"Okay, we admit pulling up to this Vinings shopping center doesn’t really set the tone for a wine and dine experience. But with both covered outdoor patio seating and dimly lit indoor seating next to the hearth, the romantic ambiance heats up once you reach your table. You might be tempted to stray into other parts of the menu after looking at the tables of other Crispina’s regulars inhaling their favorite homemade pasta and wine. But if you’re here for the pizza, order a pizza. Whether you go with a traditional margherita or their Napoli with anchovies, these wood fire-cooked, slightly charred, Neapolitan-style pizzas will make you forget that you are indeed parked in a shopping center and not an atmospheric family restaurant on the cobbled streets of Naples." - nina reeder

Weekday lunch, arrived past noon but was not crowded. However many tables filled up before we finished. The atmosphere is very bright, and classy. Menu has many items that look very authentic. I ordered a lunch pizza with soup, hubby had lasagna and salad. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. serving sizes were great. We will definitely return, and highly recommend.

I've been here several times for weekday lunch, and it’s consistently an excellent experience. The food is delicious, the service staff is top-notch, and the prices are impressively reasonable—especially given the generous portion sizes. I almost always leave with leftovers. Highly recommend the Rústico sandwich. Can’t wait to come back again.

This Italian restaurant is a hidden gem. All of their pasta is hand-made and gluten free. The flavor of our 2 pastas was amazing. I would come back

Homestyle Italian + Great Service = Count us in!! Crispina has become a new favorite and I’m so ready to return to try the dinner menu. I’m confident it will be just as delightful and tasty as The service, atmosphere, and food all complement each other. So glad my coworker recommended this place as it has made it to my top faves for sure. Review video posted on Instagram @sh3_3ats

Amazing pasta and Pizza. It was the best date and best Italian food I had so far in Atlanta

Google
Can’t believe I didn’t try this place sooner. Definitely the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in the Atlanta area. The ravioli was amazing and the sauce was perfect. The Margherita pizza was great as well. Will definitely be returning soon to try more of the menu. Great service and atmosphere as well. 10/10 experience all around!

Food was so good our new spot in Atlanta where you can go with family, so friendly personal ! Pizza was just 10 stars out of five!

Google
The food was good but lacked seasoning. Everything seemed fresh, the pasta was cooked well, and the scallops were cooked well. The drinks were tasty and well sized. Again, the only issue I have is with the lack of seasoning a little salt, pepper, and herbs would go a long way. Overall good experience.

Yelp
I'm a pizza/italian food snob through and through, and this is by far the best Neapolitan style pizza in the area. If you like quality pizza for a great price, you can't go wrong with getting a Regina Margherita. I order one for delivery at least once a week, and I have never been disappointed. They use simple, quality ingredients and cook it correctly. The pasta dishes are also a great choice. The taste, portion sizes, and price can't be beat.

Yelp
So this restaurant was kind of tucked away and you wouldn't even really know about unless you were actually going in that area and looking for a specifically. It's in a shopping mall strip mall situation, and it's around the corner so it's not even at the main part so you really got to know what you're doing. But I wasn't unhappy at all. It's actually pretty quaint and small but it is still very nice and very clean. They have a bar on one side and more than a couple of seats on the other side. Now it's not a full restaurant like an Olive garden, not at all, but it has indoor and outdoor seating possibilities so there's still a chance to catch a good seat without an issue. All the way to Apple's really good and helpful to us, they made sure to go ahead and explain the menu and explain how things work, so I have no issue with the service at all. I tried the Fettuccine w Chicken and the Calamari. The calamari was good, it was cooked to near perfection. They had a lot of extra smaller pieces, it's kind of like the bottom of the bag when you are making something from the freezer aisle, all the residual crumbs and smaller pieces will sit to the bottom and you'll get that on your last batch, but there were plenty of big pieces to compensate as well. The fettuccine was really good. You can get it by itself or get it with a protein and I chose chicken. It was savory and tender and had a nice amount of sauce to boot. It was good enough that I would actually try a couple of other the pasta dishes next time I'm in the area. This was a good little duck off and it's worth your time to try. Now it's not like you're in Little Italy but it's pretty damn good regardless.

