Cracker Barrel to Open Second Los Angeles-Area Location in Rialto - Eater LA

"Cracker Barrel remains one of America’s most beloved national chains, a Southern-fried sit down dining experience with roots in places like Tennessee and Mississippi. The company has slowly been expanding west throughout the years though, and now will land a new location in Rialto, California." - Farley Elliott

We made the 2.5-hour drive and let me tell you—it was worth it! The food was flavorful and comforting, especially the chicken fried steak with eggs and hashbrowns—Southern breakfast done right. Service was warm and friendly, and our server made us feel right at home. The gift shop was a fun bonus with a charming mix of candles, toys, sodas, and vintage-style finds. I even left with a cute decorative green bottle! Wish there were more locations closer to home, but this little road trip was a delicious adventure!

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received, which I believe is the worst I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Our steak was prepared incorrectly and we were missing our sides. Despite requesting butter twice, it was not provided. We have been waiting, and our receipt confirms our timeline. We arrived at 7:15, received our food at 8:06, and are currently waiting to settle our check at 8:22, but there is no staff available to process our payment. I would like to contact corporate as this is unacceptable. It is astonishing that three tables received their food before us, despite arriving after us. The lack of teamwork among servers is evident, and we had to visit the host desk three times. The issues here indicate a need for management to intervene and for corporate to be involved. A review of online reviews suggests that this establishment needs to improve its customer service and teamwork. We even offered to pay full price to demonstrate that our dissatisfaction was not about the cost, but about the service. Clearly, this restaurant requires improved management and corporate oversight. Prior to my visit, I wish I had read reviews, as I would have avoided this establishment altogether. For a moment there, I thought we were being punked . It was just unbelievable. If investors or management or even corporate read this message. I highly suggest seeing the video recording . And the woman in the photo below the waitress we had called her three times and she walked away from us every single time it was so odd.

Nothing like my experiences in AZ, so different. I don't think they were prepared for such a rush. Took for ever to sit, to order to get out food. Our soup was cold sent it back. My daughter's chicken and dumplings were watery like a soup. The store was still about the same as Arizona.

‼️WARNING! Dont order FRENCH TOAST‼️ They do NOT know how to cook a simple French toast . And RUDE servers! That dont check on you after their cooks messed up your order, just STARE at you when you're showing them you're under cooked food, walk away without a word then IGNORE YOU the rest if the night, like it's your fault! Smh. I didn't even eat half my meal yet they charged me for the entire meal. Underdone RAW bread French toast is NOT what I ordered yet that's what yall served me. Ok. I had to go to the counter to ask for my ticket and a lady says HERE , so they never had plans on coming back to check on me or give me my ticket, like again, it's my fault yall don't know how to cook an everyday breakfast item. This is the second night in a row I've eaten here but the French toast is NOT cooked right at all. It comes out SOGGY, not crisp, or cooked like toast. It's more like soggy BREAD. I thought last night was a fluke but seems your chefs doe not know how to cook a simple French toast . I only always eat French toast, so please retrain your cooks on how to make a simple French toast, not soggy & underdone plz. The servers weren't the friendliest either whenever I nicely explained and showed them the underdone French toast and under done bacon, I had specifically asked for CRISPY bacon but it was not. Hopefully I can actually eat this meal that's coming back soon, recooked. I'm starved. I really love cracker barrel and come here often so I want to LOVE my dinner like I usually do! Edit-French toast came back RAW & underdone AGAIN! ONE SIDE gets cooked ok then they stop! Wow. Smh. I also asked for a manager and NO ONE ever came! I definitely won't be eating here again. Sad. Also my server Remi, (Only know hrr name cuz its on the table ticket, I have to go ask someone else for my check to leave now!) NEVER came to check on me ever. I had to flag her down to tell her my food wasn't cooked and she wasn't the nicest. She never came back to see. Smh She just spent 3 minutes cleaning the table right next to me but hasn't checked on me?? RUDE. Rudest "customer service" I've experienced in a while! 0/10! 😠😡😤 This CB needs a new manager and a chef that can actually COOK. And FRIENDLY servers! 💯💯💯💯💯💯

Google
I had the French Toast Bake and it was HUGE and so good! The rewards points are called "Pegs" and they accumulate fast and give good rewards. My only complaint was I ordered a pitcher of Strawberry Mimosa at $22 and it wasn't filled even close to the top so it was barely enough to till fill 3 drinks which if my party of 3 had ordered mimosas each at $6 it would've been cheaper.

