"Creamistry, a California-based chain that freezes its ice cream with liquid nitrogen, has debuted its fifth Dallas-area location. The newest outpost debuted over the weekend at 2301 North Akard Street, inside the ritzy Union Dallas building that also houses Tacolingo, The Henry, and forthcoming Italian eatery North Italia. The new location joins four previously-opened Creamistry locations in Southlake, Addison, Las Colinas, and Lower Greenville. The chain has massive plans to expand throughout the United States and beyond in the coming years, with more than 200 new locations currently in the works." - Amy McCarthy

Creamistry is such a cool ice cream concept. Went here with 6 people & we were all so disappointed!! Customer service was terrible. All their prices are incorrect on the big menu screens. I had chocolate with added banana but the banana was not mixed in at all, they just attempted to pile it on the top of my already melted, not even frozen chocolate ice cream. Half of them sliding off onto the counter before I even grabbed It. Another friend had the cashew milk dairy alternative cheesecake with Oreo & the ice cream itself tasted coagulated & chunky. The add in Oreo that was almost $1 EXTRA, was one single Oreo placed on the side for show. She had to attempt to crush it up herself. Finally just throwing it away because it was so terrible. They were out of brownies, brownie bites, chips ahoy cookies, & waffle pieces. One friend ordered the sea salt caramel crunch specials which was basically ice cream with an overload of whipped cream, topped with caramel. This was not sea salt caramel ice cream. The s’mores ice cream was not mixed at all. The marshmallows were just stacked on top of the ice cream. The large elemint was very layered as well. Nothing was mixed, at all. Everything is so overpriced! I’m shocked this place is still in business. The experience is cool but I would never recommend this place to anyone.

There was a bit of 20 min a wait, but it was cool to watch them get fancy with the nitrogen to make our orders during the wait. We paid before they made our orders, so I was a but shocked when, after the entire wait, an employee said they had ran out of banana cream, only for another employee right behind him to say, "no, it's right here", and handed me my shake; it was a weird interaction for sure. I think my drink was fine, but nothing to write home about. One thing I was really appreciative about was their extensive allergen menu, which they had PHYSICALLY on the counter and that impressed me since most places just have it online. It's just that, though the nitrogen gimmick was fun to watch, I don't think the actual taste of the drink was worth the wait and money we paid, even though it looked like they used quality ingredients, but maybe I was fooled by appearances and what the menu promises.

Late night sweet tooth stop. I've replaced my Baskin Robbins fudge brownie fix. Cool staff and while some reviews mentioned it being overpriced. It is. But hey, it's the experience at the end of the day. I highly enjoyed my selection. I parked in valet for a hot second (thanks Valet) for some other spot. Didn't get a chance to move until I finished my delightful dessert. I mean it's not Rocket Science, but they certainly have Ice Cream + Creamistry in order, ya dig!!! 😋 Yum.

I’ve cream was good. We had the s’mores and the captain crunch ones. But it wasn’t worth it for the price. The ice cream is over $6 for a small cup. Plus, they do not validate your parking ticket if you park in the garage so you also have to pay for parking. So we ended up paying $10 to park for our 15 minutes inside Creamistry. It’s just not a great location.

This place smells heavenly from the second you step inside. The parking situation can be tricky if it’s busy but nothing really is right now . We parked across the street and walked up past The Henry. They have a lot more than your traditional choices. They hopped on the nitro trend and it makes for a cool show while they prepare your ice cream. I opted for the Sea Salt Caramel Crunch but I will have to come back for the Party Animal! It stays cold while you eat it unlike other ice cream, hard to explain but definitely different. Very very creamy and I gotta say, worth the money.

DEAR CREAMISTRY, I LOVE YOUR ICE CREAM BUT I DON’T WANNA EAT FROM A FILTHY PLACE. Much like its sister location on Greenville, this location was filthy too. The staff were far more pleasant to deal with but I attribute this to the fact that all 5 of them had headphones in. If they were in their own worlds busting orders out I could get with that but the fact that there were only three orders in front of me and it took 15 mins to get mine.... well take the headphones out! They were busier than their sister location so maybe that is why it was filthy but if there is 5 people working; PSSSSST MANAGEMENT: send one to make sure the store is clean!

Holy molly! Where have I been! First time here and blown away. The fact that you can make any option into a vegan mooyah is just awesome. Of course, you can order dairy-based too. Then, you'll be amazed by how it all comes together with the nitrogen! Just go! Just.....

Wow. They make the ice cream right in front of you. This is the real deal. Cream, flavoring and cold. Then preston. Ice cream. It is very fresh and very high quality. It is melt-in-you-mouth good. It is also quite a shoe to watch them make it with the liquid nitrogen. The price is worth it. Check it out.
