The Best Restaurants for Dungeness Crab in San Francisco and the Bay Area - Eater SF

"Open since 1998, Crab House was purchased by the Simmons family during the pandemic, so it’s now under the same ownership as Fog Harbor and Pier Market. It’s known for the trademarked “Killer Crab,” a 2-pound Dungeness roasted in garlic sauce and served on a skillet." - Becky Duffett, Eater Staff

San Francisco Restaurant Reopenings as Coronavirus Restrictions Lift - Eater SF

"Down at the docks, Crab House Pier 39 reopened for the first time in a year at the end of April. The restaurant’s new owners — the Simmons family, who also own Fog Harbor Fish House and Pier Market — seem to be stacking up quite the crustacean monopoly in the tourist-favorite neighborhood." - Becky Duffett

Classic Foods and Cocktails Invented in the San Francisco Bay Area | Eater SF

"A dish called Crab Leg à Louis appears on a 1908 menu at the classic high-end SF spot The Old Poodle Dog, and in 1910, St. Francis hotel chef Victor Hirtzler had a version on his menu as well. By 1914, the recipe for this mayonnaise-y crab salad would make an appearance in the cookbook A Bohemian Guide to San Francisco Restaurants by Clarence Edwords, the same one that first featured Celery Victor. Around town you’ll still find plenty of versions of this simple, cold shellfish dish made with shrimp, as well as crab, but the old-school versions are at the OG spots like Tadich Grill and Swan Oyster Depot." - Jay C. We had a nice dinner here. We enjoyed every dish we ordered including the crab, mussels and truffle fries. The crab was huge and you can it's fresh. The garlic butter sauce added an extra punch of flavour which we liked a lot. We thought the mussels were a bit on the salty side. Nonetheless, we had a great experience and servers were nice and helpful. I would recommend this place for any crab lovers.

This was one of our stops in San Francisco and it was great. The food was delicious and the view was great. The seafood we ordered was fresh and it came out hot and sizzling! The staff were amazing too. A big shoutout to David L for making the visit one our best while on vacation.

Google
My wife and I visited here on a Monday afternoon. My wife had crab chowder in a sourdough bread bowl served with Caesar Salad and garlic bread. I had crab chowder with garlic noodles and crab. Everything was very delicious. The service was very efficient. Nice comfortable atmosphere.

Google
I have eaten at this amazing place three times in my life. Each time, they do not disappoint. We ordered the skillet sourdough, which we in fact ordered twice cause it was so delicious. The crab chowder, which was tasty, creamy and delightful. My coworker ordered the New York which she complained had too much rosemary, but was cooked perfectly. I also ordered the crab, mussels and shrimp platter which everything was cooked perfectly and rather delicious. My only complaint was the crab could have had more flavorful. All in all, another delightful meal.

Google
I had high expectations for great seafood since we were visiting the area. The food was ok. I ordered mussels and have had better in Ohio. I wanted to be able to give a better meal experience. The crab bisque was bland but did have plenty of crab. Hubby got fish and chips and it was tasty. Was a great experience though and server was great. Also got squid appetizer which had little flavor.

Google
Crab House at Pier 39, to put it bluntly, was so damn good!! From start to finish, our meal was fantastic, and the experience exceeded expectations. We started with a half dozen fresh oysters and crispy calamari—both were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The oysters were easily the best I’ve had across all the places we’ve tried over the last 2 weeks, and the calamari was cooked to perfection with a satisfying crunch. Even the kids’ meals impressed us! The chicken tenders and mac & cheese weren’t just afterthoughts; they were high-quality, delicious, and just as good as everything else on the table. The real star of the meal, though, was the Super Combo. This massive cast-iron skillet was loaded with some of the best seafood (crab, mussels, shrimp) you can get on the pier—every bite was finger-licking good and seasoned to perfection! The flavors were rich, the seafood was perfectly cooked, and it’s easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in San Francisco. To top it off, the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. If you’re craving incredible seafood with an unbeatable waterfront view, Crab House is the place to go.

Google
We were hanging around noticed place is pretty packed. I got some 2 order crabs feast and other fingers foods for sharing. Most of them actually pretty delicious. I do recommend this place.