I was so thrilled to try this restaurant for the first time with a co worker from work . Her first time there as well. Very cute country store . But The Main course of food was over cooked. My grilled chicken tenders charred burned beyond edible. Friends steak over cooked. Ordered medium rare. She couldn’t even cut it with steak knife.

We just love this restaurant and the souvenir store. We drove from Palm Springs 1:15 minutes just for the pancakes! We bought some pancakes boxes to go! We used to go very often to the locations in Vegas! Thank you guys!

Yelp
We make the ride up to the Fontana/ Rialto Resurant every other week. By far this has been the best our waiter Samantha was totally awesome The Twins from West Covina

Yelp
Had a bad experience at this restaurant. They were supposed to text us when our table was ready. It did not happen. Went to the front to find that they gave away our table. We had to wait an additional hour to be seated. Once seated the waitress did her best to provide service. My meal came incomplete. It was a 3 egg breakfast. Came with only two. I would expect the cooks to know the items. Told the waitress that it was wrong she worked quickly to get the rest of my order. Another member ordered the fried chicken only to be told that they would need to wait 15 minutes extra to get their meal. The manager came by to apologize and took all the drinks off of our bill. Wish I had ordered more than water. Lol. They tried but it just wasn't a good experience. Again the waitress worked her butt off. The problem was the hosts and cooks that couldn't get it right.

Yelp
First I need to shout out our server, Jasmine. What a sweetheart. Knowledge about the menu and when I mentioned a am vegetarian, she informed me they have a vegetarian sausage option!! Dave had Mommas pancake breakfast with ham. He said I was good. You get to choose your side so he chose the apples. He loved the pancakes and everything else but was not crazy about the apples. I had the Egg Sandwich and it was very good. You choose how you want your eggs (over medium please) and you choose a side- I chose hash brown casserole. I loved every bite. We will be back!! And I hope we see Jasmine.

Yelp
Fun, windy evening in Rialto to have dinner with my friend. Nice to catch up during the busy holiday season. Remi was very attentive and great. Service was friendly, efficient and quick! Food was delicious. I also ordered some macaroni and cheese to bring home to my oldest. I have plenty leftover for a meal or two! The fried chicken was boneless, which I was kind of bummed about, but the flavor was incredible so I got over it quickly. ;) The meatloaf had great flavor and was a huge portion. I felt the chicken and dumplings needed a little more flavor. Love their gift shop as well! So many fun and cute items!

