Cuban Guys - Review - Kendall - Miami - The Infatuation

"Cuban guys is a Miami chain of fast casual Cuban restaurants that’s a dependable spot for good, fast, and affordable Cuban food—which also happens to be their slogan. They have one of the better fritas in Miami with the added advantage that it’s available after places like El Rey and El Mago close. They also do good versions of cubanos, medianoches, and a solid pan con bistec. If you want what an abuela may refer to as “real food,” you can also get a Cuban version of a burrito bowl with rice, black beans, and a protein like vaca frita. If you just want a snack, the croquetas here are excellent, and they have these adorably delicious mini papas rellenas." - Carlos C Olaechea

Google
The food quality is excellent and fast service. This location is kept very clean and pleasant for customers. I come here at least once a month. Highly recommended.

Lorrie Perez

Google
Ordering was fast and easy. The food was ready right on time, I love all the food options. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. They have a great value deal every day. I'll definitely be back to try the other deals. Today we had the cuban Friday for $4.

Zakary Miranda

Google
Stopped by Cuban Guys for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. The frita had that classic Cuban flavor—simple, tasty, and satisfying without trying too hard. Service was fast, the place was clean, and it’s a solid go-to when you’re craving something familiar and flavorful. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for a good frita without all the extra fuss.

Google
Cuban guys in sunset and 107 is a hidden gem! They have the best shakes in town—fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. Whether it's mango, mamey, or papaya, you can’t go wrong. But the real star for me is their pan con Bistec —absolutely delicious! The meat is tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly, and the bread is always fresh and toasted just right. The portions are generous, and the service is fast and friendly. If you're in Sunset area and craving authentic, flavorful Cuban food with amazing shakes, this is the spot. Highly recommended!

Google
Stopped by for their Pan Con Bistec which happened to be on special ($6!?), they have daily specials. I figured it'd be a bit smaller as most restaurants are having to resize portions due to our current economic realities but NO, it was a VERY good size sandwich it tasted great!

Orlando Trujillo

Google
Absolutely Love Cuban Guys! Their Frita is the best and they have great daily specials for the entire family. Tasted their Pan con Bistec today for the first time and loved it as well. Can’t say I’ve ever had anything g here that I haven’t enjoyed. Definitely recommend 👍

Google
Food was great chill laid back place also.

Christina Powers

Google
Food was really good! Delicious and fresh. Coffee was amazing. Service was quick. We don't speak fluent Spanish so they had one worker come up front to take our order which was kind. Atmosphere was clean and nice. Food was pricey though, but other than that had a good experience. Not sure if we'd come back though due to the price, we got two sandwiches, one had thin steak in it to be fair, and 1 black coffee, and 1 coffee con leche, came out to around $30.

Yelp
The food here is amazing, full of authentic Cuban flavors, and the service is excellent. The place is cozy, great for family time or even getting some work done. Definitely worth a visit..... you won't regret it!

Yelp
I feel like Cuban Guys is a hidden gem! Even though it gives fast food vibes, it's so much more than that! Every day during the week they have a special of the day. My favorite is the pork bowl day, the servings are huge and literally $7!!
google avatar

Alexa C.

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick lunch on my break and was pleased to find out they offer decently priced daily specials. I got a pan con lechón for $6 as it was the Monday offer. On Fridays, they have fritas for $4 which you honestly can't beat. The service is quick and although I could've ordered online I chose to come in person and dine in. The place was really clean and everyone behind the counter was bustling to bring the orders out for everyone as quick as possible so that's really helpful. My sandwich was toasted perfectly and loaded with meat which means I was full pretty quickly. It's the perfect spot for quick and casual fast Cuban food served just right for a bargain. If you're in the area, give them a try.

Yelp
Im always trying to give my people's cuisine a chance but DAMN!!, This was the worse Cuban Frita I had in my life, that meat had not taste at all, it was so bad that I though for a second I had Covid, besides that, the costumer service was very nice, but again that meat was just not good at all .Wont be coming back to this place .

Yelp
Nothing like reggaeton on a Sunday morning, playing on "Cuban Guys Radio." Not the vibe I was looking for. At least have the courtesy of playing some power 96! Food was basic. Nothing memorable. However, the breakfast French fries were delicious. Great service. Very kind employees. Just understaffed. Place was clean.

