Ctrl Z Coffee

Small spot with racing decor and photography memorabilia. Seating and pastry selection are very limited, but what they had was pretty nice. They do not do any drip coffee but have very reasonable and very good pour overs. Worth swinging by if you're in Bridgeport.

The ube latte was phenomenal. Kelly was alone with at least 20 people in the shop waiting. She was quick, kind, and professional. She was under a lot more pressure than I could have handled, yet she still rocked it. 10/10 would recommend again. Our friends and the store loved her!

this place has been my go-to spot for the last 6 months anytime I am in the neighborhood, which says a lot because I don't stay loyal to mediocre coffee. The coffee is consistently excellent - smooth, balanced, and clearly made with intention. The space is genuinely cozy (not fake-cozy), and it's the kind of place where you sit down "for a minute" and accidentally stay way longer. Their creative drinks like Spanish and pandan lattes are fun and actually good - no gimmicks. Great coffee, great vibe, zero attitude. Bridgeport gem.

A chill spot for a catch up with a friend. Better suited for a cafe study session than an elongated hang. The Pan Ube was flavorful. The cortado was solid. The matcha ube was earthy and not sweet. CTRL Z is chill respite from the snow.

So happy to have this amazing cafe close by! Amazing cappuccinos and VERY reasonable prices. A balanced flavor between steamed milk & espresso. I have been here twice in one week 🤩 I tried their initial Mano Cafe and saw it's owned by the same people in an article from the Block Club. It definitely gave me the push to try it! A note on the price, $4 for a third wave coffee cappuccino is a STEAL! I would much rather have these low prices and no "rewards" I need to keep track of.

Awesome little shop in Bridgeport. It's very quiet, cozy and peaceful. From the zen sand garden to the little newspapers they have around, everything just (quietly) screams of home. I had a caramel latte and not only was it tasty, it also looked very appealing. I'll definitely be back

A recent grand opening to Bridgeport right around the corner of Fat Peach Bakery. Wanted to show some neighborhood support, and very happy this coffee shop mixes up a decent Spanish latte. Their aesthetics and surround sound is stellar. The barista is kind and friendly, too. Will come by to try their Asian inspired pastries soon!

TLDR: If you prefer coffee shops that are welcoming and more communal, this is NOT the place for you. This is more of a “order your shit and leave” atmosphere despite what they post on instagram. Longer version: Ive been meaning to check out Ctrl Z as it’s a newish coffee shop in the neighborhood, and im a regular at the surrounding shops in Bridgeport. So, why not? I walked in 1 hour before closing and asked if they were still open out of consideration as no other customers were in the store. Dumb question maybe, but that’s just me and I was more-so just trying to engage. The girl working there immediately seemed annoyed and put off, mumbled something before sauntering over to the register. I ordered the ube matcha - tastes good but not worth the experience and customer service. She mumbled and stared at me throughout my ordering. It was just plain weird and I genuinely felt she was bothered by my presence, just an overall weird and unwelcoming interaction. Idk if I’ll be back, but I would like to redeem them at some point because it’s a modern take on Filipino coffee culture, apparently. I understand people have bad days or maybe they were understaffed (idk, it was empty while I was there). I’ve worked retail and customer service so I understand but I’ve never tried to make people feel uncomfortable.

Kelly is super nice and the vibe is awesome! highly recommend. I'm not a coffee person but the drinks are still very good!

Unlike when I moved here 15 years ago, Bridgeport has no shortage of coffee shops. However Ctrl Z Coffee fits a unique niche with its Filipino flavors - the Ube latte and pan de coco are delish. I wouldn't mind more pastry/food options but Fat Peach is just down the street so it makes sense that Ctrl Z would focus on drinks. Other reviewers seemed to have issues with the folks working there but I've only experienced great service and friendly baristas. I'm glad to be able to support a local Filipino woman-owned business and whether you're serious about good coffee or just want to try a unique drink Ctrl Z is worth a visit.

Stopped by a new coffee shop in Bridgeport and loved how cute and calm it was. Even with just one barista, our drinks came out pretty fast. I had a matcha latte with an espresso shot. It was okay, but I was hoping for a stronger matcha flavor. My husband ordered the Spanish latte and really liked it, though it tasted a bit like cereal milk to me. Great addition to the neighborhood and worth checking out!

I'm so happy that theyr3 finally open! Use been monitoring the remodeling process in hope of trying them ASAP. Cutely decorated in a small but cozy space. Today I got to try it after my morning jog and I for the ube iced latte, it was one of the most delicious ube iced latte I've try. It doesn't have a strong syrup flavor like most coffee shop has. And it even have a roasted hint. The coffee was perfect pick me up! Can't wait to try the others!

Fantastic lattes! We tried the Spanish latte and the pandan latte and both were delicious. I can't stop thinking about that pandan. Must go back. The barista was very kind and I always appreciate good latte art. The space is unique and cool to hang. I used to live down the block and would have loved having this place nearby back then. It's worth the drive though.

The barista here made me so uncomfortable that I decided not to even get coffee. Like insanely unfriendly - to us anyway.
