"There are a few too many caveats keeping us from recommending Dos Croquetas, a shop in Westchester that makes croquetas with unconventional flavors. The croquetas may come in fun trays with individual slots and designated dipping sauces like mojo aioli. But the vast majority of the options here aren’t great—we’ve been twice, tried every flavor, and noticed a consistent sourness that gets less subtle as the croquetas cool down. They also cost $2.20 each, which feels especially stiff considering you can go to Islas Canarias and pay $1.49 for croquetas twice as good. If you end up here, order the Mexican street corn and bacon cheddar hamburger croquetas, and eat them quickly so they’re nice and hot." - Virginia Otazo

We got a free of the croquettes here, and they were good! We got a pumpkin one for the Halloween season and a ham one. Both were very good and fresh. Cute shop overall, and definitely recommend checking it out. There's not much seating inside though.

Incredible, authentic, and quaint place! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the croquetas weren’t so greasy that the fat seeped onto my fingers or into the napkins. Cuban sandwich is perfectly thin and crispy, not like other Cuban sandwiches that leave you feeling overly stuffed. The only drawback for me was their lack of vegetarian options; the exact day we visited they were out of the only vegetarian sandwich. Pablo is very friendly :)

Google
Cuban sandwich is delicious. They cook their own pork for this sandwich, and it is amazing. Very friendly owners. A couple small tables inside and one outside. Very nice place!

Outstanding place!!! We came all the way from New Orleans and it was a must-have stop for the best Cuban sandwich we have ever had, hands down! The croquettes were also outstanding!!! You can tell everything here is made with a lot of thought and care. And the service was top notch! A super friendly, family run business where everyone could not have been any nicer or more welcoming. We will definitely be making the trip back to get it again- it’s worth the trip, whenever you are!

CROQUETERIA HAS THE BEST CUBAN SANDWICHES! I came from the Bronx took a drive to sleepy Hollow to try it out! Delicious 😋

Google
I think it is important to rate a restaurant fairly and I made a massive mistake by choosing to come here because it has 4.9 rating. They were basically out of everything. . The chicken croquettes were seriously gross. The sandwich was alright. The guy at the front was nice but the area was kinda slummy. I wish I had gone some where else.

I was extremely disappointed with my visit to Croqueteria. I had such high hopes from the reviews and was immediately let down as soon as I walked in the door. Was greeted with basically a frown and made to feel like I was there to solicit for something "Can I help you with something"... I immediately said, well, yeah, I'm here to order food... LOL. We also couldn't use the restroom (after a 2 hour drive), even though we were patrons... The best part...the croquettes were some of the worst. The only salvageable one was the spinach and feta and even that was bland. The chicken one tasted like dog food and made my sister and I feel ill. Even my daughter couldn't finish the sweet pumpkin one. So, overall.... on top of the unwelcoming attitude and inedible food..... I would never recommend.

Yelp
This spot is a gem and the service is always on point. Chicken croquette is to die for. Absolute must try!!

Yelp
Steak sandwich without the steak! $16 for bread! I Was expecting a little more meat than that but they told me it's skirt steak and that's what you get.

Yelp
Easily the Best Cuban sandwich in New York. And I've been looking for a while ever since I last visited Florida Go for it!!!

Yelp
Croqueteria is a super unique shop near Tarrytown, which features *wait for it* ....croquettes (a.k.a. croquettas)! ...and I can personally attest: They offer up some pretty tasty ones at that! Croqueteria has all the typical flavors you have known to grow and love (or possibly grew up with)--namely, ham and cheese, chicken, fish, and potato. Then there's the specialty ones: spinach and cheese, crab meat, black bean, and pumpkin (yes, for the fall time)! They change up their special croquettas often. Besides their namesake, Croqueteria also serves up other cuban delights--cuban sandwiches, ropa vieja, cuban sodas, etc. One final shout out to the staff! They were al super friendly and very helpful. Be sure to check Croqueteria if you are nearby!! Eat some for now and take even more home! You'll be glad you did.

Yelp
What an absolute treat. We popped in here a couple of days ago on a whim, the wife needed to spend some amex money to get her airline points, and they made the list. So we walked over, and got ourselves two sandwiches. Both owners, or the owner and his mom where there and we had a lovely chat about NYC, trains, earthquakes and the joys of snow when we were kids. I got the pulled pork sand, and she got the Cuban, which may be their signature. Both were extremely tasty, and when I sent my brother the picture below he replied, why haven't you taken me here, so next time we will. They have a wide assortment of croquettes which we didn't try, but we are keen to next time. Overall, wonderful experience, people and food, and if you're in the area you should pop in.

Yelp
food was cold and nasty made me throw up multiple times im thinking about suing cause of food poisoning

Alfredo D.

