Crevette brings a splash of the French Riviera to New York - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"We love fancy fish-and-chips shop Dame, with its sexy little plates of seafood. We also love Lord’s, for its meaty pies, puddings, and spot-on impersonation of a posh London pub. Our feelings towards Crevette—the largest, least English, and most ambitious restaurant from the same team—are a little more complicated. In a sprawling West Village space, Crevette inherits the clubby energy and off-white banquettes of former tenant Holiday Bar, but it cranks up the French Riviera atmosphere. It could be an afterparty location in Cannes, where critics discuss who should win the Palme d'Or. The whole place screams summer—from a large pastel painting of a seafood feast to the bright pink "Sicilian" sashimi that pops against your white tablecloth. photo credit: Kate Previte photo credit: Evan Sung photo credit: Kate Previte photo credit: Kate Previte As soon as the temperature hits 65, Crevette is bound to be the spot: a corner grandstand with open windows that extend out to sidewalk seating—and the perfect place to sip a pastis gimlet packed with crushed ice. The food is excellent already, but until warmer weather kicks in to bring it all together, Crevette shines brightest when you break it down into different experiences. Our favorite area is the elevated bar for walk-ins. It’s the best spot for people-watching, among folks drinking martinis and eating oysters dribbled with punchy cilantro mignonette. Join the oyster slurpers, or make a whole meal of Crevette’s most craveable dish: a grilled half-chicken drowning in persillade, with exceptional garlicky frites. There's plenty of space. At that bar, the large scale works for the restaurant rather than against it. photo credit: Kate Previte photo credit: Kate Previte photo credit: Kate Previte The booths and tables are a little isolated by comparison. They're spread out like islands, each with a flickering taper candle. Still, a two-top is a great for a romantic date, and a bigger table works well for cocktails and a grazing dinner with family or friends. Don’t skip the seafood plateau—everything from the raw bar is fantastic and priced by the piece. Spend some time with the meatier skewers too. If you’re hungrier, share the chicken or dover sole, but make sure to leave room for dessert. Unlike its instant-hit siblings, Crevette is more of a slow burn. But it also has more potential, with a long, interesting menu that rewards repeat visits over big, one-off meals. See you on that 6th Ave. sidewalk. Food Rundown photo credit: Kate Previte Raw Bar All the iced-down shellfish here is great, and pricing by the piece makes it a fun, interactive experience to build your own plateau. A spicy Calabrian chile condiment kicks the shrimp cocktail up several notches, and that cilantro mignonette plusses up the oysters. But the mollusks to prioritize are the mussels, which come in a smoky, rust-orange brava sauce. photo credit: Kate Previte Bluefin Tuna Potatoes are the one thing we always get at any of this chef’s restaurants. At Dame and Lord’s, they come in the form of proper English chips. Here, the first potato of the night here should be a rosti, which holds pickled guindilla peppers and a luxuriant slab of bluefin tuna belly. Think of the classiest wedding hors d’ouevres you've ever eaten and multiply by 10. photo credit: Kate Previte Merguez and Morcilla Skewer Get these for a little taste of meat early in the meal. Leaning into pintxos inspiration, these Spanish sausages are a perfect counterpoint to all the seafood. photo credit: Will Hartman Rock Shrimp With Basil Fritters Served with the greenest of aiolis, this dish reminds us why we love Dame’s fish and chips so much. The fry on these patties of rock shrimp is light and airy, and the basil gives them that pop of freshness. photo credit: Kate Previte Florence Fennel, Mint, and Pecorino Salad With all the richness on this menu, this salad is an absolute must. Light, fresh, and balanced with just a bit of salty pecorino, you’ll be looking for it after almost every bite. photo credit: Kate Previte Butter Beans, Pistou, and Grilled Squid There’s a beans-related arms race going on at New York’s top restaurants, and Crevette’s throws a haymaker. Creamy, perfectly cooked butter beans topped with lightly charred squid rings are drenched in once-crispy breadcrumbs, soaked with a lemony, buttery substance. It’s the closest we’ve felt to a sunny afternoon on the Mediterranean in what feels like years. Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Egg Yolk, and Foie Gras This dish is richer than Mansa Musa, Jeff Bezos, the sovereign fund of Norway, and just about every other billionaire combined. It’s a flex from the kitchen—grilled wild mushrooms, lobes of seared foie gras, and an egg yolk. Three bites of this are too many bites, but two bites are wonderful, so split the dish with a couple of people, and order some bread to clean up all that savory juice. photo credit: Evan Sung Seafood Rice It’s not quite paella, but it does scratch a similar itch. The rice is savory, stained with saffron, and worth adding on if you need to pad out your order. photo credit: Kate Previte Grilled Golden Chicken A perfectly cooked, juicy chicken is a standout. Sop up the persillade sauce with a big mess of shoestring fries—perfect, as is expected from this chef’s spuds. photo credit: Kate Previte Dover Sole For $86, we’d appreciate it if the servers fileted it for us, tableside or otherwise, but that doesn't really matter because this centerpiece dish is a showstopper. The dover sole is lusciously buttery, with béarnaise and capers. photo credit: Kate Previte Dessert Sweets are a true must at Crevette, especially the rhum cake with pineapple. This is arguably our favorite thing on the menu, but all the desserts are really excellent." - Will Hartman

