"Croissan'Time is everything you want in a great bakery, and this French spot is where your casual and/or last-minute breakfast/brunch plans should happen. You walk in and are greeted by a slightly overwhelming amount of options—everything from sweet pastries to baguettes to French hot dogs stuffed into rolls like a cold camper in a sleeping bag. They also have cooked dishes like croque monsieur, crepes, and a pan bagnat. Order at the counter when you’ve finally made the very hard decision, then grab a seat on the covered patio (most of the seating is outside), where there’s sometimes a band playing on the weekend. " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

Yummy croissant with spinach and mushrooms topped with Swiss cheese. So large I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Great looking and tasting pastries. They give you a sugar stick for your coffee. The have a deli department and a great selection of French foods, jams, and treats. I can definitely recommend. I will be back! Staff not so great but, The food was!

Google
Yummy sweet treats all around, Croissan’Time offers a wide variety of pastries you can try. The atmosphere is on par with a cafe. Quick service, yummy treats, and loads of baguettes (if you call in first)!

Google
Never disappointed. Perfect cappuccino especially with the swizzle stick. Ham and cheese bechamel is superb and flavorful. Pastries are awesome. Not overly sweet. Pistachio mini eclair is my new favorite. Mocha is delicious as well. Best croissants. Half baguette is perfect when you don want a lot. Update April 5, 2025 Awesome cappuccino and spinach and mushroom be game l croissant as well as mousse cake!

Google
These are the best croissants I have ever had from anywhere in the world. The butter to dough ratio is insane. The key is to order them frozen and bake them yourself at home. Nothing better than these croissants fresh out of the oven! Highly highly recommend!!!

✨ 5 Stars – A Slice of Paris in Every Bite! ✨ Croissant Time French Bakery is a true gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm, buttery aroma wraps around you like a cozy hug. Their croissants are perfection—flaky, golden, and delicately crisp on the outside, with soft, airy layers inside. Every pastry I’ve tried tastes like it was made with love and tradition. The almond croissant is a must—rich, nutty, and just the right touch of sweet. Their baguettes are crusty on the outside and fluffy inside, exactly how a real French baguette should be. And don’t get me started on the éclairs and fruit tarts… absolute heaven! The staff is kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable—they’re clearly passionate about what they do. Whether you’re grabbing a quick espresso and pastry or taking home a full box of treats, the experience is always delightful. Croissant Time isn’t just a bakery—it’s a little taste of France right here at home. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates authentic, top-quality French baked goods! 🥐🇫🇷❤️

Update: Not sure if it’s under new management or they have a new supplier but the quality has drastically gone down, once elegant and tasty the cakes have started to look very cheap. You can also see the imperfections in some of the decorations. Also they had a lot of cakes with alcohol and very little without, was not happy with the cake I got, not only was it subpar from what I’ve gotten in the past but it was overly sweet and didn’t state fresh. Hope they go back to the high standards or I will not be back. You won't find another place with pastries and cakes like this. This bakery is my go to for special occasion cakes. Their mousse cakes are refreshing and airy, and the croissant sandwiches are big and filling. When it's not too busy (during the week), I like to sit outside by the bushes with pretty flowers and watch the little birds while enjoying brunch. Highly recommend.

Google
Delicious local bakery that’s been around forever. Never had a bad pastry here. Came in with a friend and was a little surprised at the prices, but inflation is everywhere these days. I’m happy paying a bit more and supporting local. They have both indoor and outdoor tables to eat in, as well as a small grocery store in addition to the bakery. Greta place to go for a sweet treat or light lunch.

If you're looking for an authentic French café experience, Croissant Time Bakery is the place to visit. From the moment you walk in, the warm aroma of freshly baked pastries transports you straight to a Parisian boulangerie. The selection of sweets and pastries is impressive—everything from flaky croissants to decadent tarts. Each item is crafted with care and tastes absolutely divine. The quality and authenticity are unmatched. The café itself is spotless and well-maintained, with plenty of parking available, making it convenient to stop by any time. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with recommendations. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a coffee or a box of treats to share, Croissant Time Bakery delivers in every way. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates exceptional French pastries!

Yelp
Such a cute little shop with every bakery good you could think of. It smells amazing in here and the line moves very fast for a Sunday morning too! They have three separate spaces as well as a full relic with meats and cheeses in one. The croissants were amazing and the quiche tasted so great. We got a chicken/ mushroom quiche and a salmon croissant sandwich.