Yelp
Wow! So im out in Kendall on business from California and I had 1 personal goal. To get a Cuban sandwich. Well I dont know whats good or where to start. So I just Uber eats this place cause it looked bomb! Well heres my review! Great job guys!
google avatar

Barbie R.

Yelp
Las frituras de malanga are the bomb! They also have one of my favorite tamales con lechón! Wow. Service is always friendly and you get your food fast. The restaurant is always clean and well kept. They are a great spot for a good pan con bistec. Check them out.
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
This place is incredible, sandwiches and great service. If you're in the mood for a Frits Cabana!! You must stop here... Clean and friendly place. You won't be disappointed!!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Cuban Guys is delicious! From the pan con bistec, the frita, and the watermelon juice?! I can't ask for more perfection. Always great having cuban guys for a quick easy bite.
google avatar

Lilianne D.

Yelp
For a quick meal, worth the money. Simple, easy, and they have specials everyday. Say no more
google avatar

Gabriel B.

Yelp
Came and got a pan con bistec, it's great when you want something fast and on the go!

Yelp
We needed food after landing at the airport and the Cuban Guys was the perfect place on a Friday night. We went around 9pm and it was fairly busy but the food came out fast! I got the Cuban Guys Sandwich and two others got the Cuban Bowl. The sandwich was both crisp and melty with plenty of onion straws. The bowls were truly the star though. The pulled pork was flavorful and tender. The chicken bowl was perfectly seasoned and delicious. I'd recommend any of the bowls. This is a great stop for Cuban food if it's late or you're short on time!
google avatar

Lizbeth E.

Yelp
Always a good quick option. The pan con bistec is yummy and good size portion. If you want good quick Cuban food this is a good spot to check out. However I feel like any ventanita in Hialeah will probably be tastier and cheaper.

Yelp
Though I did enjoy my sandwich there, I must admit it is a pretty average fast-food-style sandwich place. The open-kitchen area looks clean enough from this side of the counter, but the tables, and generally the public's side could have been better, and while the main responsible of this is the public, part of the job of a restaurant is to counter that. The environmental music was also a bit too loud for my taste, but still within what's reasonable for a food establishment, so I won't hold it against them. The Sandwich was filling and felt fresh, though I found it a bit lacking on the flavor side. I enjoyed it, but there was something missing. Other than that, the soda machine on the public side with the standard endless refills and the fair pricing make this a good place to go for a quick bite, but you can find better sandwiches around if you take the time to look for them.

Yelp
We ordered via Uber eats We ordered two pan con (ham) croquette, one cuban sandwich, three pulled pork cuban bowls, and two cuban burgers. First, they forgot one of the burgers. Uber was able to refund. Second, food quality was just ok. The pan con croquette was just ok, with the bread fairly dense. The Cuban was also just ok. The size was generous and the pork was tasty and excellent. The bread again was just ok, and the sandwich didn't have any type of salami - which I know isn't traditional in all places as this version only had pork and ham. The pulled pork bowl was excellent. Our kids loved it. So, if you order the pulled pork - I think you will be happy. If not, this place is passable.

Yelp
Great food , great service, reasonably priced every time. We've had a great experience here. Wish we lived closer to come more often.
google avatar

Yelp
Grabbed a couple of Cuban sandwiches for lunch one day. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was great considering the competition for a good Cuban sandwich in the Miami area. Will definitely go back if the opportunity arises.

Yelp
I love this place. The food is always consistently good. It's just real down to Earth grub and I love it. It gets straight to the point and it's cooked with love. I have ordered the steak sandwich and couldn't finish it in one sitting. It was well worth the price. My stomach was full literally all day off of eating that sandwich, lol. They make unique french fries that are fresh and in-house. I haven't had a tamale in so long since moving from California and I don't believe I've ever tried a Cuban one. I ordered one from them and it was delicious along with a side of roasted pork. Everything blended perfectly. It was so good and flavorful. I'm trying their breakfast next and even though I ordered through a delivery app, I think the Manager/Owner (A Guy) called me just to confirm how I wanted my eggs. I found that to be so sweet and I'm so appreciative of it. Most restaurants would've just did anything and moved on with their day but for him to take extra effort to ask how I want my eggs, I appreciate it. It's the simple things. The only thing I suggest is for the stuffed potatoes to make it more meatier and like more authentic I guess. I don't know lol and to update the delivery service app because people are not able to specify certain things on there or put any notes. Thank you and keep up the good work. Your doing great!

