"If the idea of the Upstate L’Artusi is exciting to you, then you should make it a priority to go to Cucina. And if it’s not, then we’re curious and a little nervous to hear what does excite you. The seasonal Italian food, converted farmhouse, and wraparound porch make this place easily one of the best dinners you can have in the Hudson Valley. And it's the ideal backdrop for a romantic meal with your partner after a day of lounging around your Airbnb." - anne cruz

"The yellow farmhouse exterior of Cucina looks like it’d be on the cover of a Nicholas Sparks novel, and an evening here feels similarly romantic. When you walk through the wraparound porch and dining rooms, there’s still enough of the house’s original structure that it’s fun to imagine where all the living room furniture could be if you moved in. The rustic pastas, which are often filled with excellent local vegetables, perfectly match the setting. Bring a date here if you plan on asking them something serious, like whether they want to be your emergency contact or co-parent a foster dog with you." - Anne Cruz

This might've been the best meal I've eaten in my entire life. Went for an anniversary dinner, got a lovely table on the porch. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful with recommendations (I was indecisive, everything looked SO good). The calamari with their aioli was delightful, so light and crispy. We also got the caprina pizza and a risotto special (can't remember what was in it, just that it was creamy and amazing). Cocktails were also sooo good. We will ABSOLUTELY be back the next time we're in the area. <3

Great experience. Delicious food, drinks, atmosphere, and Emma’s attention. Recommended

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cucina Woodstock, and I left feeling incredibly impressed. The food was an absolute standout - everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff at Cucina Woodstock were attentive and friendly. They made our dining experience truly enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Cucina Woodstock. Whether you're seeking a romantic evening or a fun family outing.

Cucina is a gem. The staff are lovely, the food is wonderful, and the restaurant is stylish, serene, and sprawling. The fusilli is absolutely to die for, and the kale salad has been one of my favorite things to eat for over a decade.

My third visit to Cucina in the last six months was not the charm. The space is lovely, and the food is good. That said, the 2 daily specials we ordered were underwhelming at best, the server placed the order incorrectly, was absent most of the night, and the manger seemed interested in doing the bare minimum to make things right. When I’m spending over $200 for a meal, I want to feel cared for as a guest. (Maybe watching The Bear has raised my expectations of service too high?) I’m not sure if I’ll give it a fourth go in the future.

This venue is charming, and immaculate with high quality food and service! Our waitperson JoJo was attentive, enthusiastic, efficient and friendly. Our food was absolutely delicious. The fresh, homemade bread was out of this world as was the fine dipping olive oil. The main courses we enjoyed were creative and cooked to perfection. Dessert was amazing. See photos below. Highly recommend! Will definitely return again and again.

Strings of hanging fiesta lights draw one's attention to the big yellow house with an ample front porch. If you are lucky enough to have a reservation, you are in for a treat- "from soup to nuts". The basil cooler cocktail caught my eye for starters. It did take 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, one at a time, which was an unfortunate way to start our evening. Our server Sean, was attentive and apologetic but the bar was swamped, as he said. Diners know that if one is promptly served a cocktail and a piece of bread, waiting is no longer an issue. Our meal was absolutely worth the wait! The risotto with lobster, scallops and saffron was perfectly prepared with all the care and attention it takes for a proper risotto. The delicate flavors lingered on my tongue long enough to make me smile! All the dishes were of the same caliber, with another special mention - of the affogato desert - on a plate with the words "Happy Anniversary" written in script with fudge sauce around the border! Thank you to all the staff at Cucina for a lovely evening!

Google
A must stop if you’re ever in Woodstock. Cucina is an absolutely beautiful restaurant set in an old farm house. The gorgeous front porch is the place to dine on a warm night. The service was outstanding. Our food was equally excellent with an emphasis on the meatball appetizer which was simply some of the best meatballs I’ve ever tasted. The chicken parmigiana is a big plate of food but absolutely delicious. The linguine vongole was perfectly prepared as well. Their cocktails were fine but nothing to write about. The wine list is small but has some nice selections and our server was a bounty of knowledge about the lists. Without question one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in a long time.

Yelp
Everything was great here!! On our 4 day trip up here to Hunter, this was the best dinner we had!! Everything was beyond expectations! Atmosphere and ambiance was very nice and cozy! They have a full fireplace in one of the rooms. The food and service and was great!

