Hopscotch Bar Opens In the Former Crisp Space in Bloomingdale | Eater DC

"Once the Bloomingdale go-to spot for Nashville hot wings and chicken sandwiches, I saw Crisp officially flip into Hopscotch last week; its bogo happy hour is gone, sadly, though its chef Monroe Marsh, whose background is Italian, stayed on to run the menu." - Tierney Plumb

Crisp Is Closing in Bloomingdale and Turning Into Hopscotch Barb | Eater DC

"A longtime Bloomingdale bar and restaurant known for its Nashville hot wings and chicken sandwiches, Crisp debuted in the former Costa Brava space in fall 2015 under Jamie Hess and drew attention for its hot chicken and homemade pickles before being sold about a year and a half ago to Gabriel Neri. The existing chef, Monroe Marsh, who has an Italian background, will stay on; staff were given the option to return, and basil and oregano plants on the outside patio will be plucked for plates. The spot previously ran a BOGO happy hour that the new owners do not plan to keep. Seating is compact — about 18 downstairs plus eight at the bar and a front patio for up to 12 — and the upstairs patio currently houses a walk-in fridge that the new owners plan to remove to add four to five tables." - Tierney Plumb

Incredible experience! They went out of their way to help me pick up my order (after the third-party delivery was having issues and I decided to pick up the food myself), guide me to the location when apple maps wasn't helping, and even included extra snacks while refunding the delivery fee. Truly above and beyond!

For a $14 salad I got absoloutley FLEECED! I've eaten here before and usually had a positive experience and a decent amount of food but this specific order is just ridiculous. This piece of bread is literally smaller than my hand and there is the tiniest, flimsiest amount of toppings in my salad. I also asked for radicchio instead of tomatoes and they forgot to do that. I feel like I deserve a refund.....

Food is fine but the only thing worse than paying $16 for a wrap, which doesn’t even have avocado, is not being able to eat it. Don’t charge $16 for chicken, lettuce, feta, onions and tomatoes if you don’t have wraps large enough to fit it. Pretty basic order and an unacceptable result. Do better

As you can see from the picture a buffalo chicken wrap with virtually no chicken. Not pictured is the tea I ordered but did not receive. Not to mention delivery was late. Fail across the board.

Sal was so patient and kind with me in building my own salad! Every time I’ve been here, the service has been great and the food tastes very fresh. Their array of machine beverages seems to change seasonally; all of which have been fun to try! I appreciate the laid back atmosphere and especially the variety. The cost feels fair to me and its location is perfect for my work.

Came here the other night with a friend and the food was delicious!! The only downside to this place is the location and paying for parking. But the place is sparkling clean with lots of patio seating for warmer months.

THE WORST customer service at any restaurant that I’ve ever been to. The “workers” sat on their cell phones and refused to put them down to take any orders, refused to say hi, they workers seem like they could care less to be at work. Ran out of basic proteins with 2 hours left to close. It’s a shame because it seems like it would be a great spot but I can see this store going downhill, fast. Any employee or “manager” should represent the establishment they work for in a professional manner and the two working on Saturday July 5th would disappoint me if I was the owner of this restaurant.

It was fine after I pulled all the yellow wilted greens and halfway turned tomatoes I’d say cava is a better choice for a healthy bowl
