Google
The crepes are good here, the current covid practices make ordering a bit cumbersome and the time to fulfill orders is a little long. The menu is wrong and limited much of the time there are NO GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS although the menu suggests there are. Would eat again, wouldnt go out of my way to do it.

Google
Used to love this place but it really missed the mark last night. The crepe the kid made me appeared to be sitting there a while. He made a fresh one but it topped it for someone else. (No one else was around, which should have been a sign I suppose.) While the box felt warm when I received it, it was cold upon biting into it 5 minutes later. Very disappointed. You do one thing, so do it the best.

Google
They got good crepes. However, after waiting for 30 minutes I was told my order needs another 30 minutes. All I ordered was 7 crepes and i was the only one. Now I understand it may take longer to make big orders, but at least let me know before hand.

My friend and I decided to eat at Crêpes à la Cart after our campus tour at Tulane University. The employee was helpful and told us the popular crêpes that they serve. We both ordered the crêpe à la chocolate, and it was delicious! This is a great hole in the wall restaurant. I definitely recommend eating here!!

Google
Around the corner of Tulane University, this is an unexpected hole in the wall type of eatery. There is almost no seating place inside, there are tables that are shared with the adjacent restaurants. The service was quick and crepes were tasty. The price is reasonable.

Honestly the people who served us were incredibly rude…and probably racist. The food was super mid, which was disappointing because it’s hard to mess up crepes. 3/6 Update after response to original review- Thank you for your time writing this reply. It seems like the reply focuses more on trying to save their butts rather than actually apologizing to us directly. This was literally my first negative review on Google dealing with customer service just to let you all know how upset I really was. There was nothing accommodating about the service. The fact that they even remembered who we were speaks a lot about how bad the experience was because I did not go into detail. They did not happily give us a box. The girl that was working THREW the box on the counter rather than handling it to us and looked irritated after we asked. That’s why I got mad. She also did not bother to put the crepe in the box for us even though she had gloves, resulting in the crepe leaking all over my hand. The people before us got a smile, good service, and everything she described, but we got a mid experience. If they could tell that we were mad, they did nothing to make the situation better. I was so upset I did not say thank you which I always do. I simply said good night and walked out because I did not want to cause a scene. I understand that we all have bad days, but I came to the conclusion that I did only after my experience, and it was not a good one indeed.

Google
Kevin and the Crepe truck were awesome! He was easy to work with, responsive, and the crepes were out of this world. The truck is a cool vintage Ford truck, and the ordering was easy and the crepes arrive sliding down a chute which was fun. Really excellent all around!

Google
Lexi and Abby were so lovely. Not only were the crepes delicious, but they also made a dog-friendly crepe for my puppy, which was so sweet. We both loved our crepes, and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Overall good experience. The crepe (Funky French Monkey) was really tasty, and I couldn't finish the whole thing. The whole menu looked really good. The counter space to order is really small, and then you hang out outside. It's funny that it's right next to The Boot. I can't imagine trying to get a crepe on a weekend night haha. Service was fine. Just one girl working, and she was professional and efficient.

Yelp
This place is SO good! I've gotten the cookie butter and the smores with cookie butter instead of Nutella both were amazing! S'mores was better though lol. My husband gets the Nutella and cookie butter combo and it's his fav dessert.

Yelp
Love the crepes! Perfectly cooked. Perfectly filled. After i ate one. I bought another. Then went and got another. So good.

Yelp
This place is an enigma to me. They rarely seem open, even fewer times do I see them with anyone actually standing there and ordering anything. I get that it's on the edge of campus, and next to a bar, but there are lots of other (presumably) more filling option in the area to go to. The staff are pretty indifferent to whether you want to give them money or not, and their through-the-window COVID (?) protections seem extreme. It's a slow process, even if you're the only one there, and even if you're just getting cinnamon and sugar on yours. If you like crepes, and you don't mind waiting, it's a good crepe. It comes in a little pizza-slice style box, and if you ask nicely, they might even give you a napkin or two to wipe your face with later. Is it the best fast-food style crepe I've ever had? No. Is it the best in NOLA? Also no. Is it good enough to walk over there if you're craving one and hope that they're open? Yes. Probably even better if you're drunk and already void of some taste buds.

