Cru has become a sure stop when I am in town! It is a fantastic place to meet up with friends. If you're lucky enough to have the infamous bartender, TJ, serve you, you're in for a treat. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting GM Jeff, a true gentleman. These two will help you find the right wine for you and your party if you don't already have a favorite. Great for a glass, a meal, conversation, or a bottle to share with a friend. Highly recommend!

Google
Enjoyed our visit, the bartender stayed on top of our drinks, music was live so we enjoyed it. There was a good crowd and a little loud but all in good fun. Great place for after work or when our group arrived on a Friday night. I ordered their hummus. The consistency was thinner than I am accustomed to eating so it was a little difficult eating with the pita bread. It tasted good, though, Their Caymus, my friend ordered, was delicious as always. I preferred a light Sauv Blanc with the hummus. Definitely will be returning.

I love coming here for date nights or a girls’ night out! A big thank you to our waiter, Calvin, who always takes such great care of us. He’s incredibly thoughtful and knowledgeable, always providing detailed explanations about the wines and dishes. We feel truly special every time we visit. The wine menu is fantastic!

Monica

Google
White wine flight was okay, I like that there’s options. Waiters face and personality was miserable. The bruschetta was the worst, stick to the wine.

Google
Really excellent small plate offerings. The goat cheese beignet and the meatballs were outstanding (there are two meatballs, but in the pic i had already devoured one of them). Wine is a bit overpriced, but it's how they make their money, so not a big deal. If not for the overly loud Dr and his friends trying to one up each other with their name/location/spending stories, it would have been perfect. We will def be back, but we will go a bit earlier to get a patio seat.

I ordered the shrimp potstickers as an appetizer and two margarita pizzas as starters. Unfortunately, the marinara sauce on the pizzas was completely bland—more like tomato and water with no real flavor. I've eaten at Cru before and usually enjoy it, but this time I left disappointed. The one highlight of the evening was the service. Our waiter, Robinson, was excellent—super friendly and 100% attentive throughout the meal.

Google
The food is mid; stick to the wine. My friends and I came for restaurant week, and the atmosphere was nice; our server started off good, but that didn’t last long. She kept disappearing, and we had to get up and go get her even though it was slow, so I don’t really get that. The food was very bland, my favorite being the lobster and shrimp potstickers. The scallops and risotto were extremely bland, and the chocolate cake and crème brûlée weren’t good. Overall, this is my second Cru location with mid-food, so I’m convinced to skip the meals and only order wine.

Google
Great appetizers and the wine!! Wine selections are incredible! Will definitely go back again and again and again! 😉

Yelp
I LOVE Cru'!!! I used to frequent the uptown location when I first moved to Dallas, but it has been years since I've gone. When I stumbled across this location, it reminded me of how much I used to love visiting Cru'. The wine flights are reasonably priced, the food is good, and the staff are extremely friendly and great at making recommendations based on your preferences. This location plans wine tasting events, which make it even more exciting. If you are a wine connoisseur, do not take my word for it. Go check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Good spot to grab a bite and some great wine. The lobsters pot stickers were my favorite! Tj is great and very welcoming! Second time here and he recommended us noice choices. If you're looking to just unwind, I'd highly recommend Cru! Decor is very cozy.

Yelp
The service was exceptional at the shops at legacy. I wanted a late night flight of wine and a snack on a solo work trip and this met my needs.

Yelp
Another Restaurant Week find. Husband and I came in early on a Saturday night and got a table in a nice, quiet corner. Restaurant is really trendy-looking and I absolutely love the wine wall! The host and our waiter (sorry, forgot their names) were both very nice and attentive and offered a lot of helpful menu recommendations. Husband and I pretty much ordered one of each on the restaurant week menu: Appetizers - Lobster & Shrimp Potstickers Entrees - Scallops and New York Strip Dessert - Molten Chocolate Cake and Creme Brulee Everything we ordered was delicious and we really enjoyed it. It was a really nice date night and would definitely come back again!

