Google
I love the variety of fresh fruits, veggies and seafood they have at each of their locations. Exceptional prices and the best way to eat! Clean and fresher than anything you buy at your grocery store.

Google
What a great market with great vendors. Totally enjoyed buying yummy items, Fish, tomatoes, zucchini, fresh flowers, Creole tomato’s etc. Home made soups and other foods. My biggest complaint would be I’d like to see more different type of vendors. Love this market!

Google
Vendors were quite discriminatory. If you don’t look and act like them then they won’t even acknowledge you. Maybe 2 of the 10 vendors would speak to me or my husband. All of them stared us up and down as if we didn’t belong there.

In wise comments from Dhruv my 15 year nephew. “Yo The drive thru farmers market is dope! The #whatsgood purchasing app is fire”. Translation in over the age 50 English. He likes it.

Small market (7 tents) with vendors from other cities or states … but found Joshua sharpened my pinking shear scissors & that was invaluable !

Yelp
I absolutely love the farmers market! Between the fresh fruits, vegetables and unique finds for the week. It's always a fun experience. The farmers are friendly and give great insight on what's seasonal. I frequent here often and always spread the word.

Yelp
I've been to a few of these Crescent City Farmers Markets. This one, Tuesday mornings near where Broadway hits the river, was by far the largest. At some of the smaller ones, there aren't really many vegetables, but here there was at least a decent selection, as well as many specialty prepared food items. Despite the fact that there was good variety, I must admit I did buy things from vendors I knew from the other markets; the pricey vegan Thai place that was once at the Ochsner market, the veggi co-op whose flavored tofu I've usually bought at Mid-City, and the cheap vegetable tamales I get from the Warehouse District location. If I'd have known the selection was going to be good, I would have bought less food over the weekend. Still, having them all in one place was nice. The location is easy enough to drive to but not terribly close to the streetcar. There wasn't really a ton of places to sit down and eat the Thai salad I bought, so I ended up leaving with it. The vegetable selection still wasn't perfect (notably, no peppers; the hot pepper vendor I see downtown wasn't at this one). And obviously, Tuesday morning is not a good time for a lot of people. But if I can find the time, I'd come back.

Yelp
The perfect little market during the week! Great parking, variety of vendors, a cute park and, that day, Woody's Fish Tacos! The weather was beautiful and I was able to pick up cucumbers from Isabel and Miguel Mendez from Independence, LA; Cat's Whiskers and Spanish Sage plants Mizell's Farm from Folsom, LA; and delicious Lemon Dill Chevre from Rocking R Dairy from Tylertown, MS. If I had more time, I would've grabbed a fresh fruit popsicle from Amanda's Frozen Fruit Bars and hang out in the park. All vendors take cash, but you can buy wooden chips with a credit card through the Crescent City Farmer's Market tent (though there is a lil' $1 processing fee). You don't have to spend all your wooden chips that day, you can bring them back or to any of the other markets associated with Crescent City Farmers Market. Personally, I love being able to support local vendors so if you've got a second in the day to pick up your week's vegetables by yourself, with friends or your kids, this is a great way to support local business! The vendors are also really great to talk to!

Yelp
I don't often get to the Tuesday Market since I work downtown and the location would be quite a jaunt on a lunch break. But this past Tuesday, I happened to have the day off to spend with one of my little nieces. She, of course, remembered that on Tuesday's there's a market that sells delicious popsicles. So off we went. The popsicles (from the fruit juice vendor) were delicious, pineapple for me and strawberry for her. Since we were there at the end of the market day, much of the produce and other products were sold out. But I was able to get some Gorgeous tomatoes. I'll definitely be back on my next random Tuesday off.

Yelp
This market is awesome! I'm a fresh food lover and love to support local businesses. You're going to find a variety of fruits, veggies, breads/pastries, cheeses, and seafood. Reason I'm only giving it 4 stars: some of the stands are a little aggressive. Listen, I've worked at a farm stand and understand you need to sell, but not to the point that you're making potential customers feel almost forced to buy something. Remember to bring cash!! Haven't seen anyone take credit cards. Will be back to enjoy fresh produce. Enjoy!

Gayle C.

Yelp
I called and was told that some vendors take credit cards or checks. Plus you can use cash or the wooden chips that you can purchase with a credit card. Great cheeses, veggies and fruits, juices, plants etc, etc, etc.

Yelp
I don't have that much to compare it to, other than Saturday market, but I love this place. You can find all kinda stuff here. Fresh local veggies, seafood, dairy, bread and meat. They also do a "green plate" lunch that is made by a local restaurant. Last month (Dec) Tacoeaux Locoeaux (sic?) was there. I had some really yummy chicken taco thing that was fantastic. It seems they rotate restaurants every month for the green plate. I love the cheese guy from the goat farm. Oh, squeaky cheese is so very good! He has all kinds though, and I try to get a different cheese (or rotate cheese) every time I come. I can also speak very highly of Briarhill farm sweet and spicy pickles. They call to me in the middle of the night. The bread guy (there are 2, both have great breads), last time I was there talked me into a bag of the homemade granola. I am so glad he did. I can't stop eating it! And it's so good for me! Oh, and the guys selling the Mediterranean stuff. I'm gaga for his baba. Best I've ever had, hands down. The pie lady is here sometimes too. I bought a Granny Smith apple pie from her. I normally don't even like pie crust, I'm usually a just eat the filling kinda gal, but hers...nom, nom, nom. I had a clean plate. So, if you are ever on this side of town on a Tuesday and want some good, healthy, eats definitely stop by here.

