The BBQ won’t disappoint, we got the 5 way and it served 5 people easy, sandwiches are a great portion as well, the hardest part is you have to leave room for the cheesecake and I cant stress enough to just get the mini 6 pack you won’t regret it. The OG, Hennessy and prelim, and the uban were all very good! Great location and friendly staff! The owner Ben is a great guy definitely deserves the community’s support!

Google
Great atmosphere. The owner/chef is very enthusiastic and welcoming with music playing in the background. I ordered 3-way BBQ combo which included chicken, tri tip and lamb with macaroni n cheese and collard greens. Also includes pickle onions and pickles. Everything was very well seasoned and juicy. The tri tip and lamb so tender that you can cut with a fork. Flavorable juicy Chicken was tender but prefer mines overcooked falling off the bone. One order is definitely enough BBQ to feed two people comfortablely. OH, don't forget to try the creamy cheesecake dessert. 😊

Google
Amazing bbq and very reasonable prices. The owner is so energetic and nice. I have been here a few times and finally managed to take some photos before inhaling it all! Salmon, Brisket and Chicken were all super and I had the jackfruit previously which did not disappoint. Favorite sides- mac’n cheez & coleslaw. Oh, don’t forget the latkes and ube cheesecake…

Google
"They made their cheesecake from scratch and you can tell" said my girlfriend as devours her cheesecake bowl. "The cheesecake I ever had" she continues. "So good, worth every penny...this is now my favorite spot...do you think it is too much if I take extra ones for my coworkers." I also had the bbq chicken and I am very impressed as well! Originally came in just to take pictures of the wall murals and end up with a very beautiful surprise on the food taste.

Had dinner here tonight and it was awesome. The barbecue was absolutely top notch, probably the best I've had in the East Bay. I knew the chef from his days of running his cheesecake pop up so I knew his cheesecake was fire, but I did not realize he was also a savant with savory food too. Then again all of his food are tried and true recipes from his mom and grandma, so of course they were 10/10. We ordered the latkes (TL;DR the best latkes in the bay, they were perfectly light and crispy) and the Chiblamon combo plate (all 4 of their meats - Chicken, brisket, lamb, and salmon + 3 sides of your choosing) and it was an OBSCENE amount of food, more than enough to feed 2 people and very reasonably priced ($45). The brisket was solid and the salmon savory and lucious. The Mac and Cheese here is especially decadent, with shell pasta, creamy sauce, and crispy breadcrumbs. The chef and owner here is the nicest guy you will have the pleasure of meeting and the ambiance is super fun, especially for 80s and 90s kids (at heart).

Google
Silly me, got too excited to eat and forgot to take a photo of the actual food! Ordered the brisket with cornbread and collard greens per the chefs recommendation, and latkes. Also had some agua fresca mixed with lemonade and tea. Absolutely delicious food for very reasonable price. My friend and I weren’t starving so the one item plate and two latkes were more than enough for us. Brisket is super smoky, more than other bbq spots, and you can choose lean or juicy (juicy is obviously the way to go). Comes with bbq sauce and habanero. Corn bread was a giant slab with butter and honey. Collard greens were very flavorful. Latkes were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. Also got a bunch of their cheesecakes (6 for $30 minis) which were so creamy and delicious! Casual dining, good vibes, great flavors.

Google
BBQ and cheesecake? Didn’t know I needed that combo until now. We’ve been obsessed with @Cheesecakes from Crazy Block Cheesecakes since their pop-up days, so when we found out they just opened a spot in Oakland and added BBQ, we had to check it out. 🙌 The owner told us he grew up making BBQ, so adding it to the menu was just the next step for him. And honestly? He nailed it. I got the brisket (so tender I didn’t even need a knife), Deshaun went for the lamb, and we were both seriously impressed. 🍗🔥 He’s got a bunch of sauces too—habanero was my fave, but the meat was so good it didn’t even need it. Of course, we couldn’t leave without our usual: the strawberry cheesecake. Still our favorite. If you’re ever craving BBQ and dessert, this is your spot. We’re already planning our next visit. 🍰🫶

Google
Ben's food is always amazing, much like the man himself! 😁 The dinosaur ribs were fantastic!!!! (Didn't get a chance to take better pics, sorry) The brisket never disappoints, same with the cheesecakes - you can't go wrong with any of them - or pretty much anything on the menu haha. I'm doing my best to try all 160 flavors, and I will eventually! (Had cheesecake to go, no photo oops). The latkes are perfect, super delicious and pair well with everything. Loooove the house made applesauce. This is officially my favorite restaurant and if I could, I'd eat here everyday! Everything is made with care and fills you with happiness. And for you art aficionados like me, there's wonderfully nostalgic murals on the walls! Hurry in!