Felecia V.

Yelp
To be honest, this was my first time trying a crepe. I was not completely blown away, but I could see these being a desperation treat (like after I'm drunk). Customers are not allowed in because of COVID, so the waiter/employee took our orders at the window. His tone was a little dry but I cannot give a full review on customer service. The interaction was pretty brief. I tried the Caramel Nut Brownie. Now, they informed us that some of the crepe options were out because of Hurricane Zeta. But they didn't inform us that any of the ingredients for ours were out. When I finally looked at my crepe, there was no caramel drizzle. The taste was a bit strange. The crepe was very thick and soft. There was a good amount of chocolate and nuts. The angel food cake was just odd, but I do not know what I was expecting there. Overall, I'm unsure how I feel about my first crepe experience. I give it 3 stars only because I do not know how a crepe is supposed to taste, but I do know that I was not too happy about this. I'll update my review when I try a crepe elsewhere.

Braden S.

Yelp
Lexi and Abby made fire crepes. They are the goats of this business. Great vibes. Everyone at Tulane should go get a crepe after a night out
google avatar

Patricia R.

Yelp
I ordered expecting curbside service, but the employee I called when I arrived just didn't sound like he was "into it". I had to get out and walk to the window which was no big deal, just not what was promised. My crepe was good, but I ordered Nutella, banana and chocolate chips and couldn't taste the Nutella. I'm pretty sure it was left out. This girl knows her Nutella. I'll probably be back at some point and will update my review if things change.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
This is a college-y crepe place, one which offers a wide variety of options. Service wasn't overly efficient when I visited, and I wonder if the scope of the menu created some "analysis paralysis" for me, as I ended up with a chocolate nut brownie crepe that had angel food cake in it, which frankly I wasn't expecting. It was sweet and all, but honestly cake in a crepe is unnecessary. There isn't much in the way of seating there; more of a takeout window really. Worth noting that the hours are generous, and they operate at local events.

Yelp
Omgosh my absolute favorite dessert spot ever ! They hit ever time Nutella & Mixed Berries (Strawberry and Bananas )
google avatar

Natasha H.

Yelp
Let's start by me saying I love a good crêpe! So as I'm visiting New Orleans and of course had to have a Crêpe and visited Crêpes à la Cart. Be warned, it's a small spot and you can't eat in there but there is a bar attached that has outside seating; so eat there. The lady taking orders and making the Crêpes was very nice and fun to talk to. She did a good job making my crêpe but there was toooooo much Nutella and I just couldn't finish the crêpe. Other than that, I'd return and I recommend this place!
google avatar

Lan N.

Yelp
They have so many choices from savory to sweets. I got the chocolate dream. It was a little too sweet for me and the not enough bananas. I love the little bits of coconuts in between though. The crepe itself was the perfect amount. It wasn't too thick or too thin.

Miguel S.

Yelp
Hired the Crepes truck for a wedding party. It was everything we could ask for! The crepes were delicious, of course, but the whole experience was top notch from start to finish! Communication was prompt, detailed and accurate. Kevin was enthusiastic and very committed to his business. The truck is a classic; and my guests raved about the food, the truck and the setup. I would definitely hire Crepes a la Cart again.

Yelp
Crepes were really good, the wait was kind of long since it was on a school day and it's right by Tulane.

Yelp
Awesome crepes and many different types!!!! You gotta get one of these!!!! I went to one at the French Market.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
My Mom and I got crepes for dinner from the truck while at the sculpture garden at City Park. They were slammed with orders but were hustling to get everyone's orders out. I had the crepe Italian with mozzarella, tomatoes and basil. Tomatoes could have been riper but it was very satisfying. Mom had the SBT, spinach, bacon and tomato and gobbled it up so she must have been happy. I couldn't find a separate listing for the crepe truck vs. the bricks and mortar. The big difference is obviously location and the truck has only a small selection of the full menu.
google avatar

Jeido J.

Yelp
Pretty sub par crepes near a popular local bar. The crepe dough is super thick and kinda tough. Fillings were tasty enough but it's hard to go wrong with Nutella. I wouldn't recommend this place for like lunch or anything, but if your out for a drink and need a snack it will do.
google avatar

Shazia W.

