Yelp
Decent Italian-American food with high prices but huge portions. You need to make a reservation to eat here, but they have a lot of availability during the week.
We were a party of 8 -- two families of 4. We ordered the burrata and prosciutto to start, and then each family ordered a pizza and pasta dish to share.
I thought the food was fine, and while the prices are high, the amount of food is pretty huge. The other family ordered the chicken parm, and it was honestly a serving platter worth of food (at least a pound of pasta, all heaped with chicken, sauce and cheese). The pizzas are 12 inch, bigger than a standard personal pizza, especially since the crust is on the thick side, and they put on a lot of toppings. I tried the pepperoni pizza and the lobster ravioli. The pizza was good but not traditional, Napoli-style pizza. The lobster ravioli was okay, although the peas were mushy, it was all drowned in sauce, and some of the ravioli tasted fishy. (The ravioli dish was a decent portion but much smaller than the chicken parm, FYI.)
At the end of the meal, they brought out a digestif for all the adults in the group, which was nice.
A quirk of the restaurant is that they don't allow substitutions, and they upcharge for sharing. My preference is smaller portions of better quality food, so I'm not a fan of their strategy. I would have preferred to order more, smaller dishes than have 4 people share two dishes and then pay the upcharge since the portions are so large. As we were traveling from out of town and most upscale hotels don't have microwaves in the room, leftovers were not an option.
