The Best Coffee Shops in Denver | Eater Denver

"This true original, one of RiNo’s first hangouts, proudly brews with beans from a rotating roster of more than 20 local and national outfits, including New York’s Touchy Coffee and Onyx Coffee Lab in Arkansas. Speaking of pride, it’s rightly bullish on its kitchen, which turns out specials galore — from khachapuri with chile crisp to elaborate sandwiches like fried chicken on sourdough waffles with a fried egg, black garlic-maple mayo, and pickled jalapeños and onions. A few blocks away, Crema Bodega awaits at Denver Central Market." - Ruth Tobias

Bodega Review - Sunnyside - Denver - The Infatuation

"If every neighborhood had a spot like Bodega, the world would be a better place. That’s because people would be too busy feasting on gyros loaded with pepperoncini and banana bread pudding cups to worry about politics or whether or not people should wear socks with sandals (it’s a no, by the way). The fast-casual Bodega takes staples like cheeseburgers and breakfast sandwiches and makes the best possible versions, all with friendly service and a space that oozes retro ‘90s energy." - Allyson Reedy

Google
The matcha with their seasonal ube syrup is SO refreshing! I've never tried matcha or ube, so I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but I highly recommend you give it a try! I usually drink sweet chai, and they only have spicy chai, but I was happy to try something new 😊

Google
People who leave a bad reviews on this place are people who go to Starbucks for their daily cup. Amazing single origin coffee, drip was good, service was friendly enough considering they had an insanely long line, and prices were actually cheaper than I thought considering the location and quality. Id be happy to pay more for the exact same cup and service.

Google
They list the regular latte as 5.50, but any flavoring is +1$. An alt milk is also +1$, which is pretty normal. Overall my small hot mocha with oat, was 8.10$. That is a lot for something that isn’t super special to me, but if you’re out and about it may be worth it while walking around Rhino art district.

Google
Believe the hype! I stumbled upon this spot on TikTok when traveling in Denver, and I'm so happy I did. Between the three of us, we ordered A LOT and everything we ate was incredible. On top of the pastries, we also ordered some of the bowls for breakfast. I personally had a farmers bowl, and it was so fresh and a great serving size.

Google
I've been in America for 6 days and this is the first proper coffee I have had. THANK YOU ❤️

Google
I love the coffee shop at both locations. This morning I went to Crema Bodega in Denver Central Market. Every time I have gone, this today was no exception, I have had pleasant and enjoyable experiences. The baristas are friendly, hospitable, fast, and gifted. They’re so good at doing latte art. Crema’s one of my favorite vendors at Denver Central Market. They’re selling these cups, which I think they started doing some time after the pandemic began, so you don’t have to have drinks poured into disposable cups. Yay! And, I love supporting local businesses, and this coffee shop is one of them. I recommend going to Crema Bodega, whichever location is great.

Google
Hans and Noe are the best! They always give great service even when the line is long. Today they were busy and doing a great job. I buy my milk and eggs from here as well and they are my go to now for two of my grocery needs. I’m so glad to live nearby this coffee shop. Thank you for your awesome customer service skills and amazing coffee. 10 stars for the service!

Google
Got an iced americano and added ube and cream to it! Aesthetic and delicious coffee!

Yelp
Located inside Denver Central Market, Crema Bodega is one of your options for a caffeine-fix. They have a more simple drink menu, which is always nice for those of us (me!) that are a bit more indecisive when ordering. They also have some food options if you're looking for a bite to-go. Drinks were okay. Love chai, but wasn't the biggest fan of theirs. Let some to be desired. Service was okay. They were efficient but not the friendliest here. Overall, if I was at the Denver Central Market and wanted some coffee, I'd return. But this wouldn't be my first choice for coffee in the area.

Yelp
I ordered an oat latte and it was DELICIOUS. Love that it's located inside Denver Central Market- you can order from different vendors and enjoy a lovely meal in this beautiful space Service was excellent!
google avatar

Jesse M.

Yelp
Coffee was amazing. Service was friendly and fast. I appreciate the coffee didn't immediately burn my tongue off. Cute set up, I enjoyed it very much.
google avatar

Kristi M.

Yelp
This is located inside of Denver central market and I don't know how this spot misses because the crema down the street is a five star experience. The coffee was mid at best. I would walk a few blocks and go to the brick and mortar location.
google avatar

Kevlyn M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our drinks here and the wait was not bad at all! We wanted to go to this market for coffee and pastries and this place truly did not disappoint,. Perfectly paired with a pastry from Izzio.
google avatar

Olivia W.

Yelp
Great coffee! Black coffee (especially lower quality beans) tends to be very bitter but this was perfect! It was smooth and light while still had the taste of black coffee. I had this with very sweet pastries from Izzio's bakery and this was perfect for cutting the sugar. The cashier was very kind and friendly and made small talk while getting my drink which was very nice. All staff seemed happy to be there! The whole market has such a cute interior. I loved the whole environment and it is such a great place to get food with friends!