Yelp
Love these crepes!!! Every single Festival that I attend I MUST get a crepe. I mean how can you not? I always forget that they have the location on broadway. I always get the banana and nutella crepe. The combo is just perfect!!! This spot is extremely small tho I will say that. It is kind of like a grab and go, Customer service is good, and they have 2 tables that you can sit at outside to enjoy your delicious crepe. What more can you ask for as you're trying to chow down your crepe so that the nutella isn't dripping all over your face and fingers!!! Highly recommend. Parking is kind of a pain, free for all--street parking, but hey you gotta do what you gotta do! The crepe is soo worth it!!
google avatar

Yelp
These unleavened, stale pancakes do not deserve to be called crepes. They are thick, floury and completely tasteless. Only a heavily inebriated college student would accept such an abomination. To be honest though, my standards for the crepes were quite low to begin with so the true dealbreaker was the fact that my subpar "crepe" was served WITHOUT the sauce I ordered and paid extra for. Abundant sauce is pretty much the only true form of redemption for bland food so it's lacking did not go without notice. My boyfriend even called to ensure that there would be sauce, but alas, there was none. Very disappointed. At least there's no way to mess up Nutella so the Nutella "crepe" was aight (although I mostly ended up just scooping the chocolate out of the "crepe")

Yelp
Returned today because we were still craving crepes since last night and they were super busy then. This is the best time of day to go there! Early evening! The young man who took my order and made our crepes was so friendly and helpful! I got a crepe filled with bananas, butter and Chantilly creme. Well it's not low carb for sure but I deserve a treat every now and then. There are lots of varieties to choose from ... savory and sweet! Go get you some!

Brandler C.

Yelp
I worked with Kevin and his team on a large event we had in New Orleans. I was scrambling last minute to find food for the event and Kevin was responsive, helpful and ensured all event details were locked in and finalized. The day of went extremely smooth and everything was set up and ready to go before our 1000 guests arrived. The food was a hit and the guests raved about the crepes! I so appreciate Kevin's hard working attitude, positivity and professionalism when helping me with my event. I could not recommend crepes a la carte more!! they are the perfect addition to your special event. Brooke D. Event Planner

Yelp
This is usually where I choose when it's my turn to pick where we're eating dinner. There's nowhere to sit, they aren't open very often, and it's a little slow, but it's worth the wait.
google avatar

Katie D.

Yelp
I cannot even say enough about how amazing our son's bar mitzvah party was, thanks to the crew at Crepes a la Cart! They were so easy to communicate with, and the whole process of booking was seamless. The night of the event, they were a huge hit with our guests! The crepes were awesome and they had a super quick turnaround for orders - guests didn't ever have to wait and they were all delicious. We got so many compliments on their servers and their crepes, guests were raving. The servers were kind and accommodating and just a joy to do business with. We will definitely be booking them for my daughter's bat mitzvah in a couple years!

Nonc N.

Yelp
I've eaten from here before and the crepes are really good. The issue I've been having is that they do not keep regular hours, even up to the point of not being open when their own website says that they are open. Not sure what's going on, but there is nothing worse than craving some great crepes, checking the website, seeing that CALC says they are open, driving out to their spot, and them not being open.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
The crepes were good but the process of getting them was ridiculous. The signs on the door said to order online, they'd notify you when your order was ready, and to please call when you arrive to pickup your order. That's fine. What's not fine is that we waited the half hour prep time, called from outside, waited outside the door (which has windows so the people inside could see us), and called two more times. At least three signs on the door said to call. But each time I called I went to voicemail (yes, I left a voicemail). We waited at least an extra half hour before I finally knocked (despite all the signs insistently instructing us to just call). A very annoyed person opened the door and got us our order. Our crepes were cold by the time we got them. The best part is that we got a text three hours later telling us that our crepes were ready. So I guess all I have to say for this place is that if you go, ignore the signs, and knock half an hour after your order. Good luck!

