15 Great Beachside LA Restaurants, From Malibu to Long Beach - Eater LA

"This harbor-side restaurant at San Pedro’s Ports O’ Call Village feels more like an outdoor block party than a traditional dining room. The boisterous crowd downs pitchers of beer and sips frozen margaritas, while mariachi music blares throughout the alfresco space. On the menu are fish of all stripes, scallops small and large, prepared shrimp, colorful crabs, and seasonal lobster prepared a plethora of ways — grilled, steamed, sauteed, and deep-fried." - Eater Staff

The Crabby patties were delicious. The only thing keeping the service and atmosphere from being 5 stars is the fact that it's underwater. The service would be perfect if Squidward wasn't such a big jerk. But exceptional food honestly. I like Spongebob, he's a cool and awesome frycook. It's a shame the place had to close down but I hope it can reopen because boy, I'd be dropped on the deck and flop like a fish.

The serving size on these plates is huge, so I would definitely say it’s worth every penny. With that being said, it’s not cheap. The have many options for you to try, and multiple flavors for you to choose from. This particular time, we picked the Cajun fish and the butter shrimp. Now these plates also include, bell peppers, tomatoes and a huge serving of garlic bread. Taste is amazing, and worth the wait. Parking is plentiful, and it’s the view is amazing. Weekends can be hectic, and the wait can be long. So get there early and enjoy the food.

I originally gave one star but after thinking through I am giving two stars. So I went to this place 2 weeks ago. I left review on San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant on the location separately.(1 star) From this restaurant(fish market, more like), I bought grilled fish and grilled shrimp plate. Fish was fresh and it was great. But the rest was not. When the fish went on the grill, we were told it would take 50 minutes. I was like,,, what?! 50? or 15?! He said 50 min because the fish is big so it would take long time.... Okay, pues ni modo... Then not even 20 min later my fish was ready. But the fish was bigger than the one we bought. LOL. Seems it grew. 😆 Clearly it was not ours but, hey, we ain't complaining if it's upgrade. 😁 Unfortunately, there was no taste at all. It was pure "grilled fish".... Went back and let them know it had no taste. They gave us lemons and garlic butter.... Well, obviously fish was not tasty enough that we decided to take home and season it ourselves. Shrimp plate. Dude! Pouring so much oil does not make the plate any tastier or tasteless than it is.... I remember I used to visit this San Pedro area and ate similar shrimp plate but clearly that was a thing of the past. Unfortunately, it was nothing like the great plate that I remembered... The dish had too much oil and clearly I expected too much from ordinary citizen who happened to be given "a chef" title. This dish also, I had to pack it up and re season at home to truly enjoy and get my money worth it. By the way, the horchata next to my grilled fish plate cost $10 and super dilited. Ridiculous and What a rip off. (nothing to do with this review but just warning you not to waste money on this thing. ) Again, fish was fresh so it was great but make sure you take it home and cook it yourself...✌️ I will never come back to this place.

Google
Food used to be good but recently the food is a bit overpriced, bland and tasteless. Could not taste any garlic bread from the garlic bread I ordered. Fried shrimp did not taste like anything noticeable despite using hot sauce, lemons and ketchup. The shrimp platter was decent. The only good part about this place is the freshness of the food as its cooked to order and the portion sizes. It's seems they believe the portion sizes will compensate for their lack of seasoning and flavor of the food. On a side note the last 2 times I ate here the fried shrimp made my stomach hurt. If you are looking for tasty seafood this place is not it. However, if you want big portion sizes, fresh food and are willing to compromise the taste and flavor of the food then I guess this might be place for you. Beware of the prices though. For anyone wondering I spent a total of $145 excluding beverages.

Google
Sits on the water, not fancy. But... The food is amazing. Crabby fries, amazing! The cream crab soup, excellent. The crab cake sandwich and the Quesadilla were also really good. If you want fancy, this isn't your place. If you want great food, it's a must try.

Google
Food is always fantastic...and it's outdoors without a ton of people during the week. Perfect place to grab a socially-distanced bite. We got the combo plate, some roasted corn, and an extra piece of the fantastic garlic bread. It was enough food for two adults and 4 kids with a little bit left over. As our five-year old said during our meal, "the food here is bomb!"