Yelp
Fantastic French bakery with good atmosphere and great but pricey food. 4 star food: the food itself is great but prices are roughly double what you expect. 4 star service: the counter staff is friendly. The service is primarily self service, which seems odd at a premium price 4 star ambience: outside it's an older strip shopping plaza. Inside it's good quiet ambience

Fayee T.

Yelp
Always delicious French style variety of cakes, pastries, sandwiches and wraps Consistency is the quality of the food quality and preparation It's order and pick up at the counter but sometimes if sitting outside a waiter will bring the order and it's very homey friendly and relaxing ambiance Recommended for breakfast, brunch or lunch and early dinner ( I think they open till 7:00pm or 5:00 pm depending on which day of the week

Yelp
I have been coming here for around 10 years now, a friend of mine told me I had to try this place for the loaf of bread called "Eppie" -sp-. I went, I was instantly hooked, I have turned so many people onto this GEM, I mean it, it's a GEM! If you get there early enough for the Eppie bread or browse there decadent variety of sweets and all kinds of other great choices. Want one better??? Come by here, order a sandwich made with fresh bread have a seat in the courtyard and people watch in the casual atmosphere while enjoying what I promise you, a mouthwatering delight! Whatcha Got? THIS IS IT!

Rochelle K.

Yelp
I've actually been anxious to try this place because I been wanting to find a good bakery place like in France. Finally gave it a try today and wasn't disappointed with the pastries. Plenty of options and I tried 6 pastries for $18. Seems like the store still developing on their other items such as the wine. Overall nice clean place.. staff are welcoming. Pastries are so good. I highly recommend this place. I definitely will be returning.

Michael C.

Yelp
Whenever we need a sweet pastry, cake our go to is Croissant' Time. Always on point. And all the workers there are pleasant. The layout is very nice. There's a reason this place has been around for a long time and hopefully for more to come. Highly recommend, will be back!:)

Nick R.

Yelp
Highly disappointed. This bakery has really gone downhill since I previously visited. The plain croissants we ordered were a shadow of what they used to be when I would come here. They were hard. The coffee was also disappointing. My wife ordered a cappuccino. It was $6.85 for a small! The quiche was also underwhelming. Service not so friendly. No smiles or greeting

Charlotte A.

Yelp
I love this place, but the bread is a bit empty inside and pricey for what you get. But It's worth it for the taste, though.

Kim A.

Yelp
Cute place, friendly staff, excellent croissants, desserts, and sandwiches! I stumbled on this restaurant today, and I am absolutely glad I did. I ordered a tuna salad croissant sandwich, which was made with all fresh ingredients. The croissant was perfectly flaky on the outside, fluffy and airy on the inside, with a chunky, savory tuna salad. It really hit the spot. As I am writing this review, I am thinking about going back in to order an eclair... because, Why not? It has to be just as spectacular as the croissant! ... Umm, yeah, so I definitely went back in and got a fruit tart, a mini eclair with vanilla custard and fruit, and a pistachio macaroon. Who told me to do that?! So freaking good! I almost bit my bottom lip. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I sat outside and enjoyed my sandwich and pastries! Everything was fresh, handcrafted, and delicious! I WILL be back again very soon!

Maksim S.

Yelp
Nice selection of sandwiches and desserts. Indoor and outdoor tables. Good service.

Yevgeniya R.

Yelp
The way I heard of this place is from work. We had few of our costumes bring us treats from here and they were always delicious and fresh. This time I decided to drive by and check this place out. They have such a big selections of pastries, cakes, deli, food and drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful! It is in a pricey side depending on your budget but it's worth trying out!

Raphael R.

Yelp
A French bakery in Ft. Lauderdale with a large assortment of pastries and breads. There are tables where you can eat in or take out. A favorite of mine.

David L.

Yelp
Whenever I'm in the area, mostly for cruises, I always try to stop by here for some great French bakeries. They have the BEST French baguettes in the US. I love this place because as soon you walk in, your sensory starts to kick into overdrive. The fresh smell of breads, croissants, etc fill your nostril. There is no other places that I have been to in the US comes close to it. My only regret is not being able to buy everything and bring them home with me. So if you are not local, make sure to stop by here if you get the chance. You won't regret it

Jerald M C.

Yelp
I have been there a number of times their croissants fresh crispy outside and soft pillowy inside yum had their pate sandwich oh gosh my arteries thanked me for the deliciousness!! Their cookies and desserts always make every one happy

Eva C.