Yelp
I ordered an iced latte with caramel and almond milk. The caramel is house made. Staff was super friendly. I know add ons are extra however $7 was a little much for the size of a "large". It was delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
This café is located in The Denver Central Market in the RINO neighborhood. The service was not much different than any other café that I've been to. You simply walk up, place your order, wait, and pick up your order once your name/beverage is called. I got the matcha latte which had cute latte art on top. It was tasty as expected. Good place for a pick me up.
google avatar

Yelp
Not a fan, the atmosphere was wonderful but the coffee was not good. It tasted bitter and burnt. In fairness I am from Seattle area so I'm kind of a coffee snob... Before you immediately think of Starbucks let me just say, they are terrible too. We have so many independent coffee roasters it's just really hard to beat. I would say in general many people might like this more then I did, but for me it was a no thank you
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
Cute and quick stop for coffee at The Denver Central Market. Service was quick! Love that they keep out classic syrup to adjust your own sweetness. I usually get almond milk with my lattes but they were out in due to the ongoing supply issue. They also don't use straws which is fine since they offer slip lids. I love how conscious they are about the environment and putting it to action.
google avatar

Liz M.

Yelp
Stopped into Denver Central Market for a coffee and some food. Ordered an iced vanilla latte, waited about 10 mins to receive my drink. It was pretty good, in my opinion it could have used a little more sweetness but everyone is different! I love the aesthetic of the shop and that they offer merchandise as well.
google avatar

Darya S.

Yelp
Ugh wow, the coffee here is amazing. I got a latte and it was so rich and dreamy! It tasted like a cloud in my mouth. I appreciate that they have honey and oat milk out for grabs instead of charging for it. Sweet staff, too. Keep in mind that this is located in the central market with a bunch of other vendors, so it's not its own brick-and-mortar, but that makes it a fun walkthrough.
google avatar

Rozy M.

Yelp
The coffee was ok, nothing great. The lady who took my order was so rude. I hate to give a small business bad reviews but the first person you talk to is definitely representative of your service standards.
google avatar

Adrianna S.

Yelp
Cute little coffee spot in Denver Central Markey. E tried the cold brew on tap- delicious. Everyone was super friendly and fast service
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
I love this market place. It has such an eclectic group of food and drink. If you can't find something to eat and drink in this market, then you need to get a life. I was looking for something healthy to drink and found a special kombucha. I was talking to Zola about this particular kombucha and she had never had it before. So when I opened it I made sure that I gave her a sample. It has now become my favorite. My interactions with Koy was also good. I love this area I love this market and I love just walking around being outside and checking out the day and the nightlife. Step outside, walk around the District because they have some great wall art. I WOULD highly recommend the market and this place was really cute.

Yelp
Fantastic house espresso. Smooth and clean. The Ethiopian beans gave it a delicious fruitiness. The last sip tasted like a bowlful of beautiful berries.
google avatar

Stephen H.

Yelp
Lots of choices available here and fast service. They even have wifi which is great considering they are one of many stalls in the Denver Central Market.

Yelp
Met up with a friend for coffee at Denver Central Market, and Crema Bodega is the most natural option... It's right there when you walk in!! I got a latte that was quite tasty. Nothing special in terms of drink or service, but I'd come here again. Feels like a place easy to frequent and be a regular at. That's always the dream, isn't it?
google avatar

Paige G.

Yelp
Some of the best coffee I've had in Denver. Espresso is masterfully pulled and all of the drinks are made perfectly. I go out of my way to come here because of how good it is. The staff is also lovely and happy to chat about the coffee they're serving (thank you David!).
google avatar

Russ H.

Yelp
I started becoming a coffee snob sometime last year. Before then, I frequented Starbucks multiple times per day. Then something clicked, and I began to develop a taste for different flavor notes in my espressos. I noticed when the milk wasn't frothed properly. I got a little too excited when the latte art turned out nicely. All this to say, I think Crema just made me the best latte I've ever had. Smooth, delicious, perfectly balanced. I'm so glad I stopped in, and so sad that there isn't one near me.
google avatar

Zoe B.

Yelp
$5 for an iced latte with oat milk. Strong coffee with a bold and not very acidic flavor but a little small for $5.
google avatar

Khalid S.

Yelp
Great oat cortado pour. Loved the sustainability of both this spot and the whole market. Lots of reusable stuff. Staff quirky and messaging open minded. Price reasonable too.
google avatar

Mandie F.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop stall in food hall in the midst of the Rhino Art District. Very friendly and helpful barista. They make all their syrups in house and offer coffee in two sizes a medium or large but put two shots of espresso in both. Their coffee is delicious and some of the best I had in Denver. They use local beans from other roasters. Not much of a vibe or decor as it isn't a shop on its own in its own space. Their location also has a snack section and cooler with some drinks in it but the barista will run and get whatever you want from it. One barista was running and trying to greet and let every customer who walked up and to the cooler know if they wanted anything he would get it for them as they seemed to have a very strict no contact policy. Coffee art was pretty good a to go cup and a fast pour.