Ariana A.

Yelp
Enjoyed everything we ordered. Especially the rigatoni, fusilli and the delicata squash. Eggplant Parmesan was difficult to share - it had a lot of liquid and fell apart instantly. Would recommend as a personal appetizer. Our server was a fun lady.

Yelp
These guys have been a staple of Woodstock for a beautiful deck dining experience that overlooks part of the MillStream and the WDST golf course. The table service is casual and smooth. The kitchen is rock solid for some signature Italian cuisine and the bartenders are crafty with the cocktails. Overall a great place to dine when you are in the great town of Woodstock.

Yelp
Cucina holds a special place in my heart, and it's lovely to see it still going strong all these years later. Wayyy before my pre-Yelp years, Cucina always fit the bill as THE place to be for its smash-hit status when we'd visit Woodstock, NY every time. There were so many things to marvel when you came here: the old farmhouse structure, the wood flooring, the warm glow lighting, the different dining rooms, the food, cocktails and service. And because of all this, we never had major regrets and never forgot to return year after year. Plus now that we're in town almost every weekend, we revisited. If online booking sends you to 'the next available date'- call to try and snag a table the day of- that's what hubs did. Our starter salads were tasty. We sang the praises with our cocktail ingredients+ strength. But we weren't buzzing about the protein in each of our main plates. Hubs loved the creamy polenta and Broccoli rabe- but from where I sat, his pork chop wasn't cutting soft and looked stiff as a board and knew my husband wasn't a fan. My Quinoa and Roasted Veggies dinner was plentiful and extremely tasty- but the $12 (4)shrimp add-on, were rock hard also. For Cucina, this was catastrophic. I almost have a sense of a let-down. Mainly because the owner+chef have made a menu to treasure- offering seasonal and sensational food- all with an unforgettable Woodstock experience. I totally get it, these aren't the best of times for restaurants and many, have changed their methods and quantity. And on the Saturday night we came here, it was clear.

Yelp
Cucina has a great staff and location at the entrance to woodstock. Unlike other woodstock restaurants cucina is open everyday so no need to guess. The food is consistent and very good. It's our "go to" when eating out.

Colette H.

Yelp
Loved this place! I was in the area hiking for the weekend and was looking for a good dinner spot. I'm glad I found this spot. It's easily accessible and is right off of the highway and in the village of Woodstock. We stopped in early for dinner and it wasn't too busy. The lighting and ambiance here was very cozy. I felt like I was inside someone's home. I loved all of my food. Everything was fresh and delicious. If you're here be sure to order the hot chocolate which is off menu. It was the best HC I've had. It tasted like they melted chocolate bars. I'll definitely stop back here again soon.

Jim B.

Yelp
Awesome! Great food, friendly and attentive service. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
Our best meal in Woodstock. Had appetizer, cocktails and pasta. The rigatoni was really good and the seafood risotto was excellent and had lots and lots of fresh tasting seafood. Service was good and place was clean and bright. Seats available outdoors too. My only change would have been my cocktail which had gin but was purple and tasted a little like the smell of lavender hand soap.. the wine after that was very nice though.

Jon V.

Yelp
We have been coming here once a week for years. Some of the staples like the Grilled Salmon are amazing. But they really out do themselves with their specials. Recent had Grilled Swordfish. And Shortrib Risotto

Mike D.

Yelp
All the yummy food you can imagine from designer pizza to salmon dishes. Great wine list and many beers I've never had! 6 of us and everyone was happy from our vegetarian to our meat only eater

Johnny W.

Yelp
The ambiance is definitely on the nicer side, where the decor looks elegant, warm, and welcoming. The staff and service were also very nice and speedy! The corn chowder special was tasty but felt a bit lacking where, as you can see in the photo, is only half full. The mussel special on Tuesdays was also a bit small for its price, where we counted around 15-16 pieces for 21 dollars, averaging a dollar and change per piece. The sauce that accompanied the mussel was on the sour side, which I personally would like it to be more garlicky or buttery than sour. The prickly pear yuzu drink was my personal favorite and I highly recommend it! The bolognese ricotta pasta was so incredibly flavorful that I literally couldn't stop eating it...even though it is my wife who ordered it haha. Our server, Briella, was so sweet, kind, and friendly that she literally made our dining experience so much more enjoyable! Our ribeye steak had some issues where it was first over cooked to well-done when we asked for medium-rare. Briella apologized and did her best to remedy it by requesting another one be made. However, the second one came out overly rare and Briella once again apologized profusely, which showed us that she really cared that we got what we requested. She never once argued with us or tried to persuade us that we were wrong, nor was she ever defensive about it; truly illustrating what customer-oriented service really looks like. Ultimately they were able to remedy it and the ribeye came out delicious with its herbed aioli! We want to take this moment to thank Briella for her diligence, care, and consideration in making our meal as perfect as it can be! Thank you, Briella, for being such an amazing server and for demonstrating what exemplary service looks like! We will definitely come back to try their many other delicious looking options! Definitely highly recommend the prickly pear yuzu soda and the bolognese! Thank you so much for reading and best of luck! (:

