Criolla’s Baked Empanada - Review - Greenwich Village - New York - The Infatuation
"Criolla’s has a third location in Greenwich Village. Their baked Argentinean empanadas feature fillings like creamy corn and shredded chicken.
We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Will Hartman
I had two two empanadas that were delicious! They were tasty (both chicken) but also soft with just the amount of crunch on the crust. Will absolutely be coming again.

Got 2 empanadas, the creamy corn and beef. Both were flavorful and delicious. If I had to choose, I would say the corn was better. It was served warm and was the perfect snack to eat on the go.

Right outside west 4th, the best baked empanada in New York City! Brisket, funghi, smoked chicken, just wow, grab a bite on her way home!

I went to a place where an Argentine girl helped me. She explained the different empanada flavors and gave me a flyer for a free empanada if I come back to buy more. She was very kind… I also bought a delicious dulce de leche without a doubt, I’ll be back!

There are vegan options and vegetarian options. I love it! Are amazing and totally worth the price! My favorite is the ham and cheese one. I love that they’re baked instead of fried—it makes them so much healthier!

Delicious empanadas with many vegetarian and vegan options. Loved the spinach and funghi empanadas! Great for lunch and dinner!

Took out an order of 6 empanadas and some chipas. Lovely staff and even lovelier food! I recommend the ham and cheese but the Fugazzetta is a close second! They have options for everyone 💜

I just had the best empanada l've ever had in my entire life. I would post a picture of it, but I scoffed down after tasting it. Sabrina was absolutely the sweetest and recommended the spicy sauce with the brisket empanada which was AMAZING. Don't pass up on this place I promise it will wow you!

Yelp
I was looking forward to being a regular customer here since it's close to work but unfortunately I wouldn't go back. Way over priced. 7.15 for 1 beef empanada which was Ground meat, not steak.
It was tasty but I wouldn't go back. They should consider lowering prices and they will have long lines. I was there at 2 and it was empty. The staff was really nice but just not worth it for me.
