Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

came to this restaurant on a weekend morning for breakfast. The wait was relatively fast, and we got seated to our table within five minutes of arrival. Once getting to our table, our waitress was Serenity. she was very nice pleasant and professional. we ordered two grandma samplers, one with French toast and over easy eggs, the other scrambled eggs and pancakes. The food was hot and fresh, although it took over 40 minutes for us to receive our meal numerous other couples arrived after us and ordered after us and they received finished and paid for their meal before we even received ours. We feel like we were slightly forgotten about? Serenity was extremely apologetic for the inconvenience, but we generally feel like something went wrong and was miscommunicated throughout the translation of our order. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots, and was quite disappointed in the long turnaround time.

*edit* even though it took awhile, the food was lovely and the staff was very kind❤️ Placed a curbside order and waiting more than half an hour. My order was well over $100. No other curbside orders either. Wasn't even lunchtime. Ridiculous. Sad because I've been a cracker barrel fan since a child. Smh

I think this is one of the best breakfast places around. Fresh and made to order. We've been there several times and typically will eat breakfast there before a full day of excursions. Service over the years has been consistent and very good, even the young servers have been good. I'm so glad that this location did not abandon its original theme and kept to its roots. Don't change a thing because it works. We also have some dinners, and I did enjoy the meatloaf.

Whoa do NOT slow down to stop here Second times in two weeks i stopped. Huge mistake. First time service was horrible and food was good. No review left cause i have better things to do This time..nope gonna let people know They kept taking more and more people and the waitress could not keep up at all . When she finally did come over we ordered right away. Took a while to receive water. We never received biscuits (learned we needed to ask for them to be served prior to the meal. Because of the slow delivery of food we needed to ask for it to go. Fish was cold. Carrots tasted like they were not cooked..hard and had an odd flavor.almost like they were filled with pesticides. Fried okra overdone Hamburger not grilled to well . So so sad that i will keep driving now versus make this a destination on my trips Asked the manager why the slow service he said one cook and people are getting ready for Thanksgiving. Well i was there so i would think you would wnant serve me. Maybe say no to some thanksgiving orders, maybe dont have people sat right a way so the cook could catch up Do NOT stop

We normally love this Cracker Barrel, but recently we went and had an off experience compared to our normal. First off we got there and were told 20 minute wait and had to wait almost an hour to be seated which is not great, if we had been told an hour when we got there we would of left. Then when we finally got called up to the host stand the older lady at the host stand had an extreme attitude and said “ your reservation clearly said for 2 people there’s 3 of you” referring to my child who’s under 1!! Who does not sit at the table in a chair and when I went up to the stand with him earlier to make the reservation they said oh 2 adults and a baby and I said yes. It just overall was extremely weird that she felt the need to be rude. Then said well we can’t seat you because you’re not gonna fit at the table I was going to put you at, even though half the restaurant was empty and I could see plenty of tables open. We told her we would sit at the 2 top and then asked the manager if we could move to a four and he said yes but it was odd that she felt the need to act that way over a baby.

Went to have lunch here yesterday and couldn't decide what to order as there are many choices. I finally decided and waitress ( phenomenal) came back and said they ran out of meatloaf! So it was back to the menu to decide again. I ordered fried chicken strips which were very good. Was able to get two sauces and they were delicious as well! It came with two sides which were yummy! Our waitress was 5 stars! She was very patient and attentive!!

Cracker Barrel offers a charming atmosphere, but our experience was mixed. There was a bit of a wait before our rushed waitress took our order. The pancake tacos were tasty, but the hash brown casserole could have been better prepared, as the Colby cheese flavor was barely noticeable or missing altogether. Overall, the ambiance was pleasant, making it a decent spot for a meal despite some service and food preparation issues.

The steak was ordered medium and it was cooked well done. The fried pickles were good, cheese curds were okay, could have been crispier. The chicken fried chicken was decent, however, our server did not bring the gravy that goes with it. The loaded Mac and cheese was bland. The loaded hash browns were decent but could use some salt. The chicken tenders are very dry. The cord bread is dry. The biscuits are actually pretty good. The place is dirty and none of the employees are friendly. Overall, we will not be back.