Yelp

Yelp
ROCK ON!!! What a great place to grab a bite! I had the Pan Con Bistec (Steak sandwich) and it was EXCELLENT! Freshly prepared, excellent presentation, clean restaurant, friendly staff! They hit all my concerns and passed with flying colors! I will DEFINITELY return and try something different as I now want to go through the menu! Pricing was so much better than I expected for the amount of food I received!

Yelp
We're traveling back home today and wanted something quick to eat. We stopped in and ordered 2 Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwiches and Mango juice. VERY GOOD!!!!

Emma A.

Yelp
The french fries are really bad but we couldn't stop eating them for some reason. Not sure what that means. ‍

Cade D.

Yelp
Went to get a Cuban sandwich and paid ~$10 and got Cuban bread with pulled pork. No ham, no Swiss, no mustard, no pickles. Literally not even close to a Cuban sandwich. The rice and beans also were not good. 0/5 stars. Avoid this place, sad excuse for Cuban food especially in Miami.
google avatar

Adiala N.

Yelp
so disappointed on the quality of food and presentation. we use to go to this location all the time and it's gone down so much I was so sad. We had 1 frita(ok) 2 bowls(ok) a pan con bistec (horrible it was cold & no taste) & an order of mariquitas. The service was just as bad the lady at the counter taking our order was annoyed that we were ordering food.. when we asked for the sauce for the Marquita's she literally huffed and puffed and what she gave us was a container of oil. Not sure if the owners sold this location or what but geez has it changed..
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
I love this Cuban Guys. You can't go wrong with any of the burgers or frita. During this COVID-19 pandemic they take all the precautions to make food safe and able to pick up. Thank you.
google avatar

Andrew G.

Yelp
Came in for a late lunch with a friend. With so many great cuban places in Miami, this place did not do much to separate it from the other restaurants. The food was good but nothing special. We ordered at the counter and waited 10-15 minutes for our sandwiches and chips. The sandwiches were good, but lacked a little flavor and could have been filled more.

Tony P.

Yelp
Good service and good food at a fair price. The place was nice and clean. Ambience was good.
google avatar

Rolando N.

Yelp
Cuban Guys Great customer service good foods Fast service.I would recommend this place To my friends and family.
google avatar

Yelp
Fritas are tasteless, the place is clean and prices are reasonable but the famous Cuban Berger or Fritas should be by pass. NOT GOOD AT ALL
google avatar

Sara D.

Yelp
Every time I had come here to eat is a Frita. Delicious. Mariquitas with a side of garlic sauce are crisp, not greasy. We asked for a Frita with Cheese, no onions. Also for a regular one with onions. The Fritas are not seasoned to overpower the taste buds. Just a hint of seasoning. They come with the customary potatoes sticks. It gives them a crunchy complexion. A sample of Hot Cheese croquetas, fairly spicy. There are a couple of sizes to order. We took the three croquetas sampler. . They have Tostones sandwiches. I need to tried them next time I come to eat. Also their bowls look nice. Cuban Ice cream Sandwiches are different and delicious. They have top & bottom covered with a very sweet thin cake crust. They come in three flavors: Vainilla, Chocolate, Strawberry. To come to Miami and not have a Frita, is not being to Miami for me.
google avatar

Yelp
Growing in Miami and especially in Cuban family I find that its very difficult to find good Cuban food outside the kitchen of grandma. Then my brother recommended this place which turned out to be really good Cuban food but with a more modern twist. Located on sunset and off 107 ave close to our home, this place has become one of our favorite places to pick something up when nothing is prepared at home. Here the most popular dishes are the Cuban bowls which come in several different flavors and the one we always choose is the steak bowl. The bowl consist of sliced palomilla steak on a bed of rice, they give you the option of white or brown rice, diced sweet plantains, and grill onions. Its truly amazing and the portions are good for an average person. We also ordered the Cuban sandwich, which in my opinion was good but the best Cuban I had but still very tasty and filling. The staff are very friendly and they prepare the food on a lighting speed.