Yelp
I always heard of Craker Barrel but never even knew there was one in SoCal. So this is my first time going... and mainly my last. I've had horrible service in my time but this was mind boggling unbelievable. Like I seriously thought "is this really happening? This can't be real". Let's start from the top when I arrived. PRO: the esthetic of the place was awesome. Everything looks vintage and nice and I really enjoyed the merch store they had. Now it's about time we get seated. PRO: It looked very busy so I was surprised the wait to get a table wasn't super long. And at first the waitress we had was very sweet and kind but... CON: It sort of seemed this waitress was possibly new because she was slow and forgot ALOT of stuff. Our food in general honestly probably took 30+ minutes. My sister asked for sweet potatoes and it was never on her plate. She asked for a coffee and it never came. I had 1 cup of water and took ablut 20 minutes to get a refill. I really wish customers are allowed to serve themselves. Then our food shows up after 30+ minutes. PRO: I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. To me the food was great and actually was tasty but... CON: When I ordered my Chicken Fried Chicken they asked if gravy on top was OK and I said yes. It shows up with no gravy. I waved down the waitress and asked "wasn't this supposed to come with gravy?" And she responds with "We don't have any more"... ok so I guess dry country friend chicken it is! Lol. Also my sister and brothers had steak and eggs and both hated their steaks, it seemed like it wasn't seasoned. My niece had the chicken tenders and it was burnt. So I guess my dish happened to be the best even with missing gravy. Overall we spent just about over 2 hours here because of the bad service. The waitress kept saying the manager will come by and see us even though that took forever like it seemed like the manager knew everything was crap and didn't want to face customers. There was even customers that Dined and Dashed but now I think I sort of understand why. Horrible service taking forever and food not made well and missing things. Eventually the manager did see us but didn't ask us anything like "what's the problem?", she just mentioned she credited up for some food and that was it. Safe to say I have no need to come back, think I'd rather stick to Dennys or Ihop. What can be done to be better? Better trained staff to be more attentive. If an item is not available then please let customers know for a substitute instead of just bringing the dish with missing ingredients or items completely.

Yelp
Eduardo was our server and he was very attentive. However, the Grandpa's breakfast was disappointing. The menu description states it's a chicken fried steak, but it is really a breaded beef patty. It was tasteless even with the gravy. The ambiance was pretty calm and nice but as we left the 1000 am crowd arrived. The line was out the door and down the entire front on the restaurant. In addition, the females bathroom was dirty and one stall was not in order. Even with the sign, people were still using it. SMH!

Yelp
If you like a hearty breakfast and fun knick knacks, Cracker Barrel is the place to go! We came in this morning and we were seated pretty quickly. On the way in , you pass through their gift shop, which unfortunately causes a bit of traffic getting into the dining room. Our service the rest of the time there was great! I can't remember our servers name, but he did a great job. We ordered the beignets to share, and they were ok. The picture on the menu was a bit misleading, they were a bit on the smaller side. Not really worth the $6. But the rest of the food we ordered was decent. I really appreciate how the eggs are cooked, they always do a good job! Overall, it was a good experience and definitely family friendly for anyone interested. Just be sure to go early, by the time we left there was quite a bit of a wait!

Yelp
Service was excellent. We were a walk in and got seated right away. Restaurant was crazy busy almost full. Large giftshop in the front doing brisk business. Restaurant is heavily themed country with country music playing. Since it was busy we got our drinks and bread 1st. Took awhile for our food. Chicken was spicy and juicy. Green beans and mashed potatoes were good but not piping hot. Fried catfish was lightly breaded and melted in your mouth. We will be going back.

Yelp
192/2024 A very appreciated birthday breakfast treat from my BFF Hedy! Drena gave us a stellar service , very friendly, accomodating and superbly attentive to our needs!!! Place is always inviting upon entering the restaurant with gift shop displayed merchandise!!! Not too busy @7:30 am. Love the fluffy beignets as a starter!! And the morning breakfast with the steak strips ( cubed) was flavorful and deliciously garlic buttered sauce. Side dish of sliced tomatoes plus the baked hashbrown casserole with shredded potatoes was so deliciously seasoned and buttery cheesy!!!

Yelp
Ordered ahead via GrubHub through Yelp, on a Sunday early afternoon, before dinner rush. Yelp predicted pick-up time was about 20 minutes from time placed. Showed up at restaurant 10 minutes after predicted pick-up time. Upon arrival, informed from staff that order was being packed. Waited about her 30 minutes inside the store area. After another 10 minutes, a server finally came out with the order and called for it to be ready. The server then gave attitude asking if it's my order. I showed her receipt and she said I guesssss. took 40 minutes extra to pick up order

Yelp
Love Cracker Barrel. Whenever I'm traveling I always look for one of their restaurants. We don't have one in Orange County. Love their food their menu and southern items. Enjoy shopping in their market as well.