Yelp
I had just finished an exam and decided it was time to try this place out because I have a friend who works here. I prepared myself for what it would look like because she had described it to me as "ratchet but the crepes are good." Sure enough, don't expect a sit down restaurant when you go here - it's tiny/cramped so I can only imagine what it's like when the boot is poppin!! The service was kind of slow, there was only one person working there though so I don't blame them. As for the Crêpes? Definitely what I needed to make me feel better after a hard exam. I got the chicken Florentine and the heavenly chocolate delight. They were pretty good! The crepe mix they make is very good I'm only giving them this rating because of the ambiance and I think for a place like this, they do not need to be charging $9 for their crepes!
google avatar

Yelp
I sometimes have random cravings for crepes during the night and a quick yelp search directed me to Crepes a la Cart. Decided to give this place a try. This place is a small short on the corner which can easily be missed. They have a large selection of crepes which range from savory to sweet. I decided to order the Greek. The Greek: Really delicious and tons of meat and sauce. The crepe is pretty big in size and the texture of the crepe was perfect (crispy edges with chewy center) Overall, the service is pretty good and they take credit cards. Only minus is that they always run out of ingredients especially strawberries and bananas. I understand that the shop is small so it's hard to stock up on ingredients which is a bummer. Still a great shop and I like that they are open late. They also have $3 black and gold (nutella + banana) crepe on Sundays to support the Saints!
google avatar

Thomas L.

Yelp
Beware: UberEats: If you order via Uber Eats and Crêpes à la Cart accepts the order, then they are still liable to cancel your order, while you have been waiting for your order. The crêpes are good. But: Why thus do they sell via Uber Eats. Not their problem?? They admitted to tho canceling our order after a while. Because they are 'swamped.' We were waiting patiently for forty minutes, before finding out by calling them. Thanks for nothing??

Caroline S.

Yelp
Amelia with the glasses is the best! She has great customer service and is very nice. Also made a bomb crepe!
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
The crepes here were pretty decent. I'm not a crepe person, but my friends seemed to enjoy theirs. I mean. They did drive all the way here. The crepes selection was pretty vast to my surprise. My friend had the pumpkin crepe. That thing was pretty good as I took a sampling. His friend had something more simple: butter, sugar, and pecans. It was pretty tasty, but I had the very bottom half so it was full of pecans. There was also a menu for other munchies as well. And btw, the coffee they serve is something very simple, nothing too unique. I asked for an iced coffee, and they literally gave me a Folgers (?) cup with coffee and ice in it. Yup. Very plain indeed. There was also a record/hipster store that has records, DVDs, CDs, body jewelry, random T-shirts, and other knick knacks. Think of this store as a Hot Topic with a thrift store vibe to it? Anyway... You won't miss the staircase. It's super colorful enough to not miss. Take a browse after or even during your crepe snack.

Cadence W.

Yelp
Crepes were wonderful! My cashier, Anna, was super helpful with picking my crepe out and explaining the menu to me. Crepes were reasonably priced and there were so many options. Great place to stop before or after a trip to the nearby bar or just to stop by on its own!
google avatar

Huda K.

Yelp
Updated- so my husband picked up some crepes for us and they were so much better then the last few times we had them. Lots of Nutella and a delicious crispy crepe! I'm really happy they made these changes!! Check em out!! You won't be disappointed.

Emma D.

Yelp
BEWARE ITS A SMALL TIGHT CORNER STORE. IF U ORDER IN PERSON ITS A THROUGH THE WINDOW SPEAKING.. If u gon eat at this place, u should call in to order bc the last time I came here I didn't even eat.. I did not know where the entrance was bc there was table blocking the doorway so I thought it it was the wrong door so order online before u have to wait and stand outside a bar where it's packed and people are staining at u.

Tyler T.

Yelp
I ordered the French Twist Crepe and was told the wait time would be 30 minutes. I didn't mind because I realize they were busy at the time; however, when into my crepe it was not a French Twist and was actually a ham and cheese crepe?? I just ask that the crepes are made carefully in the future because I also believed I was overcharged.
google avatar

Vince P.