Yelp
How did I drive by this bakery so many times without stopping in? It's located conveniently on North Federal Highway, in a brick-red strip mall next to USPS. I stopped by on a Sunday morning and followed the live guitar music, which led me inside to a large bakery that is bigger than it looks from the outside. Despite being packed, there was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Established in the 1980s, this place is uniquely French and comfortably casual. Walking in surprised me--I was stunned by the rows and rows of croissants, French specialty pastries, and sweet and savory cakes. The menu also serves sandwich options. To the left, you'll find a huge selection French cheeses, cured meats, and dainty chocolates. To the right, you'll find the espresso bar and indoor seating. Service is fast, and prices are slightly on the higher side. We ordered double espresso lattes, which was served with rock candy, as well as a breakfast croissant (topped with turkey, brie, and pickles). I hope to come by again soon, next time I am going to try the kir royal. Give this place a try! You definitely can't miss it--just follow the advertising on the road with balloons.

Yelp
Food is good but small portions and overpriced. Rude employees who rush you screaming who's next all the time . Just stand there and let the customers take it all in , I'm sure they'll Ask to order when ready or stand there like a manikin, just don't be so pushy with customers . Most ridiculous thing is they wouldn't even cut my baguette sandwich into 3,. I had to do it myself with a plastic knife , they said they can only cut it in half . The most ridiculous thing I ever heard . Time to move on . Similar place on Oakland park blvd with nicer employees

Kim S.

Yelp
The fragrance of delicious pastries permeates this small shop. There are several items from which to choose. There are fancy cakes, pastries, sandwiches and coffees. We stood in a line for about ten minutes but we were able to see what we wanted to eat. One very nice thing about this shop is that they often offer a smaller version of the pastry. That way we can try several!!

Batsell S.

Yelp
If you enjoy zoos and by that I mean being an animal in a zoo completely surrounded by other animals on crack with a staff that has no idea what the hell is going on you will love this place. No order, no direction, asking you what you want from the other side of the restaurant when you're following the directions on the floor that tell you to order at a certain spot and no one is there. Have no idea how good the food is because I left before I could order because the chaos was too much.

Paige B.

Yelp
The women working here were so attentive and graceful. It's a very small space and a little overwhelming with the GORGEOUS PASTRIES! There's a massive variety of beautiful baked goods. The prosciutto baguette transported me back to France with one bite. Will be back.

Steve V.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty crowded. There was live music on their patio (a guy and his guitar) and the line inside was confusing for this first-timer. There are two halves of the place including a third, more grocery-like area to the far left. I see in some pictures they used to have arrows on the ground, looks like during COVID. I think they need those back. I ordered pastries and sandwiches from the only line there is and paid at the end. I had a designated person helping me the whole time which was nice and we got our pastries right away. We were able to find a table inside and got our sandwiches within 10 minutes. I got the Pan Bagnat and it was good, but I ended up wishing I got the Bechamel. The bread was really good and my sandwich was loaded, but was a bit messy to eat. My pastry was a Nutella one that was pricey, but well worth it!

Laura P.

Yelp
Yummy pastries and the quiche was great overall the food could be warmer in temp but cut place to grab a quick bite fresh oj is yummy

Laima P.

Yelp
I was visiting this place since 2005 and anytime I am back I pay a visit to Croissan'Time It's a good place to have a sandwich (on freshly baked baguette what can go wrong?) they do bake bread on the premises if you would like to take home. My favorite sandwich is with smoked salmon but there is a big choice to choose from. They do offer soup of the Day - every day is different! I also like their quiches (they have them in different sizes and flavors) . Leak quiche is my favorite The choice of pastries is big and sizes are different (mini and regular) There is a small stand of gourmet French food and alcohol if you want something exquisite! Cakes are very tasty too and different sizes if you need to take for celebration If you like truffles - I highly recommend Grand Marnier truffle dusted with powder- delicious! The flavor is dense and heavy! You'll need only 1-2 bites to fulfill your chocolate craving. Please visit this spot and enjoy! I am sure you'll find something here that will be bringing you again and again!