Yelp
First timer here! This place is so cute! When you first walk in, it's like a mini store that sells candles, home cookware, clothes and some jams. We got to our table and they had a little game board there to keep us company while we wait for our food. So the hash brown casserole was filling and flavored! I love they gave us a basket of biscuits, they apple butter was so good! I would def recommend this spot if you are visiting in the IE

Linda C.

Yelp
The curbside service is joke. I arrived at 8:06 to pick up my order. I called the store at 8:22, my order came out at 8:28. When I called and talked to the restaurant manager, all she could say I am sorry. Curbside service deserve the same customer service as advertised. This is not the first time this has happened. Rialto residents. Demand good customer service.

Yelp
Tried Cracker Barrel for the very first time last night & found it to be a very nice experience! The setting of the restaurant gave a cozy cabin house vibe which I thought was very cool. They have a private lot for customers. While making our way towards the restaurant, I saw that there were a number of wooden rocking chairs for guests to wait outside, lol. Upon entry, we were met with an attached gift shop right at the entrance of the restaurant where you'd have to walk through in order to get seated. We got there a little after 6 PM for our family Christmas dinner & to my surprise, we were seated right away. Once we were seated, our server who we unfortunately did not get the name of, made her way over to us right away. She was very attentive & welcoming. She took great care of our party of 6. Truly appreciate her attentiveness as she always came to check on us & brought us refills even without us asking. 5 star service from our server!! As for the food, I ordered the Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken which consists of 2 grilled chicken breasts topped with a maple chipotle glaze, drizzled ranch, bacon, melted cheese, & green onions which I had requested to remove. My dish came with 2 sides, so I chose mashed potatoes & steak fries. There's a selection of different sides you could choose from. Some sides cost additional money as it is considered a premium side, but I stuck with country sides which do not require an additional charge. Personally, I thought my chicken was juicy & flavorful due to the condiments they used to cook with, but I think it was lacking the maple chipotle part in terms of flavor. The sides were ok; Nothing special. Overall, it was still a great experience, so although it is quite the drive from where we live, I wouldn't mind coming here again to try other food options. My favorite had to be the gift shop. There were tons of cute gifts, snacks, & beverages for people of all ages.

Yelp
New favorite breakfast spot!!!! Service was excellent from the moment we walked in. Staff was attentive, friendly and just downright fun. It was such a cold, rainy day so they sat us by a big window to enjoy the view! We were served hot coffee and warm biscuits with butter and blackberry jam right away. So buttery and SO delicious. Hubby ordered the hashbrown casserole and I ordered Grandma's Sampler with a side of sourdough french toast. The food was absolutely excellent. We were SO full and still had plenty of left overs! After enjoying our delicious breakfast, we got to walk around a bit inside their store which is located at the entrance. It was such a great way to wait for the rain to die down. What a lovely experience! We will definitely be back to try more menu options :)

Yelp
Cracker Barrel continues to shine. In a diner landscape filled with cookie cutter joints that have the same menu, decor, and ambiance, CB is an oasis of originality and just plain good eats. Patricia was the best server--attentive, friendly, and quick on her feet. I love getting catfish for breakfast at a diner. I love hashbrown casserole as a massive upgrade over plain hashbrowns. I love double chocolate fudge coca-cola cake as a perfect capper to a perfect meal. I love Cracker Barrel. Period.

Yelp
Jasmine was my waitress and she was amazing. Great service. I wanted the bear in the gift shop she went out of her way to find out how much it was. I will definitely be back and hope she is there. There is another waitress who was there the last time I was there she has black and white or gray braids she is also amazing wish I knew her name.

Yelp
Service was horrible. 45min to get food. I ordered country ham and received baked ham. Waitress came back to the table to inform me that she was not notified that they were out of country ham. So I had scrambled eggs and potatoes and they charged me 13.99. I paid her because I wasn't gonna let her ruin my day exiting the parking lot people just let their dogs poop all over the parking lot. I will never go to this location again. Poorly run.

Liliana E.

