"Breweries are putting in extra work luring us in to try their craft brews this week. Stop by Ridgewood restaurant Craft Culture on Saturday for a $40 . You’ll get a flight of five beers from each borough paired with five exclusive beer-infused pastries from Sweetly Brooklyn. Sweetly Brooklyn took the assignment very seriously—you can look forward to Bear-Y Blackberry Sour Lager Shortbread Bars and Love & S'mores Void of Light Imperial Stout Beeramisu. "This small, minimal Ridgewood bar and beer shop has more than 200 cans and bottles available in its fridges at any time, with a focus on lesser-seen options. Craft Culture also has close to two dozen beers on draft and happy hour pricing from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A food menu has takes on bar food, like a jalapeño burger or teriyaki wings." - Eater Staff, Ashwin Rodrigues

Google
Best burgers in Ridgewood and probably in NYC! On top of the reason that they have video games and board games, the music is always dope, and their veggie burger, paired with the truffle fries and a beer is the best way to start a weekend!

Google
Great food that isn't over the top or extravagant. Simple, but extremely well done. And the beers are delicious! This place also has lots of events, like game nights, happy hours, among many other things. The staff and servers are super friendly and very helpful. Great hangout spot.

Google
The food is always amazing. The chef is a visionary. You can never go wrong here. Beer choices are superb. Come for the awesome beer stay for the delicious food, games and more beer too :)

Google
Craft beers on craft beers. About to try the wings (honey BBQ). Stay tuned for some pics. For starters, here's a Non Sequitor "you should've seen this coming". Wings were pretty good but the place ran out of wings on a Friday early. Wings had some flavor and they weren't little. Beer selection is excellent and the craft beers they had were very good.

Google
Great staff, hospitable, treated me like a friend even though it was my first time visiting. Not to mention all the wide ranging varieties of micro and craft brews on tap and in the cooler. Cesar is well versed in the brews available as well as food pairings. You can't go wrong with this gastropub with many local NYC beers on tap. Plus the M train station is a few blocks away! One of a kind in the Ridgewood and Middle Village area of NYC, not to mention its a gem and one if a kind.

Google
Nice beer and wine spot. They have games. I went fir comedy night. Although it was not alot of ppl . It was a good show. Very intimate. Fries and chicken was good too.

It’s just where you go. The beer rotates and the food consistently delicious. You can tell these guys are passionate about the food and beer.

Google
A real gem here in Ridgewood! Perfect for any discerning beer lover. I've been visiting at least once a week since they've opened (sometimes more frequently) and there's always something new to try. Wonderfully varied draft selection (I especially love the number of local brews), and an impressive and ever-changing selection of bottles and cans that can be enjoyed on-site or purchased to-go. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to sample much of the food yet, but I can vouch for the delicious soft pretzels and truffle fries. I'd be remiss not to mention the staff, too - everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. (Did I mention how much I love Ladies' Night? $5 drafts on Thursdays!) My absolute go-to place these days!

Yelp
Great neighborhood food and drink spot. Delicious burgers and great service here. I recommend checking it out

Yelp
I like this place a lot more than I ought to, but the staff is exceptional and there are so few places in the neighborhood to enjoy the game with some good beer. Cesar and his staff are all kind and generous. I can always come here and ask them to tune one of the TV to the Mets or Islanders, or even NHL playoffs with non NY matchups. They have up to 14 taps, most of which craft brews, the exceptions being cider and a non-alcoholic option. There's always* at least one pilsner, IPA, sour and dark beer on the menu. The food is above-average bar food: good but overpriced. The burger is extremely tiny. The brat was huge, but on an even bigger (and dry) bun. Chicken tenders are homemade but nothing special. Honestly, the pretzel might be the best thing I've tried. The problem is that their product offerings are too inconsistent. On any given day, half their taps are dry or maybe they don't have half the food menu items. I don't mind the latter so much because I'd rather eat a slice or two next door, but I do hope they get their tap situation straightened out.

Yelp
Great space.. On the smaller side but very chill vibes! Have two tvs and a nice bar area. They have a picnic like table tucked away in the back area. Bartender was very nice. Food looked good but, I did not have any. Beers were tasty. Highly recommend this bar!

Carol B.

Yelp
As a wrestling fan, it is so clutch to have an establishment like Craft Culture in the neighborhood. They always have a variety of beers on tap. They play sports and wrestling matches, including PPVs! Unlike other sports bars I've been to, this place is chill enough that you can have a conversation without yelling over music/tvs. They have board games. The menu features great bar food like sandwiches, wings, and burgers. If you are looking for a chill place to catch the game, have a beer, or play boardgames with your friends, this is it! The staff is also super friendly.