Yelp
Visiting a friend in Denver she told me that the Denver Central Market was a must. As soon as we got there she told me I had to start with Crema Bodega and for the very first time I tried a latte with oat milk. OH. MAN. This honestly changed my life and took my coffee loving experience to another level. I quickly asked them where they got the milk from/the brand and found that Targets and Whole Foods tend to carry it in NC. The latte was so good I had to get another before I left that day and made it my mission to go each morning during my visit. People are super nice and it's pretty quick to get your drink once it's ordered. I highly recommend you give it a try.
google avatar

Julian L.

Yelp
Crema is one of the finest coffee shops in Denver, and if you're in the Market building, now there's a full service Crema drink counter with a few shelves of convenience store type goods. It's pretty handy - they even have a snack I can eat! (Celiac, tree nuts free, etc)... and toothpaste. In case you're stranded in RiNo, I guess, and your scooter app left you hanging. Nice selection of fresh pounds of beans. Great service.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
Crema Bodega was a great spot to get a kombucha to accompany my crab and avocado toast. They had 3 options on tap and I tried the pink lady (Apple) kombucha suggested by the lovely lady working. It was one of the best kombuchas I've had.
google avatar

Tara D.

Yelp
This little coffee shop is right in the middle of VIBE CITY. Inside Denver central market it is pure hipster. I ordered a dirty Chai and was perfectly content with my order. I love finding places that have a spicy chai as opposed to a sweet chai. This was exactly that. I love the big windows and flowing greenery around the coffee bar. It's a nice place to grab a coffee if your in the building, though it's not impressive enough to seek out by itself. RiNo vibes definitely brought this place up!
google avatar

Ingrid P.

Yelp
If you are exploring the RiNO area and need a caffeine boost, stop by and grab a cup of high-quality coffee! Their espresso is not acidic and very smooth. Pair their drink with a pastry from Izzio bakery (right across the coffee bar) and you will have a happy marriage of flaky buttery goodness and smooth caffeinated liquid.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this coffee shop. I stop in on my way to work almost every single day since February , and by March I already had a "usual". They were recently closed down for a little bit on construction for a couple days and I had to go to other coffee places and not even the drip coffee at other nearby coffee places was as good as Cremas! The staff there is by far more than amazing! And it's so nice to have take the time to actually recognize you and ask how you're doing every morning :) If you haven't been here, you need to!

Rachel R.

Yelp
I have been trying a new coffee shop every week and I appreciate that this place does not charge an extra $1 for oat milk. It was $3.50 for an oat milk latte. Every other place I have gone is $6.50 plus the coffee tastes just as good.

Ashley S.

Yelp
I love Crema!! 85 characters, really, yelp? Also why say you love the coffee and then leave 3 stars?
google avatar

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Friendly, hipster and delicious. What else do you need from a coffee spot. Located in the Denver Central Market it gives you tons of options to grab a nice meal whilst enjoying your yummy latte. I love that you can also walk outside and enjoy graff art at Crush Walls in the alley or the giant Shep Fairey piece outside of the building.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Great little coffee place located in an eatery. Average prices and offerings. Friendly, convenient and offers alternative milk products.
google avatar

Gen W.

Yelp
This place is great! My almond milk chai latte was delicious and was made quickly. I was disappointed that they do not serve soy milk though. I loved the overall design of the building that this was in. This is a great place for a group coffee on a weekday or just a get together with a friend because one person can get food or any of the other things covered by the other restauranteur while the other is having coffee.
google avatar

Caine K.

Yelp
Best cappuccino around... it's the perfect serving size and it's located next to Izzio bakery! You can get equal amounts sugar and caffeine to get you acting real stupid first thing in the morning
google avatar

Megan R.

Yelp
Pretty good! I like working at Denver Central Market every so often and this is the spot to get a solid cup of coffee. I'm a fan of Crema's other location just down the street, and this one is every bit as charming. The "bodega" part of this coffee shop is full of super useful things like tylenol and t-shirts in case you're just passing through (although RiNo is nowhere near the airport). Feeling snacky? They've got yogurt and other little snack items for munching! The staff has always been pretty friendly to me. I've gotten a kombucha here that sort of overflowed when I opened it, and the barista was kind enough to give me another one. You can kind of stay here all day and head to one of the other Denver Central Market vendors for lunch, dinner, drinks, etc. I'm a fan!
google avatar

Hayden P.