Yelp
Great place for a late night snack or crepe cravings. A lot of options and add-ons to meet your demands. I tend to always get an ice cream crepe (banana foster or turtle), which are relatively bigger and probably can feed two. Live it up!
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Dined here last night with my Stonewall kickball team to support Dining OUT for a Cause. There were 4 of us in our group and after speaking with everyone about their experience, I feel I should write the review on behalf of my team. Staff: The one staff member working last night was rude and seemed irritated from the beginning. Her music was blaring, hence why every time a customer would speak she would respond "huh!" She absolutely did not want to be at work..I can assure you of that. Food: The crepes were okay. Nothing special. 2 guests got the Funky Monkey, 1 got the Monte Cristo and I got the Elvis. The 2 that got the Funky Monkey said it was very very rich, yet palatable. The Monte Cristo tasted bland and full of oil. The Elvis was THE WORST. The bacon tasted funky and the bananas were not ripe. Host barely put any nutella on the crepe either. Ambiance: It is a hole in the wall based on a corner of The Boot bar. What do you expect? Great hours for drunk college kids or you need a late night snack. Price: Way too overly priced even for vegetarian options. They should consider doing a "happy hour" or something especially during the summer. Probably would not dine here again, only did it for a good cause.
google avatar

Kelsey A.

Yelp
Having a menu item called "diabetes in a cone" is rude, and ill thought out. It doesn't matter how good your crepes are, you're literally legitimating making shitty jokes that perpetuate stereotypes about why people get diagnosed with diabetes. Edited to 1 star because the crepe that I got didn't taste good. It's not that hard to mess up crepes, and yet I didn't even finish this one.
google avatar

Bree B.

Yelp
I have fallen in love with Crêpes! Me & my daughter enjoyed the bacon & Nutella crepes. A totally enjoyment! Can't wait to try the basil/ mozzarella one.
google avatar

Greg H.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I last had a crepe here and today I tried the Monte Cristo. It was amazing! The crepe itself was huge and they are always generous with portion size. I really liked the consistency / texture of the crepe exterior which means their batter mixture is on point. The Monte Cristo has sliced ham, chicken, cheddar cheese, and dijon mustard. I can see why this is such a popular crepe, it is simple but outrageously delicious. The amount of food you get for around $8 is impressive. The ingredient ratio was very balanced and I loved the kick from the dijon mustard. I have to say the customer service was definitley better than my last experience but there were different people working this time and it was a slow Sunday evening. This is a great place to grab a quick bite but like other Yelpers have noted, it's swarming with drunk college students on the weekends so just be aware of that. I only eat here occasionally because a lot of their savory crepes are very indulgent but overall it's a fantastic place to grab a crepe on the cheap.
google avatar

Cynthia J.

Yelp
Let's just say today's customer service was absolutely ridiculous. I was " greeted" by this boy who was basically driving away customers he obviously did not want to be working and then he said they didn't have any of the ingredients to make a simple Nutella crepe. We ended up just walking away because he was so rude.
google avatar

Arielle N.

Yelp
Definitely great for those late night drunk cravings, especially since it's right next to a college bar, but I wouldn't go here unless it was for those late night cravings. Good crepes, but they're way overpriced and definitely don't put enough toppings! Also their staff always seem a little drunk or rude. Convenient for sure, but if you want some amazing crepes I'd go to Toast!
google avatar

Paige E.

Yelp
After reading the reviews for this place at the Arts events in Palmer's Park, I was committed to giving it a try. I'd been thinking about Nutella and bananas all month waiting for THAT last weekend. Wouldn't you know it -- the day before Facebook blows up with reports about how bad Nutella is for you. Whatever. I refused to read it so that I could have one more day of bliss. Totally worth it!!