Yelp
Had a great time at Cru wine bar. Our server Norman was amazing, entertained us and provided us with great service. He was knowledgeable on the flight selections, and constantly checked in with us. This place is perfect for a low key night, a date night, or just to get a nightcap if you're in the area. It's quaint and has a beautiful interior with the wine bottle wall and they even have a private room in the back for a small gathering with friends or family. They have food that sounds great as well, we already had dinner so didn't try any of it this trip though. Norman also told us about daily specials that they have on Mondays, you can get a bottle of wine and they'll give you a pizza of your choice with it. That's just one of the specials. I got the winter bliss flight which featured 3 wines, from Italy and France I believe. They were all pretty smooth and I enjoyed them. Thanks for an enjoyable wine night Cru! I'll be back

Yelp
Super nice ambiance, not loud and they place this nice music. I am amazed that this place exist as the staff is super nice and have a nice variety of wines and food. Drop by an experience for yourself. P.S. please please consider having some sort of flat bread or crackers as an option for the cheese and spreads!!

Yelp
Brought my mother and sister here on a Sunday and it was such a nice experience. We sat on the patio and had a flight(s) of red and wine featured from places like Italy or California. Our server was pretty attentive and offered some great appetizers. I'd come back and try dining inside next time.

Yelp
Like the wine flights as it allows you to try different wines without costing a fortune. I am a Merlot fan so I appreciate that being on the list of flights . Didn't try any food. Heard the pizza is good. The ambiance is perfect, not too loud the service wasn't bad , it wasn't too busy for a Sunday afternoon. Cru is a nice place to people watch. Very comfortable setting. The wines consistently changes based on the seasons. It's well worth a visit and they offer happy hour specials with saving on a bottle of wine.

Yelp
Came for a night cap over the weekend. We sat outside to enjoy the nice weather. I got the Chardonnay flight and liked most of them. Service was fine.
google avatar

Aryelle S.

Yelp
Such a great place for happy hour drinks with friends. They have a great outdoor seating area and a lot of space inside. The service was good. We ordered Sauvignon blanc and some apps. I definitely recommend the bruschetta mozz toast. We also ordered the ahi tuna nachos which were horrible. Way too fishy.

Yelp
Had a lovely evening sitting on the patio all our drinks came out within minutes of ordering even though every table was full in the patio. Our food also came out quickly, fresh and hot. Had a lovely waitress who brought out water for our pups and asked if they could have treats too overall a great experience. I would suggest they put less cheese in the pizza though as it was not my favorite.

Yelp
We stopped in here while we waited for the drag show. We ordered snacks and a carafe of food. Our server sat us immediately and took our orders. She was really great! The peach Bellini was super strong and didn't seem to have any purée in it. The mini Belgian waffles were light, refreshing, and super good. I decided to try the goat cheese beignets and they were gross. Tried them with the sides and it wasn't much help. I will say the place was very cute and had good music. I would come back to try something else on the menu.

Yelp
I have loved this place forever! The food is delicious and they have a great wine selection.

Yelp
First time from out of state trying and I thought this was was perfect for a Wednesday H.H. We got some flights and appetizers from the H.H menu. All were good, nothing extravagant but decent and paired well with wine flights. I enjoyed all of the wines. We sat outside and it was nice, perfect weather. The service is also outstanding, we accidentally spilt and broke a glass and the service was kind enough to pour us extra. Overall, food was 7/10 & flights were 8.5/10!! Would come back for H.H

Yelp
Such a surprise wow!!!! My fiancé and I live in the neighborhood and have walked by so much and never tried it but today we did and WOW!!! It was such a fun dining experience, we got the cheese fondue and 2 wine flights and it was just so delicious and fun and such an interactive experience. Our waitress Christine was so nice and welcoming and knew so much about the menu and even gave us complimentary goat cheese beignets which were like so good it's crazy!! Such great service and food -- we will be back!

Yelp
My husband and I shared 3 wine flights...so fun!!! They give you cards with descriptions and you get to compare wines and the flavors! Food was good, wine was great, service lovely (Carol was fabulous)!