Yelp
This review is a for a TGTG order! Visited the kitchen where they make the cheesecake and it's in the commercial area of Alameda! Parking is plenty! The drive from my house was around 30 minutes so, I didn't get there until 1:20PM(their pick up ends at 1:30!). I did see other TGTG customer, as the pickup window is a bit narrow, just 30 minutes. At first, I was given a bag with 1 medium plain cheesecake and 1 mini salted caramel cheesecake, which would be a $15 value. Didn't meet the $18 minimum value, but I thought, "maybe they just ran out, it's okay, I still got cheesecake!". (The cheesecakes also come frozen. My thoughts process is they bring these to sell at farmers markets, and freeze whatever they have left?) As I'm walking away, the guy is chasing after me with 2 more minis. I was super excited and well really happy. He handed me a 1 mini plain and 1 mini salted caramel. The New York style cheesecake was creamy and delicious. I love how the crust is a little bit saltier, which balanced out the sweetness! I haven't tried to Salted caramel yet, but will try it tonight!

Yelp
Crazy Block Cheesecake is my new go to for my cheesecake fix! I've tried about 4 of their cheesecakes and I'm hooked!! This place showed up on my feed on Instagram and seeing that they are always at the Irvington Farmer's Market in Fremont every Sunday I knew I had to try them out. What really drew me to want to try them is the owner. He's very upbeat, full of energy, has a great spirit and personality but most importantly he believes in the product he's selling. He uses the best ingredients and the cheesecakes are made with love. He has been doing a world tour the last few weeks and has added so many different varieties of cheesecakes to his menu that represent different countries and I love this concept. I've bought the Strawberry, Tiramisu, OG N.Y. Style and Henny Praline. While all of the cheesecakes were very good I would say that the OG N.Y. Style and the Henny Praline were my favorites. The OG N.Y Style was so creamy and decadent, the cheesecake itself isn't too sweet and they sour cream layer on the top complimented it well. I love the graham cracker crust too, it seems to have a bit of a caramelized flavor to me and it's not super crumbly. The Henny Praline was so unique, the henny flavor wasn't too prominent and it was so flavorful. The streusel topping was so divine, I loved it. The Strawberry cheesecake was good and very creamy, it is basically the OG N.Y. but topped with fresh strawberries. The Tiramisu was really good as well if you love a strong coffee flavor. Overall, I will be back as the flavors change weekly and the cheesecakes are so good.

Yelp
Crazy block cheesecakes- is one of my favorite small pop up biz located at IRVINGTON FARMER's market in fremont from 8:30AM-1:00pm. The owner of this business is very friendly, welcoming and always smiling that He can make the business interaction as friendly and as positive. The cheesecake flavors changes as the owners announces/post it through their instagram page a couple of days prior. As a Pinoy (Filipino) I am glad to find out that He had a wide variety of Filipino Flavors that he offers last sunday March 24,2024 I got the Original PINOY HALO HALO UBE PANDAN BUKO PANDAN UBE PISTACHIO COOKIES AND CREAM OG (original) All these cheesecakes (personal size) has a delicious home made recipe by the owner's grandma so it is indeed an original recipe. Buttery-creamy,crispy ,sweet crust perfect for any cheesecake flavors. The cooking, baking technique is amazing as the owner himself do his own research with ingredients, flavors and texture to bring out the best of the best. The packaging is neat, organized and super cute Kudos to the hardwork and dedication. This is not your ordinary cheesecake.Try it now

Yelp
Ok so it's cheesecake we are talking about...yum all on its own just knowing it's all about cheesecake. I was lucky enough to find this business at the Fremont Festival and I'm so glad I did. The very first thing that caught my eye was the bold logos and set up. Secondly you are immediately welcomed by the most friendly upbeat staff and although this isn't necessarily a priority....because hello it's CHEESECAKE it is above average niceness and just draws you in even more. I ended up getting a "variety pack" with the following flavors: Hennessy, Corn, Ube, and OG Original NY style. Each flavor shines but my favorite in taste and consistency is the OG hands down. Perfect amount to satisfy that sweet tooth and very reasonable in price. You must make time to go get some for yourself.