Yelp
What a vibe! Love Crispina. My mom introduced me to this restaurant about 2 years ago and whenever I'm back home and visiting in Cobb, it's our go to spot to catch up and relax. I LOVE their bolognese and their limoncello lemon drop martini is AMAZING. We always recieve It's a hidden gem and highly recommended. Service has always been great. Have never had an issue with getting a table as a walk in, we normally just sit at the bar and do prefer to go on the weekdays when it's not as busy. We will be back!

Peggy H.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner at Crispina's last evening. It was a damp, dark evening but the warmth of the cozy restaurant was just what we needed. The dark, intimate space, with the wood fire pizza oven blazing away was so relaxing. Service was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, and so very professional. I ordered the linguine with mushrooms in a parmesan cream sauce. It was a bit bland to me so I added a sprinkle of salt and it was perfect. The sauce was delicious, the pasta cooked to al dente perfection, and the mushrooms were so good. My husband enjoyed his lasagna and the pizza we ordered to takeout was tasty as well. Eating here is like eating in your Italian grandmother's kitchen. You'll feel like you've had a warm hug!

Yelp
I came here for an early dinner around 5 pm on a Friday. There were still plenty of tables to pick from but I imagine they do get busy so highly advise making reservations for larger or later plans. Indoor and outdoor seats in their enclosed patio with space heaters are available. For an appetizer we shared their Vongole E Cozze Al Sugo Di Pomodoro which came in a white wine, tomato sauce with 4 crunchy toasted slices of bread. This even came with the mini forks and plate for shells so you can TRY to keep your hands clean! For entrees, we split their Home Run Pizza and Pappardelle Antonio. The pizza had a well developed crust with a hearty amount of toppings. I really liked the long wide noodles with lots of sausages and bell peppers. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. Ambience was both casual and fancy so definitely wear what you want. I would love to come here again and highly recommend others to check them out!

Yelp
I went in for lunch this week. I think the pizza may be Atlanta's best; and the bruschetta starter was even better!

Melanie W.

Yelp
A quaint spot located in Vinings with delicious Italian eats. It was super easy to find parking and a day of reservation. The restaurant was pretty full, but our food didn't take long at all and the server was attentive. I tried the gnocchi and substituted the shrimp for chicken; it was delicious! My friend tried the lasagna and quickly finished it. The restaurant itself is little to no frills, but you really don't need that when you have solid food offerings. I'll definitely be back!

Terry H.

Yelp
Food was ok but nothing to rave about. I grew up in Italian City near Philadelphia. That food was incredible in comparison! The service was terrible. I walked in with my well behaved little Shitzu and was moved to the cold patio. Which was ok as the owner did start up some gas burners. But he refused to look at our table and started mumbling that this quite little dog was not a service dog. I never said he was a service dog. He is medical approved for emotional support. The man never inquired how our food was or the service. He was outright hateful. The ambiance included a door to outside that stayed open as people arrived or exited. So we kept our coats on. So the minestrone soup was not even comparable to Olive Garden. The meal as a whole was expensive but mediocre. My wife and I have no intention of returning to a cold Italian restaurant which is both overpriced and rude.

Yelp
Delicious everything awaits you! We happily stumbled upon Crispina Ristorante & Pizzeria upon learning that C&S Seafood was closed for lunch. This restaurant is located on the side of Kroger next to BP. We did have to call to find it in the shopping center after finding it online! Our appetizers were so delicious that we couldn't take time to take pictures. But we loved the mussels and clams - the sauce was deliciously garlicky. Charcuterie was superb with plenty of prosciutto, cheese, and dried figs. My husband enjoyed the fresh bread but yearned for butter. He used the oil on the table but would have loved some pepper and herbs. Our entrees were salmon with potatoes and spinach, scallops with polenta, and veal. All were delectable. Even the sweet tea was perfect!

Frank P.

Yelp
Ridiculous. Two different servers sent me the wrong dish. Nobody asked how my dinner was or if I needed another drink. The communication in the restaurant between serve and cook was bad. They discounted my dish but didn't offer an apology. I will not return here again

Raymond B.