Yelp
Kudos for offering sustainable food from organic, local farmers! I'm spoiled; I still have visions of the Ferry Plaza farmers market dancing in my head. But, in a tiny space every Saturday, they turn our a nice variety of fruits, veggies, meat, seafood, dairy and local food artisans. Why 4 stars? The pet issue. Yes, people think it's cool to walk their friendly dogs around the market. It's just common courtesy - you can't bring your German Shepard into Rouse's or Whole Foods, so don't bring them to this market.

Yelp
A good selection of hot, cold, cooked and fresh foods plus plants. There is usually a food truck or local restaurant featured offering lunches and a couple of the farmer vendors offer sandwiches or tamales that can be eaten on the spot. If you plan to eat, go early because they sell out quickly and they close promptly at 1pm. Steady features: Fresh bread Fresh fruit and veggies Milk Goat products Tamales Hot plates Popsicles Sweets Plants

Yelp
About as big as the saturday market. You can usually find fresh herbs, dairy, vegetables and fruit. You can usually also get tamales, jams/jellies, fruit juice, pies, and shrimp. Doesn't have the best selection (for example, no one sells onions, celery or garlic) and prices seem a bit steep (it's actually cheaper to buy smith creamery milk at rouses than at the market), but it's alright for what it is. It's great for getting things that are in season. The Tuesday Market runs year-round, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the northeast corner of the Tulane Square parking lot, 200 Broadway. You can get tokens by using your credit card, but there is a $1 fee (and a suggested donation) for this.

Yelp
This is a good farmer's market if you want to go pretend shop outdoors on some day. I, however, come from the Midwest. I used to do all of my grocery (food) shopping at our Farmer's Market. I miss it terribly. This market is meager. The selection paltry. Sad apples, not many fruit options whatsoever, a couple vegetable stands, that are entirely overpriced. No local poultry or meat options. Not much local vegetable options either. Actually, there weren't any local eggs! How? All pricey for what you get as well. The dairy guys are about all that they have going for them. Excellent cheeses and good milk. This place needs to grow and have other options. I left feeling disappointed and homesick for the options, variety, and absolute bustle of the market in Cincinnati.

Yelp
I followed the yellow brick road, which lead to the market! Tuesday wouldn't be Tuesday without it. From 9a -noon. I can't express to you how much I adore the Greek food. A Southern girl like myself wouldn't have tried it without the samples (Julia Sugarbaker voice). That food is a 'must have' it is delectable. Whole Foods does sell a few items. The popcorn is also good when it is HOT! The hot plate specials vary, but always good. I WISH that I could eat the pastries all of the time. If you want fresh 1s, get there early. Alright my fellow Marketeers, I empower you to buy fresh and local.

Yelp
If I worked closer to the market, I would eat there for lunch every week. I'm looking forward to doing so this summer, when my summer job is within a mile. Like Haley, I also love the cheese guy. I usually get a tub of goat cheese to put on the tomatoes & avocodos I get at the market. Last summer, I usually got fish tacos from Surry's booth. I've also gotten great herbs, butterfly and bee plants for my garden and fresh flowers to decorate inside. All of the vendors are friendly and appreciative of the business. Most usually offer samples of their products.

Yelp
Cute and small. Fresh produce, dairy, baked goods & prepared foods, plants. Good prices. If you happen to be on the Tulane campus, you can take a shuttle to get here. Wish the hours were a bit longer on both ends, to accommodate people showing up for work before 9 and people lunching later than 1. I'm used to farmer's markets that start early.

Yelp
Everything is so beautiful, people are friendly, you can shop for the best price on the produce you want, yummy iced coffee, fresh eggs and dairy, wonderful fresh seafood, awesome baked goodies, and some other really great canned and prepared foods. What else do you need to stock up the fridge?

Yelp
A perfect Tuesday morning would not be complete without a visit to the Crescent City Farmers Market! Located in Uptown Square right off Broadway, the CCFM is the best place to grab some fresh produce. Today, I picked up some creole tomatoes, fresh basil, and Chilton County peaches. You can taste the freshness in every bite. I made a caprese salad with the tomatoes and basil I got this morning, and it was so good! They have different vendors who offer anything from homemade pie to fruit popsicles. It's open from 9 am to 1pm every Tuesday. I'm so glad to have a farmers market Uptown! Go local! You don't want to miss out!

Yelp
On my first visit to the Tuesday market I just did not find what I was looking for and that was oranges. No fault of the market. A great variety of fruit, seafood, herbs, and even meat. Also there are stalls where you can order something to eat or drink. Parking is free but not easy. Very popular and very crowded. Next trip will be where I have more time to explore.