Best Anticipated New York Restaurant Openings in 2025 - Eater NY

"The third restaurant from Dame and Lord’s duo, Patricia Howard and chef Ed Szymanski are opening Crevette in the former Holiday Bar space. It’ll be 'mostly seafood,' and 'not entirely British,' with a modern European seafood bar theme, featuring a lighter style of cuisine, more raw bar focused and less overtly English." - Nadia Chaudhury

Atmosphere and service were outstanding. Friendly and well timed and super helpful. The food was great; apps were better than mains. Two dishes had the same aioli sauce, and the Diver Sole was a little underwhelming. Chicken was barely cooked inside, but it had a nice crust.

Google
we had a wonderful experience at crevette. we took the chance to try quite a few dishes: oysters, shrimp carpaccio (!), octopus skewer, fennel salad (!), spanish tortilla, lamb ribs and the dover sole. there really were no misses, but i will say that the lamb ribs were not as impressive as literally every other dish we had. also had a really really nice bottle of wine and the espelette margarita, which was delightful. the service was super friendly and nicely paced—they don’t try to rush you through the meal. my only complaint is that they’re not serving lunch! so many of these dishes would be divine with a bottle of rosé out on their patio on a gorgeous summer day. we’ll be back, for sure, to repeat a couple and try more of what crevette is offering.

Google
The restaurant is wonderful. The bluefin tuna on potato croquettes tasted like airy, sophisticated tater tots. The Spanish tortilla with morels was otherworldly. The fries were cooked to perfection and almost as good as the chips at Dame. The butter beans with squid and breadcrumbs were scrumptious. And the white Negronis were perfectly balanced. Two critiques: the agnolotti filling was delicious but the pasta was grainy. The turbot was beautiful but not quite worth $88. It was a bit undercooked and fatty. I’ll definitely be back to try everything else on the menu.

The famous duo of Dame and Lord's has done it again with their third hit, Crevette! A beautiful seafood focused restaurant in downtown, I was very impressed by everything from the decor, to the staff, as well as, of course, the food. FOOD Had some delicious bites here. The most memorable that are a must are the Sicilian sashimi as well as the dover sole entree. The sashimi is an interesting Mediterranean take using olive oil, lemon zest, and capers which was very refreshing. The dover sole was lightly fried over a Béarnaise sauce (though lighter in execution) and sauteed greens. We asked for a bit more flaky salt as it was just a tad under seasoned for our palette. ATMOSPHERE The restaurant was beautifully put together and very well thought out. There is also ample outdoor seating which is lovely especially with summer right around the corner. I loved reading all the interviews about how owner Patricia put a lot of thought in the design as well as commissioning particular art pieces we saw around the restaurant. SERVICE Top-tier. No complaints. Our server was very observant throughout our meal and took particular care since we had a small child with us. He was also super helpful in navigating the menu and helping us understand which dishes we would like the best. Overall, a wonderful experience. Will be back!

Come for the appetizers (especially the wild mushrooms with foie gras) and fun ambiance! Entrees (we got the seafood rice and lamb ribs) were interesting dishes but flavours were pretty two dimensional.