Yelp
I'm not a typical Five Star guy but this place is definitely a 5 kind of place. I had stumbled on this location after scanning for an hour and when I decided this location I didn't realize it was behind the Krogers grocery store. I didn't have a reservation but they sat me quickly and the owner was very nice to talk to. The young lady Natalie, at the bar waited on me and was very polite and nice. She continued to check on me throughout the meal which is not often the experience I get from other places. I was going to choose the veal but there was a Monday special of Chicken parmesan and she highly recommended this dish. It was a huge plate of chicken and pasta that I could not finish it. It wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting but I did enjoy the taste. Since I enjoyed the chicken Parmesan I decided to order the tiramisu as a dessert to go. I got it back to the hotel and I wasn't to disappointed. It was a big portion and it tasted great., overall the meal was a hit.I would recommend that the overall meal costed $51 and it included 2 beers, a Caesar salad, main meal, and a dessert.

Yelp
Good was bland, the chicken was not seasoned. We needed to add our own seasoning and plenty of salt. It did nothing Service was ok. Guy was not happy about us asking for bread Ambiance-small cozy spot-the tables are close and the people next to us was hella loud-sooo annoying We did speak with the manager* about the food. She just brushed it off. Olive Garden would've been better We will probably not repeat them

Tony A.

Yelp
Unbelievably. You make reservations two hours before and they send you in a place with no heater whatsoever outside. They also say it's your problem and not theirs! and then when you complain, they roll their eyes out if you don't like it just leave! No way to treat a customer is gonna spend over $100. They need to get their stuff together and treat people like people and tell them there's no heater when they sit you down outside!

John P.

Yelp
Excellent service and delicious food at very reasonable prices. Love Cristina's! Casual, friendly and cozy.

Yelp
Went here for the first time last night, and I was pleasantly surprised. I frequently pass this place as it is in a Kroger parking lot that I visit often. My first thought when walking in is that it was a really cute date spot. It was nice and quiet and had a good ambience. I ordered the house salad which I was very pleased with. It was a generous portion for a reasonable price. I also ordered the spinach ravioli and it came with a really delicious pink sauce and a generous portion of ravioli. The bread was good, but it could've been a little bit warmer when brought to the table. I do appreciate, however that the service was really good throughout the night. Our waitress checked on us multiple times, and when we had a request it was promptly addressed. The prices are reasonable for Italian food at a nice restaurant. This place does a good job of being upscale without being stuffy. It was very warm and inviting when we walked in. At the end the staff (I am guessing the manager) checked on us and asked us how we heard of the place and also told us the nights where they have specials. There is also plenty of parking outside and there is a outdoor covered patio.

Yelp
The most wonderful place to celebrate my birthday....and much because of the fabulous Manager Linda.....She accommodated us.....and we had the most wonderful Tiramisu as well as the Limoncello that always tops our meal off. Andriano, the finest food and every thing else......So Glad that you are here in Smyrna. Thank you Janet ...Adrienne L

Yelp
Great food and service! Food was fresh and real authentic italian. Cute little restaurant with nice chill environment.

Roberto G.

Yelp
Horrible never come here. We arrive 45 min. of closing and did not wanted to serve us. Never coming back here.

Julia H.

Yelp
My first time dining here and it was fabulous! We arrived little before reservation so we had a drink at the bar. You can tell this is a well established place with regular clientele of locals.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
When I crave pizza I go to Crispina. I am a spoiled Italian and I can't just eat any pizza. It's gotta be good, from the crust to the tomato and mozzarella. Everything has to be right. I am not a fan of big pies to share. I want my own pizza. Lol At Crispina, they make individual Wood Fired Pizzas. The owner and chef Raffaele chooses the best ingredients and prepares the dough to obtain and thin crust at the base and a airy crust that puffs around the sides. It is just like enjoying a pizza in Napoli, without the view and the monuments. ;) Their pasta dishes are also very good and so are the fritto misto and the eggplant Parmesan. They have a fairly new location in Kennesaw I have not yet gone too.

Shameka C.

Yelp
The bartender was very rude. I was the only black female sitting at the bar and several white customer wt he too. The bar who was a white or Italian male and never acknowledged me and I had to ask for a Menu and wine recommendations. Very horrible. He was racist and was happy when I said I Would take my business elsewhere. Black people ever don't go Here!!!!!!! Definitely Iwill never be back!