Google
This is by far the best experience I've ever had dining somewhere, added a cherry on top to my whole trip to San Francisco! There was no wait time. We immediately got sat down. Everything was clean, and it had a wonderful environment, perfect for a place to sit at the end of a long day. The food came out quickly. It was the best crab and calamari I've ever tasted. As for our waiter, he was amazing. Constantly checked up on us and filled us in with little information that was relevant to the experience, well-mannered, and knew how to talk to the customer. To end off this, we had a wonderful view of the water and Golden Gate Bridge!

Yelp
Jose did an amazing job with service! We walked right in and sat at the bar, no wait. Jose got our menus right away and asked us what we want to drink. Made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. Service was 5 stars!!! Food was delish! Get the crab cakes!

Yelp
Came here for dinner during our stay in San Francisco. We're staying by the wharf and wanted to eat by the wharf Looking at the menu, we definitely found what we want. My wife had garlic noodles with crab with a hefty portion. I had the cioppino which is the best I've had in a long time. The cioppino had plenty of shrimp, muscles and crab and fish. We started with the Beat salad, which is also tasty and enough for two. Our server Vanessa was amazing. She was always on top of it very professional, but not too intrusive. Definitely recommend here and would definitely come back. Since it is in Pier 39, it's gonna be typically full for dinner can't be boisterous with lots of people having fun, but it's a great environment and festive place to eat

Yelp
Delicious food! Eight of us started with the fried calamari appetizer and the deluxe mixed grill. The calamari was perfectly seasoned and served crispy, crunchy and tender hot. Very yummy! The deluxe mixed grill came with mussels, shrimp and crabs. Very impressive to look at and very tasty to eat! Lots to eat! I had the shrimp and crabs fettuccine Alfredo and it was wonderfully delicious! The service was spot on and we were always checked in on. The ambiance of the place is energetic and warm. Great place to eat and pass the time away at!

Yelp
Crab House is the only restaurant I'll visit everytime i'm at Pier 39. I've been coming here for years since I was little with my family and love everything about it here. We usually come here on weekdays so there never is a wait but a reservation is always easy to snag online. This crab house is tiny and feels a little cramped but it's also what makes it feel cozy. It's decorated with all sorts of crabs and overlooks the ocean. We came this past Thursday and were so impressed with the amazing service. A year ago our server had offered us water without mentioning it would be a 10$ fee so have not wanted to come back. However, we decided to give it another try and we are so glad we did because this experience was great. Last year we were super upset that she did not disclose that with us as we already ordered multiple drinks. Anyways, this time the host was super friendly and got us in right away. We were then greeted by our server, Jovanna, who made our experience so memorable. We were thinking of doing just crab and shrimp but she suggested we get the combo with crab, shrimp, and mussels which was the perfect portion of us. The garlic sauce they cook it in is perfection too! Bill was about $100 for everything we had which is not bad at all considering it was a whole crab with other seafood. Thank you again Jovanna for the quick and great service!

Yelp
In SF for work and dining by myself. I wanted to sit at the bar but it was very small: like 4 stools. So I sat at a table. Glad I did since it is a great view of the bay! I came in for the Cioppino. Which is rated well on Yelp. The Cioppino seafood was plentiful. The shrimp was flavorful and tender without being overcooked. The broth was rich and on the creamer side. I also ordered a Tito's Martini straight up. They do offer a double I care you are feeling reckless. Since I had to work I stuck with a single. Alexander my server was extremely knowledgeable regarding the menu options. He was very attentive but gave space for me to leisurely enjoy my meal in a relaxing atmosphere. Next time I am in San Francisco, I am looking forward to returning and trying the cast iron skillet shrimp!

Yelp
Went out for dinner with the family and we loved it. I was able to check in through yelp and reserve a table for 8. We were seated within minutes. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The menu had something for everyone and everything was delicious. Definitely get the iron skillet- it comes with a butter sauce. The restaurant is on the second floor of the pier and has the best view.

Yelp
Absolutely great meal!! We came here on our first day in the city. It's a touristy area and kind of a touristy restaurant, but the food is well worth the trek through the crowded pier.

