Crotto del Sergente

Loved everything about the experience! The service is outstanding - everyone was very welcoming and kind. We were celebrating my partner's birthday and the service took that into account by bringing a little candle on my partner's dessert which was cute. The restaurant is beautiful, loved the peaceful atmosphere. It's a bit up a hill, we took a bus there that was around 5-10 minutes from Como centre and cost 1,5€. Even though some of the foods on the tasting menu weren't my personal favourite, I overall enjoyed the dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Found this restaurant on Google map with good reviews while driving back from lake Como, so decided to give it a try… totally amazed and delighted us!!! We were greeted with very friendly and welcoming staff, introducing and explaining to us their menu. The homemade beef tagliatelle was cooked to perfection with tagliatelle infused with the beef flavor and the beef chunks were so tender. The pumpkin dumplings was full of flavour, melt in the mouth! The desert was interesting with many layers of surprises as we dig into it! Not forgetting the place itself is a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended if you are around there to try it yourself 😁

Their English and Italian versions of menus have different prices on the same dishes(at least in February 2025). In the attached photos, the dish "Ritorno al Passato" is €16 on the English Menu but €14 on the Italian menu. 🤌

Grate food and hospitality! From the entrance you see that this is a special place - very beautiful location and nice decor. The food was very nice, and special- Starting from the bread , very tasty veration of breads. The chease plate was good with nice verity of cheeses. The pasta with the fish was salty and spicy and coocked to perfection!! The meat was soft and tasty! I really suggest to try the pasta never tasted something like this The only issue it's hard to get there without a car , probably best to take a taxi

This is a hidden gem, a perfect spot to have a wonderful italian experience in a beautiful authentic place, with great decor and amazing food. Everything on the menu was tasty and innovative, I can't recommend anything in particular because we loved everything.

Despite some distance from the city center, Crotto del Sergenge provides the best flavor for local dishes/ingredients with some creative twist. Service is upmost from the beginning to the end - each waiter understands the menu/ingredients/and most importantly pairing wines. I was simply blown away from the very beginning- by the appetizer bread with home -made butter with hint of pistachio. The pepper/chili-infused jam provided a unique twist to the cheese plate that was sourced from local goat cheese (from mature to fresh). Of course, those cheese also tastes magnificent with traditional plum jam. For main course, an interesting fusion between local/traditional dish (veal) with a modern touch - sprinkled with chocolate crumble and wild berries - left an unforgettable note. *My biggest regret of the visit: Everything was amazing and I was too full after 2 dishes. Unfortunately, had to skip dessert. Will definitely come back next time when visiting Como.

A hidden gem of a place. Must visit. Food is amazing. Ask the waiter to recommend a wine to complement your food and you will not be disappointed.

Loved this place! Great food! Really nice staff, and overall great vibes. Little out of town but so worth it. This was one of the best meals I've ever had!