Yelp
So, I was actually on my way to Earth Day Festival 2015 to see them at their food cart. But, the weather didn't permit, and the festival was cancelled. So, I decided to head into their main building. For one thing, the place is extremely small, the inside would probably be about the size of a regular bathroom. Parking is somewhat difficult regardless of the fact that I came at around 10:30AM. The fragrance was extremely aromatic the moment I walked in, the smell of fresh waffle cones seemed to hit me first. So, the first thing I ordered was the strawberry shortcake crepe which I'll break down for you. Crepe (Alone): The crepe itself was actually really soft, kind of crisp, but not hard around the edges. Again, the crepe reminds me of a waffle cone in that it has the exact same smell, but with a somewhat lighter, sweeter taste. It's actually pretty remarkable whenever you actually go in for a bite! The Filling: A majority of the dessert crepes have a light layer of powdered sugar placed on top of the fillings after everything is added into them. With that being said, the strawberry shortcake crepe actually had bits and pieces of fresh strawberry slices placed into it, and the shortcake was later placed on top. What I really enjoyed about the place is that they didn't slack on the shortcake. Overall, the place is kind of tiny, but it's in a neighborhood and has a sign that's extremely noticeable! The crepe was delicious, but I wouldn't make it an every day thing, just something as a nice treat! Especially on a rainy day!

Yelp
LOW QUALITY, DISAPPOINTING We were so excited to order crepes through Uber eats and have them delivered to our hotel. The crepes were over cooked, all three orders shoved in one container on top of another and lacking toppings(the cream) that was advertised. The coffee was cold and tastes old. The hot chocolate is water pretty much since it is obvious it is a packet and NOT real hot chocolate. At least use milk if you are using a packet and follow the instruction. It is a 12 ounce cup of water with what seems one packet of hot chocolate. This experience was terrible and we will never eat from there in the future.

Yelp
We got into New Orleans late and were starving. This place delivered crêpes to us at midnight, and they were so incredibly good. Like, it blew our minds. I got the Montecristo and my husband got the funky French chocolate thing. You should do this, it will be better than you even imagine.

Yelp
CRÊPES À LA CARTE TAKE-OUT TAKEAWAYS: 1. Outstanding price value. Almost all savory crêpes are under $8, and are about a pound of food. 2. Excellent quality ingredients. The Monte Cristo is their best seller and includes deli sliced honey ham, chopped chicken breast, grated cheddar cheese and I substitute their decademt hollandaise for the Dijon. This is a much more satisfying post-workout source of protein & carbs than Muscle Milk! 3. It's fast. I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes once I've ordered. And there's ample outside seating in front of "The Boot". 4. Unbelieveably, it's the only stand-alone Crêperie in the New Orleans area. In Paris such kiosks are as prevalent as sno-ball stands.

Yelp
This is the absolute BEST PLACE for crepes!! There's is no other places that serves crepes like this that I know of, definitely not back home in Cali. I tell anyone who'll listen that visits Nola to go here. Yes, the atmosphere is definitely lackluster and if there's more than 2 people ordering it gets hella crowded but after that first few bites, you'll know that it was totally worth it. This is my MUST-GO-TO spot for crepes!

Crepes a la Cart is the exact opposite in ambiance to the amour of my life, Crepe Nanou, but in terms of delicious, they're pretty high up there for me! It's like Crepe Nanou's offbeat nephew who shuns the family business to sell on the streets, cash only, so he doesn't have to report his taxes. The 4th star is because I love Crepes a la Cart at street festivals! It's a big delicious you can walk around and nosh on. I love watching them make the crepes on their magical flat crepe thingie. I sometimes dream of owning my own flat crepe thingie to make delicious semi-sweet crepes on, but then I say screw that, and go here! This was my first time hitting up the actual stand next to The Boot on Broadway. I think the reason I like the festival too is because there are usually only 4 options. I was a tad overwhelmed by the delightful possibilities in this teeny tiny shop. If I was claustrophobic, one other person in there would've had me freakin'. I ordered the Chicken Florentine with Dill & Chive Sauce. I thought one of the staff might've had an issue with me or a personal problem when he started yelling MANGO 'cause I was the only one in there...but then the other guy started yelling MANGO too. I noticed a young man right outside the door, and asked the first mango man if he'd like me to get his attention. A good investment might be an intercom system from inside to outside. I totally forgot to watch these crepe masters make my crepe though I love that one of them rocked these retro motor goggles like his master plan was to craft a hot air balloon out of crepes. I was handed my delicious crepe and went on my way! Just a note. I usually get something with bacon. While my crepe was fantastically delicious, something crunchy would've mixed up the texture for me! I cannot wait to try a sweet crepe!