Joseph T.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Saturday night with my wife. Nice beer selection focused on crafts. Solid variety of styles. Bar looked quite nice too. Two TVs with decent sight lines for both TVs. They had college football playing on one screen and UFC going on another. Tons of games for entertainment. They had Life, Scrabble, Connect Four, Doninoes and more. Great spot for a game night. For food, we had the basic AF cheeseburger and the culture fries. Both were good. Service was pretty quick. Two gender neutral restrooms with one being handicap accessible.

Maria M.

Yelp
This place is very known to locals. Somedays it is crowded and others you will find plenty of seats. The owner of the bar is very kind and welcoming. The bar itself has a welcoming vibe as well. The truffle fries are best has the best taste and comes with a garlic dip that complements it so well. The burger is not my favorite but has a great taste too them. I've had better burgers in other places. I've seen the other food then serve and it looks very good haven't had the chance to try. Years ago I did try the tacos and they were great. What I enjoy most are all the different kinds of beers that are available. Although they are on the pricey side you could find craft beers from different breweries from all over US on draft and in cans to go. This place has really become staple in ridgewood.

Windy P.

Yelp
First time visitor & had a lovely evening! I forgot the bartenders name but he was there Friday evening 10/7. He welcomed us right away & we chose seats at the bar. He was super friendly & was playing great music. Had me sample the mead to be sure I liked before pouring full glass. The vibe was casual & we felt comfortable to order a few drinks, food & dessert. Everything was delicious. We will be back again!

Young K.

Yelp
This place had a decent selection of beers and good food. The only issue was that at some point, it was loud and the sound echoed, so it was hard to hear my own group. Later, though, the noise level was moderate.

Jane K.

Yelp
Great place to stop by for a variety of craft beer, board games, and very friendly staff. The burgers were delicious and the place was kept very clean. Hope they bring back their flights, I would love to be able to try a tasting. Definitely will be back to hang out!

Robert S.

Yelp
Craft Culture is an absolutely fantastic bar with a thoughtful and extensive line-up of beers. Cesar sets the tone for the whole bar and ensures it's always a fun, chill place to enjoy some of best beers around while you meet new friends and watch a game or a movie or play a game. CJ does great work back in the kitchen, too, and I can never decide to go with the burger or the chicken sandwich as they're both so freakin good. So I have to alternate. And then you have at least three different types of fries to choose from! Just an all-round wonderful neighborhood institution.

Brian R.

Yelp
I recommend the craft fries - they are really really good. The burger was pretty good, but just a bit small in size. Main issue is the service was really slow, but maybe they were understaffed that day.

C W.

Yelp
Great place with great beer selection. Craft Culture has become a second living room for many Ridgewood locals. Ceasar takes care of a steady stream of regulars while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks in. Stop in for great beer, conversation and CJ's cooking.

Kenna J.

Yelp
My husband and I had an impromptu late afternoon date here and really enjoyed our time! The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is relaxed, the service is prompt, and the vibe is spot on. There is a whole game shelf with a variety of games to play which was so fun! The drinks and the food are DELICIOUS! We could hardly decide what to order because I would have loved to eat anything off the menu. We went with teriyaki boneless wings and truffle fries. The garlic aioli is SO GOOD. All in all, such a fun experience and we will definitely be back!

Marcin G.

Yelp
What an awesome place! First of all, when they were announcing the opening of this place, I was like "how is anyone going to fit in there?". The location is small, but surprisingly they did a phenomenal job with the layout inside. There is a big bar with lots of seats, two large communal tables and two two-person tables. There's a huge fridge with lots of beer options too, including international ones which I was excited to try. There are two large TVs on the wall as well. The service is beyond amazing. They are nice, friendly and know how to properly run the place. The food was amazing as well. We went on a Tuesday and they had Taco Tuesday ($3 tacos). While waiting for the food, we played some Uno (they had lots of games and things on the bookshelf on the wall) and we noticed that the place was quite busy. Overall an awesome experience, can't wait to go back!

Raiesa F.

Yelp
Came in to CC on a Wednesday evening - the waitress told us that the kitchen would be closed in 15 minutes so we decided on what we wanted (a veggie quesadilla and burger with truffle fries). Both were absolutely delicious! The place also seemed to have games and trivia nights which I will definitely come back for. I got the sense that the restaurant/bar was wrestling themed (Had NWO shirts on the wall which is cool, since my bf likes wrestling) but overall it is a really fun place with good bar food

Nicole P.

