Google
I drove 30 minutes just to get to Cracked Egged, and it was absolutely worth it. My order came out fast, and the sandwich? Incredible. Honestly, it might be the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had! Perfectly made and full of flavor. The person working today (not sure of his name) was welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. I also really liked the outdoor waiting area near the farmers market. It was a nice, relaxing spot while I waited. Can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be back.

Google
Cracked Eggery is always a solid choice. I love their sandwiches and burritos, but what really keeps me coming back is the crack sauce. I’m not usually a saucy person in the morning, but this sauce is the exception. It is so good that it’s honestly one of the main reasons I order from here. The salsa or sauce that comes with their burrito is also phenomenal. It adds the perfect amount of flavor without overpowering everything else. Between the quality of their food and their standout sauces, Cracked Eggery has definitely earned its spot as one of my favorite breakfast stops.

Google
Cracked Eggery is a fantastic spot, conveniently located just off Connecticut Ave. NW and only a few steps from the Cleveland Park Metro. I’m a creature of habit and always order The Mayor breakfast sandwich, which is basically a bacon, egg, and cheese, but that special sauce they use takes it to the next level. The staff is always quick, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant is consistently clean and tidy, making it a pleasant place to grab a bite. They're open every day from 7 AM to 2 PM, so it's easy to fit in a visit. Highly recommend it for a delicious breakfast or brunch!

Google
came here for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised! I got the loaded tots and found it to be a lot of food for a great price. the bacon is sweet, but nothing that was too distracting to me. they work super fast and the seating is plentiful and clean.

Google
Bring your own water bottle! They have a water refill station. - garlic tots: my favorite out of the three things we ordered. Crispy, good flavors, not too oily. They were perfect. - inigo montoya: a good blend of ingredients. The chorizo patty was good, and cheese, egg, and arugula went well with it. The bun is unfortunately a miss for me. It’s supposed to bring it all together but I found myself eating and feeling slowed down by the density and lack of flavor. It just doesn’t add anything to the sandwich. - Seoul mate: I think it could use more rice (it was just a sheet of rice at the bottom basically), pork belly chunks (or maybe bulgogi even), a second egg, and better quality kimchi. For some reason the sauce they drizzle on was TOO. SWEET. I was confused, like who thinks this tastes good?

Google
I simply asked for a nitro with no ice and Edgar said he couldn’t do it so I had to ask for an extra cup and do it myself. Who sells nitro cold brews and then add ice into it?? But also doesn’t let patrons order it without/less ice? Ever since the challahs changed I’ve been worried about this place…

Google
Don't walk. Run here. This place was awesome. If you go to zoo stop in here. The Inigo Montoya was such a good sandwich. The buns are good the sauce is good. The restaurant has a cool look. Sadly they were out of a lot of tot flavors. Had cool retro looking Gatorade can. Also had the southern one which was also good. Kinda wanted a smaller slice of green tomato. But it still tasted great. One of best egg sandwiches I have had since moving to the area. Definitely recommend before going to the zoo. 3rd time and this place still the best breakfast sandwich I have had in DC. I have tried the animal (Great), Hamilton Porter (Really Good), Paulie Cicero (Good), Southern Charm (Good), Inigo Montoya, (Really Good). Also I prefer the tots loaded with stuff. But everyone else just loves the tots in general.

Google
I'm pretty sure I had the food truck first, but this restaurant has a very creative breakfast menu and I'm a fan. There are so many options and customization for sandwiches. There are also a lot of great versions of the hash browns as well. The staff is great too. Very patient with me when I was trying to get a sandwich without cheese 😂.

Yelp
Excellent egg sandwiches. Got Abe Froman & Southern Charm. Great service & Compass coffee. Good seating inside & outside on sidewalk.

Yelp
I tried the location in Crystal city on a sunny Sunday while everyone was outside. Food tasted good, probably not good for my arteries. The service I was quick and simple. It was outdoors so found some seating.

Yelp
I ordered the Abe Froman which is egg, cheese, sausage on their delicious sauce on a terrific challah bun. I added avocado. Service was pretty fast. Took maybe 5 mins for the sandwich which felt quick. They were super nice. I ended coming back to get sandwiches for my family when they saw a pic of mine. I asked if they could top off my coffee which they said no to. That was a small bummer. Place is nice, clean, well decorated with stylish pics of their egg sandwiches. Good music ("Change is Gonna Come," "I'll Take You There,") played, perhaps a touch too loud for early on a Saturday. Sandwich and coffee was $18. Not outrageous, but a lot more than the greasy spoon near my office downtown.