Yelp
More like 3 1/2 stars this time, but I've been here many times in the past and had better experiences. No matter what, it's still pretty good -- especially their wonderful French bakery items. The restaurant has been around over 30 years. It's expanded a bit since I first started coming. There's inside and outdoor seating on the patio, but many people do takeout. It's located in a busy shopping strip (with other restaurants) on the west side of US 1/Federal Highway. You order by the pastry cases or the "main" counter. There's now another little room with all sorts of other "fine foods". In addition to their namesake croissants (and there's quite a few), there are daily baked breads, a wide array of pastries -- individual and specialty cakes and pies. All are made on the premises. The "to eat" items are hot entrees, salads, sandwiches, and a soup of the day. They can customize items as well for a charcuterie plate or a mini version of your choice. Did I mention their cookies and chocolates? Anyhow, we were able to snag one of few inside tables. You pay by the "other" counter. I ordered a tomato/mozzarella salad. It was pre-made and I was told to get it from the case. I'd wanted a salmon one but they were out of them. My husband got a two scoop tuna salad. His was made fresh -- and was much better than mine. Each salad came with a choice of roll (sour dough, French, etc). We also shared an almond croissant. That was delicious --filled with lots of flavorful almond paste and topped with copious slivered almonds. It was not overly sweet, either. My kind of dessert. I'd definitely return, but next time get one of their sandwiches that I've enjoyed on my previous visits. Plus one of their yummy pastries, too, of course.

Kaylynn S.

Yelp
Always delicious!!!! And the prices are great! They have both sweet and savory croissants that are equally good. The customer service is also always amazing

Siana L.

Yelp
Freshly baked goods, cafe style dining. Indoor and outdoor seating available. You can order bulk to go, or sit and take something from the display or menu. The pastries are excellent so fresh! Loved it

Angela P.

Yelp
I have been going here since I was a small child. Not only are the pastries amazing but the food service bar they offer is amazing as well. It's a cute little place but can get busy. Has some small seating availability inside but they offer tons of shaded seating on the patio. Live music sometimes on weekends. 12/10!

Neil K.

Yelp
The food is some of the best food I have had. It is probaly the best authentic French bakery in the country. I highly recommend the ham quiche. The cappuccino is outstanding. The staff is super friendly and kind and so is the owner. It has a very kind atmosphere inside.

Gaylene G.

Yelp
Awesome bakery goods but owner and staff could use some customer service training. I understand they are busy but they are rarely friendly even when they're not slammed. Feels like a scene from Soup Nazi.

May L.

Yelp
The bakery seems very old timey and has a traditional look to it. Nothing about Croissant'Time is modern, but the taste from the desserts are classic! We got the raspberry chocolate soufflé, two chocolate pastries, a key lime pie, and croissant for tomorrow morning. I loved my chocolate pastries. My fiancé described his key lime pie as so-so. I absolutely loved the service we had at the bakery. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area and craving French style pastries.

Moriah P.

Yelp
By far my favorite bakery in Fort Lauderdale! Friendly staff and amazing pastries! I don't think I've had one thing from here I didn't like. I've recently become obsessed with their selections of croissant sandwiches, they are perfect for a quick lunch.

Tara K.

Yelp
Their croissants are really amazing. Buttery, soft and flakey. I wasn't a huge fan of the bread or the sandwiches but honestly, they could make just croissants and they'd be worth the drive.

Samir M.

Yelp
This place doesn't miss!!!! Food is always great here. Cheapest ticket to France!!!! Fresh bread, cakes, and food all day!!! Friendly staff. Can't go wrong with this one!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of croissants, but i'm a big fan of this one. The croissant had the perfect amount of chocolate. The espresso was the perfect pick-me-up and I loved the sugar stick! They have so many options so I will definitely be back to try more things!

Sharon K.

Yelp
Today I stopped by Croissant Time. Long time customer. Among other things I bought the smaller size chocolate croissants. When we ate them at home I was shocked to discover how bad the quality has become. The "fresh" croissant bought at 10 am tasted stale, felt like the quality of the butter was also poor and just a thin line of chocolate on one side. This is disgusting! A bakery that prides itself on its French patisserie goods and is actually named "Croissant " Time serves this kind of awful choc croissant. Even costco or Publix would be better. Such a disappointment. I'm not going back and will caution others to watch out for their baked goods.

Bryan M.

Yelp
Great croissants. Lovely ladies at the counter but sometimes the owner comes off as a little boujee , just saying !

Elaine T.

