Where To Eat In The Middle Of The Day In Paris

"Did you even go to France if you didn’t eat a crepe? Sure, they’re from Brittany, and you’re 300 miles away in Paris, but crepes are an objectively perfect meal, and Crêperie Gigi is where you should have one. In addition to non-stop service, Gigi also works for people with dietary restrictions, which isn’t the case at many Parisian restaurants. All the buckwheat crepes are gluten-free, there’s a vegan option with plant-based cheese, and our favorite item just so happens to be vegetarian, with  sweet goat cheese, confit onions, with apples, spinach, nuts, and honey. We got the speculous crepes, with cinnamon apples, biscoff topping and whipped cream. AMAZING. The lady that took our order also made the food, she was sooo kind to us. We are going back before we leave, that’s how good it was 🤌🏻

Google
Delicious! The woman who greeted me and the waiter were both so lovely. Super cute inside and very popular with locals working nearby. I had the egg, Comte and mushroom galette and it was excellent.

Google
It was not the best that we had last time we were in Paris. Reviews don’t match the Galettes. Hospitality was great though

Google
First meal after landing here and it didn’t disappoint. Both buckwheat crepes we tried were great

Google
Perfect for our last day in Paris. The hostess is a delight. The atmosphere was wonderful. There is an option of having sweet and/or savory crepes. I had a sweet crepe with pear, roasted almonds, vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Delicious!

A marvel of simplicity and taste. Buckwheat galettes were superb. The service was wonderful and the owner was charming.

Google
Easily one of the best crepes I’ve had in my life. I had the seasonal crepe which was: mint-infused strawberries, lemon sorbet, red fruit coulis, chocolate and icing sugar. I’m a chocolate lover but I thought I had to try this as it looked so interesting. I thought the lemon sorbet may have been odd with chocolate but it really was so delicious. The flavors tied together very nicely. I wish I had 2!

Yelp
Wow what a great restaurant. Great views of Paris you can see the effiel tower from the patio. Great menu with lots of good options. Service was great and they had live music and entertainment. Highly recommend, can't wait to come back.

Yelp
The food here was fantastic, and the live singer added a really nice touch to the atmosphere. But the service? A bit odd. At the end of the meal, the waiter went ahead and added a 20% tip without asking, which felt really off-putting, especially considering France has different tipping customs. I get that tips are appreciated, but it's always polite to ask first. Overall, the food and music were great, but that unexpected tip situation left a bad taste.

Yelp
Warning: My wife and I both got food poisoning from this restaurant, otherwise 3.5 stars. We both shared beef crudo, eggplant parm, linguini with clams and short rib pasta - all tasted good, not great. I got a glass of red that had residue in it (which may have led to the food poisoning... not sure). Definitely overpriced but not crazy considering the location. We made a note for a table outside but did not receive it. Inside was nice and they had good music. I thought service was good, although they seemed to be rushing us to order.

Yelp
Excellent. The ambiance, food and service were all superb. I would recommend this place and would go again. I got the lobster pasta and my husband the carbonara. We also got some calamari and dessert for our celebration. The music was a nice touch with the view.

Yelp
Gigi Paris, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the beautiful city of lights, provided me with an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped foot into this exquisite establishment, I knew I was in for something special. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the breathtaking views of the iconic Eiffel Tower. Gigi Paris boasts a prime location, offering a panoramic vista that captures the sheer magnificence of this architectural wonder. Witnessing the tower's enchanting lights twinkling against the night sky was a sight that left me in awe. The ambiance created by the tower's presence enhanced my dining experience and added an extra touch of magic to the evening. Speaking of dining, the food at Gigi Paris exceeded all my expectations. The menu featured a remarkable blend of traditional French cuisine and modern gastronomic innovations. Each dish was artfully presented and meticulously prepared, showcasing the culinary mastery of the talented chefs. From delicate starters to indulgent main courses and delectable desserts, every bite was a delight for the senses. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients used were of the highest quality, ensuring a truly exceptional dining experience. The attentive and knowledgeable staff at Gigi Paris further contributed to the overall excellence of the establishment. They were friendly, accommodating, and passionate about providing exceptional service. The waitstaff was well-versed in the intricacies of the menu, readily offering recommendations and answering any questions. Their professionalism and warm hospitality elevated my dining experience to new heights. The attention to detail and commitment to excellence at Gigi Paris are apparent in every aspect of the establishment. The tastefully decorated interior exuded elegance and sophistication, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The combination of dimmed lighting, soothing music, and tasteful decor created a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for romantic dinners or celebratory gatherings.

Yelp
Another restaurant that is very hot right now and lived up to its reviews. The reviews that state - the food isn't the best, but the ambience and charm make up for it... The service is very good, there was live, lounge type music. Great views of the city, some views of the Eiffel Tower...

Georgia R.

Yelp
The only thing Gigi has going for it - the views. This place is so overhyped. The server screwed up our order, brought the cocktails halfway through our meal. She was rude and indifferent. I would not waste your time here when there are so many incredible options in Paris.

Yelp
Great view, gorgeous restaurant, not good food. If you dont axtually love eating and just want a cool place to go, could be for you. If you're in paris for great food, skip Gigi.