Yelp
A bit pricey but the food was decent. Half of the croquetas were still cold in the center though (I assume one type had to be fried directly from the freezer?). Was already at least a mile away when we found out. I won't be harsh because they clearly are trying their best and accidents happen to the best of us.

Desi K.

Yelp
I had lunch here yesterday with my husband and loved the croquetas. I grew up in Miami eating homemade ones all the time since my parents are both from Cuba. I live in Connecticut now and it was great to find this place while we were exploring Sleepy Hallow. I'll be back to try more of their food soon!

Alejandra A.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem for authentic Cuban treats. I am Cuban and I have been craving croquetas since I came to this country and I felt so lucky to discover it. The flavors are amazing, the place feels welcoming and home like. Niurka and her family are very nice. Talking with her was like going back and meeting a friend. Very recommended if you're around.

Yelp
¡Ay dios mío! Croqueteria delivers on comida Cubana y más! My mom and I went and the service, atmosphere, food and location are excelente! We had a couple of croquetas and then ordered 6 more because they were soooo good. Also shared a Cuban sandwich... the bread and ingredients super fresh and pressed just right! Everything is clean and nearly decorated. As my mom and I are Cubanas, we really enjoyed a great treat to talk with the owners about nyc, the weather, and of course good cooking. There was a family visiting from Pennsylvania and we all joined in conversation... just an all around super time. Giving five stars but would give MORE if I could. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Yelp
This is a great little spot to stumble upon in Sleepy Hollow. It's a hole in the wall, which to me is an endearing description, with 2 little tables inside and 2 outside. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they are happy to serve you. The Cuban sandwich was really good, probably the most authentic of its kind that I've had. Pork, ham, pickles, mustard, cheese pressed on good bread served wrapped in newspaper which is a cool touch. The croquets were also very good, with my favorite being the guava & cheese. I really liked this place and will definitely be stopping back in.

Anthony A.

Yelp
Best cubanos around ! Authentic! Simple menu for a small joint. Four different sands and a handful of croquet flavors. Food is delicious! Friendly owners. Perfect size sands

Atnier R.

Yelp
A little Cuban food takeout shop featuring a wide variety of croquettes, from savory to lightly sweet, all delicious and perfectly fried to order. They also have sandwiches and other traditional Cuban fare, but we made the trip for the croquetas, beckoned by their confident name and they did not disappoint. The owners are super friendly and eager to fry you up some to-go goodness, so go pay a visit!

Dave G.

Yelp
Bona fide authentic Cuban croquetas! With the most delicious unique flavors. Get em fresh and hot. Niurka and Pablo are the nicest people! Must try!!!!

Monika D.

Yelp
A small, cute restaurant for Cuban croquetas and sandwiches that also serves coffee and sodas. We stopped by when we were walking around Sleepy Hollow and were happy we did. We got the croquetas that were available- the Havana, ham, chicken and feta/spinach, along with the pineapple soda and Materva Yerba mate soda. So good! It is owned by a family and they are super kind. Definitely stop by for a quick bite- or get one of their sandwiches!

Dana D.

Yelp
Oh, HELL YEAH! The best REAL Cuban sandwich this side of Havana! My new simple go-to (and just under 30 minutes from Peekskill)! Stumbled on today while in Sleepy Hollow. "The best Cuban sandwich Jerry, the best!" I ordered a chorizo croquette with my sandwich and the owner's son brought me another kind to try as well. Loved so much I bought one of each (5-total) to take home and re-heat! I should have bought 'a couple' of each! Had a can of Cuban soda for the first time too. Easy in and out street parking (2-blocks from Sleepy Hollow H.S.). Small place with an immaculately clean kitchen and prep area. Can't wait to go back... TOMORROW!

Madeleine H.

Yelp
I went here with my parents last weekend and we absolutely loved it. very pleasant and quaint atmosphere with such friendly staff (i love that it's family-owned too!). there were enough croquette options for the 3 of us to each try different flavors (i got the ham and the picadillo). the croquettes are fried when you order so they come out hot and freshly crispy. they were all super delicious and filling. i also got a cafe con leche which was great too! everything was reasonably priced. just great vibes overall and now i'm excited to be hooked on a new kind of food i might not have thought about otherwise. i can't wait to come back and try the sandwiches!

Christina D.

Yelp
Great food and very clean place. The family that owns it is very friendly and takes pride in their food. So happy I found this place as there aren't many Cuban restaurants in Westchester. I'll be back to eat my way through the menu!

M D.

Yelp
Stumbled on this place while looking at online listings. My wife is Cuban and grew up on croquettes. We went with our son and had Cuban sandwiches and Jamon and Havana croquettes (someone had bought *all* their ropa vieja sandwiches for game time). Everything was delicious. Cannot wait to go back!

Zina O.

