((4.25 stars)) did a pickup order from Crispy Burger for dinner back in December, 2024--i know, i know i type slow or life happens or some mix of events prevents you from getting things done on time. anyway, this very much is a fried chicken place--fried chicken by the piece (wings, thighs, breasts, or drumsticks) or nuggets, fried chicken burgers, and variety of sides like fries. onion rings, and more. they do burgers, grilled chicken sands as well as fried fish sandwiches but the focus is on the fried BIRD! little bit of wait when i went to pick up my order but i do think the food here is made to order, so it's not like they are just warming up pre-made food. and the from-scratch approach makes for a good Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which is what I ordered via a food app. the sandwich is accurately described on their menu as "fresh hand breaded chicken, with secret mayonnaise, and lettuce on a buttered toasted Martin's potato bun." the chicken piece is super crispy because it is heavily breaded and really locks in the seasoning's flavor and juiciness of the chicken. the flavorful fried chicken patty is anything but dry bc they are using dark or thigh meat, i believe... i opted for the spicy option which just adds a little bit of heat and additional flavor but it's still fairly mild heat-wise. the mayo or aioli sauce couples nicely with the fried chicken piece along with the crunch of the lettuce and the soft toasted potato roll. overall, a good satisfying sandwich that is a cut above the rinse-and-repeat of an okay chicken sandwiches from huge fast food places. the staff isn't very chatty, but they seem busy getting your food ready as quickly as possible. the space is really really small but colorful and cleanly maintained. there weren't any tables and chairs when i was here bc it has more of a delivery/takekout vibe. overall, this place serves enjoyable comfort food via a menu that centers around fried chicken and ain't nothing wrong with that!

I was traveling in china in May and really missed the fried chicken in the neighborhood. I was so surprised that I found this place. I got the crispy chicken burger and 3 piece tenders. The fried chicken is exactly like the one I had in china! It's so crispy and tender. The meat is juicy and when you tear it, the meat just cames off easily. The bun is soft and ingredients are incredibly fresh. They make everything to order so when your food comes out, it is piping hot. The lady in the front is so hospitable and nice. The store is open by a family and the service is phenomenal. This is my second time here and I will keep coming back. I can easily say the fried chicken here is easily one of the best I’ve had in NYC.

It was my first time checking this spot out, so while I was on a break from work, I ordered the two-piece signature chicken just to try it. After I paid, they let me know it would take about 18 minutes. Since I couldn’t wait that long, they kindly helped me switch my order to chicken tenders instead. I also ordered a biscuit. They even gave me an extra chicken tender, which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture. I usually try to avoid fried food, but a few times a month I really crave good fried chicken. Even though I love fried chicken, it’s hard for me to truly enjoy most local spots. Popeyes used to be amazing when I was younger, but it just doesn’t hit the same anymore. From the very first bite of the chicken tender here, I was honestly amazed. I was so happy to finally find a place that gets it right. The chicken was perfectly crispy, not oily at all, juicy, and tender. This is hands down the best fried chicken I’ve had in a very long time. This will definitely be my go-to spot whenever I’m craving crispy chicken tenders, a sandwich, or fried chicken. The biscuit was also delicious, and I’m looking forward to trying more items on the menu. Thank you so much for your kindness to a first-time customer and for the extra chicken tender. I absolutely love this place! I come here almost every time — not just for the food, but because the people here are genuinely amazing. They’re always so friendly, welcoming, and treat you like family. The atmosphere feels warm and personal every time I visit. And their chicken? This place is super solid for casual takeout fried chicken. I got the Signature Chicken Combo 3pc with Chicken Skewers as a side ($12). The chicken skewers is a great option as a side, and tasted as good as authentic skewers. The fried chicken was amazing too - it was super crispy on the outside and insanely juicy in the inside too. For a casual takeout place, this blew me away. They also give you plastic gloves for the chicken, which is a really nice addition. Also, 3 pieces of chicken, 2 chicken skewers, a biscuit, and a soda for $12 is insane value, especially in NYC.

This is the best chicken money can buy. I love this place. Chicken burger SPICY. Order it. Not too spicy but the kick is there. unreal .. bun is soft. Chicken is actually so crispy, so juicy, insanely tender, flavor is delectable. You can hear the crunch on every bite of that sandwich. Mouthwatering. Everything is cooked to order. Fries are hot and crispy no sogginess detected. Sauces are delicious. Service is consistently friendly and amazing. They make everything to order so allow a couple minutes wait time for walk in orders/pickup. Local gem.