Google
Too bad this place will be closing down for a couple of years for remodel/rebuild. That's why we went. Will miss it. The best seafood! And so much on your plate! I had 3 meals from my $24 combo plate! Plus we had a good time. There were a couple of thousand folks there...becuz they are closing down...so the wait time was over an hour. But they handled it so well. Will be watching for the grand reopening!

Steven Fuller

Google
Above average for this type of place. I had the combo with scallops, shrimp and oysters. A good portion of each and I am now stuffed. The beer was a bit spendy but the food was great. It’s my second time here and I’ll be back.

Yelp
If you decide to go here instead because the line for San Pedro Fish Market is too long... save yourself the bad meal and just go to a different San Pedro location! That was our biggest regret. Our family ordered two of the combo platters, which came with shrimp, a fish on top, an assortment of onions and potatoes, and garlic bread. The shrimp was puny and overcooked, and everything just lacked flavor. I couldn't taste any garlic on the garlic bread, and our meal was so disappointing - not to mention how overpriced it was. Everything needed more seasoning in general... it wasn't worth it. The positives about our experience: the security guards were super nice! Otherwise, we should've skipped out since we all left feeling unsatisfied.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on Saturday and wow so packed with people! I stood in line basically where the parking lot starts, and it took 30 min to order and another 20 to actually get it. After you order they give you a buzzer to come back and get it from the window. They were super packed and communal seating so I was sharing tables with 2 other couples. The food: SO MUCH SHRIMP and a couple of fish. I much prefer the shrimp over the fish. The fish was a bit overdone. Great vibe and nice place for family or a date! Bring a jacket, it's cold!

Yelp
Came here Monday afternoon after Christmas. Very long line but worth the wait. We ordered thr combo platter. It comes with shrimp, fish, 2 garlic bread, potatoes, onions, bell peppers and tomatoes. We only put a dent in it by finishing maybe half. Lots of people ordered the fish and there's fast food also. We ordered a liter of clam chowder to go. Crackers were provided too.

Yelp
Owned by San Pedro Fish Market, this is just another great place to grab fresh seafood. Bonus, they had green mussels! Mmm. We didn't eat here, but did Walk through to gaze at all the amazing fresh seafood. The place appeared clean and well staffed. They have lots of outdoor seating. What a great find. Wish we lived closer!

Yelp
John u Business owner Thank you for reaching out I was so excited to dine here Traveled here all the way from the Silicon Valley just to experience the food and and ambiance of the restaurant. Convinced my husband to take a detour and go have some sea food here. I was disappointed in what you had to offer. Hopefully everything gets resolved and customers leave happy having had a good meal. As for us returning, I would really have to think about it being it was expensive and food was not what i expected. Plus, 1 star for hot sauce, hot sauce we purchased was really good, spicy, great seasoning, added a kick to our snacks and finished the whole bottle.

Yelp
This is such a fun experience and is one of my favorite places to get fish. I know the fish is fresh since you can pick it yourself. I love that the location is right on the port. Most of the service is pretty so-so since it's either self-service or the actual cooking of your meal. Being on the water is worth the experience to me though, even if the seagulls try to intimidate you a bit. It isn't the cleanest outdoor restaurant, but it sure is fun and has a lot of other activities and places around. Watch out for the agua frescas though, because they are more expensive than you would ever think-- but they sure are tasty when you're dehydrated from a day in the sun.

Yelp
The ordering system is so flawed that a simple order on a weekday with minimal crowds resulted in a wait of well over 1 hour. We ordered, were given an electronic radio buzzer coaster, was told it would take 20 minutes and after 30 mins elapsed, checked and saw people with and without buzzers in lime getting their orders, then I waited... and waited... and waited in line only to be told my order would take 15-20 minutes... on top of the 40 mins we were waiting, so we went back to the table and waited... and waited... and waited... then the buzzer never went off, so we checked and the food was waiting to be picked up and getting cold. Horrible experience I vow never ever to recommend to others or patronize again myself. The disorganization was unapologetically frustrating and end result of spending $60 for a kid's meal, cup of pre-made Ceviche and a fish/shrimp #3 platter offered disappointing quality and quantity considering the counter service format and long... long... long... wait.