Yelp
Very disappointed with the food. Beside that. Interior had a face lift. Very nice but still doesn't alleviate the congestion at ordering & checkout counter. Very poor selection of French pastries. We have been a customer for over 20 years & this may be our last encounter. We selected eclairs, chocolate & plain pastries, apple turnovers, French bread. We had coffee & hot chocolate there. Pastries & bread not fresh. Very dry & tasteless., for our $55 bill.

David B.

Yelp
Sacrilege! Anyone that gives this place anything less than five stars is nothing but a biased hater. They are the BEST French bakery in the tri-county area. Absolute treat! If I had a critique is the staff sometimes is a bit snooty. A small pittance for the love and time put into all the little puffs of heaven.

Amy F.

Yelp
Always enjoy this place. I always feel like a kid in a candy shop here. Positively scruptious!

Todd F.

Yelp
Food is great and the coffee is The best... the problem is the line.. always a madhouse and if you would only like a coffee.. you must stand in the only line which is everyone ordering and picking out pastry... it is maddening. They should have a separate line for coffee or a quick pastry. Also, outside tables are old and half of them are wobbly.

Dave P.

Yelp
There are view good bakery places that absolutely delight you upon entry, eating, and dining. This does all of them well. We wish we found them earlier in our trip because we would have gone daily. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant looked wonderful and that you could tour without pressure. And all of it is a perfect recipe of have a relaxing time. We will remember this bakery fondly and will hold other bakeries to the standard from this place

Inderjit M.

Yelp
The best fresh, flaky croissants ever! I always have a croissant craving and this place is my go-to. Ordered an assortment of butter, chocolate, and apricot croissants-- this box won't last me too long because I simply can't resist!

Yamila D.

Yelp
Went out for a drive and decided to drive to Croissan'Time. It's a cute spot and there is outside sitting. I did find some things pricey for the actual size of the item. The desserts were very tasty and the baguette was just right. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. That I would buy over and over again. Overall everything we ordered was really good.

Ariel W.

Yelp
I was craving an authentic croissant and my search for one led me to Croissan'Time. Sacrebleu! How have I not been here before? Founded by baker and pastry chef Bernard Cassehey in 1986, it has been open at Sunrise Square on Federal Highway ever since. As soon as I walked in the door I was immersed in the smells and sights of a wonderland of French food. As I made my way around I saw that there are three rooms to explore. The first is the fine foods area stocked with frozen and refrigerated items, foie gras, caviar, salmon, wine, exotic cheese. The next room is the bakery with its cases of breads, croissants, cakes, tarts, miniature pastries macaroons, and homemade chocolates. Finally there is the deli where they prepare sandwiches on fresh baked bread, quiches, croque-monsieurs, and crêpes. The selection of delectable bites, both sweet and savory is staggering. They have the most beautiful cakes to make your celebrations extra special and if you brought a box of pastries from here you would be welcomed wherever you go. The line was quite long on the day I visited so get here early. They open at 7. !

Andrea J.

Yelp
The flakiest, freshest breads and croissants outside of France! Such a great bakery, and amazing staff. Very fresh and quickly made. Can't wait to go back.

Charles R.

Yelp
Maybe it has slipped a little since the new owners took over. I had an almond croissant which was soft and soggy. Not what it used to be. Also none of the help speaks English. My wife asked for ice with her coffee. No ice was given. I had a double expresso which usually comes with a spoon (for stirring a sweetener) and a twist of lemon peel. Neither of those were provided. This is a fabulous business but needs more attention to detail.

Zach S.

Yelp
Pretty good spot for authentic pastries and deserts. We were looking for a spot that had strong unique deserts. This place tries hard to be a 5 but still comes up short. But a worthy pit stop if you live or drive close by.

Scott C.

Yelp
Stop listen and get to this restaurant as soon as possible. This is what a bakery is all about what great service unbelievable taste the croissants are to die for five stars the bread amazing I don't know what else to say. I wish I found this place Sooner

Dennis J.

Yelp
Excellent pastry bakery in Fort Lauderdale FL. Multiple options of freshly baked bread and pastries. Minor drawback. Limited seating indoors and out, hence the high takeout traffic. Great service. Will certainly return on my next visit to Fort Lauderdale.

Angie A.

Yelp
The best, hadn't been here in years and I forgot how good it was. I ordered a cake for a work event and it was delicious and beautiful. Everyone was raving about the cake and it was worth every penny. I will definitely be coming back more often. The service was great, they helped me carry the cake since it was a big one and the girls were really nice and attentive.