Yelp
Service was a bit slow, but worth it as the food was excellent and the outdoor patio was an amazing place.

Will N.

Yelp
The food and ambiance were fantastic, but the service was super slow. We were done eating for ages before they even came by.

Katherine R.

Yelp
Fabulous. Everything was delicious and the waitstaff was great! We came here for dinner with a large group and they were so accommodating. I also enjoyed the ambiance and the place itself was cute. Now onto the food. Let's start with the bread - fresh focaccia bread with olive oil and salt. YUM! The apps we tried (meatballs, and calamari) were both were awesome, and the bolognese I had for my main dish was to die for! To finish off the meal, I had the salted caramel ice cream Sunday. This was the only dish that didn't wow me. It was too salty for me, but it was still good to try it. Overall, I had a great experience and I would come back!

Shivina K.

Yelp
Stopped by this spot in our drive to Catskills for a ski weekend. Off the bat, the outside is really cute with tons of fire lamps and a nice lodge/homey feel. It's one of the few restaurants in the area that also closes at 10 so it's open a bit later. The thing that's truly special about this spot is their risotto of the day. When we went it was a creamy delicious lobster risotto. We also got the meatballs and the salmon which were both excellent. Definitely a great spot If you're staying in Woodstock!

Karly K.

Yelp
Simple & classy atmosphere, Lovely bread basket, Spinach ricotta ravioli = fantastic, Affogato = fantastic, Great service. That's all I've got for ya, Yelpers!

Leslie C.

Yelp
My friends told me this is the best restaurant in Woodstock and I can see why. The food is stellar. We had a large party and shared many appetizers such as the meatballs, crispy squid, and a few salads. The meatballs were on top of polenta and I loved it. The crispy squid was fantastic and I loved the aioli it came with. For my main course, I was blown away by the spinach ricotta ravioli, butter, sage, Parmesan and pistachio gremolata. This is the best ravioli I've ever had! Buttery perfection, it was perfectly al dente and the pistachio gremolata was divine! Lovely atmosphere and lighting. Indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is very loud unless you are in their smaller, quieter room, which we did reserve, but they gave our table to another party. We were very upset but felt management was sympathetic, professional and resolved the issue to our satisfaction. Lots of parking.

Yelp
Food was overall pretty good. Portion size of the chicken parm was quite surprising. For the overall price of the food at this restaurant there were some key things they were missing in the service end. For example: we finished up our meal and ordered a coffee. The waitress said, I'm sorry that it's taking so long, we had to brew a new batch. This is totally understandable and acceptable. What is not acceptable is bringing out the carafe of coffee, saying sorry that this took too long and not pouring it. It's the small details like that which are missed. These details matter when you're paying good money for an experience. The other weird thing to me is the pack of breadsticks that goes along with the complimentary bread. Maybe that is just weird to me that they would include that next to a somewhat fresh bread mix. The feel of the restaurant was pretty low light and relatively cozy. I have to say that there are a lot of little touch ups they could do to brighten up the restaurant. The website doesn't really reflect how it truly looks inside. No one really asked us how our food was, where we were from, etc... small talk with the guest is so important. It's especially important to do when people are just standing around. I'm not sure I'd be interested in going here again.