Yelp
This place has been a tried and true go to for us with our friends who love seafood! There's nothing like the ambiance of sea air, fresh caught fish, and a festive atmosphere punctuated by on-demand trio music (if you like). Today we came with friends and literally feasted on great seafood! It was filling enough but not so much that we gorged ourselves. The service is good - but could be a little faster (especially for those tortillas). We hung out from opening until about midday. The seafood is fresh, buttery, and flakey. The bonus (for me) was the lucious eyeball - yes, I said eyeball! It was the perfect texture of gooey savoriness - if you're into that sort of thing. Lol!! Other past favorite items: barbecued mussels, oysters, crab legs - all very tasty and well prepared. There's also a variety of offering for non-fish eaters. This place is definitely a fun spot to visit and it is clean. One tip - arrive right at opening so as to avoid crowds. Once it's crowded - it is cuh-row-ded!!!!

Yelp
If you want to eat something really fresh go to San Pedro Crusty Crab! Where you can choose a fish and they cook it for you at the moment. The wait time for food delivery is fast when it is something fresh like oysters. if you choose a grilled or fried fish it is between 15 minutes to 30 minutes. They also have many options for kids, like burgers or fries. But -1 the place is very busy, that there are not enough tables and many times you have to wait for a clean table or clean your own table.

Yelp
I came in near closing and this was one of the restaurants still open. I knew the yelp ratings were low but I still wanted to try it because it was near the San pedro fish market. I can't really knock it until I tried it, right? I ordered #3 combo that comes with fish, garlic bread and potatoes; and Calm chowder cup on side. Everything was not nasty except the shrimp, the shrimp was alright, not bad. Fish was dried, garlic bread was soggy, calm chowder tasted almost like it came from a can. They charged for lemon and chili. I definitely would not come back and do not recommend it.

Yelp
I waited in line for 2 hours, I almost gave up as my husband got agitated we were like the only ones not Hispanic in line so something was not right , it could not possibly be the same restaurant I dreamed about when I had a sumptuous dinner some 20 years ago when it was probably American owned. Don't get me wrong I speak Spanish n love Mexican food but what they have here was amateurish at best. By the way, the following week I was in puerto Vallarta for a week eating real Mexican seafood on the beach for 1/2 what I paid at crusty crab. We ordered the combo plate, the shrimp was nothing special, French fries was lame, the margarita was lousy, they charged for lemon n hot sauce, it was outrageous highway robbery. Only the oysters were good. The meal cost like $70? I was mad as hell as I trashed it, this place seems to be popular but I'm like a real foodie n found this not acceptable, everything was overpriced, the red snapper was $14 a lb? It's only $7 in Little Saigon. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else, 2 stars food at 5 stars price.

Yelp
This place is a really good place to get lunch, dinner or whatever. You can their trays or order your own tray of mix andatch seafood of your liking. I've also tried their clam chowder which they make here and it was Awesome. They do not add a lot of potatoes like other places and the taste is nice and rich.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years now and the Crusty Krab has always been one of my favorites , they always give you a lot of food the combos are always great . I always like to get there early right when they open so I can get a good seat with a view. Of course there's other places to eat , but the crusty is always delicious. The prices are reasonable and everyone that works there is always really nice and friendly.

Yelp
Came to San Pedro to go to another restaurant, but the line was so long we decided to try the Crusty Crab instead. I'm glad we did! The menu appears to be the same as SPFM but the line was significantly shorter. We arrived after the lunch hour on a Saturday. The line started at the parking lot and took about 40 minutes to get up to the window to order. You order at the counter while viewing the beautiful, fresh fish in the case. They give you a number and then you find a seat. Our number was called pretty quickly. One downside is that there is a separate line for drinks. Had we known better, we would divide and conquer once inside with one of us remaining in the food line and one getting drinks. Live and learn. Food quality and flavors are great. We had a delicious shrimp platter that had so much shrimp. It was buttery and a little spicy. The potatoes and veggies were a great complement to the shrimp. I even used the garlic bread to sop up the juices remaining in the pan. Delicious!! I'd love a better view from the dock, but it is San Pedro Harbor. If you're going for a view, go to SPFM Long Beach location instead.

