What began as a popular food truck has blossomed into one of Cary’s most respected barbecue restaurants. The Humble Pig, run by husband-and-wife team Ross and Joey McCarthy, brings a creative yet reverent approach to North Carolina barbecue. Their menu highlights expertly smoked pork, brisket, and inventive sides like jalapeño mac and cheese, earning high marks from local critics and a nod from Southern Living for their commitment to quality and community. The casual, family-friendly setting makes it a favorite for both barbecue purists and those looking to try something new.

We had a wonderful dinner at Craft Public House… The menu is extremely vast but be warned there only a handful of vegetarian/vegan options… but the food that we did order hit the spot!! The nachos were a bit of a let down but the eggplant more than made up for that! The eggplant dish was banging!! The portions are v generous! And the dessert portions are mind boggling! Overall, it’s a great family dining experience. We were seated in the relatively less exciting part of the restaurant. The side with the bar and the televisions is definitely more vibrant.

Felt the food could have been better, the items we ordered had no seasoning there was no basic salt nor nothing felt blunt expect the CPH Nacho’s, some of the items like Pub burger and Stuffed Eggplant were little pricey. The lady who served us was good and checked if we were doing good.

My server was Elijah. He was absolutely fantastic. Very attentive. He was very friendly as well. However, I do agree with many other reviews, the food was kind of bland. It wasn’t what I had hoped for. The setup of this place is very odd. You walk in to a bakery and then get seated near the bar and then there is kind of a separate seating section with very little partition. I sat at a high top near the bar and should have asked to move. There was plenty of parking. Not sure if I would visit again. Pleasant experience overall.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. The food and service were very good and the restaurant was clean and homey. We got BBQ chicken pizza and fish and chips. Both dishes were delicious and we didn't leave hungry. They have a good beer and wine selection.

The craft public house was pretty good. For starters the place is nice and clean, and the service was excellent. The layout of the store is a little unusual. You walk in one door and there’s a display of desserts, but then you walk to the right to the main seating area, which is more bar style. It’s not really an open layout as there’s a divider and some glass partitions that separate the because g room creating essentially two sections. I wouldn’t call it warm or cozy as it almost gives off a sterile type feeling. They have a good size menu with plenty of options from burgers to chicken to appetizers and more. We ordered the Carolina Cuban and the Southwest burger and they were decent, but I felt they didn’t have a lot of flavor. The sweet potato fries were cut like steak fries which is bigger. Our waitress was wonderful. I don’t remember her name, but she was very attentive, checked on us and shared more on the food and beer. Overall I thought this place was good, and feel it would be a nice place to hang out with some friends to watch the game. There are tons of TVs and a bar area where you can sit down. There’s a good selection of drinks and local craft beers which I always appreciate.

We dined here for the first time tonight. It definitely seems like a local gem! 30 minutes of wait time for a table for 2 on a Friday night. A glass case of desserts welcomes you when you walk in. One side of the restaurant is more a dining room while the other is a sports bar cafe with many tvs. We ended up being seated in the dining room, but next time, we will preference the sports bar area. Our meals were tasty. I had the crab cake sandwich while my husband had the Philly cheese steak. Although the restaurant was full, we had great service. Sanitation rating was 93.5, which could be improved. At the end of our dinner, we stopped by the glass case for dessert. I was shocked when the server rang up the price of the confetti cake - $17+ with taxes included for basically the size of a Costco cupcake! This was actually the same price as my crab cake sandwich meal. It would be advantageous for prices to be displayed in the case to allow customers to preview them. After waiting at the glass case for assistance, I felt awkward turning down the cake. I was hoping the quality of the cake would make me disregard the high price paid. Unfortunately, the cake wasn’t impressive.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch today. We were greeted promptly by the hostess that sat us. Our waitress Rhonda P is awesome! Rhonda was friendly, and courteous. Our food was delicious, Rhonda returning to our table to confirm we had everything we needed. To say I was impressed by Craft Public House is an understatement. If I could give higher than a 5 stars I would! Lunch was:Blackened Salomon salad cooked to perfection. Husband had Steakhouse BBQ burger and fries. We will definitely be back!

Ordered the chicken tender mashed potato bowl and added 4 additional tenders ($17.50 total). All the tenders came burnt and they were the smallest tenders I've ever seen. I'm also fairly sure they didn't add in my extra tenders as it certainly didn't seem like there were more than 4. Ordered the cheese fries as well and both the fries and bacon were burnt. At least there was a good amount of them. Also got a side salad for $6 and it was the tiniest side salad I've ever seen in my life. Everything felt way overpriced for portion size and was overcooked. Very disappointing experience. Adding photos with a finger for scale at how tiny the portions are.