Yelp
I'd give more stars if I could!! We went for croquetas and not only were they amazing, we tried the sandwiches and they were just as delicious. Croquetas we're just like Mima use to make years ago....authentic, fried to order, and lightly friend!! Couldn't get enough, we took more home for dinner! We will definitely be back.

Murielle L.

Yelp
My family and I were so excited to try this place. We drove all the way from Queens to enjoy a day of events in Sleepy Hollow for Halloween theme events. When we arrived to Croqueteria, there was a line outside the door which we thought this place must be as great as we thought! However, when we finally got to the counter, we were told that there were only 3 types of croquetas left and no cafe con leche ( coffee with milk) which is a Cuban staple. I grew up in Miami, and in every cafeteria, they sell coffee and cortadito. By that time we were so hungry, we just got what was available. The croquetas we got tasted so bland and we were so disappointed. It would have been helpful if we knew most items were sold out and we would have probably left and not waited. It was just a disappointing experience. The only two people working there appeared to be the owners ( son and mother). Probably will not return here.

Robert D.

Yelp
Best Croquetas in NY, family owned, can't be nicer or more accommodating. Totally worth the trip, and I'm in brooklyn! Have now been here almost a dozen times, and never ever disappoints!!!

Gary S.

Yelp
Being a lover of the real style Cuban Sandwich, Croquerteria hits it spot on. It's a must try for the Cuban food lover.

John B.

Yelp
Amazing Cuban sandwich! And the steak sandwich was delicious! Highly recommend and next time I'm in the area Croqueteria will be a place to stop by!

M N.

Yelp
Their croquettes are amazing, especially the Havana, the Cuban sandwich is authentic, but above everything they service and food quality was superior!! We will definitely be back!

Allen P.

Yelp
Awesome Cuban cuisine and for me a taste of home while traveling thru the Hudson valley!! It was such a welcome sight and while currently there's no seating inside we took our environmentally friendly containers and found a spot with a view of the bridge over the Hudson to have dinner. The owners were extremely accommodating and the next time I'm thru Sleepy Hollow I'll be back!!

Misael T.

Yelp
My family and I recently went to Sleepy Hollow for the first time to explore and the best find was this family owned and operated establishment. The warmth we were welcomed with made us feel at home as soon as we stepped inside. The savory dishes literally made us ask for more. A definite must go if you are anywhere in the vicinity.

M C.

Yelp
Delicious croquetas and the BEST Cuban sandwich ! Gracias por su amabilidad y por la croquetas deliciosas!

Isabel G.

Yelp
Such a great spot! I went with my mom, a certified cubana, and we loved it. The croquetas are to die for, and so high quality. (The cod ones were my favorite). Everything is so fresh and well-made, super authentic, and better than anything you'll find in Miami. So glad I got to chat with the family who owns this place! Such genuine, sweet, and charismatic people! Espresso estaba delicioso :)

Aybak G.

Yelp
Food was pretty delicious. Cod croquete could use a little more crab meet but it was good. I had a Cubano, an Avocado sandwich (fresh) and cod croquetas.

Andrew W.

Yelp
absolutely delicious and friendliest owners! the flan is also one of the best i've ever had

Jaja M.

Yelp
THIS IS THE REAL THING!! Best Cuban spot in both Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. I recommend a ropa vieja sandwich Will be back for some croquetas!

Billy N.

Yelp
Amazing food and friendly owners! Constantly changing specials and different foods to try.

Thea W.

Yelp
I have never been to Sleepy Hollow before, but I did live in Miami, and this place is the real deal! It was so delicious I had to stop myself from ordering 5 Cuban sandwiches to go to eat for the rest of the week! It's owned by a lovely family, Mom even makes the flan! I suggest you stop reading this, and head there now before they close!

C L.

Yelp
So so so delicious. Had croquetas, pulled pork sandwich, flan, and espresso. Food was very good and the owners were so nice. Cute little spot and so glad I tried it on a whim!

Tia M.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place since it opened but my schedule never lined up with theirs. Until today. And it DIDNOT disappoint. The sandwich of the day was ropa vieja and MAN!!! Was it good!! It hit the spot. I haven't had ropa vieja in years and never as a sandwich. What a delight!! The croquetas were amazing!! Got the mushroom and ropa vieja and should have bought more than 2 each. I love how it's a small and simple menu, I don't think you can make a bad choice. Can't wait to go back and try more croquetas. Buena Suerte!!

Char W.

Yelp
Love this place! Just stopped by for a hot avocado and cheese sandwich. The avocado was super fresh. And tried the spinach croquette. Picture that delicious creamed spinach side dish at old style steakhouses piping hot in a light, crispy shell. Perfect. Will be back!

Robert K.

Yelp
Fantastic Cuban sandwich worth waiting for, served up by a super nice guy. Best of luck!