Yelp
This is a breakfast place serving mostly sandwiches and bowls, with limited seating. But they start removing basic things from the menu, like hot coffee, well before closing time. And the chairs start getting put on tables, kicking up dust - imagine if you had guests over and started the party cleanup while the party was going on! The well-deserved disgust you would get! Especially if you were packing snacks away from the serving table to the freezer, even as new guests were still arriving (as per the hours on your invitation). If your business model depends on the pennies you save from closing while your business is still open, turning off the coffeemaker, etc, you are in dire straits.

Yelp
We came here on a week day and both really enjoyed our food. We didn't know what to expect but ordered a dish with Brussels sprouts and the Rancheros Cucamonga, which we would totally order again. The Rancheros Cucamonga had very fresh tater tots that were crispy and the flavors of the salsa were on point - totally fresh as well as the cheese, avocado, and eggs. Everything about the dish was perfect except that it was pretty heavy. The eggs were over medium but there was some yolk running. But I love that this place has healthy options and also some unhealthier options like the Buffalo chicken and other types of sandwiches. But the staff member was right - everything here seems to be delicious! So glad we were able to try to this place today. You pay first and then pick up your order and there's outdoor seating (4 tables) and indoor seating (about 4 tables as well). Prices are pretty reasonable!

Yelp
Swung by this place before heading to the zoo. Nice easy and quick lunch spot. A lotta different options for egg based .... Sandwiches? Burgers? Whatever they are they're pretty good. The Paulie Cicero's honey flavor compliments the prosciutto and arugula really well. The fried egg gave it the perfect gooey-ness. Probably could've eaten another whole one of these. The basic is exactly what it sounds like. The eggs were light and fluffy and the cheese was delightfully soft from the heat of the eggs. The didn't over sauce the sandwich as well which really helped bring it all together. The garlic truffle parm tots were also good. The only thing is the bottom of the tots boxed was a little oily/greasy but it was tough to complain after 90% of the food was done already.
google avatar

Yelp
With ample seating, an attractive store, incredibly affordable prices for Washington DC, and easy parking, this was a win. The food was pretty good too! I had the Bittersweet Symphony bowl. I could have done without the salt on the arugula, but the egg cook was perfect and the bowl's flavors balanced well. Service in under 10 minutes!

Yelp
Upscale egg sandwich place on Connecticut. Eggs are scrambled thin then folded in a bun with various condiments and additions. Hearty portion. I could have easily been satisfied with half the sandwich. Simple setup. Order at the counter then pick up. Not your standard breakfast fare. Can't get a couple of eggs over easy.

Yelp
I decided to venture off to Cracked Eggery in Cleveland Park on this beautiful Sunday. Parking was kind of tricky but worth it. It is down from the Zoo, right across the street from MoMs grocery. FYI this place does not take cash! Getting to the sandwich. I ordered the Abe Froman with chicken sausage. The sandwich portion is as big as an actual burger. So you share if you are not a big eater. It was quite tasty and flavorful. I ordered a side of garlic parm truffle tots, which was also good and garlicky! The cost was kind of pricey, but I would go back and try other sandwich creations for sure.

Yelp
First time trying cracked eggery, and I'm a fan. If you're debating between the two, Cracked Eggery puts Call Tour Mother to shame; come here for breakfast. Everything I ordered tasted great. I'm fries person and don't usually like tarot tots, but I'll make an exception here. Their loaded tots are wonderful. They're the flat tots so it's perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The honey butter and garlic parm were my favorite. For sandwiches, I prefer the indigo Montoya. I it comes with arugula, pepper jack cheese and a lemon aioli sauce which are ingredients I love. Add some cracked black pepper and it's filling and delicious

