Considering that this particular strip mall has been a place where businesses go to die, I was hesitant to try it. I was really craving Thai, and while my other nearby option is good, it is a bit pretentious so I threw caution to the wind. I was pleasantly surprised to find the space immaculately clean, with a warm yet simple decor. Windows face out toward 103rd St. and Watt's Mill and give the modest space a bright, open feel.
I opted for dumplings as a starter on that visit, pot stickers on a follow-up visit. Both were outstanding, aided by the soy based dipping sauce that had just a hint of sweetness to counter the vinegary tang. The chicken egg rolls with sweet & sour sauce were also very good.
I tried the Drunken Noodles and the Pad See Ew during those two visits, the latter accompanied by a pot of very soothing jasmine hot tea. Given the choice of heat for my entrees, I chose medium level, which was spicy enough to not need a splash of Sriracha (my "go to" for extra heat) but also not unpleasantly hot. I opted for chicken and shrimp in both of those noodle dishes, which came out promptly and with decent portions of chicken and plump shrimp. Both dishes were fresh tasting and deliciously seasoned.
I highly recommend this place for the warm, casual atmosphere, the flavorful dishes, and for the attentive staff. I look forward to returning to try some rice dishes and more of that excellent jasmine tea.