Yelp
The food is great, however, the service can be very lackluster. The last two times I've been to this location, the wait staff assigned to our table pretty much disappear to the kitchen and they don't come back until it's time to get the check. We had to flag someone down to get us refills since our waitress was MIA. The tables are also very close to each other so it can feel a bit claustrophobic. Hope they look at our reviews and take into consideration our complaints.

Yelp
Everytime we pass thru the 210 fwy we always say we are going to stop by. We finally did and what a dissappointment. We waited 35 mins to be seated. Which in a way sounded promising. There were so many people there that you would expect the food to be something out of this world. There is no way people would be out here if it weren't good. No shade to the Inland Empire but the taste buds are off. The 2.8 star rating is perhaps too nice. We sat and ordered 2 entrees and 2 appetizers. Our wait time after being seated was 1 hour to get our food. Very rarely were we checked on as I had to flag someone to get me a soda refill. When our entrees came, I politely asked for our appetizers to be cancelled. Waitress apologized and was confused as to why it never came out. Truth be told, I don't think the order was even put in or perhaps sent to the wrong table. Southern fried chicken, side of mac and cheese and upgraded second side to loaded potato - chicken lacked in seasoning. If Cracker Barrel started from Kentucky to Georgia, I expect some flavors. The skin of the loaded potato had more flavor than the entire dish itself. Grandma's sampler french toast breakfast - the french toast were hard which is surprisingly hard to do considering you are dipping bread into egg and milk. To top it off, they didn't provide syrup. We had to flag someone down and by the time the syrup arrived, the dish was cold. 2 bites for $11.99 white cheddar cheese bites - NEVER CAME. loaded hashbrown casserole tots - NEVER CAME. It's wild how packed the place was given the service wasn't the best. Was the waitress nice, of course. She smiled, was courteous, but we didn't get half our food and couldn't enjoy the food that did arrive because it lacked either condiments or flavors. The pace of this place is also extremely slow. Between getting the bill, drinks/refills, and condiments it took 8-10 mins. Normally restaurants have stations throughout where it's a quick grab and go. And to get the complimentary biscuits, it was 30 mins into our wait time. Again not sure if it's the vibe of the restuarant but it's def more a laid back pace, no need to rush. It def felt like a waste of 2 hours. I wouldn't recommend. I probably should have taken the star rating reviews at face value but I really wanted to make my own opinion. The only great thing about this place was the nice rocking chairs where you can sit and wait.

Yelp
I come here almost once a week. The blueberry pancakes are the best of all time. Ms Michelle, Patty and Destiny are sweethearts. I love this place and will continue to make this one of my regular spots
google avatar

Yelp
It seems every time we come here the wait for food takes longer. The servers are accommodating and polite, but the long wait for food is night and day compared to say a year ago. Not sure ai will be coming back

Yelp
When I found out that our Airbnb was 5 mins away from this there was no turning back-- we were definitely eating here before going back to the bay. IDK if it's the pure trash that lives deep inside me, but I will literally never say no to Cracker Barrel. Cracker Barrel gift shop is my home We came by on a Saturday brunch-- omg is this full or what. No wait for a party of 2, but it was PACKED. Service was lovely & super fast. BUTTERMILK BISCUITS: Sooooooo fluffy & light. Ngl if these are pre-made/frozen somewhere, I don't care. They're perfect. With butter. If you like crispy biscuits, seek elsewhere SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN: Big ass pieces of chicken fried to perfection. The skin is so indulgently heavy, while the meat stays tender & juicy. I ate the whole thing on my own, slathered in honey and butter. I have no shame My bf and I inhaled all appetizers right away. If I had to rank, I'd put them: Fried okra, whole kernel corn, fried apples, green beans. So much butter... And free refills for drinks... I don't regret it but my arteries might

Yelp
Ordered the grandma's combo. It sounded like a lot of food so I thought I'd have some to take home. When it came my daughter said it looks like play food it was so small. -Meat was dry -grits sticky -eggs cold Haven't come in a long time and thought we'd give it another try. But have to say it's gotten worse and will not return Two stars for the cute shop attached to restaurant where I bought a nice jacket.