Yelp
The Cracked Eggery offers breakfast-esque egg-centric sammies, bowls, different flavored tater tots, sides (such as Pimento Balls), and kid options. We came here to have breakfast, and ordered ahead of the following: +The Mayor - cracked bacon, scrambled egg, American and cheddar cheeses, and Cracked sauce sandwich; served on toasted challah +The Animal - cracked bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, tots, American and cheddar cheeses, and Cracked sauce; served on toasted challah +the Cracked Burger - LaFrieda patties with American and cheddar cheeses, cracked bacon, pickles, onions, ketchup, and Cracked sauce +Garlic Parm Truffle Cracked Tots +Pimento Balls - served with sriracha mayo Overall, the sandwiches were okay - they were definitely on the messier end, with the sauces and the fluffy scrambled eggs. Portions were generous, and the sammies could have been easily split for two individuals. I really liked the Garlic Parm Truffle Cracked Tots - they were well-fried, super crispy, and were definitely heavy-handed with the truffle oil. There's a handful of seating inside, but I recommend in getting the window counter seating. There are also some tables set outside for those who want to dine al fresco. Service was super friendly, and many patrons seem to get their orders to go. Limited restricted street parking is available. +good tots +friendly service +online ordering available +limited street parking

Yelp
Staff was super friendly and courteous. They had a ton of pick up orders but made sure to take care of the customers dining in. Food was amazing. Tasted great. Will definitely come back again.

Yelp
The food here is extremely tasty and inventive. I love many items on the menu, including the Korean bowl (forget the name, something about Seoul?), the lox one, and the parm truffle tots. This is a really great addition to the Cleveland Park neighborhood, though they have other locations too, which I'm happy to see. The only thing that could make this place better is specialty coffee. I'm in Cleveland Park a lot and they could really use a coffee joint, cause no one wants to wait in line with the tourists at the Starbucks across from the zoo. Just something to think about, respected owners of Cracked, if you are reading this. Also thank you so much for bringing your deliciousness to this neighborhood!

Katie C.

Yelp
I came back! and while the food was good, the prices have increased (same St. Elmo's Fire bowl went from $13.20 to $15.70), and the portions are SMALLER! The tots no longer cover the bottom of the container, and I had about 5 pieces of cut up chicken. It's super sad, and makes it harder to support. Hopefully they will start filling their bowls at least to the same amount as before for a price increase. Definitely delicious though.

Yelp
Came here with high expectations -- but the food ended up being just ok. The interior of the place is very whimsical and the staff is great. They're also very efficient as the place was super packed on a Saturday morning. However, the egg sandwiches were just ok... I expected to be blown away but nothing super special here. Got the corned beef & hash + eggs and it wasn't anything I'd remember. What WAS really good (surprisingly) were the tots! They were addictive and they are VERY generous with the portion here. I'd get those for sure.
google avatar

Yelp
We were on the way to the zoo and stopped here for a late breakfast. It was the mayor with a nitro cold brew for my husband and the southern charm with a gatorade for me. Both selections were eggsellent.

Yelp
I am NOT a fan of eggy sandwiches, breakfast or otherwise. But I could eat at Cracked Eggery any day. Today wasn't my first time visiting, but my partner and I ordered some new sammies: The Bubby and Cracked Burger (with egg). We also had an order of tots with honey butter along with our drinks. The Bubby (5/5) is a delicious and hearty alternative to a loaded bagel breakfast. I am a sucker for anything that includes smoked salmon, and every time I eat a bagel, I do it the best way: with cream cheese, red pinions, and capers. To find this all in a sandwich, plus egg, and it still be just as tasty is a wonderful surprise! Ahhhh, comfort. The Cracked Burger (4/5) sandwich is loaded with all your standard burger toppings, but it's the Cracked sauce that really makes it pop. I could have done without the egg, but I also don't think it took away from the flavor (and it did help the burger feel more breakfast-y when I was chomping down on it at 8:30 AM). The tots (5/5) are amazing, mostly because they were super generous with the honey butter. Out of all the tots I've tried at Cracked Eggery, this is my favorite flavor, and it never disappoints. When you're eating a savory sandwich, it's nice to have something sweet to pair it with.

Yelp
I've gotten the Seoul Mate bowl before from this place but this is the first time getting the burger. It definitely hit the spot but I like when the patty's are juicy and tender and the sauce is dripping. This burger was good, don't get me wrong! I just tasted more of the bun than anything. The bun is delicious though - not toobready or anything. Very light. I'd still recommend this place 10/10 times. Update: have since gotten the cracked burger twice and it's great. I don't love that much bacon on my burger but it's still delicious. The staff are also very nice and courteous!

Yelp
I had the Loaded Tots and they were delicious!!! Looking for something different hot and fresh try Cracked Eggery...

