny casual restaurant because the dishes we tried were delicious. Recommend making reservations because of the limited tables. Made reservations and received confirmation email stating "you arrive earlier then 5.30pm on weekends we will start you up with FREE Sangria". The hostess seemed befuddled by this and was unsure if this was true. That took us aback. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and he had ordered the short ribs but was told that it was unavailable. It was disappointing. For these 2 reasons, I removed a star. Interested in returning to try their short ribs next time. Hopefully, they would be prepared to have the supply if an item is offered in the menu. Mind you, we were the 2nd customer served. Street parking! Dog-friendly! Thanks Cristal for your great service!

Milena H.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the Peruvian flavor of Aji Amarillo was present in each dish we ordered: the vegan causa, the yuquita, the tamales, the empanada. Service was great and the decor is authentically Peruvian. Thank you!

Yelp
Hidden in plain site. Wanted to go but never knew exactly where it was even though I had passed it's location too many times stop count. The food was good. Different from my other reference point, but all well prepared and tasty. The service was excellent. I would return to try more of the menu.

Yelp
Outdoor seating in a beautiful patio with hanging lamps & heaters. Parking was easy, not too busy. It's a perfect place for a date & families as it's very kid friendly. The food was amazing and would definitely be coming back!

Yelp
The food here is delicious. We had the Macho, Ceviche Mixto, emepanda (beef) and the lomo saltado. This food definitely won't disappoint you. It's very flavorful. I also really enjoyed the service; she was very sweet, attentive and that's really all I need for a great experience. I will definitely be coming back here!

Yelp
I don't remember where we saw this place on social media but we had to try it. We were here early about 4:30pm. It looked like it just opened we were the first ones here. We ordered the ceviche clasico which was very refreshing. It had these corn nut things in it. My bf ordered the Lomo Saltado, it's his favorite at any Peruvian place. This one was definitely delicious. Steak was seasoned well. I ordered the Macho which was a seafood dish. Soo much seafood and very tasty. Everything we ate was seasoned well. We definitely want to come back to try other things.

Yelp
This place a hidden gem of Peruvian food that has great atmosphere and great! We found this place when we were wandering thru Del Mar, and no idea this place existed. The outdoor seating is a lovely effect and the art and style takes you out of your normal element. The service was great and helpful, and they sat us at one of the larger tables. They had a couple happy hour style carafes, and some Peruvian drink cocktail mixed. We settled on a type of Peruvian margarita that had a nice delicious savory kick to it. We started out with an appetizer they recommended, which was a crudo with tuna. Delicious and it had a nice chile style kick with it as well! For dinner main we settled on the steak dish with potatoes rice tomatoes and more. Everything was delicious and the price wasn't expensive at all. Check this place out!

Yelp
First time here, and the food was amazing! I was born and raised in Peru so I'm very picky when it comes to my homeland's cousin. I really recommend this place to anyone that wants to try Peruvian food for the first time or anyone that wants a taste from home. The service was pretty good as well, our waiter was very nice and patient and constantly checking up on us. This is a nice location, definitely hidden but once you discover it you won't regret coming here!
google avatar

Mooyon K.

Yelp
We ordered Lomo Saltado and Mach Seafood. Meat in Lomo Saltado was cold and tough. Macho seafood was also very mediocre. Calamari was so tiny, shrimp was tough, and fish seemed it was frozen even though it says fresh fish on the menu. Fish was very dry and smelled. Service is non-existent. This place is a good example of those social media hypes. If you skip this place, you DO NOT miss anything. Just save some bucks.

Yelp
Cute and fun restaurant! Outdoor dining that's only a few blocks away from the beach! Our server Julian was very friendly and attentive! We ordered the lomo saltado and it was delicious! The dish was very tasty and the meat was very tender. Wish they had the aji verde sauce but other than that it was so yummy!

Yelp
If you need a break from New American / Italian food then you need to try Coya in Del Mar. The ambiance/restaurant had a certain charm to it, great for outdoor dining in the summer. As for the food we ordered the Ceviche Classico, Causa w/ chicken, and Lomo Saltado. Highly recommend ordering the Causa as an appetizer. It had layers of mash potatoes, chicken, and other fillings that made this dish so comforting and delicious. The star of the show for me was the Lomo Saltado. I make a good steak, but this filet mignon in the Peruvian sauce was 10/10. Comes with a nice serving of onions, tomatoes, rice, and fries. (Recommend ordering extra fries) Would I go again? Absolutely!

Yelp
Not being very familiar with Peruvian cuisine, we really enjoyed our meals here but can't attest to its authenticity! The portions are substantial and fresh, leaning heavily on meat and some poultry. My dish had a scrumptious aji amarillo sauce I'd have taken home it was so yummy. Services was friendly and the outdoor street patio is not fancy but comfy. Casual spot worth a try.

Yelp
A very cute and colorful restaurant! We ordered a few different dishes and enjoyed them all. Definitely a fancy twist on traditional Peruvian dishes but tasty. We loved the lomo saltado the best! Service was great too.

Yelp
I LOVE PERUVIAN FOOD I was craving for peruvian food and found this hidden gem in del mar! Coya Peruvian Secret is a cute lil spot with cozy decors and a lovely patio. we had the shrimp causa, chalaca mussels, lomo saltado, and chaufa de marisco. everythins was so fresh and flavorful! my favorite was the chaufa de marisco. it had a lot of seafood and loved the flakey fried rice we also got their homemade chicha sangria and pisco sour. both were delicious! if you are craving for authentic peruvian food, check them out!