Google
Food, service and value are top notch. Standout dishes were the chicken/frites, tuna/potato, rock shrimp, and Spanish omelette. We loved the decor and energy of the space, especially the tall candlelight at each table. Staff was so friendly and helpful - especially after only two weeks of being open - very much a cherry on top of the full experience.

Google
This was my second time at Crevette and it's definitely a hot reservation (friend got lucky the first time) but I'm pleased to report after going back that it is absolutely worth the hype! Their raw bar and appetizer section is filled with gems, not a single bad bite on this first round. First up, the Sicilian sashimi: a dish inspired Swan Oyster Depot in SF which features salmon, black bass, tuna, and scallops dressed with olive oil, capers, red onion, lemon zest, and chives. Get the large, you won't be disappointed. Next, the red shrimp carpaccio featuring raw local shrimp from Montauk, olive oil, chives, and a dab of sweet caramelized onions that really take things over the top. One bite of this dish and you're instantly transported to the Amalfi Coast. Moving on to the bluefin tuna bites, wow. This is my favorite bite here and an absolute must order. Delicate, fatty tuna that absolutely melts in your mouth served over a shatteringly crispy potato bite that will have you forgetting about crispy rice altogether. Get at least one per person; we ended up ordering another round as our final bite at the end. Last but not least we have the razor clams. Perfectly cooked razor clams chopped up into nice bite-sized pieces served alongside a refreshing melange of cucumbers, parsley, and some other green stuff. Light and tasty. For the mid course we got the mushrooms and deviled soft shell crab. One of the best mushroom dishes I've ever had, got it last time and knew we'd have to get it again. A perfectly roasted, flavorful medley of mushrooms paired with seared foie gras and an egg yolk that when mixed creates the most luxurious bite. First time getting the deviled soft shell crab and I wasn't sure what to expect. The crab itself was fried nicely with a crispy but light batter on the outside that didn't get in the way of its flavor. It was paired with a pepper-tomato-ish red sauce that I wasn't really expecting; it didn't taste bad but I'll probably skip it next time (just not my vibe). On to the main course. The lamb ribs are fatty and delicious, with a flavorful but not overpowering spice blend right on top. They're paired with an onion and pepper piperade (think like the base of a shakshouka) as well as a delicious labneh and some parsley salad to brighten things up. We also ordered the crispy skate wing which was quite different than I expected. I thought it'd be shallow fried but it was actually served more like a chicken parm: breaded and fried over red sauce with some manila clams on the side. Wouldn't get it again, will probably go for the seafood rice (which we got last time and it was great) or dover sole next time. Importantly, DON'T SKIP THE FRIES. They're thin and crispy, like an upscale McDonald's vibe, and tossed with herbs for an extra oomph. Also served with an herby aioli which will have you dipping again and again. For dessert we ordered the fior di latte soft serve topped with a savory milk crumble and macerated strawberries. Perfect for sharing and a great way to finish off a fantastic meal. Overall thoroughly impressed by Crevette. It is pricey and the portions are somewhat small (a lot of delicate little bites) but the food is very good and the service is friendly. This seafood-focused spot is perfect for summer, especially with their new outdoor patio right on Sixth Ave. Set a Resy Notify and make it here!