Yelp
We have enjoyed Cracker Barrel in over 10 states around the country and this CA location is no different. You walk into the country store with so many options and cool things to get. Luckily my wife was not with me today or this would have been a three hour lunch date. :) Today I was here with my daughter that recently took a job in the area. We knew quickly that we were going to share the fried chicken dinner with the baked sweet potato and the dumplings. Because I signed up for their rewards I was given a free Barrel Bites. My daughter wanted the white cheddar cheese bites with ranch dressing on the side. Everything was so good starting from the biscuits. We shared the meal and took half of everything home. The service is always great and our waitress today was no different. I wish I could remember her name but lots of phone calls, a conversation with my daughter and all that great food I was ready for a siesta. The one thing I have a concern was that we had two ladies buying items from the country store and we waited in line approx. 25 minutes. I wish someone would have come over and getting those of us that were just here to have lunch and get back to our jobs.

Yelp
Our waitress Brianna made my first time experience that much better!! Stellar service! The thing is, she didn't go above and beyond for us, she naturally and regularly provides stellar service to all her tables. She was also covering the patio tables as another waiters table on top of all that!!! Any delay in the kitchen she made up for with her knowledge of products and ability to offer suggestions recommendations, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed her interactions amongst the other guest, she absolutely deserves all the tips! OMG these biscuits!!! I've never had anything so perfectly delicious!!! Buttery and fluffy, warm and comforting... Damn I'm drooling just thinking about them. Our waitress noticed I loved them so much she hooked us up with plenty more! Extras to take home The fried chicken was, dare I say, the best Southern fried chicken ever!??!! It was very lightly breaded and full of flavor. Perfectly fried and crispy without feeling greasy. The turnip greens are similar to collard greens, but the way they make it here, it's very light in flavor. Likely to cater to the older clientele with certain nutritional needs. BF got their famous grandpa country fried steak with biscuits and gravy. Maybe I'm just not a fan lol but BF thoroughly enjoyed it! It was too rich for my taste.

Yelp
Food was cold Service was awful The server burnt my mother's hand while pouring coffee Manager didn't not want to comp the full meal. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Came out for my first time. Wasn't sure what to expect but best friend said it's the best. It was hands down, THE BEST Great customer service, great food, good pricing. And busy, a bit loud but good ambiance and the air was flowing fresh Patricia V was our server and she was way awesome. Asked how are day was. If we we had plans and recommended dishes! Were from Los Angeles and we'll be back!!! Signed up for rewards and got a free appetizer also!!! The Loaded Casserole Tots = 10/10 Meatloaf Dinner = 10/10

Yelp
We got seated right away but our food didn't come for an hour, service was absolutely terriable! We eat there allot but the last time we went horrible the waiter was terriable. We won't be going there for along time due to bad service.

Yelp
My review. My opinion. IJS....Cracker barrel has theeee best Fried Chicken since my mama cooked. The mash potatoes were season and tastieee. The biscuit with honey was delicious as well. Our server was very attentive to our needs. She did a great job!! The reason I gave 4 stars was because of checkout. It was horrible. The cashier spent 15 mins talking to a customer who maybe she knew, not sure. She act like we were not there. Omgggg it was bad. That won't stop me from getting that chicken. Just had to point it out!! IJS....

Yelp
Third and probably last time here, long drive for nothing. It was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon, the place was pretty loud. We ordered the fried chicken, mac and cheese. Fried chicken was flavorless, honestly nothing special about the seasoning it was just crispy fried chicken, overrated, mac and cheese was okay, mashed potatoes were dry. Hubby ordered the country fried steak, that was dry as well. I had higher expectations on the pancakes by the time we got our servers attention to ask for more butter our pancakes were already hard, cold and dry. Two stars for the cheese balls. Overall, bad experience.