Love this place. Stop into a cracker barrel anywhere and you know what you're gonna get. Very consistent and always delicious Always get the hungry country boy breakfast with grits, hash browns casserole and the fried apples. Side of country ham. Can't beat it!

Our service was terrible. The hostess said we had to wait about 35 minutes to be seated (even thought 3/4 of the restaurant was empty.) Once we ordered, we waited over an hour to get our food. Our server never came to refill our drinks. The meatloaf we ordered was good. However, some of the Mac and cheese looked like it had been sitting for a while before they brought it out to us. All of our food in general was warm but definitely not hot. The men's bathroom was disgusting. We also saw other customers yelling at the manager because their food didn't come out in time and they just had to take it home with them. I really hope they didn't have to pay for their whole bill.

was there for breakfast with my wife a week ago yesterday. We just relocated in Menomonee Falls, W. and live 2.2 miles away. We both love CB's and have been to many others throughout the country. My wife has been to this CB a few times and said the food was excellent. Well on this visit the food was brutal. We both ordered the pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon. The pancakes came to us cold and were rock hard. The manager responded quickly and got us each a fresh plate but left the eggs and bacon. So we ate them and then the pancakes after we had finished the eggs and bacon. We both were very disappointed. That being said, we both will give it another try as I said we love CB.

Waited 20 minutes for server, rushed our order, didn't have it, restaurant less than a third full, multiple times this has happened at this location.we left, not paying for bad management and service. No stars at this location.only reason this is open here is the name of the place and no one knows the service

Cracker Barrel is known for serving simple, comfort food in a family-friendly setting. When we arrived, we needed to wait for a table, which didn't make sense because they seemed to have plenty of tables open. (However, the wait wasn't too long.) I ordered a combo that consisted of two proteins and two sides. I went with the breaded chicken breast and meatloaf. I chose the hash brown casserole and green beans for my sides. My sister ordered pot roast with the sides of her choice. The food arrived at a good temperature, but I noticed that the sides cooled down quickly. There were some inedible pieces in my green beans -- probably stems -- but the hash brown casserole was tasty. Both the chicken and meatloaf tasted good. Portions were generous, and we both had leftovers. Our interactions with waitstaff were minimal, but adequate. Overall, I wouldn't have a problem going back again.

We spilled a drink at the table and asked the server (Alexis) for a different section if we could get a towel and napkins to clean it up. She said yeah sure and never brought anything but then went to take orders for THREE other tables that were sat down after she was asked for clean up assistance. She has as of typing this looked directly into my eyes three different times and not once came to assist. Our server (Serenity) was helping someone with a bill issue and then she came to help us and got everything squared away. Yet the hostess kept seating more and more people in only her section like others weren't empty. I hadn't been back here in a long time and well this is settling it that I won't be back again. I could have probably chased down my meal, field dressed it, smoked it, and then prepared a nice home made sauce for it before our meal was partially ready.. Sad thing, we all ordered chicken tenders. And 46 minutes will always be too long for chicken tenders that are LUKEWARM.

My husband and I just had the WORST service we have ever had! We are visiting from California and the server we had had wildly colored hair and as she took our order she was giggling like a school girl and we waited 30 minutes and it was not until I stopped her and asked where our food was and then we had our food in less than a minute. Our food was good, not the hottest but edible. She never refilled our drinks. We will NEVER come back to this cracker barrel!

I was with a party of 5. Some ordered breakfast the rest lunch. The food was warm and tasty. The server did a great job. I enjoyed the cajon shrimp and rice lunch. Nice location just off Hwy Q and Hwy 41.

What a wonderful store with above and beyond staff! The gentleman who checked me out was very helpful and friendly! Store was beautiful and stocked to the gills.

I placed an order for curbside delivery, and I received a test with a link to let the store know I had arrived, which I did. After waiting more than 15 minutes, I finally went into the store to retrieve my order with the only explanation given for the delay being "apparently no one was paying attention in the back". Needless to say, my food was very cold when I got back home. Although in general, I like the food when I have visited Cracker Barrel to dine in, this experience with ordering take-out has left me very disappointed with the service, and I must rethink my desire to patronize the store in the future.