Yelp
Came to check out the hype! Loved the indoor decor/ambiance, definitely something you don't see everyday in dc with the wall art and design. THIS IS A VEGETARIAN REVIEW so beware (yes I eat eggs as a vegetarian)!! What we ordered: The Basic, Green Eggs No Ham, Honey Butter Tots! I personally liked The Basic, mainly because of the Cracked Sauce, other than that everything was alright. We really didn't like that each sandwich was served on challah bread, would be better on sourdough and the sandwiches lacked flavor minus the sauces used. The honey butter tots came with the honey butter chunked on top of the tots, as seen in the image. We shook the tots and all was well! Overall, definitely a meat eaters paradise, not sure what other sandwiches would taste good without the meat. It was definitely worth the try, and we may come back when more vegetarian sandwich options become available! Happy to hear a new location opened as well!

Yelp
Unfortunately, the food was extremely salty for me. I've been here twice, and both times, I didn't have the best experience. I've ordered The Abe Froman with a sub of chicken sausage and eggs over easy instead of scrambled with tots and (visit 2) the Loaded tots sub chicken sausage instead of bacon and eggs over easy again. Both times, the eggs were overcooked. The second time everything was so salty... inedible. It all went to the bin and I hate wasting food! The service was great (I wish I got the young lady's name as she was so sweet and patient) the second time, but the first time j felt rushed and welpppp.... :/ Overall, the concept is great! Literally, my go-to breakfast at home, but this wasn't a hit.
google avatar

Barbi B.

Yelp
I ordered online and pickup times were as fast as 15 minutes from ordering, super fast! Street parking outside, didn't take me any time to find a spot. Picking up my online order was so easy, I didn't have to wait in line or talk to anybody. They have a shelf for online orders and mine was there waiting for me. The interior of the store is very clean and stylish, definitely a place where I would hang out and study with my coffee and breakfast. And finally I got the bubby. Their version of a lox egg sandwich. It was slightly overly salty but I didn't really mind, I loved the caper tapenade with everything in it. And the challah bun was delicious! I wish I lived closer, I would come back and try all of the other menu items!
google avatar

Zack B.

Yelp
Literally only a review for the Cleveland Park location (which should be obvious). Anyway, we each got bowls the other day for breakfast. They were super tasty, as were the old bay tots. My only thing is, i'd have liked a second egg.

Yelp
WHY DO THESE BREAKFAST SANDWICHES HAVE TO BE SO GOOD! Okay so yes, not the best lean option but when I'm visiting family in the NW, I always grab one of these on my way out into the District for the day. Favorites: Burger Mayor Animal And while you should never try to eat while driving, definitely NOT the sandwich to attempt such a feat with unless you saved a crab/lobster bib from the night before.

Yelp
Came here for the first time for brunch on a Sunday. Friend and I ordered the Rancheros Cucamonga and the chili tots. Total came out to less than $30. What's Hot - Quality. Pretty delicious. The Ranchoeros Cucamonga had avocado and mashed black beans with their tots. It was delicious and I finished the entire dish. - Menu. Pretty good variety. They have veggie options and a few vegan, as well. I was impressed with their Seoul Mate option, especially since they have pork belly. Their menu is pretty simple and straightforward, which is nice. - Service. Pretty nice. My friend and I asked their staff member if he has any recommendations, which he did, and was certainly helpful. When I asked him about the spice level for the chili tots, he was also honest with me, which I totally appreciated. He helped give me a realistic expectation, haha.... - Price and portions. Given the value for money, it's pretty good, especially given the quality. - Seating. There's indoor and outdoor seating, which is helpful. Their indoor seating is small and doesn't seat more than a group of 4. While my friend and I liked the layout of their indoor seating, it wasn't conducive for conversation, because they play loud music, which isn't helpful. What's Not - Spiciness. Their chili tots are listed as spicy, which they most certainly are not. To be fair, everyone's tolerance is different. Mine is pretty high and I didn't taste any spice. Their seasoning was good, but nothing to write home about. In general, I don't recommend their cracked tots, especially because it's basically tater tots with a drizzle of seasoning you may or may not be able to taste. - Parking. This particular area of DC isn't so bad, because it's not single lanes going in each direction. There is untimed parking certain days and time of the week. However, it may still be hard to find. Another factor to keep in mind is that you can find parking in the nearby neighborhoods, which is what I did. Be prepared to walk in those circumstances. - Sitting outdoors. What's great is that they have an outdoor seating section. What sucks is you need to be prepared for being bitten by bugs when sitting outside. To be fair, this isn't anything the restaurant has any control over. However, it is a factor to keep in consideration when coming here. Just be aware. - Health and safety. None of their staff wore face masks. During this time of the pandemic, I certainly find it reassuring when businesses that interact with the public, take extra precautions. Final Answer Willing to come back here, but not a first choice, especially depending on the day of the week and time of day of when to come here.

