Seafood restaurant with French Riviera vibes, raw bar, and chicken
"An oyster with coriander mignonette and a pastis gimlet over a mountain of crushed ice could easily convince you that Crevette’s patio on Sixth Avenue is really on a busy street in Nice instead. The indoor dining room already feels very summery, so we’re happy that they’ve got a giant outdoor space where you can show off your new sunglasses and linen shirts—provided they don’t get stained with chicken jus. Their outdoor dining starts on May 19, and lunch service begins on May 23." - bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick, will hartman, willa moore, sonal shah
"If you find yourself constantly hate-liking your friends' Europe vacation photos, head to Crevette for your birthday. From the team behind Lord’s and Dame, this much larger Greenwich Village restaurant riffs on coastal Mediterranean seafood: oysters with perky coriander mignonette, grilled squid with luscious butter beans, and a beatiful whole dover sole. Ask them to stick a candle in that slice of perfect rhum cake." - will hartman, bryan kim, neha talreja, sonal shah, molly fitzpatrick, willa moore
"Crevette opened in February, but the West Village restaurant is really a summer child, with its aperitifs, seafood plates, and pastel dining room. On this prime people-watching corner of 6th and Downing, the pastis gimlets are poured over crushed ice and a coriander mignonette takes oysters to new heights. When the sun dips low and you want something cozier than a crudo, go for the half-chicken with fries." - bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick, willa moore, will hartman, sonal shah
"Following West Village hits Dame and Lord’s, husband-wife duo Patricia Howard and chef Ed Szymanski opened their third — and largest — restaurant in the neighborhood. Though the first two have looked specifically at British food, Crevette expands its reach with touches of the South of France. Dishes have their seasonal flourishes, with options like fennel salad, whole Dover sole with courgettes and a sauce made of squash blossoms, and a can’t-miss pineapple rum cake with butterscotch." - Emma Orlow

"In a more rational world, Crevette would be a tougher table than Carbone. The West Village restaurant has a noteworthy pedigree (it’s from the team behind Dame), a dining room that reads like Positano, and a lengthy list of memorable seafood-centric bites. The catch is that you can easily spend $100 per person. If that sounds doable, stop by and eat some marbled bluefin tuna over crispy potato, Sicilian sashimi dusted with onions and capers, and rhum cake in a pool of butterscotch." - bryan kim, willa moore, will hartman, sonal shah, molly fitzpatrick
