The tiny dive in Historic Filipino has been around for a few years, and has become one of the most reliable bars in the city. "Located on a quiet stretch of Historic Filipinotown, Crawford’s is one of those bars you start thinking about two bars before you actually end up there. The space is pretty small, but they make the most of it with a billiards table, a few video games in the corner, and big red booths. It’s beer and wine only, which is good news for you because you downed five vodka sodas at the last bar, and it’s time to take your foot off the gas. Next to a Taco Bell in Historic Filipinotown, this is an unpretentious place to escape your usual people with whiskey and Buck Hunter 2000. This neighborhood dive bar in Historic Filipinotown has only been open for a few years, but feels like a weathered staple. The crowd is a mix of locals who walked there and people from Silver Lake who are sick of Silver Lake. It isn’t a big space, but there are a few booths, a billiards table, and a Cruisin’ USA in the corner. Just don’t leave without getting some hot chicken from the bar - it’s debatably as good as Howlin’ Ray’s." - brant cox