Yelp
On our way to Crevette I told my partner that we were in for a five-star meal. I am giving Crevette this rating not because I need to be right, but because it is truly deserving. Start to finish, our meal here was impeccable, with equally great service, drinks, and food. A seafood-forward menu will draw me in immediately, and this one is borderline overwhelming because of how extensive it is. Much to my dismay I still have not been to Demo or Lord's, so I can't compare Crevette to its siblings as I see others have, but it's always helpful for you to have a variety of perspectives. Improbably, I snagged a 9:15pm reservation for two on a Saturday night thanks to Resy notify and my quick-trigger thumbs (if you stay ready, you don't have to get ready). Like the food menu, the space here is much larger than most West Village restaurants. The decor is elegant and tasteful, with the art providing some fun pops of color and whimsy amidst a neutral-forward palette. For drinks, we took advantage of the cocktail menu, which offers a list of lesser-known classics, most of which I happen to love. Before ordering, I asked our server if the drinks were made with the typical ingredients/specs or if there were any special twists to them, to which they replied that it was the latter. To start, I got the Bijou (Tarragon Gin, Green Chartreuse & Sweet Vermouth) while my partner got the White Negroni (Gin, Cocchi Bianco & Suze), both of which were delicious and exactly what we were in the mood for. He then got the Hanky Panky (Gin, Sweet Vermouth & Fernet Branca) given his love for Fernet, while I excitedly ordered the Trident (Aquavit, Cynar & Amontillado Sherry) because I love aquavit and was thrilled to see it featured in this negroni-style variation. Food-wise, there is a strong emphasis on seafood, with just about every kind of preparation you can think of and then some. We sampled as much as we could with stomachs that do unfortunately have their limits. One nice thing for folks like us who like to try a lot is that a number of menu items are more bite-sized and canape-like and are priced as such, so what may seem like a ton of courses is actually not a crazy amount of food. Anyway, we got a mix of seafood and veggies with one non-seafood dish that came highly recommended. Everything was some version of stellar. Eats, below: Red Shrimp & Uni Tartare: A+ An absolute knockout to start our meal. Yes, it's a lot of money for such a tiny dish, but I'd rather a few spoonfuls of heaven than a big plate of mediocre. The delicate, silky shrimp and truly decadent uni will have you attempting to make this last forever. Bluefin Tuna, Guindilla Pepper & Crispy Potato: A+ These are priced per person and are hard to split (it would also be foolish to do so), so we each ordered one. I managed to break this up into two bites because one would've felt wasteful for something this good. Octopus & Green Harissa Skewer: A Also priced per person, though we just ordered one for the sake of saving room. A simple but delicious preparation. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the harissa complemented it beautifully. Florence Fennel, Mint & Pecorino Salad: A+ I'm sure the Caesar here is good, but if you want something more unique and you're a fan of fennel, you must order this. Light, aromatic, simple yet very impressive. Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Egg Yolk & Foie Gras: A+ This dish is as savory and decadent as it gets. As rich as the fennel salad is light, yet just as amazing in a totally different way. Grilled Golden Chicken with Persillade & Pommes Frites: A+ This was a highlight of many reviews I referenced before dining here and our server concurred, so we landed on this for our main. Cooked to perfection, juicy with crispy skin, with aromatic and flavorful herb sauce on top. The fries were a fun touch and hit the spot, served with an aioli I could put on just about anything.

Yelp
A new addition to the Village with hard to make reservations but when I was there, it didn't seem too busy. The space was large and there was ample space between the parties. I was not the biggest fan of the Crevette t-shirts that the waitstaff was wearing as it felt contradictory to the ambiance and the pricier menu. We each got a blue fin tuna which was 8 dollars a piece. We split the Peekytoe crab agnolotti with spring peas and green garlic which was delicious. Lastly, we tried the seafood rice with saffron, razor clams and lobster. It was a relatively small portion with very little seafood for 38 dollars. I would've preferred paying more for a heartier version. Overall, the vibes felt incongruent to the price of the menu. However, a few hits like the agnolotti. If price and portion size were more reasonable, I can see myself coming back here to try the other items on the menu more frequently.

Yelp
Crevette has a nice atmosphere and decent food. We enjoyed our time here, but I'm not sure if it's a restaurant i'd come back to often. Everything was good, but nothing stood out. We had the red shrimp carpaccio, the grilled wild mushroom (with egg yolk and pate), the fennel salad, and the seafood rice. For dessert, we tried the rhum cake. Red shrimp carpaccio was pretty good. Mushrooms were tasty but I don't really think they cooked the pate in a way that complemented the mushrooms. Fennel salad was tasty, very light but flavorful. Seafood rice was way too salty, but they had the flavoring down. If i could eat only one thing here again, it would be the rhum cake. They really outdid themselves with that one! Everything else is solid, just nothing crazy. I'd recommend this spot to anyone! Very date night vibes with a good balance of casual and nice. It's also a big space so feels comfortable to dine in.