Yelp
My wife & I attempted to eat here on Thanksgiving. The place was equivalent to a sardine can overfilled BEYOND MAXIMUM capacity, which is a fire hazard waiting to happen, according to the Cal Fire Authority Rep I spoke with later. After a 2 HOUR WAIT, we were FINALLY seated at a DIRTY TABLE, with my wife's chair being SOPPING WET, ONLY to be told by an EXTREMELY cantankerous and condescending waitress they were out of menus (?), AND soup (?). And now, there's an EXTRA CHARGE for mash-potatoes (?). With that, we departed, and made our swansong visit to this OVER-RATED choke-&-puke official. Enjoy!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Food took too long to be cold? I think I forgot about bringing my food And maybe left it sitting back there? The only thing that was good was the rolls and butter.

Yelp
I haven't been to this location yet and really enjoyed my experience. I went on a weekday and I was seated pretty quickly. The service was good and the food was great. The dinning area does look rather small compared to other locations I have been to so I imagine the wait times could be long at peak times. I highly recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
Lunch was a victory celebration after winning game at State Cup. Grandson got the Steak and Shrimp and Shrimp was excellent crispy on outside tender inside. Steak appears to be below choice grade as even below medium rare it was quite tough. Cutting across the grain helped some but still a struggle. Service was excellent as always so will return. i'm

I'll start with the service was Amazing! Not the host though lol she might have skipped the snooze because poor girl was falling asleep at 8pm. Now back to the food, it's white like vanilla white. If this food pulled you over it would get away with just a warning. Im not saying the food was bad I'm just saying the taste just, didn't hit the mark.

Yelp
Nothing like a good o' southern breakfast. Had this originally when we lived in GA. Good to have it locally. Food is good and service was even better.

Yelp
Well tonight we decided to take a drive from montclair to eat here.. something different. Well we arrived around 6:15'sh.. no wait. Sat down, wow was it chilly inside. Waitress came and took our beverage order about 6:30.. few minutes later our meal order. She was ver nice.. asked for a basket of biscuits. Got those a few minutes later. Husband and my mom ordered a salad. Waited for that about 15minutes. Then waited and waited for our meals. Noticed others that came in afterwards were getting there meals before us.. and a manager walked by and he asked how our food was and we told him we were still waiting. Few minutes later the Waitress came out with our food finally. My meal was warm and my potatoes were cold hard and unappealing. Husbands sides were so so, fried chicken warm. Waited for her to come around to get my side replaced. Saw the manager and asked told him I was unhappy. He brought out a replacement a few minutes later. Overall food was ok/good. If hotter and quicker service I think the night would of been 5 Might try it again another time.

Yelp
Service. They need to take pride in there work and do a better job at servicing the guest! It all starts with management. So please train them better. It really isn't that hard to bring napkins and service with a smile and touch chairs in so it looks neat after you clean a table

Yelp
Took forever to greet us and take our order, then took forever to get our coffee, great pancakes, slow service, The waitress does everything, they need help! It's freezing inside, so I had to go to the car and get my sweater. We won't the only one's complaining.

Yelp
My kids love Cracker Barrel so I made the drive to take them here. Immediately when we were seated, we were ignored. Baylee was our waitress and she barely payed any attention to us. When you're seated, you expect tableware to be on the table already but we didn't receive it until after our food had arrived so we just had to stare at our plates for 10 minutes til we received silverware. She also gave us the wrong plate that we ordered but already waited so long we were fed up. When another table was seated next to us, her entire attitude changed towards them and was extremely friendly and attentive with them. It was extremely shocking to see her complete switch because we were not treated like that at all. It felt racist because we are a family of color and the couple next to us were white. Do better Baylee, worst experience here ever. Update: Manager resolved issue and handled the situation, thank you cracker barrel for making it better

Yelp
Food was delicious and our server Miguel was great. However the wait time was not the best. Wish there was a location near me in Orange County.