Yelp
For those of you who are LA natives than you know how delicious the shrimp tray is. It's been years since I've been back and dining here today brought back good childhood memories. The food was alright but the service was good despite that it was extremely busy. There are technically two Crusty Crabs, one that's to go, fix platers form their menu, or the original one where you can add oysters, lobster, different types of fish, etc. I went to the later one. I got the fish plater (grilled not fried) and added shrimp for an extra $7. Then, I added extra items (sausage, oysters, octopus, etc - yes I feasted). The fish that you get is tilapia which was ok. You do have the option to choose a different fish and basically make it a la cart. Next time I'd would rather get a different fish. The shrimp portions were very generous and they didn't add to much of the veggies. The shrimp is peeled and deveined so ready to enjoy. The oysters were super good and were grilled with the rest of our items. The sausage was Boiling Crab flavor so I would suggest adding it on. We got the seasoning that was spicy but it wasn't spicy at all but the hot sauce made up for it. I would suggest getting it with just garlic, buy some hot sauce and you're good to go.

Yelp
Headed to beach this past weekend. Stopped in at this place around 1:30.... Light crowds at this time. Ordered from the counter from a pleasant staff member Frida. I ordered 1/2 lb King Crab legs and fries. Husband ordered the shrimp plate. WOW!! We could of totally shared his huge plate. But, I didn't want to waste my yummy crab legs. Weather was perfect. We dined outside and enjoyed the great weather and football games on the tv screens. We were given a pager to retrieve our food, which sounded off 12-15 minutes later. Food was totally fresh and huge portions. I only wish I brought a "wet nap", as I dug into my crab legs with my hands and was a total mess. The spice on the crab and shrimp is their special blend (which we bought a bottle of before leaving) I enjoyed it on the scrimp, but was not expecting it on the crab. I usually like my crab legs just steamed with lots of butter. Would order both of these dishes again. Would ask if there is an option to hold the seasoning on the crab. Staff kept the tables cleared & wiped down frequently. They also were on top of the trash bins, keeping them changed out frequently. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed. Good timing on our part!

Yelp
Not at all what it used to be. Can't sit in the restaurant anymore and the food has lost its quality. It's as disappointing as SP fish market.

Yelp
I don't know what went wrong with this restaurant, used to be a gem up to a few years back. First off their system is absolutely abismal, a buzzer wrapped in plastic? We came hoping to taste what we found years ago... big mistake. The food was absolutely dreadful, my entire party had difficulty finishing. The fish was burned, first of all, on top of being flavourless despite the "seasoning" added. Then the octopus was DRIPPING in oil, it was brittle and extremely difficult to chew. We ordered a #5 combo play also and it was 70% potato/pepper! We couldn't believe it, 70+ dollars for essentially seasoned veggies. Their only redeeming option is the garlic bread, glad they didn't mess that up! Don't come here, for your sake.

Yelp
Drove around San Pedro yesterday and this spot was open. Ordered some shrimp tacos for $12. You can get them grilled or fried. I got mine grilled with some org of "secret sauce". I asked for it on the side but it came on top- not bad bc it wasn't slathered on. It came with fried and 2 corn tacos with shrimp. I was full from it. My bf and his brother got the fried stuff. Brother got the combo trio- double shrimp and fried fish (tilapia). Bf got the fried shrimp with fries. It came with fries and a little side of coleslaw for both. Kind of expensive for that meal. Mine and my bf totaled out to $36 and his brothers was $45. They packed the buzzers with plastic bags and the seating area was partly open but only to wait for your food. We ate In the parking lot - happy covid times. All in all I guess it was a new experience. The food wasn't bad but i think it was just slightly overpriced. But hey, happy to be spending money right now during these times. Forgot to take pics bc I ate it immediately.

Yelp
This place was pretty cool. Good vibes. Nice to eat next to the water. Food came out quickly. The shrimp and fish combo we got was $54. It was tasty but greasy too. I guess one can take the good tasting garlic bread to soak the seasoned grease. No doubt plenty of food to feed 3-4 people. It's still hard for me to understand that you have to pay more to get tapatio, lemons and tortillas at all these restaurants.
google avatar

Keefe L.