Yelp
My review is based on a parking lot event that you get to eat in your car (COVID-19 order to go and eat in your car). You can now get Burger Beast Burgers at any of their South Florida locations. Cuban Guys is great. My last visit here at the Cuban Guys on Sunset was to go out and support Burger Beast himself. He hosted a pop-up (car window hop) event at this location and it was fabulous. Troys Cereal Breaded Tenders with the Burger Beast Sauce Honey Mustard Curry is to die for. This is the best honey mustard sauce I've had in my life. The Guava Srirarcha Ketchup is pretty bomb too. If you haven't had a Burger Beast Burger go now! Other great items Cuban Guys had are their 2 for $6 fritas. You get two fritas for $6, one is on a Cuban roll and the other is on a Martins Potato roll. All the Burger Beast Burgers are awesome. I need to try the croqueta dog they have out now. Cuban Guys also has sandwiches like Pan Con Bistec or Pan Con Lechón. They also have Cuban bowls with sweet plantains (diced) that are to die for. Cuban Guys is here to stay. Can't wait to go back soon.

Yelp
I had really been really looking forward to visiting this place, as I had throughly enjoyed their Toston sandwich ch from their food truck. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a disappointment. The Toston Sandwich was a delicious as that of the food truck. But we also ordered a Frita that was a bit tasteless, mariquitas that were also pretty bland, but then the biggest downfall was their Mini Papa Rellena. The outside was not very crunchy and once you bit into the beef they're stuffed with was cold. Like ice cold. Definitely would not order again, and I'm not sure I would visit the establishment again.
google avatar

Yelp
Initially making fun of this establishment for its naming convention (five guys, burgers and fries--Cuban guys sandwiches and more) I was actually very impressed with this locations set up and the food chain in general. First off, this is definitely a fast food joint. It is your general run of the mill burger spot, but with Cuban food. I got the frita, which is a burger with those little julian fries on it. For the price (around 4$) it was a good amount of food. I also had the shake (single flavor malt) which was pretty filling. The food came out pretty quick and the staff were standard Miami helpful. The place seems to be a popular spot and do a lot of business, and I like the cultural connection being made here with the local folks. This place gets 4/5 because: 1: the food was a lot for cheap 2: for the cheapness, it was still pretty tasty. 3: an extra point for this elephant ear type breaded desert thingy I had that was lighter and more filling than a regular elephant ear (sorry I forgot the name) 4: food arrived fast. 5: loses a star here because the name of this place almost made me not come here (because I was making fun of it being too close to 5 guys) an impulse I wish wasn't propagated by the name.

Yelp
This is my new favorite sandwich spot. I used to get my pan con bistecs from Palacio de los Jugos. Now, don't get me wrong, they do a good steak sandwich. But this place? I can't even tell you what they really do to make it so good, but it is SO. DAMN. DELICIOUS. I went from having pan con bistec a couple times a year to about once a week. My only regret is that this sandwich is so good, i haven't tried anything else on the menu! Except for the mariquitas, which are also great. My wife enjoys the Medianoche as well. Nothing to complain about here. The staff is nice, the owner is friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable. I really like Cuban Guys!

Alejandro B.

Yelp
Really the worst place to buy a steak sandwich. The steak inside was almost invisible. No potatoes almost nothing.
google avatar

Violeta C.

Yelp
My go to for a Cuban sandwich & mamay shake! Food and shakes are fresh & delicious and their staff is great.
google avatar

Elena V.

Yelp
Good Cuban fast food. Love their breakfast here plentiful and cheap! We came here for dinner though and got the Pan con Bistec (steak sandwich), Frita (Cuban burger made with Chorizo), Cuban guy sandwich, mariquitas and a tequeno with guava and cheese! Everything was delicious! Bread was soft and fresh. They have a special every night of the week for something different. Definitely coming back for more tequenos and great affordable Cuban food!!!
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
I was a bit hungry after work and decided to stop in and give this place a try. I ordered the Mariquitas with the garlic sauce and a Frita with cheese. The Mariquitas (fried thin slices of plantain) were delicious! I enjoyed the garlic sauce that accompanied them. The Frita was good. I thought it was a bit too much bread per bite for my liking. The flavor of the patty was very good. The chorizo doesn't overpower the meat and the little shoestring fries gave it a good crunch.
google avatar

Wendy A.