Yelp
First let me start the review by saying this place is dog friendly for patrons sitting on their outside covered porch. My husband and I decided to have dinner at the recommendation of our Airbnb host. We didn't think we needed a reservation since it was on a Tuesday in mid Sept. And although we easily got a table my suggestion is to make a reservation so their is no question you'll get a seat. We ordered the fried squid as a app, the kale salad and cream of broccoli soup. My description for all three is FRESH! The squid wasn't the frozen imitation squid, the kale salad was meaty and flavorful, and the cream of broccoli was not thick and creamy but still packed with flavor and just delicious! My husband got the quinoa with chicken and I had the salmon over corn pudding topped with cherry tomatoes. Hubby liked his dish but found the quinoa to be a little dry. And I loved my meal. The salmon was moist and cooked to perfection. The corn pudding was a nice touch, slightly sweet and compliment to the fish. Everyone we encountered from the hostess to our server were very kind, patient and helpful. They gave the right amount of attention, more if you were talkative and less if you just wanted to place your order and have a quiet meal. The ambience was calm, relaxing with low lighting. I highly recommend!

Yelp
First time visit to Cucina last weekend with my wife as we were headed to a Concert nearby. We used their online reservation system which was easy and convenient. Had an early dinner but place was filling up rapidly around 5:30pm on a Saturday. They are a quarter mile from the heart of Woodstock and the place, while elegant, gives off a warm mountain vibe. Menu has some creative dishes as well as more traditional ones like parmigiana and a steak offering. I started with the endive salad with apples and pears and an amazing drizzle of balsamic over some crushed walnuts. A bit out of my comfort zone usually but it was light, tasty and satisfying. I opted for the truffle risotto special which also is not in my typical wheelhouse and it didn't disappoint. Risotto was tender, truffle added a nice earthiness to the dish and the portion was so large, I took half home and I'm a bigger dude. Nice beer selection with some locally crafted choices. Flannel clad wait staff was attentive and friendly and worked as teams handling the tables. There is porch seating with propane heating units but we picked the more cozy indoor seating. Tips: they have coat check so use that to free up space at the table. There were children there but it is a bit quiet for the more energetic kids. The bread basket with olive oil is a nice addition to a great experience.

Christopher N.

Yelp
We were in the area for a show at Levon Helm Studios and wanted to grab some food to bring before the show. Ordered a margerita pizza, and ceasar salad for take out. With tip + tax it was $40. Went to pick up the food around 6:30pm on a Friday and it was absolutely mobbed. The food was ready and unfortunately they didn't have any dishes for us to split our salad (I got a non-vegetarian dressing on the side). We got to the parking lot and opened the pizza box and frankly were pretty disappointed. $17 for a flatbread pizza that could barely feed one person. The salad was also a pretty small portion and pretty skimpy on olives + tomatoes for $14. The pizza was... fine? The salad was also, fine. It just seemed super expensive for what it was. Maybe dining in is a must for this place, but it was honestly super disappointing amount of food for $40.

Sophie K.

Yelp
This place was our first stop in Woodstock when we arrived from Jersey. We made reservations about a month in advance. Everything looked amazing. The reviews were great. Cucina turned out to be just OK. The food was fine but nothing to really rave about. The atmosphere was really nice and the service was good but the food didn't "wow" me. Our dinner for two came out to $120 for two entrees, two sodas, a cappuccino and a lava cake. Not a terrible price but I've had better for less. Their menu is fairly limited so if we return to the Woodstock area, I'll probably skip this place next time.

Lori R.

Yelp
Best chicken parm I have ever had! Great ambiance on the front porch in the evening, staff is very efficient and friendly. Will return if ever back in the area.

Slim P.

Yelp
Our first visit. Well, we made a mistake going here on Labor Day weekend. Saturday night dinner felt like tag team wrestling. Without a doubt, it's very popular. My pasta dish was fair. Nothing special. My wife's appetizer and salad dish was to her liking. My drink request from the bar was tasty, thanks. Our waitress, Sam was wonderful. We will try again on a week night, after the throngs of weekend types leave.

W C.

Yelp
We came here last weekend with our friends and found Cucina to be a sweet little restaurant with pretty good food. While certain aspects of service could have been better, we left with a good impression overall. First problem though: the table. We were a party of six and got a table directly in the sun that was WAY too small to accommodate all the plates, cutlery, and glassware. It was tight and uncomfortable and it got too hot because they didn't have curtains covering the top portion of the windows (even after the hostess had been asked about that problem). There's a nice wine selection and "fun" sodas for the kids. For apps, we got their eggplant special pizza and the caprese salad. Both...fine. This is one of those places that just does whatever they do well enough, but it's not uber special in any way. You won't be disappointed or blown away. Same with our main meals: the potato gnocchi were a bit overcooked, but the sauce was nice and the burrata didn't hurt. The baby greens salad was bright and tasty, and the side of corn pudding was a little tooooo sweet but the portion was generous and it was a warm and cozy dish. For dessert, we got the salted caramel sundae and molten flourless chocolate cake. Again, both very good, but no fireworks per se. Service was slightly brusque but mostly efficient. The prices are high, but it's too be expected for an uppity place in the Catskills. Overall, you'll have a decent meal and walk away satisfied--not great, but good.