I've had problems with this place for at least a couple of years now. I always get carry out. Calling in to place an order is a nightmare. We are leaving from a place a half hour away--heading home. Cracker Barrel is on the way home. So I call before we start driving away. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes to get the food ordered!! Then, I get there and about 50% of the time my order is wrong. So I started unpacking the entire order at the counter and checking it all. That helped. Cause this place is about 25 minutes from home--no going back if you got the wrong order or didn't get all your stuff. Well, this time, today, same problem with ordering, but I got the order placed and they told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. We got there about 12-15 min later. First, I had to check if my order was ready or not--and there were about 12 people in line. I asked at the hostess desk. They weren't allowed to check--only the ONE cashier was allowed to check for orders. But they went and looked anyway. The one order waiting was not mine. Different name and different food. Ok. After waiting about 25 minutes in the store--I finally begged a server to go back in the kitchen and check. She said she wasn't allowed to do that. But she did anyway. They told her TWICE that it was already up front. All that was there was that other order. Well, she finally opened the bag and looked in the containers and it was MY order! She asked me all the stuff I got and she checked off each item. They had put the wrong receipt on it. So I waited over a half hour for food that was already there. Now it was ice cold. Then, I get home, starving cause I'd been outside all day, with no food and it was late afternoon. I get the food out and wha????? I ordered chicken fried chicken with Sawmill Gravy and mashed potatoes with sawmill gravy. No gravy--on anything. No containers of gravy--NO GRAVY! Dry chicken, and dry mashed potatoes. Not even butter on them! The mashed potatoes were like rubber cement. Hard, cold and like dried glue! Awful. Even with a 1/4 of a stick of butter and cheese on them, they wouldn't moisten of soften. I called to report this and ask for a refund. I explained the whole thing, he took the receipt order number, my name, all of it. I get a call from the General Manager and the only message was "call this person". Seriously??? So described the whole thing again. All he could offer me was a gift card in the mail--for more crappy food! He is sending me a gift card for 2 meals, but I will probably gift it to someone since I don't even want to give this place my business again. I am sick of two years of bad service, rude service, slow service and wrong orders. I don't know how this location stays in business.

Hands down the worst biscuits and gravy I have ever had. I love cracker barrel, but something is wrong with this location.

I took my family there today we got there about 1230,we were seated right away but after 45 minutes of just sitting there without being waited on we had no choice but to leave I think the waitresses ignored us because we are white and they are black the place was not crowed at all and Black people came in after we were there and they got waited on in less than 5 minutes a few other whites also showed up and they too were ignored I tried to get the waitresses attention to come and get our order and they just ignoring us until finally one waitress rolled her eyes at me ,stuck her nose i stuck her nose up in the air and walked off after I told her that if they wasn't going help us we would go else where on the way out I stopped to complain to the cashier/hostess who said nothing in response to my complaint but she gave me a look li I was stupid I went down the road to a different restaurant who informed that they get alot of customers that were treated the same way at cracker barrel

Meh. Food was okay. The dumplings were warm and spot on. Hash brown casserole was pale, cold and not the amazingly delicious casserole we all know and love. Pancakes were okay. Not bad, but not great. Cornbread left a lot to be desired. The cheese curds were so good and I'd definitely get those again. Kinda hit and miss options. It seemed like they were severely understaffed, 2 people to seat and serve the whole restaurant. I felt stressed out for them! I looked at the different tables, most plates had at least 50% of food remaining when people left. Please don't judge Cracker Barrel based on this location. Florida locations are so much better!!

Food is mid. Has no flavor and the cheapest cuts of meat. Steaks were not seasoned or cooked correctly.

Service was fabulous! Great server and kind hostess. The food was horrible. I ordered chicken tenders that must have been microwave heated. They were lukewarm at best and rubbery dry. Another person in our party ordered chicken broccoli and it was gross, too! The cheese was lumpy. We could barely eat our food. Never again.