Yelp
We ordered: - The Abe Froman (sausage, scrambled egg, American & cheddar, and cracked sauce) - The Bubby (smoked salmon, fried egg, red onions, caper tapenade, cream cheese, everything seasoning) - Paulie Cicero (prosciutto, fried egg, ricotta, sun dried romato, arugula, parmesan, Mike's hot honey) - Southern Charm (fried green tomato, fried egg, cracked bacon, pimeto cheese, arugula, lemon aioli) - Honey Butter and Garlic Parm Truffle tater tots Everything was really good! The sauces were all very different and distinct in each sandwich. I really enjoyed their signature Cracked Sauce. The tater tots were all fried to perfection. If you get the honey butter, a lot of the honey was at the bottom of the container, so make sure to mix it up a bit. Parking was a little difficult, but that's D.C. for you. Seating wasn't too bad--just make sure you have proof of vaccination for dine-in (for D.C.).

Yelp
Starting off as a food truck, Cracked Eggery has a shop in Cleveland Park near all the other restaurants and businesses. Here's why you should stop by: 1) Food: They specialize in egg sandwiches, but the menu gets creative to expand it from breakfast to dinner. A group of friends and I ordered Friday night takeout and each of us loved our meal. They have egg-based sandwiches, burgers with eggs, bowls with eggs and even a kids menu that includes an egg and cheese sandwich. They also brew Compass Coffee. 2) Space: It's set up like a fast casual restaurant with a few tables inside and a few picnic tables outside. 3) Takeout: The whole experience was super easy and our food was ready within 15 minutes from ordering!

Yelp
I've been to the Cleveland Park location 3 times, and every time, the sandwich was excellent and the service was fast. I've tried the Abe Froman (sausage, egg, cheese), Inigo Montoya (chorizo, cheese), Green Eggs No Ham (egg, tomatillo sauce, goat cheese), and the Mayor (bacon, egg, cheese). I really can't pick a favorite; they were al so, so good. The bun was soft but not soggy, their eggs are cooked perfectly (whether scrambled or fried - just be ready for that yolk burst!), and tots are the perfect side (though I haven't been brave enough to try any of their "sweet" flavors). I love being able to put in my order online, take a 20 minute walk from Woodley Park, and breakfast is ready. I hope this place never, ever leaves! There's limited seating inside (maybe 16 total) and four table benches outside. Take it to go and if it's a nice day, sit outside the Cleveland Park library or the tables/chairs near Target.

Yelp
I would have given them a higher rating, but the online ordering is terrible. The fact that you can not remove items you are allergic to from sandwiches is bad. I am limited to what i can order. You can not ask for extra items. You can not even call. That BAD customer service is in a way. If they make these changes, then this would be a much better establishment. From what i can eat, the food is good. I just wish i could try more items when i have to have it delivered, which is a last resort option when i am at work.
google avatar

Kyle C.

Yelp
This is the definition of hangover food. You're going to want to sit down and stuff a napkin in your shirt collar to enjoy this. I got the animal and it was amazing. I like that the sandwiches are not on bagels but a softer roll to kind of keep things together and soak up all of the grease and juices. My wife had The Mayor which was more than she could eat. The Animal was a monstrosity too and I crushed the whole thing on the spot. If Cracked Eggery was closer, I'd be a regular.

Yelp
I NEED THIS PLACE TO BE IN RICHMOND! My friend made a TikTok about this place and the food looked so bomb, I had to try. Let's just say that they UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT. The staff was super friendly, the food was so so so so good, and I really enjoyed myself. I'll be coming here every time I go to DC. Easy. Please come to RVA :)

Yelp
Amazing food and service! This is the first time I've been here and I am glad I stopped by. The food variety was different. There was salads, sandwiches, and bowls. I will definitely come back.