Scott L.

Yelp
A sign of an excellent place is when you have to wait 45 minutes for a table on a Tuesday night! Recommend reservations. Located in an old farmhouse, the space is tastefully decorated without frills. There is seating outside with heat lamps for those colder nights too. The staff is friendly. I had the pork scallopine which was a perfect balance of the lemon and capers, neither overpowered the dish. The table shared a few desserts which are not to be missed.

Justin W.

Yelp
The ambiance is beautiful! Perfect for a fall cozy experience. The food is mediocre. Didn't like any of the cocktails. We all had different ones. They tasted too tart like candy versus a sophisticated cocktail. The fried calamari was my favorite --this I would order again. The pasta was underwhelming and was drenched in red sauce. Mine was so acidic, I just made sure to eat the shrimp. Overall very charming place to gather but food and drinks are just okay.

Dave F.

Yelp
02/22/24 I have eaten here many times and the food and service has been excellent each visit! I have been here dining for 2 as well as a dozen or more and there has been no compromise in the quality of food nor the service. It's nice to dine outside in the summer or inside at a booth or large table. You can enjoy a beverage at the quaint bar should you arrive early. There is plenty of onsite parking.

Debbie C.

Yelp
We came here for Christmas. The chicken Parm was amazing, the piece of chicken was huge. Not pictured, but we also had the chopped Caesar salad. The service was fast and server was sweet.

Mark A.

Yelp
Went there for a Sunday Birthday dinner. 5 adults and a 3 year old. Atmosphere was very nice, food was excellent. Unfortunately, our waitress must have been having an off night. She was rude when she sat us. While ordering, we asked if there was a kids menu, the response "No". That was it, not "we can make a bowl of noodles" or anything of the sort. At that point, we almost walked out. Shockingly, this nasty attitude was to continue for the entire evening. We got a good laugh when we got our check, #1 my granddaughters meal was on the bill as "kids noodles". (Guess it really is a menu item)! #2 because we were a party of 6, 20% gratuity was automatically added onto the bill. She received a $60 tip despite her nastiness. Hope she isn't always that way.... Just avoid her and you will enjoy your meal

Katey G.

Yelp
What a cute restaurant in Woodstock!!! I've been to Sylvia's a couple times but am so happy to have switched things up and tried Cucina. We brought my friend here who is gluten-free and there were tons on options for everyone. The ambiance here is beautiful. It's almost like a chic Nancy Meyers fireplace. When you walk in there's an additional seating area adjacent to the bar which was packed when we left around 8pm. We started with some delicious drinks - the homemade sodas and the "Burt Venetian" we're especially good. We enjoyed the fried squid, rosemary fries, kale salad, chicken parm and butternut squash ravioli. Cucina really exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed our meal very much and will definitely be back during our next trip to Woodstock!

Abby C.

Yelp
I went here with a large group and the food was amazing. The gluten-free pasta was perfect! The service was great with drink recommendations and attentiveness. I loved how the whole restaurant appears as a historical house! Do not miss their espresso martini! One of the best I've had!!

Joy G.

Yelp
I'll definitely be thinking of the rigatoni pasta for awhile. Very happy that we were able to nab a reservation while in town. (Just FYI - they're not the red barn building with a sign that says "Takeout available." We accidentally parked behind the barn and then figured out the restaurant was the yellow building next door.) There's the L'Artusi comparison, for good reason. I could easily imagine Cucina tucked somewhere in the West Village, though the portions were definitely more sizable. And they give you house bread at the beginning. Another thing on their menu - the house-made sodas. I had both the fresh ginger and the cherry yuzu because your girl's thirsty. Preferred the ginger - very tart and spicy but with a nice dash of sugar to balance it out. We went with the stracciatella soup and kale salad. Whetted the appetite for the pasta that would come next. I was starving when we sat down and seriously contemplated getting two pastas and the salmon but I'm glad I got talked out of that. The rigatoni was perfect for sharing and definitely a stick-to-your-ribs kind of dish. The only thing it needed perhaps was a sprinkle of red chili flakes on top. They have outdoor seating with heat lamps but everyone sat inside the day I went. Would love to come back and try the thin-crust pizzas and more of the pastas. I will say, though, that it would have been nice to hear what the specials were - our waitress told the tables around us and they sounded really good. The host also was a little brusque.