Yelp
Came here with a couple of friends on Sunday since we were craving some seafood. Luckily we made a reservation ahead of time and were seated right away by their amazing staff. We were seated right next to the harbor where the view was phenomenal where we got to dine and look at the wildlife. What we ordered: Appetizers: Truffle fries (5/5), calamari (4.5/5), crab chowder (5/5), garlic noodles (5/5) All the ingredients were super fresh and arrived at our table relatively fast. What stood out to me was the crab chowder since it was my first time trying anything else but traditional clam chowder. This absolutely blew my mind because of how rich and flavorful it was. Entree: Killer combo iron skillet (10/5) This was probably the highlight of the night for us. The skillet came out sizzling hot and the aroma of the dish caught all of our attention. This came with muscles, shrimp, and 2 clusters of crab legs paired with melted butter and Cajun butter. The seafood was super fresh and the crab was easy to break open. Our group loved this entree so much that we were debating to order a 2nd. Overall, this was a great experience for all of us since we don't live in the area. Our server was amazing, she made sure we were all accommodated and checked up on use periodically. Would highly recommend this place if you are really craving some seafood!

Yelp
Definitely make reservations in advance! The wait times were super long, we booked on OpenTable, but they almost gave our table away because it was hard to find the restaurant (2nd floor, middle/back of the pier). Our server was attentive, the food was delicious (it is high end though, but lots of dishes are shareable), and the drinks were so good! Also can't beat the views as it looks out to the side of the pier with the sea lions!

Yelp
My husband woke up to a restaurant reservation reminder Checking out a seafood place with visiting San Fran was on our list of to dos. As a Yelper I read lots of reviews for several places but wanted to try the garlic noodles and shrimp at the Crab House. They did not disappoint. The flavor of the shrimp, however they were sauteed was the star of the show. I would definitely order this again but add extra shrimp !! My husband doesn't eat seafood so he did a plain cheeseburger and fries so that I didn't eat alone. The other star of the visit was for the view of the bay outside the window. We could hear and the seals outside as we ate. It was right at opening so the restaurant was pretty quite and not busy which was nice. The service was quick and the server very attentive. I would recommend checking it out.

Yelp
Good service, good sea food, conveniently located on pier 39 with some cool views of the golden gate and fisherman's wharf.

Yelp
After watching a YouTube episode by Mark Wiens called "Garlic Noodles Dungeness Crab", my husband and I were determined to tryout "Crab House". All what the YouTuber said was true, the Killer Dungeness Crab, Garlic Noodles with Crab was FANTASTIC! Also we shared a Salad, Iron Skillet Combo, Hot buttered garlic bread, Margarita and a non-alcoholic Margarita. We can't say it enough; the Crab House is OFF THE CHAIN! Can't forget....Ms. Maria R. our server. She was more than professional. She was personable. Her spirit was so familiar and God-like. Just a beautiful person to have had served us. And the other employees who also served us including the cooks were wonderful. We tasted the love in our food. The greeter at the door was also a beautiful spirit. Thank you all again.

Yelp
Amazing crab. I had fond memories from eating here 15 years ago and I'm happy to report that the crab is still fantastic. Gino, our server, was friendly and helped guide us through the process of eating whole crabs. I'll definitely be back every time I visit San Francisco.

Yelp
Delicious! It was packed so definitely try to put your name early if you can. Service was great and the views were even better. I loved my expierence here and the lemon pepper crab special was so fresh and flavorful!!

Yelp
Celebrated our anniversary at Crab House at Pier 39. We were seated with a beautiful view of the water. Ordered 2 whole crabs $125, garlic noodles $20 and a bowl of crab chowder $18. The chowder was extremely flavorful but more bread than chowder. The crab was the highlight of our meal, very flavorful (with butter and garlic). We are noodle lovers but we did not finish the garlic noodles. It was overpowered by a LOAD of garlic in EVERY bite!! Very disappointing Our server Elvira was exceptional. She was very attentive, patient and knowledgeable about the menu. She took notice of our reservation note and brought us a complimentary chocolate dessert at the end of our meal. We had a nice lunch!!
google avatar

Cyndee C.

