Despite some distance from the city center, Crotto del Sergenge provides the best flavor for local dishes/ingredients with some creative twist. Service is upmost from the beginning to the end - each waiter understands the menu/ingredients/and most importantly pairing wines.
I was simply blown away from the very beginning- by the appetizer bread with home -made butter with hint of pistachio.
The pepper/chili-infused jam provided a unique twist to the cheese plate that was sourced from local goat cheese (from mature to fresh). Of course, those cheese also tastes magnificent with traditional plum jam.
For main course, an interesting fusion between local/traditional dish (veal) with a modern touch - sprinkled with chocolate crumble and wild berries - left an unforgettable note.
*My biggest regret of the visit: Everything was amazing and I was too full after 2 dishes. Unfortunately, had to skip dessert. Will definitely come back next time when visiting Como.
