Nope, just Cozy Noodles & Rice, the neighborhood Thai favorite with all sorts of toys and decorations. All the Major Chicago Area Restaurant Closures, Summer 2024 | Eater Chicago

"The longtime suburban Thai stalwart at 1018 Davis Street in Evanston — known for its eclectic collection of memorabilia including vintage lunchboxes, Pez dispensers, and a life‑size Elvis statue — will permanently close at the end of June after more than two decades, with owners citing rising rent costs though they remain interested in reopening in a new location." - Ashok Selvam

We came here thanks to the recommendation of someone who LOVES Cozy Thai! And we are now hooked as well! The vibe/atmosphere is really fun and low-key. The decor is engaging, nostalgic, and made for wonderful dinner conversation with my son! It was fun to swap stories about things he recognized and things that were from my childhood! The staff were fantastic! So kind and continually checking if we needed anything. And the food.... The food was some of the best Thai we have ever eaten (and we are Thai food snobs)! Apologies for not recalling the exact names of everything we ate, but we had the appetizer sampler (everything was delicious), the spicy chicken with vegetables (also delicious), and the salmon with vegetables and rice (very, very good). We also ordered Strawberry Mango and Mango Lemonade mocktails and they were beautiful and tasted divine! We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Had the Dragon Ball, iced Thai coffee and chicken fried rice. Interior is fun and nostalgic, with lots of comic books and toys lining the walls. Service was left to be desired. Waited to be seated for a long time, and did not feel welcomed. Very awkward and confusing. Would not recommend.

It’s ridiculous that the Thai woman server was rude to us. She wasn’t look straight to us and rolled her eyes. When I said I need two bowls, she didn’t reply and brought us the bowl for pudding??? She was offhand with us. And when I put the waste food on table, she said I shouldn’t put the food on table I should put them on the plate??? I said I can put anywhere I want. At the end she said she didn’t mean to be rude because the food would dye the table. But you should bring another bowl for waste! Plate is for food not for waste. I also heard the woman is racist. Well, I guess the minority should not go. Really bad experience

We love Cozy and have been coming to this restaurant for many years. First when it was on Davis and now the new location. The food has so many options and is consistently delicious. In addition they are friendly and welcoming. The new location also has really upscale tableware and decor. Carry out is also another good option!

I've gone to Cozy Noodle since I was a child and it continues to be my absolute favorite Thai food spot in Chicago. The restaurant has just opened at its new location and it's fresh, inviting, and has all of the charm of the previous location. The green curry and pad thai are my absolute favorites, both are incredibly flavorful and bright. And Bee provides such warm, welcoming service, she really makes you feel right at home. I cannot recommend Cozy Noodle enough!

I haven’t been back in Evanston since I graduated college 14 years ago and I didn’t even know how much I missed this Pad Thai!! Best Pad Thai EVER!! We also had the Pad See Ew which was amazing! Such a cute place and I’m so glad they’re still around with a new location 😍

Fantastic & authentic Thai food ! We enjoyed Soup, appetisers like chicken satay & Shumai & Green curry ( spicy) & Massaman curry & were too good but best is yet to come !! Owner recommended us to try Sticky rice & Mangoes ( Thai & not Mexican) !! It was YUMMY ! Will surely visit again… Kudos for full credit !

Please be really careful, the bill they gave you is automatically charged with 20% tip, and if you give 15% based on the bill, you will be ending up charged with a 40% tips! I ended up tipping 40% without being aware of it until I step out of it. The service is definitely not worth such a big amount of tip. I don’t even know whether it is legal to automatically charge you with 20% tip when you insert your credit card! Also the owner is racist. The way she treated white people and non white are totally different. Every white table got a bowl of free shrimp chips but I need to ask for three times to get one for my table. When she gave me mine, she even said:” next time you want it, just order it.” I was almost furious and asked back:” oh? I thought every table got a free bowl of this?” Then she just silenced her mouth and walked away. Such a bad experience, I want to say: STOP BEING RACIST! Especially you yourself is not even white, can’t you relate with people with skin colors? If you feel inferior to white, i am okay with it. Just do not assume everyone else with a skin color is the same.