First time at a Cracker Barrel and we were SO excited but will honestly probably never return after this experience. The service was horrible from start to end. Barely checked in on. The food took OVER an hour and my chicken was COLD the only thing on my plate I ate was the broccoli cheese casserole which I would've happily taken a bowl full of that instead of all I got. The tator tot things fell apart into mush when you tried to eat them. Just not a good experience AT all

My 3y old like this store so we came here for a date night to get some French toast and breakfast. She got a side of French toast since they don't have it on the kids menu, it was pretty good. I got the old timers breakfast and the eggs were cooked well and biscuit was good but the loaded hash browns tasted like they were made during actual breakfast hours and sat under a heat lamp until I ordered them at 6p. Bacon could have been mistaken for dried bark, thin and crispy but dry and was it even bacon or cardboard? Service was slow, but very friendly, but the food came out super fast. It probably took 10 minutes to take our order, after being seated until the waitress came, the food came out in like 5 but didn't have any place settings given to us so had to wait for those...but I'm sure I'll be back, the kids like the store.

Today is July 16th 2023 it's a Sunday but it was around noon ish they seat us at a table that was barely clean. He still had the basket with a tip in it from the last customer, the waiter, took our drinks order. And answered our questions about customizing our order really good, but that was it far as her service we went to when we got our food. We got our appetizers (beignet biscuits) and food at the same time. She never came back to check and see if we were good if we needed drinks refilled my daughter had French toast and she said it tasted like eggs. She didn't want to complain but I did for her. They brought her out some pancakes. My food was cold no flavor. The best part of our meal was the beignet biscuits and the watermelon lemonade

We went back, knowing full well it could be a disaster, because after our last horrible experience we had a fully comped meal from corporate... We were told there was a 30 minute wait despite there being no one else waiting and heaps of empty tables. We waited. Went to get seated and the way they found our table was by looking for literally the only clean and bussed table in the whole place. Sat down for maybe 2 minutes, heard people around us all complaining to eat other about it taking forever, and decided to leave - gave the freebie to a table that seemed the most unhappy and left. The table was adhesive sticky, the menus were deeply soiled, and well...nothing has improved. If anything this place got worse! WORSE! It was 2:00 on a weekday - we thought we avoided any rush but no, those people were still waiting from lunch! The managers don't care. Never waste your time or money here.

After all the mixed reviews I'd figure I'd at least give it a try. I guess with this type of restaurant it's either you love it or hate it. Personally I'd like to see the seating spaces out regardless if we're in the middle of a pandemic Service is rather slow for the breakfast Based on the value for my breakfast plus a tip I'd rather pick another restaurant

Service is slow, sat down waiting for someone to come take our orders (you'll be waiting for a bit) after ordering we still didn't receive any water. Appetizers, rolls,salads come at the same with dinner

As others have stated before me, this is not at all what you expect when you think Cracker Barrel. No napkins, had to ask, no water, also ask. Food took forever to come out-and then it was cold-to the point where I sent my entire meal back and given the experience to that point, did not ask for it to be remade. Spouse also received cold food but was starving so ate it cold. The fireplace ambiance was non existent because there wasn't wood on the fire, just the gas insert on for flame. No hostess to seat you. The waiters clothes were untucked and he couldn't be bothered to pick his feet up when he walked. It was terrible. Seated at table 211 and server was 1633223.

Dinner on a cold night with temperatures below zero turned out as a very cozy one at Cracker Barrel. I have good memories of this place, and coming back after fifteen years (true story!) was not disappointing. You can't go wrong with comfort food, low lights in a lovely atmosphere, and a friendly and efficient staff. My husband and I appreciated the service provided by both our server at the restaurant, and cashier at the gift shop. They were amazing! Highly recommended!

I can't believe this place is still open, it stinks, it's dirty and the food isn't good (my gravy had a skin on top like it had been siting for hours) Feet stuck to the floor, crumbs and dried up pieces of food crusted on the registers around the wall. No one was happy working there. Just a terrible experience. Will never recommend or go back. ( I only gave it one star because I had to in order to post this. Otherwise zero!!

Our server Jodi did a nice job and our customer experience was positive. She was friendly and helped us with the food order. It was very busy due to the Memorial Day holiday. The team got us in and out very nicely.