Yelp
Crevette was first brought to my attention by one of my brothers after he saw it on social media as a hot new place to eat in the city. The menu looked good, and we thought it would be a good place to meet up at for dinner - that being said, we made plans one weeknight to go check it out. Crevette is the third restaurant by a husband-wife duo who are also behind Dame and Lord's; I haven't been to either of these so this is truly a new experience for me. When I say this restaurant is new, I mean it's *new* new - we visited at the start of their third week in business and a reservation was a little tricky to come by. Most open tables were only available late (like 10pm), but I got lucky and snatched a 5pm right when they opened. The restaurant is decently sized with a somewhat upscale aesthetic- the white tablecloths, low lighting, and floor-to-ceiling windows on the back wall add to the feel. The menu contains mostly French cuisine with an emphasis on seafood, with each section separated by dish size going from small bites to larger format dishes. We decided to share most of the dishes and got a couple from each section. For our "apps" we got the octopus and green harissa skewers, Spanish tortilla, and rock shrimp and basil skewers. All of these were really good - my favorite was tortilla which was topped with crab and stuffed with potatoes. The fitters were also a standout, especially the basil ones which were made with anchovies that provided a salty flavor (in a good way). For our mains we opted not to share and I went with the seafood rice. This was presented in a small pan and prepared with razor clams, lobster, and saffron. The dish was great - lots of flavor with just the right amount of seafood and well-prepared rice. We opted for dessert and chose the lemon tart and poachd pears. The tart needs a little work - good flavor but it wasn't set and as such was kind of liquidy. The pears were better - they were paired with mascarpone and everything worked well together. Service was good, everyone was friendly and we always felt taken care of throughout our meal. Overall, I think Crevette is off to a good start; the food is tasty, but I wouldn't call it amazing - though they still may be getting their footing. I would be open to returning after a while to see how they evolve, and wish them all the best as they embark on this new venture.

Yelp
All style and greasy substance. In a neighborhood of stylish, trendy restaurants catering to a mostly white, mostly affluent clientele, Crevette....does not stand out. In fact, it's distinctly subpar. - Poached Pink Shrimp, Aïoli & Calabrian Chili: Don't let the fancy words fool you. It's $5 per piece of boiled shrimp slighlty larger and plumper than your average shrimp. The accompanying sauces were just aiight. - Rock Shrimp & Basil Fritters: Greasier than a 14yo's forehead. Don't get me wrong, I love me a good fritter. But the batter was dripping in oil, and even the fragrance of the individual basil leaves couldn't make up for the gross feeling in my mouth after a while. Plus, the portions were teeny-tiny. - Petit Aïoli of Winter Vegetables & Skate Cheeks: Crunchy veggies and one small fried chunk of fish. Also too greasy. And too salty. The aioli also felt nauseatingly rich. - Spanish Tortilla with Peekytoe Crab & Seaweed Butter: Creative and delicious. If only they'd applied this same prowess and technique to our other dishes. - Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Egg Yolk & Foie Gras: Tasty but tiny. There was barely any foie gras. - Fresh Tagliatelle with a Cassopipa of Bay Scallops, Mussels & Clams: Remember when appetizer prices were in the teens? Now it's $26 for an app that's portioned like an app. Like this app, which was well-cooked but generally too unremarkable to justify the price tag. Our server was great, but there were pacing issues throughout. I will give the team credit for offering us a complimentary bowl of Fior di Latte soft serve with Meyer lemon drizzle to make up for that--but one scoop of ice-cream doesn't really make up for a pricey, lackluster meal.

Yelp
Crevette: 3.5 Stars - buzzy and worth a visit, but aside from the standout chicken, it's a one-and-done experience for me. Crevette is drawing a crowd -- every table was taken, and securing a prime reservation is competitive. The space at 10 Downing has seen frequent turnover (Café Clover, Holiday Bar), so it'll be interesting to see if the Dame & Lord's team can sustain their momentum or if the large footprint becomes a challenge. Either way, this iteration is worth checking out, though I don't see myself rushing back. Food - 3.5 Stars The menu had some hits and misses, with the Chicken being the standout dish but also others that didn't quite deliver. Here's how everything stacked up: - Oysters (West Coast, Vancouver) - 4 stars - Plump, flavorful, good homemade mignonette. - Tagliatelle w/ Scallops, Mussels & Clams - 3.5 stars - Fresh and flavorful but very al dente (undercooked?). - Spanish Tortilla w/ Peekytoe Crab - 3 stars - Mushy, room temp tortilla; crab lacked flavor. - Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Egg Yolk & Foie Gras - 3.5 stars - Rich and well-balanced, the foie gras was out of place - Grilled Golden Chicken - 5 stars - The standout dish--crispy, golden skin with deep, rich flavor. Perfect fries. Service - 3 Stars Lackluster. Our server checked in only once and showed little interest in guiding our meal. She was unfriendly and disengaged. That said, the food arrived at a steady pace (never more than a 15-minute wait between courses), and the meal was a nice, unhurried two hours. Ambiance - 4 Stars Lively, with warm lighting and well-spaced tables. The vibe is casual yet upscale; young, trendy crowd. Would I go again? Probably not. But for a one-time visit, it's worth experiencing.