Yelp
As good as I've had. I was walking past the Alameda farmers market today and the cheesecake sign caught my eye. I'm so glad it did! I picked up a few different mini cakes for my family. Our favorites were the strawberry and the ube cheesecakes. The lemon berry and OG were also fantastic. It was purely a personal taste thing. I don't think I'll be able to walk past Crazy Block again without bringing some home for the gang. Although next time, I might forget to tell the kids.

Yelp
These cheesecakes are so freaking good! I've never been to the actual address on Yelp, but they were at the Alameda Sunday Farmers Market. I bought a mini New York style cheesecake ($5 for the minis) a couple months ago and it tasted so good that I came back just to look for it. The cookies & cream cheesecake is also delicious. The crust on these cheesecakes is perfectly thick and the cheesecake is fluffy and yummy. I'm craving another one while I type this so I'll have to go back this weekend!

Yelp
I haven't been to the cheesecake spot in Alameda but they had a stand at the Art festival in Fremont where I got to try their cheesecake. The kind and charming gentleman was giving out samples. I heard him yelling "cheesecake" and I automatically gravitated towards his stand. I love cheesecake. I bought a mini OG Grandma's New York cheesecake. It was so rich and creamy. You can tell it is a family recipe. The packaging was so cute! It's in a little cow print cup with their logo on top. I love supporting small businesses for this reason. Everything is so well thought out and authentic. I will be stopping by at their booth again. They are in Fremont at the farmers market every Sunday.

Yelp
Crazy Block Cheesecake was at Korner Kitchen one saturday. they were one of many vendors there on a popup day. seating available outdoors. offerings: O.G. new york style, pumpkin, sweet potato, pecan pie, banana peanut butter chocolate, ube, cookies & cream, henny praline...sizes: sampler (4,99), minis (8.99), pies (16.99) eats: pecan pie, ube, minis (8.99) -block is a misnomer, just marketing, all cheesecakes are in circular tins. -artisanally made with natural ingredients includes graham cracker crusts, lower fat cream cheese, .... -filler isn't cream cheese, it's whatever the moniker states: pecan pie, ube. the filler is dense, has the texture of a pie or cake, it's also very sweet, not my preference. -not "crazy" about the varietals, prefer the O.G. which may be all cheesecake.

Yelp
*** 4 - 4.5 stars *** Hello? You say cheesecake? I'm there! Crazy Block Cheesecake makes a light and fluffy one with a deliciously distinct crust...The graham cracker is made from scratch and unique...can't pinpoint but the crust has the usual butter, sugar and has some texture (maybe some oats? Feels like a blindfolded GR: Hell's Kitchen challenge!) The crust compliments the airiness of the filling. Buttery, caramelized sugar, crunchy, yet chewy...almost a hybrid of a brulee to sticky toffee pudding texture...whatever it is it's AMAZING! The mini is about 4oz of yumminess and more of a scoopable cheesecake. I tend to lean towards a richer, denser cheesecake but this lighter version was delicious and wouldn't make me feel guilty eating another :) CBC offers a wonderful variety of flavors like banana pudding, cookies and cream and strawberry but I'm more of a cheesecake purist and just like a plain/original so you can taste the sweetness with a slight tanginess. Others enjoyed and loved the flavored ones. I'll definitely return and even try a flavored one...Yay I'm a fan!

Yelp
What a delicious addition to the Dublin's Farmers Market! It was hard to miss with the friendly employees saying hi and offering free samples. My sons and I all enjoyed the creamy cheesecake and crunchy crust. We've brought home a few minis in different flavors two weeks in a row. They're all yummy, but the blueberry French toast was our favorite! I wish the mango had more mango. Can't wait to try more flavors!!