Yelp
Our waiter Sebastian was absolutely wonderful! We are three older women, every servers nightmare, Sebastian was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, kind and did a really excellent job! Our water never went empty. The food arrived very quickly. The food was good but, not great. The general store and it's staff were fantastic! The staff went out of their way to help us. Making sure we had a basket to put all our great finds in. They were friendly, helpful and very courteous!

Yelp
Good and service is terrible!! It took 30 minutes just to get our drinks which was water. We've been waiting now for almost 45 minutes for our food. Getting ready to leave. You need to be a patient person to eat here.

Yelp
The food is delicious! The ambiance is too cute: so much to look at! The service is great, sometimes a little wait. My new favorite restaurant!

Yelp
We are CA natives that discovered Cracker Barrel when we lived in Memphis and it was the restaurant we were so sad to leave behind. We had no idea this location had opened so it was a must when we drove up to Disneyland! Made our reservations online, checked in outside when we arrived and shopped till our name was called. All the staff was super nice, our server was great and checked on us frequently. Food came out in a reasonable time and was delicious! My only comment would be that the bacon was not the usual thick cut, melt in your mouth bacon they're know for which was disappointing as their bacon is my absolute favorite. It was super busy so definitely make your reservation online before you drive over.

Yelp
Tried their signature fried chicken and when I say it's the WORST Fried chicken I've ever had, I'm not lying. No flavor, no crunch, and tasted old like it was made the previous day and reheated. Sides were basic, nothing special. Best thing they had were the biscuits. The first basket was stale, howeve the second basket was hot and fresh. Sad that biscuits were the best part of the meal, being that biscuits cost pennies to make. Waitress never refilled my water, but was friendly; food is still trash. There's a ChickFilA right next to this location, you're better off going there.

Yelp
Been to this Cracker Barrel multiple times and never experienced a bad situation until recently. Our serve never checked in on us after taking our order. Our food arrived late and was cold. Fortunately, Tiffany went out of her way to helped us out and was very attentive of us since our serve never returned to refill our drinks or check in to see how were our meals. Even though Tiffany was not our server, she did a fantastic job with us.

Yelp
Title: Horrific Experience at Cracker Barrel - Prejudice, Poor Service, and Complete Disregard I recently visited Cracker Barrel with my family, hoping for a warm, welcoming meal together. Instead, we were met with one of the most appalling dining experiences I've ever had. We checked in online prior to arriving, where it listed a 10-minute wait. Upon arrival at 11:30 am, we were told we were third in line and it would be about a 20-minute wait. Reasonable enough, we thought. But as the minutes passed -- 20, 30, then 45 minutes -- it became clear that something was amiss. When I approached the counter to ask for an update, I was met with a dismissive response: "We're just clearing off this table, and you'll be seated shortly." We waited patiently. Moments later, we watched that very table -- the one we were supposedly waiting for -- get given to another party. Not just that, but we watched four more parties get seated ahead of us. I approached the hostess again, and this time she called the manager. When I explained the situation, the manager's response was a nonchalant, "Oh, sorry, we didn't communicate that." I asked, "Communicate what? That you weren't going to seat us at all?" She had no response, only silence and indifference. It felt deliberate. As I watched more and more parties walk in and be seated while my family and I were left waiting, it became clear that we were being ignored -- and for what reason? I can't help but feel that some form of prejudice was at play. Otherwise, how do you justify ignoring a party for over 45 minutes while accommodating 12 others? When we were finally seated, I had some hope that the worst was behind us. I was wrong. Our server brought drinks for everyone at the table -- except me. I politely mentioned it, and he assured me he would bring it shortly. He didn't. I had to ask not once but multiple times before I was finally brought a drink. It was as if I was invisible to them. It took over an hour for them to bring our food. It arrived cold as well. This experience was beyond frustrating. The blatant disregard, the dismissiveness, and the lack of any sincere apology from the staff or management were all unacceptable. I have never felt so disrespected at a restaurant. Cracker Barrel has built a reputation on "Southern hospitality," but this experience was the exact opposite. I can confidently say I will never dine at this establishment again. If you value being treated with dignity and respect, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