We've been here many many times primarily for breakfast however. Their breakfast are the bomb! But we were here for lunch. We had a combination of burgers and sandwiches. The burgers came out perfectly cooked and the sandwiches were also excellent. I have to mention the fries... The fries were amazing! Fresh, crispy and seasoned perfectly! The price was medium range. We certainly paid more and we've certainly paid less so it was very mid range. Nonetheless we had a great time with good food and very good service. This is a salad place to get a fair meal at a fair price!

Food was very good with more than enough. Took home enough for lunch the next day. I had the Signature fried chicken. Also ordered the fried cheese bites. Ok but would not order again. Our waitress Aliyah, was stellar. Refilled our drinks and got our order right. Ambiance was the usual for a Sunday afternoon crowd. Now for the negative. We were there at 3:30pm and the restroom was a mess and had not been stocked. Come prepared.

What can I say nasty nasty nasty nasty floor was filthy. Tables were filthy. Food was all over the floor and my food came as if it was a TV dinner. I will never go there again and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Waiter who is more concerned about their other coworkers than my table. Had to ask several times or condiments and so poor.

Stopped at Cracker Barrel today. I have left some reviews that left me wondering if I should stop. Glad I did. They must have new managers. Everything was clean. No one had the 'I don't want to be working' attitude. Ryne was my server. He was super nice. Kept checking if i needed anything else. It was such a pleasure to stop.oh and the food came out fast and hot.

They were so very busy and so short staffed and yet our waitress kept right up with everything and we laughed saying she could use skates! She was right there when we needed her and kept us informed on the progress of our meal. She was so sweet and kind and just made it a very enjoyable late lunch. The chicken was absolutely the best I think I have ever had and was fresh right out of the fryer. Great food and wonderful service.

The food is ok, but the hostesses and cashier experiences are so slow I won't be coming back. Avoid if you're employed. the checkout can take longer than the meal. The cashier commented on every store purchase. When you're in a hurry and the customer five ahead of you are talking about the virtues of Sweet Tarts ad nauseumm you feel like grabbing the barrel and returning the meal

We went there Friday morning for breakfast. It was the most horrible experience I ever had. Mind you I've been going to Cracker Barrel for 25 years. Our breakfast came with a huge platter with two little eggs with hardly any whites two pieces of bacon after waiting 40 minutes just for that then my pancakes came 15 minutes later they were burnt they weren't round they were like if you ever saw burnt cheese in a pan that was the shape of them but they were burnt. Sad to say I will never go there again, unless it's for their gift shop no more breakfast.

A few years ago, I stopped going to this Cracker Barrel, because of poor service and poor quality food. However, I decided to eat dinner there one night about six weeks ago, and I was pleasantly surprised! The food and service were very good. So, a few weeks later, I had dinner there again. Very good food, and very good service. Last evening, I decided to try Cracker Barrel carry out dinners for my wife and I. My wife had breaded fried chicken breast and I had country fried steak. The chicken was excellent and the steak was good. The sides of fried okra, green beans, hash brown casserole, and biscuits were all very good. I would recommend this Crackle Barrel if you like southern style comfort food!

Cracker Barrel has hit a new low with wait time to receive your food while dining in. I placed an order for a simple breakfast. While others' orders, who arrived after me, came out 55 minutes later I still hadn't received my simple breakfast order (one that labeled as order if you're in hurry). When I spoke with the manager she said there were only two cooks. If Cracker Barrel was down cooks, then inform diners that it's going to be a 50 minutes wait for your food or stop taking take out orders until the dining room orders are caught up. Do something other than offer excuses!