Yelp
Whenever we are in San Francisco, we head over to Pier 39 and head upstairs to Crab House. We try to go early because this place gets crowded! If you're lucky, you'll get a view of the pier and some sea lions. Definitely order the famous Killer Crab. It is our favorite. Be sure to get extra garlic sauce on the side. Our other favorites are the crispy calamari (which is served with pepperoncini), garlic noodles, and garlic truffle fries. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Food 4.5/5 Service 3.5/5 Ambiance 3.5/5 Food. Amazing. NY steak cooked perfectly medium rare with a hard sear. Nice creamy crab on top. The side of veggies should definitely be talked about more. Perfectly roasted and seasoned. The strawberry lemonade had a great balance of sour and sweet. The $8 price for the beverage felt a bit steep but that's what happens in tourist trap restaurants. Service was okay. Again a server who seemed put off that I didn't order alcohol but I ordered an actual beverage and not just water? Not everyone wants to drink all the time! Also seemed a bit pushy and a bit annoyed I also didn't order an appetizer, I'm just one person. I get the more one orders, the more money they spend, and the higher the tip should be. As a single diner who doesn't always get the best of service, this gets old and ruins the fun of being in a tourist environment. Ambiance. I loved sitting at the high top bar area around the fire. Added a nice little touch, but being so close to the actual bar and other tables by the window, I constantly had people running into me, brushing up against my back every few minutes. Made it hard to enjoy my meal because I felt like I was in the way and the but off putting service just kinda ruined the vibes. The food though. I'll continue to rave at the food and would be the reason I'd go back. If I do ever return I'd try sitting somewhere else.

Yelp
Love the service here. Especially Eddie. He made us enjoy the food more and more. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Pier 39 is not a destination I frequent. It had probably been a decade or more since I'd last visited. But my daughter's friend loves crab and so we came here to the Crab House since it's her family's favorite. I was pleasantly surprised! I would skip the cocktails in future but can definitely vouch for the garlic noodles. And if you're wondering if you should get the sizzling platter of seafood, you should.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this place. The staff and food are amazing. You don't have to wait when you arrive for your reservation. Overall this is a place to try. I guarantee you're going to love it.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best seafood spots I've been to in awhile! Everything was perfect, the food, the service, and the views. We got the combo double portion and it was the perfect amount, along with the garlic bread, garlic noodles and kids Mac n cheese. James R. our server was fantastic! We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Hallie P.

Yelp
The food was okay. The crab tasted like chicken to me. The butter sauce saved it. The seafood pasta was just okay also, it lacked flavor. The service was great. Very attentive staff. The fog harbor fish house has better seafood.

Yelp
We came to Crab House after a day at the pier for some lunch. It was a cold and breezy San Fran day. When we arrived, the host asked us how many in our party. I said two adults and a 2 year old. After, I advised them of my party, they responded 5 minutes or less. So we waited inside until they were going to seat us. WELL, the host approached me and she said "you need to wait outside." I told her that I had a baby with me and that it was cold outside. She then began to tell me to wait outside and that she is "sorry." I responded back to her and said you're not sorry. SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT... You want me to stand outside in the freezing cold with my baby and that you're sorry??? The restaurant wasn't busy at the time I arrived. I took it with a grain of salt and stood outside of the restaurant in the freezing cold windy day with my baby because that's how this place wants to operate. Rather then being accommodating, just shove me and my family outside in the cold. I kept my cool and stood outside. few years ago, would've been a difference response from me. Anyways, we got sat down eventually. The service was poor, food was delayed while other tables were getting their food before ours. Our order was incorrect, they tried charging for extra drinks that we didn't order. The whole experience was a failure. I think it was from my encounter in the beginning. I gave this place 5 stars before, because the experience was great. But one wrong encounter just changed my whole entire outlook on this place. Will not be coming back here. NEED TO WORK ON THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!

Yelp
I am a dungeons crab fiend!!! Visiting from Hawaii (my 3rd visit to my most favorite city in the world) and this is our first time at crab house and let me tell you.......it was AMAZING!!!! The ambiance, service and food were all top tier. The seafood was so fresh and all of our food came out so quickly. Definitely will be back!!!!

Walked in about 11:00am and was sat right away. Servers were all great. The views were beautiful and the food was delish.

Yelp
I've been hearing about this place for years and finally went. We ordered one of the specials, lemon pepper crab which was delicious. It was like a seafood boil with a twist. The Garlic noodles with vegetables were delicious as well, super flavorful. The crème brûlée cheese and is a MUST! Our server was super attentive and made great recommendations. The views were amazing. I'll definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Flavor Budz Check- In! The Crab House was on my list of places to eat in San Diego. It's on pier 39, so we did some shopping and sightseeing while we waited. The wait was about 45 minutes, which gave us plenty of time to wander around and take pictures. The restaurant is on the second floor, so if you get a window seat - and we did! - you can see the boats and harbor. It's a great view. Our party of seven enjoyed drinks, appetizers, and entrees for lunch. Maria, our waitress, was great and navigated through our request but things got hectic, and our food came out with uneven food delivery times. My burger in particular was delivered and it wasn't very appealing. My husband's request for a remake to the floor manager, though ultimately fulfilled, was met with a dismissive and unenthusiastic response. The replacement burger was a significant improvement. The overall experience was pleasant, although it wasn't particularly inviting. I can confirm that the food was plentiful, fresh, and flavorful, with a detailed and visually appealing presentation. Given that we dined during the holidays, I will overlook any shortcomings in the overall experience.

