Saturday night was easily one of the most enjoyable karaoke experiences I’ve had.
I’m a DJ from Oklahoma, visiting Seattle for the first time with my husband for my sister’s wedding. While spending the evening in Capitol Hill, we happened to stop by the Crescent Lounge and I’m really glad we did.
From the moment we walked in, the bartenders were friendly, efficient, and attentive. We had our drinks and our tab paid in under two minutes, which immediately made us feel welcomed.
We stayed for several hours, and Double D was hosting karaoke that night. He clearly takes pride in what he does. From handing out free stickers on the stage to engaging the crowd, his energy set the tone for a fun and welcoming atmosphere. When it was my turn to sing, I was greeted warmly, given a clean microphone, and even accommodated with a last minute song change which, as a DJ myself, I know isn’t always easy. The sound quality was excellent, and he did a great job hyping the crowd afterward, making the experience even more memorable.
Saturday night karaoke at the Crescent Lounge is truly top notch, and Double D is a big reason why.
The only downside to the evening was the tone of some interactions with the door staff, which felt more intense than expected and affected the overall comfort of the experience.
That said, overall we had a great night and would absolutely return especially for karaoke.