Lea Ann P.

Yelp
We had dinner last night and it was a great evening. Mikey was our waiter and what a great guy. Very pleasant and courteous. The pizza is really good. I would recommend the Kennesaw location to anyone to anyone.

Yelp
While at a 5 day baseball tournament in Marietta, we decided to eat in Crispína Ristorante & Pizzeria and couldn't be happier we did! Our party of 40+ isn't easy to accommodate but their manager, Tenisha made it happen. When you pull into an establish with such a large party, you can tell how individuals deal with stress and how inviting the visit will be. She was so pleasant and accommodating! She sat us in a private room where we were served so politely by Emily & Joey. The food was so delicious and everything came out in a timely matter. The meatballs, shrimp penne, chicken marsala, pizza, lasagna and cheesecake were a hit to name a few. It was so good we went to both locations multiple times. Thank you so much for the southern hospitality everyone! We're so grateful for your attention to detail. Andriano, you took the time to talk to me and I hope that some day in the near future, we meet in Miami. You really have an amazing team and formula for growth. I wish you and the Crispína family continued blessings!!!

Val C.

Yelp
Beautiful and delicious pizza pies! Great prices for quality and quantity meal portions. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My new favorite pizza place.

E M.

Yelp
EAT HERE!!! The food is delicious. Nice atmosphere. Thus the 5 star review. BUT I would give this location A MILLION STARS if I could because of the people. When my husband's birthday party fell through, the Crispina's owner and staff went above and beyond to make his day special. Sincerely, the most extraordinary kindness we've ever experienced. Cannot sing their praises enough.

Andreas S.

Yelp
Food quality is excellent . Good Italian cuisine . Service is fast and waiters are well presented. Ambience is nice with outside seating available . There is plenty of parking . Best to make a reservation as it gets very busy.I recommend the veal .

Kat S.

Yelp
A big NO. The service was mediocre at best. Lots of employees but very slow. Our water glasses were never refilled, we received three cold piece of bread that was put in a basket after it was removed from a plastic bin one would store holiday decorations in in your garage, and the entrees, while well presented, were bland and not cooked well. The ravioli was over cooked and the fettuccine was undercooked to the point where strands of the pasta were raw but stuck together. We had such high hopes... there was steady traffic in and around the restaurant. It appear a fav of the locals but it will not be a fav of ours.

Wendi G.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick evening meal during the week. We've been dining here since it opened and from this visit we probably won't be back. Crispina has really deteriorated in service, food and quality since it opened years ago. We wanted a simple meal and drinks and thought this would be a easy, relaxing meal at a Vinings neighborhood restaurant. Not so. We ordered the Arugula Salad and added the Grilled Salmon and Pappardelle Pompei. The salad arrived and it was a measly dinner salad with the tail end of the salmon that was charred and overcooked. By looking at the salmon you could tell it has sat way to long on the grill and it tasted just as bad. When I tried to return it the server said "my manager will have to approve taking it off the check." What? You could clearly see the salmon was inedible. Additionally the pappardelle was maybe six measly noodles and the dish didn't even look like a full serving. It looked like the leftovers from someone else's dish that was left in the pan. The sausage was dry and overcooked and there were a total of two olives. The manager did approve to remove the salad/salmon dish from the check but never visited with us to offer anything else. Went home hungry and truly disappointed. $$$

Yelp
Great Restaurant Tucked away little place with great food at very reasonable prices. Large portions, delicious Pizzas , wonderful Lasagna, Baked Calzone,Veal dish @ night just delicious. Great service , family atmosphere. Not your franchise restaurant. Highly recommend!! Marty Smith, Long Time Customer!!Parmesan Tagliatelle Pasta

Zach K.

Yelp
Had a great time with family here . Our server Forest was very impressive with his professional and quick service. The lasagna, gnocchi, and lobster ravioli special were delicious, all had great sauce. Definitely will be back.

Shawn W.

Yelp
Food was average but the service was horrible. From start to finish, the service was slow and nonresponsive. Go to Olive Garden across the parking lot instead.

Sandra G.