Yelp
Crevette is from the husband/wife duo behind Dame and Lord's. It's another stunner, completing the trifecta of delicious restaurants in lower Manhattan. I went last night, on the first night they were open to the public. I really didn't detect any serious flaws with food or service. The restaurant itself is quite spacious and absolutely stunning inside - it really does feel like you're in a restaurant in the South of France. I particularly loved the framed photo of umbrellas next to the bar. The bathrooms are also super cute and worth using. Crevette is primarily a seafood restaurant but there are plenty of items for non seafood eaters. I ordered two poached pink shrimp [$5 each], a blue fin tuna on crispy toasty [$8 each], and the octopus and harissa skewer [$10 each] for my appetizer. I appreciate I could build my own "raw bar" experience basically. I really loved the blue fin tuna, the crispy potato was especially crispy. I also really enjoyed the octopus, it can be hit or miss if it's not cooked properly. For my main entree, I ordered the duck kebab [$32]. This was an absolutely stunning dish. I loved the spices that the duck was made with and the piperade, a type of tomato sauce, was slightly sweet which balanced out the duck nicely. The absolute hit of the night for me was the choux tarte tatin [$15]. I know Crevette is a seafood establishment but I think I need to come back for the choux alone. I've never seen a choux bun made so perfectly before, with that nice crispy top and the airy inside. It was such a great play on a traditional tarte tatin. Lastly, I had a margarita [$18] which was also delicious. Shoutout to the bartenders who were really on their game last night. One bartender in particularly really guided me to order the right amount of dishes. I wish the Crevette team nothing but success. $121 after tax and tip.

Yelp
This was excellent. The tuna, sashimi, and Spanish tortilla in particular are definite re-orders. We loved the seafood rice but there are also other entrees I'd like to try. We also loved the agnolotti, octopus skewer, and butter beans. We'd probably skip the soft serve next time.

Yelp
Off to a good start. A buzzy vibe and great service, Crevette is likely to be a success. The food is a little disappointing given the amazing food at Dame, but is still good. Looking forward to trying again once they have been in operation for a few months.

Yelp
Everything was fantastic. The seafood rice was one of the best things I've ever had. Almost like a lobster paella and everything on it was perfect. Don't skip the butter beans and the soft shell crab. Just perfect. Dessert too; everything seasonal and innovative and lovely.

Yelp
To start off, what an amazing space. A little moody but not too serious. Bathroom is eclectic. Staff is very helpful and personable. I do, however, have three suggestions to better the customer experience: 1. The entrance is a little confusing. Maps shows it as being in the middle of the block, which it's not. It's right in the corner and the door is not where you would expect it to be. There are some instructions on the windows, but they aren't as clear as they could be. I think it would be good to re-think the signage to make sure customers can easily find the entrance. 2. While the open flame candle is fun, it's a crazy hazard. While I was there, I definitely think someone may have burnt their hair. I'm lucky I noticed that it was an open flame in time because if I hadn't, I swear I would've accidentally burnt my menu. 3. The seating is low, which is fine, but I had a long coat, and it dragged a little on the floor. Maybe consider incorporating a coat check or just a 'at your own risk' coat rack for customers. Now, on to the food: amazing, remarkable - this is a place you MUST try. I started with the margarita which was lovely. I was part of a party of 2 and I think this place emphasizes ordering a bunch of small things versus your own individual entrees. 1 Bluefin tuna on crispy potato - Sooooo good. Such simple flavors but they paired together so well. 2. Red shrimp carpaccio - From a technical standpoint, I had no idea you could cut shrimp that thinly. That alone was really impressive! I loved the addition of the lemon rinds which added an element of sweetness. Really cool dish. 3. Rock shrimp and basil fitters - Just so you know, they're fried separately, not mixed together. Never had basil fritters before and I was very impressed. Everything went together really well. The dipping sauce was very herby. I would implore that they also offer a spicier sauce. I think that would be fun. 4. Lamb ribs - Our waiter told us this was a brand-new addition to the menu and specifically asked us for our feedback on it. We loved it. Only complaint may be that it was a little salty but along with its accompaniments, that was toned down a bit (I am my mother's child, however, so I tend to just put up with overly salted things here and there). Each element was amazing. Even when your lamb is done, you can't help but keep picking at the piperade. 5. Fries - Delicious. I love a skinny fry. And I love that I get to add another outstanding fry to my list. 6. Poached pears - Would I get this again? No. BUT, if you're someone who just appreciates the art of food, I would really recommend trying this. It is such a fascinating dish. The mascarpone is not sweet. The pears are not sweet. The sweetness seemed to come from the olive oil (?) and the pears, funny enough, were reminiscent of tomato. We just kept breaking it down element by element, combining different parts to see what they would do to the overall flavor and just repeating that cycle. Very interesting dish! I loved my time at Crevette. I know they're new and I have a few little nitpicks, but overall, what a wonderful restaurant. If you plan on visiting, make a reservation, and don't hold back - order a couple different dishes! Very much looking forward to returning!