Yelp
What do you do when you are hungry here in Miami? You find a Cuban place to eat in Yelp and that's exactly what we did. We had a great dinner this past Saturday, where we had a Cuban Sandwich De Medianoche, with LOTS of Ham, Cheese, mustard and with a semi sweet yellow bread, toasted and with a delicious taste. We also had tamal with some pork and species inside. It was good. I didn't like the thin fries it came with but I loved the regular fries we order to accompany the sandwich. The service was ok and we got a free soda with our Yelp check in.
google avatar

Melanie L.

Yelp
Tried this place out with my family and it was great! The sandwiches are super cheap and fresh. Once we ordered our sandwiches the wait time was no longer than 10 minutes. The Frita sandwiches were filling, but came with no side. The single Frita sandwich was $4. Good to know there are still cheap Cuban places like this around Miami.
google avatar

Zoila C.

Yelp
We had dinner Friday and it was so good that we ended going back on Saturday and Sunday. My favorite is the Steak Sandwich but the Cuban Sandwich is out of this world! The pork is not sliced is the fried pork chunks but pull apart like pull pork ! Omg you guys need to try it! Everything is delicious! The bowls are also very good and you need to get Mariquitas!
google avatar

Fernando C.

Yelp
If you need Cuban on the go, Cuban Guys is the way to go. Fast service, great taste. Had the pan con tortilla and added bistec along with a pan con bistec. Everything was hot and fresh!

Orlando C.

Yelp
worst Cuban sandwich I ever !!! The ham didn't taste good the bread was stale they barely put mustard . Complete waist of my money
google avatar

Victor L.

Yelp
Ambience: none. Fluorescent lighting doesn't even look good in doctors offices; it doesn't work at all for a restaurant of any kind. Food: just ok. I had the croqueta preparada and my wife had the Cuban sandwich. The shoestring potatoes were stale and lukewarm. Like they had been sitting around all day in cold grease. The bread was mot much better. No crunch, just spongy. Maybe they were having a bad day, but I can get better sandwiches from Pollo, and they have a drive thru.
google avatar

Sergei R.

Yelp
The food truck was at my work the other day. The menu looked enticing. I ordered the vaca frita sandwhich that was $12. When I sat down, the food was just warm, didn't taste fresh. It was EXTREMELY dry and the meat which seemed like bistec rather then vaca frita tasted more like liver . Was definitely not worth that price and not that good. I will say their wavy/curly fries were pretty good though. I wouldn't eat from that food truck again. Just not worth it.
google avatar

Maria A.

Yelp
First time here. On a Saturday afternoon I expected it to be packed but it wasn't. Maybe due to memorial weekend and people going away for the weekend. It was roomy and it looked uncluttered however the tables were dirty. Both my husband and I ordered the vaca frita bowls, my son ordered the chicken bowl and my youngest a chicken sandwich for kids. The food didn't take long to receive. We ordered to go so it was fast. The bowls can definitely use more flavor, the yuca fritters can use for seasoning specially a little salt. I ordered the Churros which were extremely greasy but it's expected as they are fried after all but they could place them on paper or something to soak up some of the oil. Both my husband and eldest son thought their bowls we're ok but nothing to brag about. The girl who took our order looked like she really didn't want to be there, of course when so asked her a question she answered politely but I think she could have been just a little bit more friendly.
google avatar

Alain V.

Yelp
I had a coupon to this place, so I checked it out. The food was sub par, and for being a Cuban place in Miami, it was very bad. Many other Cuban places that serve huge quantities for cheaper. Sandwiches ranged from about $6-9, and that's just a sandwich with the thinnest slice of meat and a crap ton of potato stix, no sides. You might want to skip this one... but, if you do decide to go, check out there daily deals as it brings sandwiches down to about $4. The taste is okay I guess, but just know you'll be eating mostly break and potato. Picture shows my sad "steak sandwich".
google avatar

Patty K.

Yelp
Their steak sandwiches are the bomb! Actually everything they have is really good. The fried yucca sauce they have is different but really flavorful and it goes great on a lot of their things