Yelp
Disappointed in these shrimp , no sauce on the shrimp , and shrimp were too mushy , I don't mind paying for good food but they even charged me for lemons, sauce, and they weren't even good . (Salt wasn't even available) Estos camarones no estan ricos Estaban aguados no tenian salsa, (limones y salsa se cobran apparte)
google avatar

Joshua Y.

Yelp
My god this place is bad . I wonder why there's a long line coz The seafood is garbage . It Taste horrible. And they charge way so much . We got ripped off for $60 bucks for 2 combo plate . The corn cost $5 bucks a piece And lime cost $3 bucks ain't free even u order over $60 The combo is composed of left over fish and shrimp from the kitchen and they cook and sell it. It' was cook so bad and the shrimp and fish wasn't fresh at all. Damn I will never ever waste my money and time to come all the way here. It's terrible place to eat . Yuck

Yelp
Came by Easter Sunday so crowds were higher than usual. The line was wrapped around the building but it wasn't too long of a wait to order. The lady who took our order was very nice and told us they do not do dine in with waiters taking your order anymore. You order at the window and you're given a buzzer when your food is ready then you sit yourself. Used to come here for the swordfish skewers but now they just have swordfish fillet. The menu changed with party plates to feed a big group. Food came out fast and it tasted okay but was pretty pricey for the amount given. The fried shrimp was really salty and the fried fish didn't taste too good like it was frozen. I'd skip the clam chowder, had no flavor at all.
google avatar

Melcy A.

Yelp
Dirty tables. They leave the dirty rags on the table with chemical cleaning spray.Very rude. Smells disgusting. Very poor sanitation conditions. Inside there's hardly any ventilation.
google avatar

Willy J.

Yelp
Everything is awesome about this place. The line moves quickly, the food is great, and it's loud on Sundays. There is a smaller drink shack in front of this joint and one to the side. I'm not sure why the line is always shorter and I have desire to stray. I am sticking with this place till something goes wrong.

Yelp
In San Pedro but wasn't that hungry so I ordered some of the classics to go. Tried a combo plate with shrimp and fish ($26), with a side of lobster ($25). First off, service was great. When I told them what I wanted and said they didn't offer it outside, they gave me a seat and a menu. Once I finalized my order, they worked on my food and checked on me a few times. I ended up leaving a tip for my order to go, cause they were so helpful. Didn't really give me any water or ask, but otherwise pleasant. 4 stars. Food - 4 stars. Everything was tasty but was heavy on the onions and bell peppers. Some people probably live that, but was just a bit too much for me and throw away item at the end. The lobster was tasty and reasonable as a $25 side, which they wouldn't do outside and if I bought it from the fish market it would have been more, so that's a pro tip and something I plan to do next time. Not a lot of meat, but that's the chance you take with lobsters but it was cooked well and tasted great. 4 stars.

Yelp
I was really in the mood for a crab boil and located this place in a Google search. I anticipated purchase of the #3 combo but it wasn't available for takeout. Big bummer. I ordered crab, shrimp, and links, accompanied by corn, and sautéed bell peppers and onions. I also had a side order of fried calamari, and their garlic butter was amazing.. They provided plenty napkins, forks, and napkins. I gave them three stars because I anticipated traditional seasoning which wasn't included. Parking in the area was congested so plan to walk a distance to the restaurant. There was ample sheltered and unsheltered outside seating.
google avatar

Selene R.

Yelp
If I could give no stars I would this is by far the worst ever the $19 dollars shrimp plate looks like this what is this no sauce just a whole lot of ****** oil! I threw most away ! I'm not one to return food! And I really don't think they could do any better. on top of everything horrible service the cashier has so much attitude puts her head on her shoulder and rolls eyes I can imagine how she would act if I complain or return the food ! I also got the Calamari that was much better but not great! And forget about it they don't wanna give napkins forks or anything u gotta ask I'm like wtf what am I going to eat my food with for real! Worst experience ever now I'm hoping I don't get sick but if I do I will for sure be contacting the health department! Horrible won't be going back not ever!
google avatar

Selene C.

Yelp
Expected the cost but missed the flavor... Seasoning could have used a little more kick. Our first time so didn't have experience ordering More than plenty of diced potatoes, sauteed onions and peppers
google avatar

Gaby D.