Ruby A.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, good food and good service. Indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely make reservations ahead of time.

Anuja T.

Yelp
We started off our winter weekend getaway at Cucina for dinner and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent from the appetizer to dessert. We had the eggplant parm to start which was absolutely delicious and a perfect appetizer portion. Then we had the gnocchi and the spinach ravioli for our entrees, both of which were great! The ricotta cheesecake was a fantastic dessert with candied orange on top -- the ricotta and citrus combo is always a winner in my book. All in all a very nice Italian meal in a modern, cozy atmosphere!

Pat B.

Yelp
Still Covid mode so we ordered two different flatbread pizzas to go. The wait staff even gave us directions for reheating the pizza once we got back to our Airbnb and gave us aluminum foil too. I had the pizza with pear arugula goat cheese etc and it was delicious. The flatbread was thin and crispy. My hubs had the meaty one which he too totally loved. Highly recommend

Michelle L.

Yelp
Went here with a large group of friends on a Saturday night. Had a reservation and were seated promptly. Great ambiance - warm candle like lighting and white lights adorning the inside and outside along with a beautifully lit fireplace right near our table. I didn't think the menu had enough options but managed to order something I really enjoyed - the spinach ravioli. I don't usually order ravioli but this was really good with mushrooms and a cream sauce and pistachios. Almost everyone at our table ordered the chicken parm. The portion size of that dish was enormous! The chicken was perfectly crispy and cheesy. The soup and flatbreads were also enjoyable. Our service was mediocre which is the knock for the star. We had two servers and one seemed like we were bothering her every time we asked for a drink or water or something for the table. It got to the point where everyone at our table was talking about it. The food was good, but a bit overpriced; but it's a place you'd go for a nice night out. I wish the menu had some additional selections.

Jem B.

Yelp
Adorable house fixed up to cater one of the best steaks and calamari in entire NY! Glad we made reservations because this is one of the top spots in the area. They are my new standard for steak and fried calamari. Grass fed steak was excellent prepped & seasoned, cooked right medium! The fried calamari battered was crispy non greasy and tender. Tiramisu was amazinggg we ordered like 2 each lolll

Logan J.

Yelp
I came here visiting Woodstock for a long weekend, and overall, I had a decent meal and experience. I was told by a few people before coming that it was one of the better dinner spots in town, and I'd probably agree from the ones that I'd sampled. I don't have too much bad to say about my experience but I don't know that I have a ton of good to say either. Overall, my experience was pretty average. The staff was friendly and the space was warm. The restaurant almost seems like a large home, which offers a unique feel. The large porch has several tables for outdoor dining with heaters on cooler nights, which is where we sat. The atmosphere itself was probably the highlight of our meal. The drinks were good. They have a few special cocktails, and we weren't disappointed by our choices. We had ordered the eggplant parmigiana for an appetizer. I guess I was thinking that it might be something special or prepared in a unique method, but it was pretty average breaded eggplant in red sauce. We ordered the fusilli bolognese and the vegetarian (mushroom) bolognese. They were both fine, but I had expected stronger flavors. The mushroom bolognese had a slightly unappetizing appearance as well. It was a good idea in concept I think, but I wasn't thrilled with the overall result. Overall, dinner here was very average. I'd definitely come back for appetizers and drinks with friends because the space itself is warm and inviting. The food though wasn't anything too special.

steve a.

Yelp
I can only comment on the pizza which is super thin crust and tasty. Maybe more like an appetizer than an entrée. Nice outdoor space nice indoor space multiple rooms. Not cheap it's definitely a post-pandemic survivor.

Jen F.