Yelp
Cesar was friendly and accommodating! Excellent beer selection! Hands down the best burger (and vegan burger) we have ever had!

Margo G.

Yelp
Great vibe. Amazing beer. Fantastic staff! If you haven't made it here yet, you're missing out!! I tired the Mast Landing and Finback IPA they were SO good! I love Porter's and IPAs and this spot in in Bushwick was the perfect way to start my weekend in Brooklyn! Excited to come back! Great staff, I can't mention this enough. Super chill vibe and great food as well! I also tried the beef and chicken Empanadas. Delicious!

Amanda W.

Yelp
This place is wonderful! Real cozy vibe. The owner is Hispanic and really sweet. The burgers and fries are def the best in the neighborhood. Beer selection is great! One of my favorite places in the neighborhood!

Mabel E.

Yelp
Consistently great food, drinks and service. I've been here various times and will be a lifetime customer with how please I am with it. I'm vegetarian and they have some great options whether you're a meat eater or not. Must haves: pretzel bits, culture and truffle fries. Rotating menu of great beer and if you're like me who's clueless the bartenders always have a great suggestions. Plus there's various games to entertain anyone.

Varsha J.

Yelp
I was really excited to come here because this place had so many great reviews but my experience was not all that great. I mean I feel like there isn't a lot of bars with board games and I was so excited for this place. I came here with a party of 8 on Saturday 4/27 and we arrived a little before 10. I was not aware that this bar is self service. We came in and a very kind female gave us her table and Sat at the bar. That was kool of her. We sat down and the bartender acknowledged us but didn't say anything. After a few minutes I asked for a few menus because we intended on grabbing a bite, have a few drinks and play some games. She gave me the menu but never gave us a heads up that the kitchen was closing. When we were ready to order, my partner informed me that the kitchen was closed. We did order a few beers. I asked the bartender what she would recommend and she recommended the number 1 or 10 but didn't seem certain.. We ended up staying a bit playing jenga and Definietly a loud party. Just wished we knew about the kitchen because it threw off all the birthday plans we had and we ended up eating at another resturant.

Kyle G.

Yelp
One of the best pubs in nyc, and the food is to die for. Anyone who's in the area, please go check this spot out, you won't regret it .

Joanna M.

Yelp
This. This is the neighborhood Cheers/MacLaren's/Paddy's* I've been looking for. AMBIENCE. The venue is cozy (seats maybe 15-20 max indoors with COVID regulations?), which makes you feel like you're back in the 'burbs at your friend's parents' basement, having a good time with people you love. The bar gets a lot of loyal locals, so everyone is friendly toward each other, and it's not uncommon for different parties to chat with each other a bit. Decor is clean and unassuming (in a good way)--wooden tables and stools, pendant lighting, and a smattering of personal touches like framed awards the bar has received and a Pac-Man lamp in the corner. The vibe is that the team wants you to have some great beers with your friends in a place you feel at home in, without forcing a theme on you. DRINKS. During COVID, Craft Culture has pared down its draft selection to about 8 on tap (a range with several IPAs, sours, and at least one cider and stout), and they rotate frequently. The staff knows its stuff and can recommend something based on what you like, so don't be afraid to ask. They also have dozens of cans available from microbreweries across the country, each one with a story if you'd like to hear it. FOOD. I bit into my chicken sandwich and had to stop to tell my companions "oh my god this is the juiciest chicken sandwich I've ever eaten." CJ, Cesar, and the crew care about their food and it shows. The menu says bar food like burgers and fries but the results are so much more. We're talking a spicy burger with three types of jalapeños, bacon-stuffed patties, a vegan option that was made to taste good rather than added as a reluctant concession... They even take basic French fries and elevate them with a spice blend and garlic aioli that had me stealing more from my boyfriend's plate when he wasn't looking. NOM. SUMMARY If you're in the area looking for good food and beer in a welcoming location, Craft Culture is the place to go! *In all fairness to the staff, they seem considerably more together than the It's Always Sunny crew. Much more Sam Malone than Charlie Day.

Zara T.

Yelp
Had the burgers here and they were delicious. There are board games lining the shelves, a casual atmosphere and friendly staff. Stopped in here on a rainy day to stay dry and had a very chill experience.

Amro A.