Yelp
No photos because it was take out and I was really hungry. Simply put, top notch and indulgent egg sandwiches that are truly hard to beat. While not your NYC bodega egg sandwich, they serve truly delicious food. Most of their sandwiches are served on a pillowy brioche bun and the eggs are light and fluffy. We tried a bevy of their offerings and we enjoyed them all. The Abe Froman (sausage, egg and cheese with crack sauce) was perfect - savory and a bit tangy from the sauce. The fried green tomato sandwich with pimento cheese was also a hit. We also got a few orders of their flavored tots - cinnamon sugar and honey butter were also tasty. Prices here are a bit high for an egg sandwich but IMHO worth it since they're pretty filling and the quality is excellent. Staff is also super friendly. Most definitely a thumbs up.

Yelp
This place was delicious! We ordered the French toast sticks for my 2 y/o and the were DELICIOUS (so my husband and i ordered more to split ). I ordered the idigo Montoya which was incredible. The chorizo and sauce on it went beautifully. My husband ordered the animal and that was also really good. I guess the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I wasnt a huge fan of their indoor seating, it felt a little cold (atmosphere) to me. But they have 4 full picnic tables outside which looked fun!

Yelp
So glad I've finally got to try this place out. I got the Mayor and honey butter tots. Why have I never thought of that before, I don't know. The sauce on the sandwich was different, but it went together perfectly. I think I'd like to have it on the side to dip. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Yelp
The eggs were cooked beautifully, but I was yoked by a foreign object in my sandwich. I've been wanting to try this spot for a while. I like breakfast foods a lot. I love pancakes, but I'll take a huge bowl of Phở or a few piping hot idli and coconut chutney. But, eggs rank high on my list, so there I was. The food was perfect (before it wasn't). I had the nitro cold brew and it was exceptional. I learned it was local company, Compass Coffee and was very happy. Tater Tots are among my favorite fried potato preparations, so forgive me when I say these are cut into medallions or coins. I'm not mad at them, but at least call them what they are. The truffle garlic-parm flavor is ubiquitous in the fried potato scene. There's were piping hot and was seasoned perfectly. The sandwich was quite special: fried green tomatoes, delicious bacon, pimiento cheese, arugula, lemon aioli, and of course a beautifully cooked over easy egg... all on a butter brioche bun. The flavor combination was excellent, nothing was overpowering, yet everything stood out. The texture and temperature diversity within the sandwich also made it a first-rate breakfast sandwich, worthy of its $13 price tag. It's a messy sandwich. (You've been warned.) When I was about 2/3 through, I noticed something stringy in the middle of my sandwich. It looked like a 4 inch piece of hair, but it wasn't. I waved an employee down and they surmised it was a piece of a glove (?), but assured me it wasn't hair. I was sort of stunned that they didn't apologize first and only did when I stated it was distressing. They offered me free "tater tots" or a beverage. I declined, pointing out that I had both already and they were not the problem. I was kind of stunned by their lack of enthusiasm to redress the issue. Otherwise, the rest of service was pleasant and the restaurant was clean and inviting.

Yelp
Been a fan of Cracked Eggery since the start of their food truck days back in 2019. I'm giving them 5* because I've tried virtually all of their sandwich menu items including their cold brew coffee and have been a repeat customer since. They've maintained their consistency even after the opening of their storefront this summer. All of their ingredients are locally sources including their proteins and breads. The challah bread which they use for all of their burgers, including breakfast burgers, is very, very soft. I am very impressed by the way in which they've integrated American and cheddar cheese with Cracked Sauce for their hot sandwiches. Their Cracked Sauce, which comes on every hot sandwich, is very good. They don't drench the sandwiches in this sauce however the portion is just right so not to drown the other flavors of the sandwich. Mike, one of the owners, seems to be very nice and respectful. It's always good to see owners converse with customers every once in a while and it seems like every time I visit I'm able to chop it up with Mike even for a little bit. Overall a good experience here for breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Give them a try.

Yelp
This was interesting, and I was really pressed to try this place- but it was just ok. My friend said because I went after breakfast, but it was the afternoon so I would call it a late lunch. I honestly didn't like the sauce on the sandwich, and the tater tots were ok. They only had vegan ketchup too which is ewww. But the place is cute, but I don't have to go back.