Yelp
Although crab is an iconic dish in SF, there aren't many restaurants that focus extensively on it. Crab House is one of the few exceptions, offering a variety of crab dishes like crab pasta, whole crab, crab rolls, etc. Crab House is located at Pier 39, one of the most touristy spots in San Francisco, which might not be the most promising at first. However I've visited Crab House many times, and it's a place I enjoy bringing friends who are visiting the city to try Dungeness crab. The dish I always recommend, and almost always order myself, is the Killer Combo. It's served sizzling on an iron skillet with half or full crab, shrimp, mussels, and a delicious garlic butter sauce. I also tried their Crab Feast once, which is also served on a sizzling iron skillet and consists only of cracked crab legs. It's a great choice if your group loves crab. If you're looking for a good spot to try Dungeness crab, this is a solid choice.

Yelp
Had the crabcakes and the garlic noodles with crab. Absolutely delicious! The food came out pretty quick but would have loved if the the noodles came out steaming hot like I saw other orders that came out smoking. Restaurant was quaint and had a great view of the marina. Tables were close and you could hear everything. I had food leftover which was even better the next day when heated up!

Yelp
Happy to write about this place. Gino was our server. He was absolutely fantastic. It was our first time at the crab house at pier 39. The ambiance was great, and the food was fantastic. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was nice and friendly. It was definitely worth it. We will be coming back for sure. Thank you Gino for the best service. Carla Lazarini.

Yelp
Great restaurant located in the middle of Pier 39! It's hard to find a reasonably priced establishment in such a touristy area. We went on a Saturday around 6:30pm and there was no wait. The interior is lovely and cozy with harbor views. Service was very friendly and attentive. Crab Mac n Cheese: This is one of their newer items. Generous portion with plenty of crab meat! I added some hot sauce (our waiter generously provided us with 5 different kinds of sauce - the restaurant has their own hot sauce line!). However I prefer my Mac n cheese a bit gooey and this was definitely on the runny side. Tasted good nonetheless. Crab bruschetta: our favorite! Generous portions of crab meat balanced with refreshing tomatoes! We loved it. Crab chowder: I recommend not getting the cup - get the bread bowl instead. Even if you don't plan to eat much of the bread. The price difference is minimal but you get a lot more chowder. We ordered the cup and it was tiny - it was quite literally one measuring cup of chowder! We should've asked about the portions prior to ordering. Nonetheless the chowder was yummy. We saw a lot of families ordering sizzling plates and it looked delicious but we just didn't feel like getting our hands dirty that particular day. Will be back to try the sizzling plates one day!
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
The crab was delicious and we had so much fun digging in to all of the amazing food. The bibs are definitely necessary while you crack open the crabs and peel the shrimp.
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
Amazing seafood, service and views! I've been here a few times and twice on my last trip to SF. Their crab, and shrimp are super tasty and keep me coming back for more! Definitely order one of these dishes when you visit. The garlic noodles and garlic bread were also good options. Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Jovana was great! She gave us some good recommendations, like the garlic pasta and the italian soda.

Yelp
5/5 service 5/5 ambiance 4/5 food Tbh I lower expectations when in very touristy areas (and I'm a local playing tourist) so I was pleasantly surprised that the seafood here was cooked well and tastes fresh. You have to get their sizzling plate. Just a note if you planning on getting the plate for 2, when they say it's for 2 smaller people, I would only agree if that's the only thing you're getting. If you order starters, it's going to be a lot of food.
google avatar

Yelp
If you love crab this the spot for you. I got the a bread bowl crab chowder, very delicious but very little soup. Too much bread left in. Also, calamari and seafood cioppino was delicious

Tulisa T.