Yelp
BEST ITALIAN IN ATLANTA! There I said it.... I don't want everyone to know about this hidden treasure tucked away in Vinings. Authentic Italian food, atmosphere, wait staff and CHEF. We got the Chicken Parm , Lasagna, Pizza & Spagetti & Meatballs. Everything was perfect. My fav was the Chicken Parm... light breading, extra crispy... Portions are HUGE. Make a reservation... it gets crowded on weekends for sure. * we also needed a party of 20 catered and they were incredible.... highly recommend

Russell A.

Yelp
If you're craving Authentic Italian food, and you're in the Marietta area near Barrett Parkway side, look no more. Ever since our honeymoon to Italy, My expectation level for what Italian food should taste like has increased. Crispina comes as close as it gets to the authentic Italian taste I sometimes crave! Now all they need is a good lunch special serving up some porchetta with a side of caccio a Pepe and I'll be in heaven!

Asharian S.

Yelp
The food wasn't bad but the proximity between tables make you feel squished. The food unfortunately didn't wow me too bad. Buuuuuuuuut the meatball was amazing

Amanda S.

Yelp
You can tell manger is micromanaging. Small bar. Manger keeps coming behind bar. Bartender eyes rolling, server eyes rolling, manger slamming cups, plates, door. Employees looking left and right with forced smiles. Noodles Al Dente. Too al dente. Manager says we pride ourselves on al dente. Ok that wasn't said when ordered. Would have picked another dish. Date had lasagna it was yummy but really tasted like canned spaghetti... we're used to that so it was familiar. Manager making coffee. Drops tools to make coffee. Bartender see it. Doesn't stop to help rolls eyes. Manger realized he dropped the tools picks them up off floor doesn't clean them and Keep s on making them. Bartender looking like WTF. Manger turns to scold bartender on missing drink refills at bar.

Rachel R.

Yelp
I've been a patron of crispina Vinings for 3 years because I love the staff. Unfortunately, after leaving my honest review of my last visit there, I've been told I'm no longer welcome there. It's really a shame Adriano is too arrogant to apologize for being inhospitable, and downright rude to me. I looked forward to spending my evenings there enjoying a cocktail and chatting with the staff and the customers.

Erin A.

Yelp
I inquired about availability on an early Saturday evening and the hostess refused us a table once she learned we had children.

Alex P.

Yelp
What do we associate with an Italian home? Warmth, kitchen, wine and hearty homemade pastas would be a start. If trying to understand what Crispina represents in Atlanta's dining scene, it is exactly that. It is a comfortable place. It is a place of many, many traditional flavors and home recipes that would be tough to find elsewhere. Raffaele Crispina is the executive chef and owner here from Napoli and can be seen upon nearly every visit. He appears genuinely happy to be doing what he does and to welcome people into his home. What is it like inside? There are simple wooden tables, an open kitchen and a very reasonably price wine list. It's not fancy by any means, although for dinner many guests do come dressed in button downs or slacks. Yet, it is the kind of place where you can feel at place in just about anything. The patio faces the parking lot, which is not my favorite place to sit. The food is absolutely spectacular. From pizzas to pastas to entrees. Insalata di Cesare is a great preparation of the classic. Tagliatelle alla Rafaelle is simply amazing and bursting with mushroom buttery flavors. Arrabbiatta pizza is a wonderful in spice and tomato flavor. Ravello pizza is filled with delicious Italian sausage. Also tried some of the special dishes. One of Raffaele's most memorable preparations is a stuffed squid, which is a family recipe and he executed it to perfection. Crispina is low key, comforting and unpretentious. It is a category of restaurants that unfortunately has largely disappeared in Atlanta center with extremely high real estate costs in the city center and a desire for glamorous. Crispina is a preservation of tradition and a place that I will visit over and over again.

Mike T.

Yelp
We have been going to Crispina's for years. I think the pasta dishes have gotten tastier recently. Have not had their pizzas yet, but they look amazing, can't wait to try one the next time we're there.

Gwenn A.