Came here due to gift card my niece gave me for my birthday. I figured i would save my $$ for something else. I love CB's food. Checked in and was told wait is 20 minutes. No problem went to restroom to wash hands which was clean. Also looked around at their merchandise. Was called 14 minutes later and sat by host who was nice. Hub & I order the same thing so we were ready as soon as we sat down. Too bad the waitress wasn't. She didn't approach table until 6 minutes later. Her name was Sandy, she was an older lady but seemed ok when she spoke. We placed order and waited for our drinks which did not come to table for another 4 minutes. I saw her refilling other people's cups. She glanced and table and u could tell she forgot. She apologized but they way I operate I started deducting from rating & her tip. After waiting a bit for order to come she realized that the food was taking longer than usual. She came to table and informed me she made a mistake and that the cooks were working on my food and apologized for the mistake. Offered to bring biscuits. I told her the service has been slow from the start for me. She said they are busy. No kidding when are they not? The female manager came to table to ask how everything was going. I informed her and she apologized but did not seem sympathetic, offered no discount or nothing. The server came back to see what the manager said, I told her irrelevant where's my food. She then asked if I still wanted it. ????? So I got up and was about to leave. Have u ever heard rapper Missy Elliot say "remix?" The manager saw me leave and said she wanted to rectify situation. She sat us down in Ericka's section who came within 20 seconds...took order. Drinks came out in a minute, food came out in 5 minutes. I wish I had her section from the start. Ericka was friendly, very attentive. I asked the manager for her name but she never gave it. The staff upfront either don't know her name or gave me the wrong name. She was their district manager. I took a picture of her. She comped the entire meal. Thank u mystery district manager lady.

Absolutely horrible!. I came in and after i said in here to pick up the big guy at the front desk said nope! Not here yet just wait. I ordered pick up and got there 5 mins after the due time and still waited 25+mins after till i got my order. Then my order had uneatable fried foods cause the old grease has been reused so many times and no gravy on anything, no sauces that were also paid for, uneditable beef tips due to being so dry, fries over cooked in the same old grease that taints anything cooked in it, Corn dry and chewy and a 2x4in piece of meatloaf. That location in the falls WI should be closed already if not just for health and food quality issues but also misrepresentations.

Ordered curb side pickup the time I was told was 9:11am I got there early 8:50am signed in from a message that was text to me (5 times). Waited until 9:20am before I tried to call the store the phone rang for five minutes then hung up and tried again I finally talked to someone about my order and it was brought out. The person who brought my food out apologize saying she was was the one who answered the phone and didn't do curb side pickup orders. Well you can guess the rest the food was cold but, on the good side my dog didn't care, me I hate cold eggs.

Cracker Barrel is classic. While it looks like a fancy special place that you want to visit and shop at... it really is more like a local neighborhood family style restaurant. They've been around for years and if there were more of them this should be the type of restaurant I would literally go to every day. The food was great, the service was good, and the staff was friendly. Cracker Barrel is always worth a visit if you're near one.

Nope. Not going here or ordering online ever again. When I place an order to be picked up at 10:30, I expect it to be ready to go at 10:30, not an unreasonable request. They took my money and when I came to the Cracker Barrel,y food was t even done, it wasn't even ready to be made. Sorry, but that's not good enough. If you cannot guarantee a certain time for pickup, don't offer it. It was busy, but that's no excuse for you to not even have my order ready to go. I'm.sorey, but I won't be coming here since you cannot guarantee pick up times, how long do you have to wait for the food to show up at your table? I'm not gonna hang around and find out.

The last time I was at this Cracker Barrel was quite a while ago. Maybe 3 years. Todays experience was abysmal. The building is in need of a good cleaning from the bathrooms to the dining area The gift shop seemed well stocked but I just couldn't wait to get out of there We waited an entire hour and a half for a simple breakfast. There were 6 of us so I get that it's a bit more work but 1.5 hours?!? Our waitress said there was only two cooks...... well if that means that kind of wait just close your freaking doors and try for another day! The food was just ok, Dennys blows the doors off CB. Seriously I will never return

Never go to this location! Honestly I keep giving this place a third and fourth chance but every time it's the same problems. Waited 30 minutes for anyone to come to our table. Very understaffed, unwelcoming and really left us very disappointed. Seriously done. I'll go to a different location that values their customers.

Walked in and was greeted right away, but it wasn't friendly. Got seated, again not friendly. Was told our waitress would be right with us. I watched a waitress visit the table next to us 3 times while no one acknowledged us. No food order, no drink order, nothing. So, after 10 minutes we got up and left. There are plenty of other restaurants.