Yelp
There are some egg sandwiches floating around the city, but Cracked Eggery does it best. A food truck now turned into a solid Brick & Mortar nestled within Cleveland Park, D.C. I usually get their egg sandwich, but to my surprise, I was more impressed by their burger this time around. They use Pat LaFrieda grade burger patties so you can really taste the quality. Along with the special sauce, I'd say they can compete with some of the best burgers in the DMV. Also a special shout out to the tator tots which comes in a variety of flavors and were super addicting. Looking for some crave-worthy breakfast food? Head to Cracked Eggery!

Yelp
I found out about this place because I saw the name by chance and found it hilarious. Then I saw they did dope egg sandwiches with tater tots (intrigued). Then I saw they did dope egg sandwiches with tater tots on toasted challah bread (sign me UP). They were also open early! It didn't take much convincing my brother to come here. The place has the feel of a fast-food place but the charm of a retro-diner (I think I also just like their sense of humor). Their amusingly named menu options aside, the food is pretty darn good. The egg sandwiches are as amazing as they look/sound like. The Animal is a heaping amount of food and the "cracked" special sauce really is special. Mr Brigg's Stuff was a milder sandwich by comparison, but still very well put together with the fried egg, fried onions, and pickles. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on the tots; they tasted great but the dusting settled on the bottom of the box on half of the tots so most of the flavoring was regrettably not on the tots. Tasted good either way though. Easy online order for a quick take-out option. If I lived closer I'd be coming here way more frequently, so I'll have to settle for this as a special treat.

Yelp
Someone with a hangover's dream- carbs, a little bit of grease, cheese, and bacon. It's also quick, easy, and decently priced for the area. I got the garlic Parmesan truffle tots which were amazing but definitely stick around on your breath. It was a large portion, with two of us sharing without finishing. I also got the Mayer, a pretty basic egg sandwich with their signature sauce to give it a kick. I liked the sauce a lot, I just wish there was more on it as I got very few bites with it on there. The wait was quick, and I highly enjoyed the cutesy egg-centric, modern inside. There are 4 picnic tables outside, which I would love to sit at once the weather cools down a bit. All in all, a solid spot which is reflected in their high yelp rating.

Yelp
I'll start by saying, I accidentally online ordered at the wrong location. Instead of making a big deal, the worker was calm and instantly cooked our offered there for me, for free! I was so thankful to him because I was already running late. The hash was so delicious and they subbed egg whites for me which I thoroughly appreciated. Next time I'm DC, I'm having breakfast at the Cracked Eggery!

Yelp
Fun take on eggs you really can't go wrong with breakfast food items. My only complaint is that my bf's meal with the Korean twist was way too saucy and it made everything soggy.

Yelp
My loaded tots are usually pretty good but today the lots tasted a little old or leftover dry. Wasn't to happy.

Yelp
Who doesn't like a nice breakfast sandwich on a Sunday morning? Now, we all know breakfast sandwiches run the gamut from meh to delicious and I say you can't beat the NYC breakfast bagel which is my favorite but...the sandwiches here are right up there. The Mayor and The Animal were our selections along with the garlic parmesan tots. Nice crunchy bacon, eggs cooked well, nice brioche bun, melted cheese...yum. A few suggestions- would love to see a bagel sandwich as that would provide nice crunch to the sandwich. But yeah have to do it right with a good crusty bagel. Also, regular heinz ketchup would be a good option as the vegan stuff they give you just doesn't taste right.

Yelp
Interesting combinations with decent portion size. Service was very friendly and accommodating. There isn't much in the way of ambiance, which from the choice of decor they could have something. But even if they did, it would be a moot point as there is little seating inside or outside. But I will be back for the food not the ambiance.

Yelp
Start your Saturday off right with a breakfast Sammy from the @crackedeggery ! The brioche bun was buttery and delicious, the bacon crisp, the cracked sauce astounding. No better way to get a Saturday started then to eat something that makes you feel good. 10/10. . For more food reviews follow @aburgeradaylen

Yelp
I'd never had a cracked egg before eating here, the southern comfort sandwich with the fried green tomato was to die for. The old bay Tatar tots were AMAZINGLY CRISPY!

Yelp
The food is good but it's quite greasy. Don't go here if you have a cholesterol problem. I've been many times for the tater tots. But today I found a long hair in my sandwich. A long one! When I searched the reviews here, I see someone else had the same experience. They don't answer their phone so I couldn't call after bringing my to-go order home. Oh well. Time to find another spot.