Yelp
crab roll: 10/10 clam chowder: 8/10 fettuccine: 9/10 overall, service was excellent and the food is delicious. our server was amazing and attended us when needed. it was very busy and crowded but she stayed calm and was very kind. the place is large and a little noisy because there are many people but the view by the window looks amazing. i highly recommend this place. would definitely come back again.

Yelp
Restaurant located on the 2nd floor of pier 39. Had great views of the bay, service was attentive and fairly quick. Food was on the pricer side, most likely due to its touristy location but tastes pretty good. I do not often have the opportunity to eat seafood cooked American style so this was a interesting experience for me. My favorite moment is when the super combo came out. It was on a sizzling platter and they drizzle white wine on top in front of you. The steam that arose was so fragrant and mouth watering! The crab was buttery and well seasoned, the shrimp was peeled and succulent and the mussels were not rubbery. The platter has enough food for 1 to 2 people.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! This is a gem of restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf. Amazing very reasonably priced crab. Easy to eat and very flavorful. Large portions. Nice servers.
google avatar

Sin-Yaw W.

Yelp
Of course this won't be cheap. It's actually surprisingly not gouging as a tourist's trap. The foods were rustic and messy and satisfying. Services were quite good, particularly Maria. Additional bonus that the view was marvelous. It's worth the little effort looking for its entrance on the 2nd level. The platter was on a sizzling plate and you are supposed to dive in with your hands. Ingredients (crabs, shrimp, mussels) were excellent. Few mussels were on the borderline, but still quite good. The seasoning was on the heavy side and beers (Crab House Lager) excellent. If you are in Pier39, it's worth a consideration. To the management: I wouldn't have considered this place without your TV ads and Yelp scores. They worked.

Christian R.

Yelp
A true San Francisco Pier experience! Quaint, little hole-in-the-wall, with beautiful dock-views, and pier-decor. Got here at 6:30pm on a Sunday during 4th of July weekend and our party of 3 got seated in 20 minutes. Jovana was our server and she absolutely rocked, shoutout Jovana! If you want the freshest, straight-from-the-bay crab, mussels, and shrimp, get the double combo sizzling iron skillet! So bomb! Definitely come check the place out!

Yelp
We came on a weekend and joined the waitlist which was about 20 mins on a Saturday afternoon! Not bad considering how busy Pier 39 is. Their restaurant is located upstairs by the way so make sure you don't miss it! Food was great. Service was just good. Only complaint is that our waiter wasn't as attentive but everyone that was helping checked up on us when they could. We were halfway through our meal before we could get some bibs and crab crackers, our waiter said she was on a break which is totally okay just wish she would've checked up on us before she left. We needed water desperately and it took forever to get it. But she was nice so we made sure to tip her well! For food, I'd definitely recommend one of the skillets paired with some sort of pasta (we just got the garlic noodles with no added protein). The oysters weren't anything to rave about, pretty basic and standard. But the skillet though made up for it ten fold. I would come back for that alone! The location and views were stunning. Would recommend for a fun date or outing with friends or family!

Yelp
Crab House at Pier 39 delivers a seafood feast you won't forget. The Iron Skillet steals the show -- juicy crab, tender clams, and mussels cooked to perfection. I also tried the calamari, which was crispy, light, and perfectly seasoned -- a must-order appetizer. The garlic noodles are rich and flavorful, and the pan-fried sourdough in tomato sauce is an absolute must-have that adds a delicious, crispy, tangy twist to the meal. Drinks are spot on, the views of the Bay are stunning, and the service is exceptional -- attentive and friendly from start to finish. For fresh seafood with a killer view and great vibes, Crab House Pier 39 is a top pick.

Yelp
I love fisherman's wharf. I was born and raised in San Francisco. It's always a treasure to visit Pier 39 and the Crab House, service is always stellar. environment is always bustling with people, cracking crab, eating shrimp and pasta enjoying the view outside the window. we ordered the clam chowder with crab salad combo, salmon and Caesar salad combo, the seafood pasta, garlic Parmesan bread, garlic noodle with crab and shrimp were very good and well made and always flavorful. We topped it off with a mock tail and a lemon drop. Can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
Great location. Food was good, we got seated next to a window area and the kids enjoyed the ocean view and seals laying around on the water. We order Dungeness crab, garlic truffle fries, a bottle of wine, and a couple other dishes and it was great. Love the place, our waitress (Maria R.) was superb even participated with the kids and their jelly bean boozled game.