Yelp
Incredible Cheesecakes! So many different flavors to choose from! You will never get tired of these because there always new flavors being rolled out to try! Ben Block the owner of Crazy Block Cheesecake is also one of the most friendliest business owners around! Always super energetic and also crazy about his cheesecakes! Highly recommend to check them out at the local farmers markets around the Bay! They do indeed go crazy!
google avatar

Anna D.

Yelp
The owner, Ben, made up for the first batch of cheesecakes I bought. He gave me a variety of flavors, my favorite one was the lemon/citrus one. They were all decadent but the lemon/citrus one was absolutely sublime. Thank you so much Ben for making it up to me. I truly appreciate you :)
google avatar

Trinh P.

Yelp
Seriously the best cheesecake I ever had! Even better than the ones in NY!!! Classic NY cheesecake is so good! Also tried the Vietnamese coffee- this has to be my favorite! It tastes just like the drink! My daughter loves his "oops all berry" yes the cereal!! And the crust, it's like nothing I had before, it's so so good. All the cheesecake isn't heavy, it's dangerous bc you feel like you can have multiple servings lol also the owner is so nice! Always so happy and friendly. We also tried salted Carmel and the peanut butter banana chocolate Don't judge me until you try yourself
google avatar

Yelp
Yumm, yumm, and yumm! We tried the original and the lemon cheesecake. The perfect sweetness and flavor. Also I gotta commend the excellent customer service. It will keep me coming back.
google avatar

Jie L.

Yelp
Been to their Alameda location, tried their chocolate, original, ube, cinnamon among other flavors. Everything was super tasty and I love the size options, you can try many flavors or indulge in 1. Highly recommend!

Elicia R.

Yelp
My family's most favorite cheesecakes ever! The classic NY cheesecake is out of this world (you will dream about the base!) and we love trying the creative and unique seasonal flavors. Owner is friendly and takes pride in his creations. Recommend x100!
google avatar

Yelp
I live 2 blocks away from the Alameda farmers market so I am a regular. Without a doubt, Crazy Block brings the energy, quality, and yummy to this market. The owner is a DELIGHT. I've had a couple of flavors and still go back to the OG NY flavor bc it truly takes me back to my New York days. Not that his other flavors aren't divine as well. I appreciate the little things - the stickers he offers my child, the presentation, the unique flavors, the merch, the warmth coming from this man. Makes me appreciate cheesecake at a whole new level.
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
I go to the Dublin Farmers' Market every week for these cheesecakes! They're served in a cup and consist of three layers- a light tangy topping, creamy inside, and crunchy golden crust. Experimental with the flavors, too! They have a variety of fruits-- blueberry, strawberry, mulberry-- and other cool flavors. My favorite is the roasted sweet corn. It has a nutty, earthy flavor that I haven't tasted, EVER. The owner is also friendly and gives out Pokémon cards, HAHA.
google avatar

Tina L.

Yelp
My teenager son is a very picky eater and he LOVES Crazy Block cheesecakes. He likes the plain kind and I LOVE all of their flavors. I am not really a cheesecake person because I found most cheesecakes too rich but Crazy Block's cheesecakes are perfect! They are creamy but not overly rich. The crust is a bit on the sweet side to my taste but it goes super well with my sugarless coffee. I've met two different guys so far and they both are very friendly. I loved this guy's smile so much that I asked him for permission to take a picture. I finished my cheesecake before I had a chance to take pictures. Support local business. Get cheesecakes for your next potluck even if you are not a cheesecake person! These guys really put their hearts into making these yummy cheesecakes!
google avatar

Rochelle S.

Yelp
Had this at the Almanac brewing company in Alameda. I was roped in by how friendly he was and the offer of a free sample! I tried the original (his moms recipe I think he said), which was delicious! I got a mini one (he also sells 9inch rounds). It was the perfect sized treat! It was also super super good with plenty of crust, which is my favorite part. I'll think of him in the future if I need a cheesecake for an event or just a little treat.
google avatar

Yelp
First time having Crazy Block Cheesecakes, and I am absolutely in love with it! Ate the OG NY Style cheesecake and I shared the PBJ and Choco Caramel with my family. I definitely recommend to try the cheesecakes. I can't wait to try other different flavors of cheesecake made by them. Absolutely amazing service as well, very sweet! Definitely going to order from them again .
google avatar

Yelp
Love seeing this guy at the farmers markets and when he pops up on too good to go! Delicious and interesting cheesecake flavors. Really nice guy too! Keep up the great work and we're looking forward to our next purchase!