Yelp
I really like this location with Cru. The staff here are always so pleasant and welcoming. TJ AKA Tony took care of us at the bar and he was so pleasant, attentive and accommodating. I've been here during happy hour and experienced the same great customer service and attention. Happy that Cru has been consistent with their service and delivery after all these years. It's a staple location to visit for great wine selections and food!

Yelp
Great experience! Food top notch and the service was up to par! The waitress was informed and helpful as we were looking for options.

Yelp
I'm really sad to write this review but what a disappointing Valentine's Day dinner! I was so excited because the pre set menu looked so good! Kitchen was extremely slow too. Bartender and drinks were lovely and she made some great recommendations. Let's talk food--- Lobster bisque very good, small tasting Risotto had little flavor and huge onions Shrimp dish was tasty Filet was slightly over cooked but good flavor Scalloped potatoes also had large unexpected onions Asparagus was ok Lamb was terrible and overcooked Potatoes were bland with no flavor Both desserts chocolate Molten cake and crème brûlée were fantastic! Bottom line the starter and main course were way below average. I would love to go back but not for a major holiday. Stick with the wine and pizza! *no accommodations made either to our $220 bill, not that I expected it.... But for me to get my husband to return.....

Yelp
A couple of ladies and I went to Cru late one night on a whim. We ordered wine, chocolate fondue, and pizza. The selection of wine was nice but they ran out of what I wanted so gave me something not as good. The chocolate fondue was tasty and addicting with a good variety of food items to dip. The Margherita Pizza was not great so I don't recommend getting that. As the server was pouring my bubbly, she spilled a good amount on the table.
google avatar

Denim M.

Yelp
They had a red wine flight called Pinot Evil and I could not get enough. So clever. I paired it with a charcuterie board! So yummy!
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
A lot of wine choices. We only had drinks. A nice little patio outside. Looked like some good food options. A nice atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing service and fantastic food. We had the Pan roasted swordfish with heirloom tomatoes.. try it while it last! Heirloom Tomato Fest! AMAZING!! The serving was enough for 2, easily! Also had the fig and Gorgonzola bruschetta.. yum! The bread was delicious!

Yelp
Great food!!! Fun happy hour good wines and Norman the bartender was great! When in Frisco TX stop by great place

Yelp
4 of us went last night for the ending of Restaurant Week. The food was great & the wine flights were fun. My friend and I asked for a full pour of one of the wine selections and each of us we were forgotten. I asked a different waitstaff to bring my friend hers, but just blew mine off. They didn't charge me for it, so no worries. The reason for the less than stellar review is the restrooms. They were both absolutely disgusting! They are open to either men or women and this is not a good thing. There was pee everywhere. All over the seat, and puddles on the floor. SO gross. They really need to separate the 2 into men and women. If I ever go back, I'll make sure not to go to the restroom.
google avatar

Kaitlyn T.

Yelp
My sister and I tried this place for the first time last weekend to celebrate my birthday. We got there right when they opened, for happy hour, the food was impeccable and we loved our server Robinson!!! My sister and I are huge foodies and we were just floored with the food we decided to have my bachelorette dinner there in a couple months! So excited to go back. We didn't take photos of everything we ate... We started off with the phenomenal shrimp and lobster potstickers and then had the mouth watering goat cheese beignets...TO DIE FOR GOOD.
google avatar

Dottie W.

Yelp
There was a nice ambiance. This wine bar has really great options for sampling. We opted to have our dinner there as well, and the food was good. It met the price point. Service was great.
google avatar

Yelp
Hidden brunch gem and just what we were looking for! Their menu is small but just right, with a great selection of items that pair excellently with any wine or Champaign, they also have their brunch drinks by the carafe. We came for a special occasion and the new team made sure we felt at home and that the occasion felt truly special.
google avatar

Polina T.

Yelp
I think this is a perfect spot to take yourself on a brunch date. The flavors pair so well together . I had their Bellini capriciani , fig and Gorgonzola bruschetta, and the goat cheese beignets and none of them disappointed ! It's definitely worth the try .