Yelp
My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Woodstock and on our first night we came to this restaurant and let me tell you I was AMAZED, the food was incredible, the customer service was nothing compared to NYC I've never experienced being treated with such kindness. We ended up going back on our last day in Woodstock, I will never forget the delicious rigatoni pasta ! Hope to come back soon

Yelp
I always have a great experience at Cucina. It's one of my favorite restaurants and we come quite often to celebrate occasions. Tonight we had an unusual experience - we came for dinner with my infant son to celebrate a family birthday. He's always very well behaved when we go to restaurants, never causes any issues. He happened to make a noise while dining tonight for all of 2 seconds (it wasn't even loud) and a male waiter came over to our table and abruptly told us we needed to keep our son quiet and he can't make noise. We were surrounded by families and no one seemed to be bothered. The waiter was so rude and made my entire table feel uncomfortable the rest of the meal. Not sure when Cucina stopped being family friendly? I didn't see a sign. This was a disappointing experience but the food was fantastic, as always.

Yelp
Of all the places we ate around Rhinebeck and Woodstock, Cucina was the favorite. Vibes were nice. The food was awesome. Meatball over creamy polenta was delicious. Crispy calamari was as good as they come. The rigatoni bolognese was my favorite thing. Creamy meat sauce with peas. The linguine with gulf shrimp was also good. The jalapeños in there gave it a nice kick. Italian cheesecake was creamy, silky and not too sweet. A perfect meal away in the Hudson Valley.

Yelp
- make that resy esp on a Saturday night I was able to call in a resy at 406 for 630 indoor resy - awesome shrimp linguini I thought it needed more salt, but flavors improved and meshed well as I let the dish settle - the bartenders are immaculately talented All the drinks were Grand - blt salad was superb - very nice atmosphere on a summer Saturday U can come here on any occasion; date, family outing, solo trip, guys meet up, family dinner, take out your parents - service with a smile - my app came out kind of slow, but dinner came out super fast

Yelp
Our first night in Woodstock we decided to "kick it up a notch" and go all out. Business casual to high society is the attire, non-pretentious but a menu that holds something for everyone. Daily specials, local ingredients and specialty cocktails to whet your whistle. Priced on the high end, but we were well aware, ample parking, and patio seating reminiscent of the deep south. Patio heaters for cooler weather/evening dining. Knowledgeable staff. One drawback- no wifi otherwise I would have posted review at time of service. Food was spectacular!

Yelp
Beautiful spot with great cocktails and amazing food! We were in town for a night and made a 9:15 reservation. Though they closed at 10, the staff was super accommodating and didn't rush us throughout our meal. We started with Everything Nice cocktails (typically made with tequila but our server recommended mezcal instead and it was bomb). We ordered the BLT Caesar salad as an app and split the rigatoni and an order of chicken parm. The portion sizes are huge so one entrée is definitely more than enough for 2 people. The parm was a must have!! But even better was the tiramisu which was the most decadent and creamy version I've ever had. Overall, would 100% recommend if you're around, not just for the food but for the perfect summery atmosphere too.

Yelp
This place looked really cute. Being from out of town, with limited options, we paid 85 dollars for takeout, three tiny meatballs barely with sauce and two tablespoons of polenta was $20, the rigatoni sausage had one clump of sausage and it was not a spicy tomato sauce/ it was flavorless and watery, and was over twenty bucks, and the prosciutto salad was fine/no flavor and could've made at home a bit better . If you're in the area, wouldn't recommend even though it has such great reviews. Maybe eating inside is better idk.

Yelp
Last week while visiting Woodstock for a couple of days, we ordered a pizza to go. Living in New Haven county we are used to amazing pizza, so our expectations were not that high. But this might be the worst pizza either of us have ever had. Filling maybe 2/3 of the to go box this unbelievably thin pizza was basically some dough with a splash of red sauce and cheese -quite boring and tasteless. One person with a normal appetite would need to order two of these $17 pies. We called it "credit card pizza" as your card is the same thickness as the pizza and perhaps has the same taste.

Yelp
My husband and I, having canceled our holiday plans last minute given the surging number of COVID cases, elected to have a nice Christmas Eve dinner out and decided to try something new. I was really impressed by Cucina as compared to some of the other, similarly priced restaurants we've tried in the area. The food was amazing (... and we ate a lot of it so I feel like that's a qualified statement), decor was very elegant and modern, and the staff were warm. If I had to give it one knock, I'd say the prices for mains were surprisingly high. Our primary residence is in NYC yet we were still surprised by the prices. We'll definitely be back!