Yelp
I stumbled in here already sauced looking for some grub and Craft Culture did not disappoint. From the friendly atmosphere with board-game stocked shelves to the killer food and fancy booze, this place has it all. For a vegetarian, CJ makes a mean f***in' bacon-stuffed burger. The juicy Frankenstein patty of ground-beef and thick cut bacon sat pretty with a generous slab of cheddar on a brioche bun. The culture fries have a nice outer crisp with a seasoning that evokes Wise BBQ potato-chips, except done better. 10/10, will munch again

Raquel B.

Yelp
I love it! Came in during a snow storm and enjoyed their small batch raspberry and blueberry beer with a burger. The staff and the patrons were great A gentleman said I looked 35 I'd come again without a storm to spur me on.

Cyrus P.

Yelp
They know and care about their beers. The gentleman behind the counter was super hospitable and knew every beer on their list with full detail. They give you different serving size options, which is perfect for trying different beers. Great vibe. Will absolutely be back.

Jeffrey B B.

Yelp
This place has incredible beers on draft, a great food menu, and a staff that is both friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a full fridge stocked with unique cans and bottles that you can pick up and go home with. The pricing is fair and the atmosphere is very welcoming. If you're a craft beer lover, this place is a must! Feel free to talk to Oliver behind the bar. He'll be your new best friend.

Flora C.

Yelp
I'm so glad this bar has reopened! They have a great selection of beer and the employees there are super nice people.

Dirk D.

Yelp
I visit this bar regularly - usually to take away canned and bottled beer. The owners and bartenders are fantastic. The beer selection is good and gets better every time I visit. Tap beer selection seems to focus on local craft breweries. In the bottled and canned section, most of the selection is from American craft breweries. My qualms with Craft Culture are small and I only mention them because I think they'd be easily remedied. The first is that the menu is small and focused on very heavy food. Also, they have sliders but no actual burger; a beer and a burger is one of life's greatest things. I'm sure adding a few more basic items (quesadilla, chicken sandwich, wings(please wings!!!)) would result in more customers. Second qualm is the $3 upcharge for drinking a bottle or canned beer on the premises. No problem with the charge itself but $3 is a bit much (the same charge in similar places is less - for instance, it's $1 at Brouwerij Lane). I have a feeling they sell a lot more tap beer than bottled/canned because of this charge. If they sold more cans/bottles, I think the selection would rotate more so that would be great for all of us. Overall, this is a really solid bar and an excellent addition to the neighborhood. I'm happy to be a patron here and look forward to coming here as it continues to blossom.

Macy M.

Yelp
Amazing selection of craft beers, beautiful decor, and the most friendly staff who is very knowledgeable about every beer they sell. If you're not sure what to order, they will happily give you reccomendations. They have 16 beers on tap and they are all either from NYC or NY State. I can't wait to go back and try their food!

Amelia H.

Yelp
Craft Culture has really hit its stride. We live nearby and have eaten here about 5 or 6 times and every time it's on point-- and only gets better. Plenty of craft beers to choose from, and always new ones to try. But what's really standout is the food. You think a place like this the best you can hope for is semi-decent bard food. But everything I've had here: sliders, veggie burger, jalapeño burger, seasoned fries.. it's all been divine. The bartenders are also amazing at recommending brews and the service is stellar. Fun events and great specials. All around 5 stars!!

Adam E.

Yelp
Love the vibe at this spot. Awesome food and good beer selection, will be coming back often with more friends

Anna T.

Yelp
Love this place! The owner and bartenders are all super friendly and awesome. The selection of beer is incredible, their culture fries are delish as are the burgers and those cowboy poppers. They have fun events like game nights and trivia. This is a place for community and comradery over unique and quality beers! I also like that there is a to-go section of lots of pretty and rare beers!

Karen M.

Yelp
Great beer selection, friendly and helpful bartenders, and a nice selection of games to keep you busy while you enjoy your drinks. The food looked good, my friends got truffle fries which looked (and they confirmed were) delicious.

Roxanne R.

Yelp
This place has such great service and the food is great too! The bar owner is super friendly. They also have a nice selection. Game nights are awesome there. So are the happy hours.

Carmen T.

Yelp
Great beer selection and love the burgers and truffle fries .. amazing.. my husband loves the choices in IPA beers.

Renee C.

Yelp
I love their BLT, my favorite! Crispy bacon, amazing bread and aioli, great truffle fries and good selection of ciders on draft. Friendly owner/service too!

Niccolo M.