Yelp
Better than expected ! Waited for about 45 mins . Not as bad as expected being that it was a Sunday afternoon . Was able to find two tables next to one another to fit our party of 16 . Food was delicious serving size was perfect . Had a fun time . Will be back soon ,
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
We enjoyed this place! Love the pager system. Their shrimp are huge, and their fish and chips were excellent - not greasy at all. Really tasty! We will be back.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
4 stars for being fast and convenient! Same food as the fish market but without a 2 hour time suck. Cajun was good for not actually being in the south. Although I have lived around real cajun and it's not quite the same level. Ceviche was nice and fresh. The lobsters there looked amazing and i might have to come back on a weekday when I can get in and get something made fresh without a huge crowd around me.

Yelp

Yelp
Where's the flavor? My family and I ordered one of everything off of the menu yesterday and this place ain't it. From the clam chowder, fried foods, boiled & grilled the food just seemed cold bland and dirty. The entire lobster I ordered was filled with more feces than the meat itself. Condiments? What are those? You got to pay for extras like lemons, sauce ..etc. for the price you're charging they should come with the meal. Especially since you're going to need it from the food being so cold and bland. I'm disappointed for having to wait in such a long line around the building. What a waste of time and money. Especially coming from Santa Barbara county. Should have just gone to the pier up here. So unfortunate. But maybe it's just my family and I's palate? Try it for yourself...

Yelp
Pretty good . Tried the crab, shrimp, clams, potatoes and corn . Interesting area. Would probably go back again.

Yelp
If you want fresh seafood then this is the place to go. Loved it all. However, the feud between the other restaurants over the tray situation that does not allow customers to take their food and alcohol to sit wherever you want is a bit petty. Hope they work it out.

Yelp
SO DELICIOUS!!!!! Seafood was amazing!!! So good I am adding it to my next vacation in the east coast. And the Service was so wonderful. Superb!!! Wish I remembered our servers name she was GREAT!

Yelp
I ordered the 'fish platter' and was looking forward to a good meal. Sad to say it wasn't so. Terrible actually. I barely sat down and was called up for pickup. When this happens, you know what to expect. You guessed it - pre-cooked! First bite, fish was not hot - it definitely was sitting in a warmer. Not freshly prepared and dry! The chopped veggies were bathing in cooking oil too. What a rip-off. For $18, one would expect a much different food experience. You've been warned.

Yelp
Long story short, I waited in line for 20-something minutes to order. I waited an hour and went to check on my order, they said it wasn't ready. I waited another 30 minutes and went to check again. They said that fishes take 45 minutes to grill but at this time I had already waited an hour and a half so they were kind enough to check their receipt orders, they couldn't find mine so they told me to go to the other window and check if they had my order there. They didn't have it there so they scrambled around and asked me for my receipt because they couldn't find any orders with the buzzer number. So then they have the audacity, after making my family wait there for an hour and a half, to tell me that it was gonna take 45 minutes to grill the fish( so the fish I had picked and they had charged me by the pound was either out of the ice for an hour and a half or they were just gonna pick a random one) I was patient enough and I wasn't gonna wait anymore so I asked for a refund. I asked for a receipt of the refund, they gave me the oily order receipt they had displaced. (Oh so the receipt order appeared after all with a hand written order # 261 instead of the 251 in the buzzer, so there was the issue) I told them that wasn't a receipt of the order. They couldn't give me a receipt for the refund, so I guess I just had to trust them like I had trusted them with my order. I get it, mistakes happen but own up to them specially when you've made the clients wait an a hour a half, use common sense, and don't treat your clients like dumb people that won't understand your simple process. Horrible customer service and customer experience. I didn't feel valued, I wasted 2 hours with my family there, and now I have to be that annoyed person writing a rant. I discourage anyone else to waste their time there, there's options.

Yelp
So I came here with my friend who was visiting from out of town and also people always hyping up this place so had to check it out. Honestly it was good nothing spectacular. We waited 2 hours to just get in to wait in another line to order food or drinks. I had to fight for a table as there isn't many so ur left basically with not much. And on top of it for the price I'll say the food was mediocre. I would prefer doing to boiling crab as at least they have more options for sauces and what not and aren't super expensive. I would save my money and go somewhere else. The micheladas were also $60 for 4 beers and I like the ones from my local swap meet better.