Xu M.

Yelp
I ordered through the Too Good To Go app. When I arrived at the pick-up window at 2400 Monarch St, nobody answered the door. I waited about 10 minutes before I left empty-handed. It was a waste of time and gasoline.
google avatar

Mindy S.

Yelp
Unbelievably delicious grandma's NY style cheesecake. My NY Jewish grandma made cheesecake like this and I could never replicate. Ben has nailed all of our NY East Coast Jew/Italian grandmas' recipes! He may add a few new flavors, his flare on the OG, but they're just as phenomenal! We're hooked! Mazel Tov, Ben!

Wesley M.

Yelp
These are high quality cheesecakes and the diverse menu has something for everyone. I'm glad this locally owned business has continued to grow and this stands as a testament to the professionalism Mr.B carries behind the craft. Very excited for the storefront opening on Lakeshore! Hard to believe I was introduced to Crazy block when it was just great food from Chef! Hope they bring that back someday soon. Don't sleep on it, keep on it!
google avatar

Brandon N.

Yelp
Am I glad that they got me with a free sample at the Dublin farmer's market. The Classic NY Cheesecake is downright better than most cheesecakes from New York. My Vietnamese dad also enjoyed the Henny Praline but said it needs more Henny!
google avatar

Yelp
I discovered this business yesterday through Too Good to GO, and omg, I will pay full price for these perfectly portioned out, scrumptious desserts. The package I got had three flavors, including classic, turtle, and something with a light dusting of cinnamon. The chef who handed me my bags was good enough to tell me that the cheesecakes needed to be eaten same day or frozen immediately. (I love people who care about the integrity of the food experience!) CRUST: Cooked to a crisp, whether it was graham cracker crust or a chocolate one. Buttery, caramelized possibly. FILLING: Verrry rich, sweet, but not overly sweet. You can taste the quality of ingredients! SERVICE: A+++, 5* for providing instructions with care and a smile you can see behind the mask. The owner chef cares for the quality of what he sends out into the world. Thank you for an amazing experience and for putting your love and heart into your craft. I'm sharing your mini-cheesecakes with all my friends today.
google avatar

Amy J.

Yelp
We ran across these cheesecakes at the farmers market in Dublin and San Leandro. He always gave out samples and they were yummy. We ordered a full triple berry cheesecake for my son's birthday and it was delicious! We also got a small peanut butter cup and avocado. The y were all great but the berry was above and beyond good. I highly recommend!
google avatar

William K.

Yelp
I had crazy block cheesecake for the first time today. Boy this is really good. I one hundred percent recommend this.

Yelp
This cheesecake is LIFE!!!! Never was a big fan of cheesecake because I had only tried cheesecake factory and nations. But this right here blew them out of the water!! The crust was so good perfect graham crust buttery and crisp just how you want it. The flavors are amazing as well you definitely won't find anything like this anywhere. This guy who makes and sells the cheesecakes is so genuine and humble you can't help but leave smiling every time you stop by. Seriously go get some you will love it, even if you are like me and not big into dessert. Best cheesecake hands down!!

Yelp
Goddamn, this dude makes good cheesecake. Legitimately life-changing, this cheesecake. Spectacular patisserie, this cheesecake. First stop: the OG. Its not JUST a simple cheesecake (I mean, it is, yes, alright), but a freaking masterpiece. Three distinct layers: a toothsome graham cracker crust, topped with rich, velvety cream-cheese liberally spiked with citrus that strikes a perfect balance between sweet and savory, topped with a light cream cheese frosting. Good gracious, it turned my "I don't like sweets" neighbor into a believer. Next up: Hennesey-Praline. The crust is a little sweeter, beefed up with...probably Hennesey. The middle layer: rich, boozy, delightful. The top layer: that spectacular frosting, Hennesey-Praline with Ghiradelli Chocolate drizzle. Boom. Next time I go a' flirtin' I'll be bringing one of these beautiful bastards to my beaux's boudoir. Finally: Drop it down low with the chocolate "Oreo". Yeah, the crust is chocolatey A.F., the crunch is just perfect, but the middle layer? It actually tastes like Oreo cream (without the cloying, vegital oil notes). The top, cream and Oreo crumbles. Spectacular. Five Stars: Run, don't walk to support this small business and get some spectacular, bizarre, majestic cheesecake from a nice dude.

