Let me start by saying that the one star rating isn't based on the quality of the food, but moreso the service and overall functionality of the restaurant as a whole.
We had a group of three who came in around 1pm for lunch on. Saturday. We were working a basketball tournament and were taking our lunch breakand needed to be to another gym by 2:15 (it was 15 min drive). The restaurant was busy, but not THAT busy, as we were seated immediately.
We ordered two burgers and a salad, with both of the burgers being cooked medium. With my two friends and I all having previously worked in industry as servers/bartenders, we know that times can get busy. This, however, was beyond belief.
As it approaches a 40 minute ticket time, we had to ask our server what was going on. He went to "check" and gave us zero explanation while not seeming to be too concerned about us having to go back to work. He then had a female manager come over to give an insincere apology to us, but we weren't offered an appetizer or anything and we had already surpassed 50 minutes by this point.
At one hour, after seeing others who came after is being served before us, we'd had enough. We simply closed out our bill and tipped preemptively before receiving our food to do AS MUCH as we could to somewhat cue them to expedite the process. Finally, after an hour and 15 minutes, our food arrived.
Burger was very good (4 stars), as were the parmesan fries. You can tell that they definitely tell that they use high quality ingredients and upon finally receiving the food, it was cooked to perfection.
The reason that we will all not be returning is not just the absurdly low speed of service, but also the disingenuous behavior of the server/manager. Stuff like this happens. You can offer a discount, an appetizer, or simply better service to merely being top of refills. None of these happened and it was actually the inverse effect, as it seemed as if they avoided us until our food finally came out. This is absolutely why Cribb's lost three customers (two of which were quite loyal) and will lose every other one who asks us about them.