Yelp
Very disappointing! First of all the entire experience is like a factory. When you arrive you have to wait in line to catch an elevator to the restaurant. The elevator only holds four people so it is a bit of an overwhelming experience to begin your night. We sat at our outside table which was to be a view of the Eiffel Tower, except there was no view of the Eiffel Tower. To get a presentable photo of the Eiffel Tower you had to wiggle your way to the serving station and hold your camera strategically through the trees to obtain a photo. Our waiter arrived at our table and we ordered our cocktails. We then wanted an appetizer to relax and debrief from the day. We were told we had to order appetizer, dinner and dessert at the same time! Another reason why I felt like it was a factory....they can relegate your table time and just bring the food as they see fit. The customer doesn't matter. I kindly asked if we could just order our appetizer as we haven't looked at the entree choices. He gave us a hard time but said he would do it. We then never saw our server again unless we tracked him down. We had to track him down to give him our dinner order and then our food did not arrive until an hour later....a total game. We ordered a pizza and the ravioli to share, and honestly, it was on par with Olive Garden food with the price tag of a fine dining establishment. I think it is a tourist trap that is run like a factory and they are taking advantage of everyone who visits their restaurant!!

Yelp
There was a strong odor in the place that was an odd mix of chemicals and sewage. It was almost like the toilets backed up and they tried to nuke it with cleaning products. One of the least pleasant experiences on our trip.

Yelp
Incredible. Fresh, fresh, fresh ingredients, mixed in the best proportions. They have and interesting flavor mixing at this spot, and I love it. The crêpes were better here than at some of the "Best Crêpe" List choices I have had. The staff is unreal nice, which can be difficult to find for tourists in Paris. I would 110% encourage you to try this place. AND it is SO clean!!!

Yelp
The service here is terrible! Would not advise going here at all. There are other restaurants with better service. Will make your experience horrible.

Yelp
A lovely crepe shop. I ordered the honey crepe, which seemed a bit plain compared to what my friends ordered. One of my friends ordered a crepe that was lit on fire. I'll definitely return here the next time I visit Paris to try other crepes.

Yelp
We happened along this place and was more than pleasantly surprised with the food, atmosphere and service. Younes, our server/bartender was all around amazing. He gave us recs on places to party and shop! Laure, the owner, was the sweetest! She made my sister a Kir which my little sister actually downed! Gigi's decor and atmosphere was so cute. So glad we stumbled upon this place. We can't stop raving about the dessert crepes we inhaled, the mocha, caramel (my fav) and caramel pommes. We will def check out its sister restaurants while we are in town!

Yelp
BAG STOLEN WHILE EATING OUTSIDE OF GIGi's -BE CAREFUL!!!! The food is excellent - we loved it. However, at 1:00 pm on a sunny Friday - my son had a small backpack with a camera, etc in it. He had it right next to his chair on ground. We were sitting on the far table to left and both of us were sitting with our backs to sidewalk behind. I had my bag on chair next to me. While we were eating someone sneaked up and grabbed his bag. He said he thought a guy was taking a cigarette break behind us. I did not notice. The waiters were sympathetic but admitted this has happened before. BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL if you eat there- a university nearby and lots of young kids. The food is excellent- the crepes divine- but clearly this is a bad neighborhood for theft!!!

Yelp
This was by far our best meal in Paris. In town for a week, had a chance to visit Michelin-starred restaurants, and of everywhere we ate, this was the most memorable. Intimate, cozy dining room, good service, and impeccable crepes. The savory one I had with shiitake mushrooms was heavenly. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
We were trying to get into Le Barav but it was too busy.. LUCKY for us we tried Gigi afew doors down as it looked quaint and inviting. The best service and the BEST crepes I have ever had! Savory Crepe #1: Soft cheese, and ham and Savory Crepe #2- burrata, roasted tomato, arugula, and pine nuts. Both delicious crepes and then we had 2 sweet crepes of banana and caramel with vanilla ice cream and the other was dark and white chocolate with dark chocolate ice cream and whipped cream with cookie topping. Pure heaven. Cant wait to come back!!

Yelp
Solid creperie in the upper Marais for when you're over Breizh and the long line/wait. So cute, facing the square, and great for solo dining. I had a cbs for desert and a complete for dinner. Both excellent, though not *quite* as good as Breizh, but getting there.

Yelp
Went to Gigi's 3x in 48 hours and brought new friends each time. We highly recommend it! Speculoos for sweet and Burratina for savory were our top picks.

Yelp
I was wandering around with my wife and daughter after visiting some of the Parisian museums, and we came across the Gigi creperie. We were welcomed warmly, and we enjoyed a comfortable atmosphere, good food, and good drinks. My savory crepe was a wonderful combination of flavors, with sautéed onions adding a bit of sweetness to the piquant flavors of sausage, emmental cheese, and mustard à l'ancienne on a crisped buckwheat crepe. I finished it off with a snifter of eau de vie, which got a brief hesitation from our server, but she brought it anyway, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Yelp
If and when I ever go back to Paris... this will be one of the very first places I will visit. The crepes were delicious, ambiance was great... and the owner was so kind.

Yelp
Crepes were phenomenal. Our family sampled 4 types for the main course and 2 others for dessert. All 6 were delicious. Add in two bottles of wine and a great atmosphere and this is is MUST DO stop in République. Someone had previously posted not kid friendly. Don't be fooled. No kids menu but plenty of choices for them.

Yelp
We were so happy with our experience here! The savory galettes and the sweet crepes were all great. The waitress was incredibly sweet and offered to help us with the menu throughout and to help us customize for my friend who can't eat meat. It was an adorable place, great music and atmosphere and such a pleasant experience. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Very friendly chef and waiter and amazing savory crepes in the tiny shop. Walked in when they opened on a Sunday at 11:30am and had a great experience.

Yelp
We were rudely turned away from Breizh cafe and needed another option. This place had a great table for 7 and delicious crepes and warm helpful service. Glad we found this place. Everyone in our party was happy and finished all of their food.