Yelp
So, this very kind gentleman came into my job today and purchased a shirt. While I was ringing him, he asked about food restaurants and I made a couple of recommendations. At that time, he said he owns a cheesecake company, then brought me a cheesecake. When I got home, OMG! That was one of the best original cheesecakes I've ever tasted! Buttery graham cracker crust, with a homemade touch, made my family and I go back for a second slice. It was SO good! Unfortunately, I don't live near his restaurant. But if I did, I promise you everyone in the restaurant would know me by name, because I'd be there way too often! THANK YOU so much for sharing and I pray you have an abundance of success!
google avatar

Yelp
My whole family love crazy block cheesecake! We always buy extra and freeze in case we have guests over. It's always a hit!

Denny H.

Yelp
I pride myself on making a decent PB cheesecake. These cheesecakes make mine seem chumpy. They're just so good. Large selection of flavors and the mini sizes are perfect.

Yelp
I usually don't like cheesecake but this cheesecake completely changed my mind. It was so so good. I was shocked..lol...I am completely converted to loving cheesecake
google avatar

Kiersten M.

Yelp
Picked up a surprise bag from the anti food waste app Too Good to Go and am sooo impressed with my mini cheesecakes!!! Absolutely delicious homemade treats and the chef/owner is so kind. Looking forward to trying out more flavors at a farmers market!!
google avatar

Joanne C.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! Got the chance to try out this place when they had a pop up at almanac beer co. I got the dalgona flavor and cookie & creme and both were good! But out of the two flavors, my favorite was dalgona. It was creamy, flavorful and coffee like! I highly recommend this flavor!! Also the cookie and creme was also really good. It tastes just like cookies and creme!! If you like that specific flavor, try it and you won't be disappointed. All and all both flavors were really good! I would get these as mini treats!
google avatar

Yelp
Most tastiest cheesecakes ever ! Once you try one you can't help to resist for more . Best in the bay , try them out you won't regret it! Ben is such an awesome guy, he forsure puts his love and passion into his ingredients.

Margaret H.

Yelp
The cheese cake is creamy yet not super rich. Bothe the NY cheesecake and Oreo cheesecake are equally tasty.

Lindsay T.

Yelp
Legit the best cheesecake I've ever had, the customer service is always on point You can tell that he is passionate about his cheesecake flavors. Also clean and fast service. I'll always come back for the oops hella berries and og ny!

Kris D.

Yelp
Crazy Block Cheesecakes has the best most unique cheese cakes ever. They're always coming out with new flavors but my personal favorite is the "Oops all berries" which is rare. Their merch is also pretty cool and the guy who runs the business is also pretty welcoming with excellent service, & did I forget? Free Samples too if you catch em at their pop up events. I heard of crazy block cheesecakes through an add on Instagram and their unofficial official spokesperson easily convinced me to give them a try, and I haven't regretted it ever since. Shout out Crazy block cheese cakes!!!!!!

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
the best cheesecake ive had so far. i come every week for their cheesecakes and they always are so good. my favorites are strawberry and og but all the flavors are so creative and amazing. they are also priced nicely for only 4.99 for a mini. go buy their cheesecake i promise you won't regret it. the owner is also such a cool and funny guy and their service is really great too!

Darlene P.

Yelp
Crazy Good cheesecake! I love all of the flavors and I'm looking forward to trying more. Better than any cheesecake that I've had and it's cheesecake with a twist and flair. Just awesome. The baker is an amazing artist. Go get crazy and get yourself some Crazy Block Cheesecake. You're going to love it!