Yelp
Crusty Got GREEN!!!!! This is the WORST..... You know this tray with Mildew and green mildew rice (I hope that is rice) is a HELL TO THE NO!!!!!..... My food sitting on this tray with a thin piece of white paper in between..... Nope!!! NEVER AGAIN. Why is this ok, the employees should know better. Spent $87.00 on fish & $60 on crab all for the trash. The Health Department Needs to inspect these guys.

Yelp
I would give this place 5 stars but they dissolution me when they took away the free delicious Bread and butter. micheladas is also a bonus as to why we love coming here but they've gotten really cheap on the chamoy and chili on the rim of the glass we use to love that about them and now only lightly drizzled not cool ! Also the salad has a pool of water at the bottom of the bowl, I'll post a picture. Guys, drain the water from the iceberg lettuce completely cause it's just gross and also iceberg isn't expensive so please serve it fresh and not browned. I come here for the crab legs OMG the best ever!!! I'm so happy that hasn't changed. Still very delicious. We always order 2 lbs and well worth it!!!!!

Yelp
Food is really good I just won't recommend the micheladas. They are nasty and for $17. I rather go somewhere else for micheladas.

Yelp
This place is great! Definitely come here for their combo platters and oysters. I went with my family and we got a dozen oysters and shared a huge platter and fried fish. It was so huge all 6 of us could barely finish it! It came with a ton of garlic bread, shrimp, potatoes, bell peppers, and chunks of fish. I love the seasoning they use! While it's not build your own like the fish market restaurant that was featured on buzzfeed, it is still amazing. You can also get sides on their side counter, so we got rice and french fries to compliment the food. Such a great lunch to spend with your family!

Yelp
Seafood platter - check! Alcohol - check! Fried Talipia with veggies - check! We were already here and had to try the seafood. We opted for the Fried Talipia and 1.5 pounds of shrimp. When it comes to taste, I felt it was missing a lot of seasoning. Super bland on both fish and shrimps. The seasoning and saute reminds me of the carne asada saute. We added tons of salt and pepper (ok maybe a pinch of this and that) to season it. As for the price - WOW!!! Do the math - it's 1.5 lbs of shrimp for $50, that's like $33 a pound. Really?! Holy moly! I guess if you mix in the experience and the onboarding whale watching lady's voice every few minutes. You can call that entertainment-otherwise run for the hills. The Talipia was good, but still need seasoning and it was $22 a plate

Yelp
Okay prices and food. Uber eats available. Prices are very pricey but I guess inflation lol

Yelp
We went to check this place out. Didn't order food but enjoyed watching others eating big trays of food. We opted to buy a whole fish halibut and take home to cook. Very disappointed fish must have been frozen and thawed multiple times. We threw it all away fish was very mushy! Don't buy the fish

Yelp
I grew up visiting the San Pedro Fish Market and it vastly different from what it used to be a few years back. The Crusty Crab had a smaller line compared to the other eateries, which made getting our food quick and easy. The prices are pretty inflated, but it's a highly visited tourist area so I'm sure that is one of the reasons why. We opted in for the shrimp and fish tray (#6) and have plenty of leftovers. This combo can easily feed about 4 people. I did feel like the shrimp needed a bit more seasoning; which is something that can easily be remedied on the business's side. The garlic bread has always been one of my favorite things about the fish market since you can make little sandwiches with the shrimp fajitas! Overall, we enjoyed our day at San Pedro and I was able to show my husband a little bit of my childhood!

Yelp
This place is located in San Pedro Fish Market, along with similar establishments like Cafe Internacional, Fish Market, etc. Parking is packed and the weekend wait line could be long, been coming here on weekends, the place is usually packed. View of Los Angeles port, passing by cruise ships. You could get a harbor cruise right next door. About 20 tables, a self-serve system with a pager when your order is ready. Decent fried fish with potatoes/fajitas (I've tried to add shrimp to fajitas and wasn't impressed), clam chowder is good, but to be honest, I think this place a bit overpriced. No free lemons or condiments, they charge for everything. You could say it's a tourist trap, but I think most of the patrons are LA Port employees and their families. Sometimes tables are dirty and could be cleaned better.