Yelp
I was finally able to try out this place! We made reservations via opentable to enjoy a dinner here with the girls. There's little to no street parking (for longer than an hour) but there is a parking garage not too far away. Right before walking in, there's patio seating for a cute wine date. Sat down and ordered the wine flight #4, thanks to Nathans suggestion. I'm a sweet wine/desert wine drinker, and this was the only one on the menu that fit that description. The flight came with 3 glasses as well as a cute lil' card to let you know exactly what you ordered. For my appetizer, I ordered the crab gratin. I never did get it. After waiting about 20mins, I asked him to cancel it as I expected the food to be coming soon. Unfortunately, he'd never put the order in as he stated he didn't hear this order. For my pizza, I went with the Butcher pizza, which tasted better to me the next day. Not a bad place, but I think if I came again, it would be just to enjoy wine vs. food.

Yelp
Beautiful space here at Crú. If you're a lover of wines and sexy ambiance, check this place out. The food is tasty depending on what you get and how you pair it with your drink. They have wine tasting and events as well. I appreciate the vibes and frequent it at least once a month.

Yelp
What a place! This is actually the first time for me going to a wine bar. I had such an amazing experience at Cru. Really impressed with the atmosphere. Very elegant, comfortable and cozy. They have very good food selection. Highly recommend their steamed mussels and their truffle pizza. It was incredible tasty and very reasonable price The server was very friendly and welcoming. He check in just frequently enough to ensure you are never in need of a beverage refill Overall, really enjoyed this lovely restaurant. This is a perfect place for friends gathering or date night
google avatar

Yelp
So incredibly disappointed.... To start we got sat 20 minutes past our original reservation time that was made a week prior . Our server took our order and then let us sit for 30 minutes before the first course came out. And I realized that 1 hour has past, with one coming to the table. I called the manager to check on our food. Came back only to tell us that they have "ran out of fillets". So I guess I was just supposed to sit there. Asked for the check, luckily it got covered and was given a gift card. Needless to say was a disappointment for our valentines dinner.

Angela L.

Yelp
First time here and wow, just wow. Service was amazing and food was spectacular. Greg and Norman made our experience life-changing. We got the mussels, goat cheese beignets, short ribs, trout, and tiramisu. The portions were generous and the flavors were on point. We will definitely be keeping this restaurant in our rotation. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
google avatar

Krista B.

Yelp
This is my favorite wine bar in the area! My family recently dined there for a special holiday meal. Greg, the newer general manager...really showed us a great time. The food and service was spot on. My favorites are any of their seafood dishes and by far the goat cheese beignets with honey. I love the varied selections of wine flights. I will continue to enjoy this hidden gem!
google avatar

Andre B.

Yelp
Not a bad atmosphere. Overpriced. Food was so so. Service was great. Location is great. Came with friends and had a good time overall. Cool concept but seems like they are trying too hard to be fancy and exclusive when they don't need to be. We may come back again if we are looking for a certain "feel"
google avatar

Shannah H.

Yelp
What a nice wine bar! I met a friend for socially distanced drinks as we planned final details of an upcoming event. I thought the wine selections were broad and well-thought out. One of the best options is to simply pick a flight and let yourself experience a few surprises in a wine style of your choice. There's plenty of seating outdoors (good if it's not too cold) and they have spaced out seating indoors to help patrons feel comfortable.
google avatar

Belinda C.

Yelp
First time at this location. I always love Cru! This location has quite a bit of seating. I had the rose' flight this time. Very tasty!
google avatar

Sunny C.

Yelp
One of my favorite wine bars in town! The mussels were really good and the outside seating area was nice on a sunny day.

Martice C.

Yelp
The ambiance is very inviting. Location is ideal. Wide selections of rotating wines. And lovely cheese options. The problem was the Shaved Truffle Pizza. When we received the pizza, we mentioned to the server that the shaved truffle was missing, and she had the manager come talk to us. He brought us extra "truffle" (which was merely diced black olives and mushrooms) and explained that the truffle is "prepped" so it's ready to go when it's time to add to the pizza. Anyone who is familiar with truffle immediately recognizes that aromatic scent and would never be fooled into believing what he handed us was truffle. Very disappointed that they would advertise something they don't have, and then have management disrespect patrons who know better.
google avatar

Yelp
Always great food accompanied by great service. Robinson was a tremendous server and remembered us from when we last visited on Thanksgiving. Such a gem of a place for dining and entertaining.
google avatar

Yelp
Their food and wine is spectacular but it cannot be enjoyed when flies and nats are flying into your glass and food. It's disgusting. Use your funds towards insect repellent or something...