A great spot that you should visit if you’re in the area and hungry! They marinade their chicken (super crispy, juicy and flavorful) and they make the syrups for the lemonades too. The strawberry lemonade was one of the best I’ve had. The crispy chicken sandwich was phenomenal. I got the combo with a side (fries) and a drink. The sweet chili mayo was tasty too. The employees were great as well 🙌

This unpretentious little fried chicken spot in the East Village is a sleeper hit. My friend brought me to this small little restaurant a few weeks ago and I've come back twice already. The chicken sandwich is shatteringly crispy as the name implies. It kind of reminds me of an elevated KFC sandwich (specifically the KFCs in Asia). The buns are nice and soft, veggies are included and there's a delicious "secret" mayonnaise. If you get the combo, you have an abundant choice of sides, including 6-piece nuggets! When I saw they had an entire fried chicken on the menu as well, I knew I had to come back to try it. I brought it to a small Thanksgiving gathering and it was a hit! The bird was picked clean. The prices here are also really good and the staff are very nice. The chicken sandwich is $7 (or $12 for a combo) and the friend whole chicken was only $15! As a bonus, there's a game you can play to win a random prize.

Got the nuggets and they were the juiciest nuggets I've had in my life. Delicious!! Would love to come back to try other items

Spicy Chicken sandwich is very good- big crispy chicken, moist inside, and good amount of flavor. 50¢ Extra for pickles but so worth it. Chicken sandwich itself is $6.99 -- what a steal! Only $1 more dollar than popeyes chicken sandwich and loads better. This will be my go-to for chicken sandwiches in the city when I'm not feeling popeyes. We also got chicken thighs and leg combo which were decent, including mash potato, house sauce, and a drink. We enjoyed dining in at the few bar seating. Also, this is the only place with pumpkin cakes! Very chinese. Crispy but not much pumpkin flavor. This place itself reminds me of chinatown's 98K chicken, but chicken is not fried like theirs, much better.

Times Square, NYC Crispy Burger has everything chicken you love such as Popcorn chicken, chicken wings, fried chicken sandwhiches, grilled chicken, and more!! The most satisfying crunch from this crispy Chicken Sandwhich has me running back for more!! Every bite was so fulfilling and I honestly needed a second one Full of their sauce, tomato, lettuce, and of course chicken!!

Really tasty! The chicken is incredibly juicy under thick and crunchy breading. The fries are good and well seasoned and the biscuit was pretty good too. I really liked the sauces to. I tried the "house mayonnaise" and the "pineapple mayonnaise". I really liked the pineapple mayonnaise. It brought this sweetness that I think goes great with chicken--it's almost like a honey mustard but with more zest--highly recommend! The service here was fantastic. The woman working gave me an extra piece of chicken as they were out of the spicy pieces. The food was quick but tasted fresh and delicious. Solid meal for 16 dollars. Definitely will come again

Haven't had a fried chicken burger that didn't feel like I was actively clogging my arteries until now. This burger was SO good. All their chicken is fried to order, so you get it absolutely fresh, it doesn't taste greasy at all . The burger had a nice spicy kick without it being too overwhelming. The chicken tenders were really chrispy as well. Staff was really nice too, they were helpful in explaining what's popular, making sure to ask preferences for cooking and checking in while I was eating there. They also had a fun game promotion going on that could potentially win you a free meal. I will definitely be back for another meal

Came to try this place out a few months ago when they were newly opened. I have to say that I was very impressed with their food items. The Crispy Chicken Burger was the top item that stood out to me. This sandwich wins all of the Crispy Chicken Sandwich debate. It's better than Chick-Fil-A's, Popeyes, and Raising Cane's. The chicken itself is juicy while it's perfectly battered and taste amazing. Other items we tried included the Signature Fried Chicken Combo. All I can say is they're better than KFC and Popeyes. If you really want to go to the extreme, you can get an entire Whole Fried Chicken. This alone is enough to feed a family. Their execution is on point as all of these chicken are well battered and the meat is juicy. If fried chicken isn't your thing, they have other menu options that are worth trying, such as the Grilled Wings (instead of frying) and Pumpkin Cakes filled with red bean inside. Also got to try their Strawberry Green Tea, which is super refreshing and much needed after munching on all of these fried food.

Very reasonable prices for fast, yummy fried chicken! The sandwich was very juicy and had a generous amount of mayo and a few pieces of lettuce. Honestly reminded me of a fancy mcchicken but thats a win in my book lol. The chicken skewers i got as my side were also very flavorful and were just as good the next day after reheating in air fryer. Service was pretty fast and they packaged it well for me. Would come back next time im craving fried chicken!

Saw this place in flushing but didn't get to try. Saw it for delivery and it was solid. The cried chicken sandwich wasn't bad. The chicken wings were okay. I've had better but it's a solid place for both. I would not go out of my way to get it.

