Crimson Room - Review - Langsuan - Bangkok - The Infatuation

"Crimson Room keeps its gins cold behind the bar, and their piano hot sitting atop the stage. This spot looks like a swanky cabaret venue—it's bathed in red and always has live performances that get more high-energy into the night. It’s not uncommon to see other people in the bar stand up and groove along until late, with folks trying to claw their way out at the end of the evening. Reflecting the bar’s theme, the cocktail menu takes inspiration from the cultures and history of places around the world where jazz and cabaret have thrived. One drink is themed around the Brazilian carnival, with aromatized wine, cashew nuts, and passionfruit. Another pays homage to the 1929 Wall Street stock market crash with whisky, gentian root, and a paper scent." - Vichayuth Chantan

This is one exceptional jazz bar. Great music. Lovely staff. Unique cocktails — I really love Rouge Noir Martini. The one con is that the bar is small and packed and it could get noisy with many people chatting loudly.

What a cool location this is. I was lucky enough to see a live show woth a super talented singer with a voice like an angel. It is a great setting nice location however quite high priced. If you want a seat, there is a minimum spend of 1000 THB. Not hatd to reach with the high prices they have. The drinks are just ok (at best). Don’t go there for good drinks.

[A Hidden Jazz Bar in Bangkok Dripping with Passion, Romance, Mystery, and Luxury — Crimson Room]✨🍷 A glamorous night in Bangkok.
Tucked away beyond the city’s glittering lights—
lies a secret place: Crimson Room. Step inside,
and you're transported straight into the 1920s.
Like walking into a scene from The Great Gatsby. 🥂✨ Antique gold accents,
velvet curtains in a deep, dramatic crimson red.
Soaring ceilings and warm, ambient lighting.
And at the front— a lone standing microphone. The space isn’t large, nor is the stage,
but it’s designed solely for music and stillness,
for listening and lingering. This place never raises its voice.
It doesn’t burn wildly, nor beg to be seen.
It simply seeps in—
softly, elegantly, like silk on bare skin. ✨♥️ On a quiet weekday evening,
a vocalist and pianist guide us through three intimate hours. The singer’s voice —somewhere between jazz and pop—
still young, still blooming. 🌸 Not fully ripened yet,
but within it, you hear the promise of depth.
Emotions not quite reached
float gently beneath each note,
like a quiet foreword to something more. 🎵 The pianist, Kim, plays with clarity and ease.
Maybe it's because I’ve been listening to a lot of jazz piano lately,
but his sound feels especially familiar, comforting. When I mention my love for Bill Evans,
he gifts me an impromptu "Autumn Leaves."
It becomes an unforgettable offering of the night. 🍁🎹 Time slows down.
Sound spreads like velvet.
And night wears its most beautiful shade of red. Just being there is enough—
to feel enchanted, immersed, alive.
A 5,000 baht table,
and somehow… it feels entirely worth it. Crimson.
Here, it’s not just a color.
It’s Passion, Romance, Mystery, Luxury—
all wrapped into one mood, one texture,
and this very night…
mine. 🌙🍷 📝 Just a small note before you go..

1. Table seating requires a minimum spend of 5,000 THB, and advance booking is highly recommended. Bar seats may feel a bit narrow for some, according to reviews, though during my visit, many guests seemed perfectly content there for hours. 2. Performances at Crimson Room feature a different vocalist and musician each night. The mood, the voice, the atmosphere — they may all shift from evening to evening. But perhaps even that unpredictability is part of this place’s quiet allure.

Was the first to arrive before the crowd streamed in so we had an intimate session with the singer and pianist - Puffer and Kim, I believe. Since there were only my wife and I, of course, the opening song was ‘Just the 2 of us”! Great evening, wonderful cosy vibe, creative take on cocktails, and solid performance and entertainment from the duo. Will definitely be back.

The place was cool, but the seating was very uncomfortable and the space was packed, with no room at the bar table. Because of that, I could hear people’s conversations louder than the singer and the band, which was disappointing since I came specifically to listen to live music. It feels more suitable for socializing in groups than for actually enjoying the music. The service was below average for the price, The female staff was blunt. The drinks were nice, and the music itself was good, but the overall atmosphere noise was too loud. The place requires a minimum spend of 1,000 baht per person.

The drinks were okay—pleasant enough if you nonchalantly enjoy your cocktails that give you a hint of type 2 diabetes. The hospitality was interesting. The staff weren’t unfriendly, just committed to a level of accommodation. The seating certainly supports this philosophy: even as a tiny person, I felt like I was being gently reminded not to get too comfortable. Sofas that support long-term sitting seem to belong to a higher tax bracket. We asked for an extra bar stool—considering the seat proportions and our quiet attempt to signal that back pain does, in fact, exist (helpfully emphasized by a full corporate outfit). The staff, however, seemed committed to preserving their ‘intimate yet ergonomically enigmatic’ seating concept. As for the music—let’s just say it was pop wearing a jazz-themed disguise. We stayed for two hours solely because the band was genuinely good, and free unlimited snacks. Otherwise, one drink each would’ve been more than enough before we gave up and left.

Review of Crimson Room, Bangkok This past weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting the Crimson Room with my partner, and I must say, it was a truly magical evening that I will never forget. After enjoying a delicious dinner, we decided to head over to Crimson Room for a few cocktails. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and enchanting. The unique mini-theater design added an intimate charm, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable night. What truly set this experience apart were the incredible performances. The singers were not only talented but also engaging, moving through the crowd and inviting other skilled singers to join in. This created a lively and interactive environment that encouraged everyone to dance and enjoy the music. The cocktail selection was impressive, complementing the overall experience perfectly. Each drink was crafted with care and tasted fantastic. Overall, I would rate Crimson Room a five-star experience. It’s a must-visit for anyone traveling to Bangkok who wants to immerse themselves in a night of great music, exceptional cocktails, and a captivating atmosphere. I highly recommend checking it out!

The seats are too tight to create the hi-so environment. Maybe is more to bring girlfriends so can sit closer. Music, singer, pianist and sound system is good. Very hungry as no food in this establishment, they do give some small chips but we are really hungry. Can suggest to collaborate with some food establishment to provide some food and you can earn some margin so customers can drink without gastric. Really to dark, slightly more or brighter floor lights might help. Service is prompt but mixer always overpoured, we like our drink stronger and mixer slower. Overall is still a fine experience. Will be back again soon. Hopefully at least with 4-5 dishes. We don't mind you all buy from another restaurant and markup.