Yelp
I've been enjoying Crú, both in Plano and in Dallas for more than 17 years. I've brought many friends here and occasionally dined alone. The wait staff are always kind and attentive. The wine is delicious and affordable especially during their Happy Hour. Had I stopped going to Crú a few years ago, I would have given them a 5 star review, so fabulous is their food, wine, and wait staff. Alas, something has changed in the past few years about the ambiance of the Plano Crú. I used to be a once or twice per week regular. Recently, I've not been able to afford to wine and dine there as often but on the three occasions when I have, something has always prevented me from having what used to be a wonderful, fun, enjoyable time. One time, I was seated next to about 15 increasingly loud and boisterous young women who drowned out the conversations of tables around them. The next two times, the manager, Sean (sp?), ("new" as of four years ago), seemed determined to make me feel unwanted and unwelcome. After an $80 meal on the patio after which I left a 20% tip because it is the holidays, and the waiter, Nathan, was excellent and warm and friendly, I asked to speak with the manager. I was soft-spoken and polite but frank and straightforward. His demeanor was full of hostility. He made it clear that he did not consider me to be a valued customer whose feelings were to be taken into account, and told me he was "not going to argue with me", and threatened to call the cops if I did not leave the premises immediately! I left, telling him that I would never be returning. Interestingly, the restaurant was only about half full, and this at holiday time when usually business would be booming. Maybe others have had experiences similar to mine.

Yelp
Honestly? This was a dreamy date night. My husband and I swung by late afternoon before we were seeing a movie around the corner, and since it was our first visit, the waitress brought us the goat cheese beignets with honey - which were out of this world! We also had the mussels - my husband is Canadian, so we take our mussels seriously, and we both loved this. We even ordered extra bread to soak up more of the broth! We also had the truffle pizza - another winner. And we shared one of the wine flights to go along with it.

Yelp
This was our first visit, but definitely won't be our last! From the exceptional waitress, generous happy hour specials, and attentive management -- our trip was truly unforgettable! Mara was our waitress, and hit the nail on the head with every single wine recommendation! My boyfriend is a regular wine drinker, but I am still new to trying wine. We both have extremely different tastes, but Mara was truly amazing in her recommendations for both of us! During our visit we met with Sean, a manager, and was able to tell that he leads his CRÚ with utmost professionalism! The customer service here is top notch, and refreshing to see! PS: you HAVE to try the Goat Cheese Beignets!
google avatar

M M.

Yelp
No masks, no gloves, no concerns of employees for their patrons what so ever. If that's your jam, dine here. It's like February of 2020! I was seriously uncomfortable at the lack of common sense and cavalier service attitude displayed. Other people seemed fine. Weird.
google avatar

Enie B.

Yelp
Food delayed but the manger Sean took care of us really well! He's beyond and above a manager. I enjoyed my time at this place. The wine selection is out of this planet Well done and thanks for helping us celebrate our friend's birthday.

Yelp
My husband and I went here on a whim tonight knowing nothing about the restaurant and just wanting to try something new...WOW! We were not disappointed. Everything was flawless. We made a reservation on OpenTable with ease, the manager (I believe he was) greeted us right away and took us right to our table out doors. He was incredibly polite and respectful. We both got a flight of wine. My husband did the Pinot flight and I did the Sauvignon Blanc flight - both fantastic. We got the fig bruschetta as an appetizer which was really unique. The fun part is we asked our *amazing* waitress to pick our food for us and surprise us. She brought out the filet mignon and the Trout (which I would have never thought to try) and they were both incredible. Our water was also always refilled throughout the meal without having to ask. We were blown away by the hospitality of the staff and quality of the food. I think we just found one of our new favorite restaurants :) Thank you for such an incredible date night!