Yelp
The owner first of all, his knowledge of beer is amazing! He helps pair your beer selection with his awesome dishes. I've been to plenty of gastropubs, but this by far is the most fun experience I've had anywhere to date! The selection is amazing! Not your typical commercial spot, feels like you're in your backyard drinking awesome selections of beers with even better food! A must go!! Ask for Cesar! Even a novice to expert beer consumer would approve!

Carissa S.

Yelp
I LOVE this space. Everyone is so friendly and the beer selection is FANTASTIC. I am local and decided to try this place and will be back regularly- so happy to have found such an oasis of comfort and great selection so locally! 5 stars, 100%, and great friends made.

Alejandro L.

Yelp
Had been waiting for this bar to open for a while. Excited when it finally opened. Went with my girlfriend and my father and his girlfriend. We ordered the empanadas, middle eastern salad and truffle fries. Food was superb. More than you would expect of 'bar food.' Real quality ingredients and I would love the recipes to try at home. The bartender, Oliver, and the cook were really nice guys. Just Great service. The place has a fun decor and televisions. Really looking forward to going back.

Agnieszka L.

Yelp
Maybe they have a good selection of beers but the waitress was more interested in talking to some guys at the bar than paying attention to the customers who waited 30 minutes to be noticed. Place looks cool but I was discouraged by lack of attention. If this place is self service then it should have sign somewhere or at least the waitress should let us know about it.

Andrew M.

Yelp
The Ridgewood area has been craving a quality, non pretentious craft beer bar. This is the one. Great service, great drinks.

Francisco R.

Yelp
Alright...I've been to a lot of places in a lot of different cities and I'll tell you this place is definitely worth a visit. The beer is very good, diverse, of high quality, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is excellent--inviting, friendly, and comfortable. Oliver was my bartender and he was superb--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I will be back for sure.

Richard J.

Yelp
Nice addition to the neighborhood only thing missing is Queens lager from the tap list. On the food front the fried sausage things are your best bet.

Roberto R.

Yelp
First of all, I just want to say that this is my first time writing a review in a very long time, and I don't usually do this maybe because I work as a bartender and I understand how things work behind it, food was good, beers were good as well, but the moment that I asked for the check, they don't show me the details, just a slip with the amount of $80, I asked the bartender to please print for me a detail receipt of what I ordered, and next thing you know, they charged me for a second beer that I didn't drink, and they charged $3 dollars for a "pouring fee"?? , I mean, if that's the case I'll just pour it myself if you're gonna charge that much..! Then they apologize and said that they're going to fix it, we need it to leave at that moment so I left it like that, but they didn't and on top of that, they took the $20 that i added to my bill with my card too, which I'm not even complaining about that, but they didn't remove the second beer that I didn't drink, so I ended up paying $100, it's just not fair guys, and that "pouring fee"?.. really

Brian E.

Yelp
Best bar in ridgewood! Caesar is the owner who is a great guy and all the other bartenders are fantastic. This place quickly became me and my brothers go to spot to drink awesome beer and have fun.

Gabriela V.

Yelp
New spot with convenient bus and train access! With a huge variety of craft beers and good food, you can't go wrong. I ordered an Alphabet City Easy Blonde Ale and then an Ithica Apricot Wheat, both good! Also ordered the Ridgewood BLT which had chipotle mayo AND pesto...uh-ma-zing (not to mention that it comes with French fries w/ a side of garlic aioli.) I highly recommend!! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. With spacious and comfortable seating, I will definitely be coming back!

Mika W.

Yelp
My friends and I have been drinking craft beer for a little over 6 years now and it is an ever changing and rapidly growing trade. Small breweries all over NY and the US are creating insane IPAs, Sours, stouts, pale ales etc and bonds are forming over amazing 5-10% beers. Craft Culture is changing the way hop lovers enjoy delicious beverages. I believe they will become an ever changing staple for local and traveling craft beer drinkers. Their concept of being one stop shop for all local NY breweries is fantastic. I'm not saying the days of standing in line for cans in the freezing or sweltering weather are long gone, but it's wonderful to have a centralized place to come too, and enjoy the ever changing beer selections. It's also great to be able to sit and grab a bite to eat. I look forward to seeing the impact Craft Culture has on queens and it's beer loving patrons.

Emily F.

Yelp
This a great addition to the neighborhood. Excellent beer selection and super chill and friendly bartenders. My one and only qualm is that the harsh lighting of the bar gives the space a serious cafeteria vibe, which is generally not what I want when I'm imbibing.
