The 22 Best Tacos In Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"Cuantos Tacos specializes in Mexico City-style tacos, consisting of a double layer of tiny corn tortillas filled with a few different meat options (plus a mushroom one). Ask five friends what their favorite is and you’ll end up with five different answers, but the suadero and cachete are our favorites, along with the weekly lengua special. The tacos are small enough that you can try them all if you’re up for it. Just ask them for one of each then get ready to enjoy an excellent taco sampler platter. And as much as we love the corn tortillas they use here, it’s worth trying a quesadilla on flour as well—the champinoñes do a great job of balancing out all the cheese. What To Get: Suadero taco; Cachete taco; Champiñones quesadilla" - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion

Just ask them for one of each, then get ready to enjoy an excellent taco flight. You’ll find Cuantos in the Arbor Food Park on East 12th, in a large, BYOB park full of picnic tables, so grab a six pack from Quickie Pickie right down the street before you grab some tacos." - nicolai mccrary, adele hazan, raphael brion

The 20 Best Food Trucks In Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"Heading to Mexico City every time you crave street tacos is time-consuming, expensive, and probably not feasible for 99% of us. Fortunately, we can just head to Cuantos Tacos in East Austin, where the specialty is tiny tacos packed full of finely minced and heavily seasoned meat. Ask six people which of the six fillings is their favorite, and you’ll probably get six different answers. Order one of each (they’re around $3) to try them all and form your own opinion." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs

Best Tacos in Austin | Eater Austin

"This Central East Austin taco truck has become one of the city’s best, specializing in Mexico City-style tacos from daytime to nighttime. The suadero and cachete are wonderful, and the meat mixtures (campechana, revuelta, or the champi-longi) are excellent, too. Look out for specials, such as the estilo matamoros (influenced by the city of Matamoros) with bistec, or the tripas. Most folks eat outside on the picnic tables here, but if a different vibe is what you crave, you can place takeout and delivery orders online." - Nadia Chaudhury