Yelp
In Denver Central Market in RiNo, Crema does a mean cappuccino.
google avatar

Kimberly I.

Yelp
What is this dreamy place. I cannot leave The Denver Central Market without stopping here. For some people they HAVE to get ice cream or a perfectly made chocolate. For me, it is all in the small latte extra foam. The espresso here is so smooth it will make you wonder how you ever drink any other coffee drink at all. Crema needs to build a location right next to my home so I can start every day off right with a steamy cup of their magical brew. I will note they don't go out of their way to be super friendly like most of the other vendors, but it may just take much concentration to steam the milk just right. They also sell several different coffees by the bag as well as other treats for the coffee lover. Never walk by Crema without stopping. You will be doing yourself a disservice.
google avatar

Rhonda S.

Yelp
Pretty latte, smooth flavor. Reasonable priced. Lots of great food around to pair it with
google avatar

Sam D.

Yelp
Today my friend and I stopped over the grab two cans of yerba on the way out of the central market. The guy working grabbed them for us and as he was checking us out rather rudely asked if we wanted to leave a tip. We know times are hard but he hardly did anything for us but grab two cans out of a refrigerator so we obviously hesitated. He then continued to tell us that the Yerbas are more expensive across the street so.... honestly was really awkward and a bad vibe.

Alyssa H.

Yelp
This had a good chai tea which I really enjoyed. My sister though did not like the macha as it had way too much macha in it.
google avatar

Tiffany N.

Yelp
Crema Bodga - an outpost of the ever-so-popular Crema Coffee House - is pretty much the first thing you see when you walk into the Denver Central Market. To be honest I'm a little surprised by the reviews that mention bad service because I've probably been here a half a dozen times in the last month or so and have only experience friendly baristas, which is saying a lot because I often have to order decaf drinks due to my current state of affairs (affairs meaning that I'm pregnant and have to sadly limit my caffeine intake.) This little shop offers coffee of course, but also a strange variety of other items - milk, eggs, butter, yogurt, bulk coffee, coffee brewing equipment, magazines and bike tubes. The coffee is still delicious, even the decaf version, and so I imagine I'll find myself here another half dozen times in the next month as well.

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
Good coffee and fun atmosphere to grab your morning cup of joe, however the barista staff couldn't be bothered to be working there or take orders. Really unpleasant experience with the employees. I was not greeted or thanked, and had just the bare minimum interaction possible. I wouldn't return for this sole fact.
google avatar

Dan C.

Yelp
Great coffee and even better service! The remodel looks awesome! It's clear the staff takes pride in their establishment and product they serve, as evidenced by the high quality drinks and delicious customer service. ;) Highly recommend. P.S. Espresso to go? Who does that?
google avatar

A A.

Yelp
I love the crema coffee house and the people and energy there. I thought this is the same at this location. Lately I had 2 incidents were people were so unfriendly - or better very rude - to me there that I decided not to go there anymore. The same happened to a co-worker... The location is great but I doesn't help if you are being served a coffee and being addressed in the rudest way possible while just asking to have it to go.
google avatar

Theron L.

Yelp
I've only gotten their nitrogen pulled cold brew iced coffee here but I'm a huge fan. I love all three varieties of their iced coffee with the sumptown being my favorite. The only reason I don't give them an "as good as it gets" 5 star review is because I was spoiled by another small brazillian run coffee shop which poured their organic fair trade single variatal nitrogen pulled iced coffee over ice cubes made of the same iced coffee. They only had one variety of coffee they used for their iced coffee though and they are unfortunately a little far to be convenient (around 1252 miles away). If crema ever does this I will give them 5 (and if possible 6) stars! I don't even want to think about how long the lines will get if they do!
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
The Crema Coffeehouse people, up on 2862 Larimer, have been pretty great every time we've gone in there. By all means, go check that place out. On the other hand, the Crema Bodega in the new Denver Central Market sucks, sucks, sucks. Avoid it. Here's why: The staff are rude, unhelpful, and possess the customer-service skills of donkeys. You can ask for a cappuccino your way, and you will be curtly told that they "only make it one way." Are you a fan of Italian-style dry cappuccini? You're out of luck, because what this place will serve you will be a small, wet café latte instead. Do you want your coffee to go? Too bad: They believe their product too precious to put in to-go cups. I'm not exaggerating, I swear. They could make their particularity a selling point, I suppose, by being very friendly and posting all this information in advance. Yet they neither post it, nor are they friendly. At the Crema Bodega, it's all about the baristas' egos, customer be damned. Are you listening, Crema Coffeehouse? Fire those people and start over.
google avatar

Bianca S.

Yelp
Love this cute spot! They have a good selection of milk alternatives too. Service is quick and drinks are always delish.
google avatar

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
They're super friendly here and have the best cold brew in Denver. Bonus: it's located inside Denver Central Market!