Delicious, fast food Fried Chicken joint. If you ever had a Spicy McChicken Fillet burger from McDonald's in China. This captures 95% of the taste of that burger imo. Chicken was so tender, juicy, and fresh. Asked for a spicy burger - they told me it wasn't too spicy, but it still gave a good kick! Will definitely be back.

Really good fried chicken! I also liked the fries and the chicken skewers. I'd love to come back and try some more items. The regular chicken was fine, but the fried chicken is definitely the star. There's not a lot of seating here so be prepared to take it to go. The service was very nice and it took a little while but all the food was piping hot!

I have to say, it doesn't look like much, but this is an absolutely remarkable chicken sandwich at a great price, and the staff is nice.

I am one Happy Camper after eating at Crispy Chicken! The service was warm and friendly. The chicken was crispy and juicy! I tried both the chicken tenders and the popcorn chicken for comparison. (Perhaps I fancy myself a bit of an amateur food critic - the Elite badge has gone to my head, haha :-D). They have many dipping sauces to try that meld so well with the palate, and they taste of fresh good quality ingredients. I was recommended the house special sauce, the pineapple mayo sauce, and the sweet chili sauce. The burger was very flavorful and tasted of a zesty mustardy Big Mac type of sauce with lettuce and cheese. The mash potatoes had a pleasant peppery gravy topping the buttery spuds. The biscuits also had nice flavor, and I've been burned many times by flavorless biscuits at other establishments! (Shaking my Fist!) The fries were thick, crispy and well-seasoned. The onion rings had an old school vibe to them, like what you would get in a school cafeteria - Ah...nostalgia. The chicken skewers were roasted well though they had a very pervasive cumin taste which is not personally my cup of tea, but I can respect how well cooked they were. If you enjoy Cumin, and roasted meats, you will love them! The Roasted Orleans leg was an unusual cut, a dark meat leg/thigh quartered chicken combo. If you wish to play with your food, yes, it resembles a pistol, haha. It was so unbelievably juicy, it was even leaking through the aluminum foil when I removed it from its paper wrapper, and dug into it with my fork as it was still piping hot, (I am normally a hands eater). Be warned - Get your napkin bib ready before going to town - Looks be damned, keep that shirt clean at all costs! ;-)The whole order was well packaged with care. Smartly, there are air holes built into the packages to allow steam to escape so as not to make the fried foods soggy. Note that this is a very small place. There is no bathroom for customers, and only six high bar stools are available to sit at the counter inside, but they do offer hand sanitizer. Take care upon entry and departure as there is a single high step to traverse from the sidewalk. I will definitely be introducing this place to my coworker!

it's halal!!! highly recommend the popcorn chicken, tenders, and nuggets with the house sauce. we made a makeshift sammy by plopping a tendy in the biscuit and that was good too. just 4-5 seats inside so more of a fast food option. this spot just opened up in april 2024, i think expanding from a flushing location. love having another late night option by east village pizza - open til 3am on weekends!

I got a regular crispy burger and a spicy crispy burger. Both were ok, not bad but not good either. While they were crispy indeed, the chicken felt a little too weirdly unsubstantial like there was too much batter but little of the chicken inside to balance out the breadiness of the bun. My dinner partner thought his was greasy. So, then I was wondering what all the rave reviews were about. Were they written by friends of the business? I also got fries. Now that was a surprise because the fries were actually delicious! Crispy with an interesting texture - not smooth but kind of rough on the outside which felt yummy to bite into. Both myself and my dinner partner thought the same about the fries and the burgers. If I ever went back it would be to get an order of fries, not the burgers.

Service and location are great but food has been a bit hit or miss. The fried chicken is pretty well flavored and the skin is always a great crispiness but on two separate occasions we have found the chicken to be a bit undercooked in the center. One in a chicken sandwich and once in their signature bone-in fried chicken. This obviously impacted our enjoyment of the meal and makes me hesitant to go back for a 3rd time. We also got a beef burger once and what we got could barely be described as burger, it was a paper thin patty that was very burnt. They still get three stars because the chicken that is cooked properly is solid and is priced well.

OMG The customer service was soooooooo good. I didn't even realize they forgot my fries in the bag but they called me within like 5 mins to then deliver a fresh new box of fries and then gave me a drink too. The food itself is really good tastes just like the chicken burger shops in China iykyk. DEF give this place a try, not too pricy at all.

Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. And at good prices and a very nice staff. The sides were great and the chicken was so crispy. Will definitely revisit.

We ordered the whole fried chicken combo, it was fresh and juicy! My husband usually like KFC but he said he will be going to Crispy Burger more often. The fires were good and plentiful and the chili mayo was very tasty. If you like fried chicken definitely worth a try.