Yelp
I made a reservation through open table (no points given). When we arrived although there were plenty of tables they made it seem as if it was a problem to seat us. We ordered appetizers which were all good. Minestrone, Bruschetta trio and calamari ( too many fried veggies in this order) Ordered a glass of wine which we had to remind the waitress that we had never received ,she was the bartender and the waitress. The spaghetti and sausage was fine adding peppers made it a different dish (pastas lack creativity) and the fettuccine was so bland I asked the waitress for pepper and cheese to try to make it have some taste. The tiramisu was good and the Italian cheesecake was covered in caramel sauce making it way too sweet. This restaurant has a steady flow of customers and I wonder if that is because there really isn't anything near there to eat.

Claudia A.

Yelp
Great little spot tucked in the corner of a Kroger shopping center. They offer a wide array of wines and great Italian dishes. Though the bread that comes with your meal is just ok, they give you olive oil to pour on it but they need Italian seasoning too. Definitely get the calamari. They do it right.

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
My sister-in-law and I made spontaneous plans to have a patio dinner at Crispina on a Saturday night and had such a fun time! I felt a bit wary when pulling up that the "patio" was more the middle of the parking lot but soon began to forgive the restaurant of this minor issue when I tasted the food and enjoyed the live music. I am a sucker for ravioli and couldn't resist ordering it as soon as I saw it listed on the menu. I particularly loved the creamy rosa sauce. The portion was more on the petite side, which though great for my waistline, I would have loved a little bit more. The live music was enjoyable - a laidback, old school kind of vibe. We stayed and chatted at our table for probably an extra hour just because of the music. I'd love to return sometime soon!

Morgan S.

Yelp
My husband and I were visiting Atlanta and found this place by chance. Best happy accident ever! It was very crowded and looked like a reservation-only type of place, but we persisted because the ambience was so nice and something told us that the food was going to be worth it. Maybe it was the stubborn older ladies waiting ahead of us who kept exhorting each other not to move, lest they lose their place. The host sat us at the bar in a very congested little part of the restaurant (which would usually bother me), but when the food came out, I forgot about everything else. I got the lasagna and my husband got the fettuccine Alfredo with Italian sausage. Both were delicious. Excellent quality comfort food--no snobbery or cutting corners. I don't know how the staff kept up with such chaos, but they did so seamlessly and without crashing into people, which I thought was a feat. For dessert, my husband had the tiramisu (loved it, said it was the best he'd ever had), and I had vanilla gelato with fig balsamic vinegar, which I know sounds weird, but was quite delicious. It was an incredibly delightful meal and a great memory.

Cheryl H.

Yelp
Such and cute place, but horrible service. So sorry to have bothered them by coming to their establishment for lunch. Honestly they acted as if we were bothering them. Slow to get our orders. Literally threw the plastic bread basket on the table and walked away. Never came back for refills. Food was mediocre at best. I will be putting this restaurant on pause.

Sarah S.

Yelp
I went to Crispina with my family for my 30th birthday. Made a reservation on open table. Pasta and pizza were fabulous. Service as well. Beautiful ambiance. Highly recommend.

Kawana C.

Yelp
How awesome is this hidden gem! After a day floating down the Chattahoochee this place saved the day! Our bartender Cassie was fantastic. The other bar patrons helped us with food selections. The drinks were absolutely fantastic and 100% needed. We enjoyed 2 spaghetti n meatball portions. 1 Margherita Pizza and 1 mushrooms fettuccine pasta!! I definitely will be back. Bar nor restaurant was packed on a Sunday and I loved that forbusb4 ladies!!! Thank you so much for finishing our day perfectly!!

Kat T.

Yelp
Spinach ravioli and tomato sauce was AMAZING! Pizza was huge. Great staff. All good sooo good!

Miguel G.

Yelp
What a day to spend Father's Day surrounded by the one you love, I wanted to go to this place, first timer but sure won't be the last one guaranteed, the food omg how I can say this DELICIOSO, fresh and the minestrone soup one of the best I had in a while, the staff very attentive and friendly. I really really recommend this place believe me you no disappointment

Generous helping of wine per glass. Bread is homemade and very good with the EVOO on the table. Homemade pappaderelle pasta dish was very good. Caesar salad with homemade dressing was a hit with my husband. Quick service! We will definitely be back to try more dishes and try to leave room for dessert