Yelp
Service was great, and the restaurant is very stylish with nice details such as tall dinner candles and real herbal tea. Food wise, I find several dishes greasy and missing the seafood's original flavors. The dessert we got was excellent. See photo captions.

Yelp
Honestly so mid. Food and service was just okay. The tuna fish on potato did not seem good quality. Rubbery and chewy. Overall would not come back or recommend. Nice ambiance though!

Yelp
Me and some friends had an amazing dinner at Crevette last night! We tried the red shrimp carpaccio, the octopus, the mussels brava, the bluefin tuna, the wild mushrooms with egg, yolk and foie gras, the agnolotti with peeky toe crab, sashimi, clams, the lamb ribs, the seafood rice, and the fior di latte! it's safe to say we had a bunch of items on the menu and everything was superb but there were so many more items on the menu that I would love to try for next time. My favorites of this visit were the shrimp carpaccio, the bluefin tuna, and the seafood rice. The bluefin tuna and the seafood rice were actually so good that we ordered them twice! Hopefully I'll be coming back soon! They had great wine and very friendly inviting service as well. Great designed space as well.

Yelp
This meal did not disappoint. Octopus skewer was cooked perfectly and paired well with the shrimp carpaccio. Favorite dishes were the crab agnolotti pasta and the seafood rice. The tuna on crispy potato is good but skip able, save your appetite for the other menu items. Saving room for desert is also a good idea - the lemon tart was perfect to close out dinner, and the soft serve at the table over also looked epic.

Yelp
Great meal at Crevette. Despite being open for only a short time, this place is rocking! We shared the shrimp fritters, mushrooms with foie, tortilla with crab, chicken, and tarte tatin dessert. Seriously not a bad dish and this was a good amount of food for two. Food was coursed nicely and they let us have the table for over two hours on a busy Friday night. Recommend!

Yelp
Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Hype; zero star We spent $450 expecting a top-tier seafood experience, but unfortunately, the food and service fell flat. We ordered three main seafood dishes, but all of them tasted overly fishy and were way too salty--not what you'd expect from a restaurant supposedly known for seafood. The portion sizes were also surprisingly small for the price. What really surprised us was the service. After our main dishes, instead of changing the table paper for dessert, the male waiter simply scraped leftover food off the table which resulted smears foods on the table. Female waiter expected us to pass our plates to her rather than making the effort to reach for them herself. For a high-end place, that felt very unprofessional. The only redeeming features were the stylish interior and pretty plate presentation. Even getting to the restaurant was a hassle due to an inaccurate Google Maps location. Honestly, I'm shocked this place doesn't have more 1- or 2-star reviews. Definitely not worth the money or the hype.

Yelp
Wow! A really special meal. Our waiter was very friendly, well informed and welcoming. The sommelier helped us choose a fantastic orange wine which paired perfectly with our mix of seafood and land proteins.

Yelp
10/10 food and service. The bartenders and waiters were so nice and funny, the food was INSANE. Amazing new west village spot
