Wonderful authentic German food and brews at the Cuckoo Clock tonight. We enjoyed speaking with owner Stefan who told us the sausage we ordered is made by an American who apprenticed in Germany. Waitress was really nice and attentive. For dessert, Americano coffee, strudel with vanilla ice cream, and Black Forest cake were all delicious. We heard German being spoken as we entered - always a good sign. If I were a local I’d return for their happy hour (offered all night on Tuesdays).

From the moment you walk in you know it’s legit. The owner is extremely friendly , balances by the perfect dose of sarcasm from the Irish bartender Nicholas !! The food was as authentic as you can get without crossing the Atlantic !! The potato pancakes and schnitzel were almost as good as my Muttis. Will definitely be back.. over and over

Been here multiple times in the last 2 years and the food is so good, it tastes homemade and authentic. Compliments to the chef! I like their selection of beer and wine too. It’s really cozy in here, especially on a cold or rainy night and it’s very unique given that we’re in Miami.

Closest German cuisine and convenient to get too. Food and atmosphere was excellent!! Menu has plenty to choose from. Had the pretzel, potato pancakes, schnitzel and the delicious apple strudel. All tasted so good!!! Will definitely be back again real soon.

This place is AMAZING. Some of the best German food I’ve ever had! Authentic, fresh, homemade— just absolutely perfect in flavor and in portion size. The service is also outstanding! Everyone is so friendly. We had to drive quite a ways to get there, but we will definitely be going back!

I visited the Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus while being in Miami and as someone from Munich I can honestly say the experience felt very authentic. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the interior is really cute and thoughtfully designed. It truly captures the feeling of German and Austrian culture in a charming way The food was excellent. The classic schnitzel in particular was outstanding and tasted just like the original you would get in southern Germany. The dishes are traditional well prepared and very satisfying The service also deserves a special mention! Dandra welcomed us very warmly and was incredibly kind and attentive which made the visit even more enjoyable :) I can fully recommend this place to anyone in Miami who wants to experience authentic German and Austrian cuisine and culture whether you are a local or just visiting.

Fantastic Find -- Authentic German Comfort Food at Its Best! I had an outstanding experience at Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus and it has immediately become one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed -- the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and has just the right amount of rustic charm. The food is absolutely exceptional. Every dish tasted genuinely authentic, clearly prepared with care and respect for traditional German flavors. The schnitzel was perfectly crisp and tender, the sausages were incredibly flavorful, and the sides -- especially the potato salad and red cabbage -- were delicious and perfectly seasoned. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in their craft. The staff deserve special recognition. Everybody was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel personal without ever being intrusive. It's rare to find service that's both efficient and genuinely kind, especially in Miami.. Whether you're craving authentic German comfort food or just want a great meal in a cozy setting, Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus is a must-visit. Good German food -and great beer Now they have an Oktoberfest going on! Open all week

I KNEW there had to be a good German Restaurant to celebrate Octoberfest! Who knew it was this close (and in Little Haiti!) Already been back for happy hour! The potato pancakes were amazing, the sausage platter a MUST, and their sauerkraut was the BEST I have ever had! Don't leave without a bite of that Austrian Sacher Torte!

If you're looking to do something different or eat something different in Miami here is the spot! A true genuine German restaurant/bar that has the best decor in a place you would never think to look--a real hidden gem! They have happy hour all day Tuesday's on draft beer, and I love love love the food (they even have vegetarian options!) the prices seemed a little much at first but then I realized how big the portions were so immediately took those thoughts back!! The owner is lovely and the bartender whose name I think is Nicole..(sorry if that's wrong!) is such a great host. I can't wait for my next German pretzel!

It's got a New York vibe and great food. I am not a beer guy, but that beer off the tap was amazing, Hofbraeu German was exactly what the doctor ordered. I went Friday at 3:30. By 5 it was packed. Cheers!

A cozy and charming hidden gem tucked away in Little Haiti. The apple streusel was the perfect sweet ending to our German adventure. A great little spot we'd definitely revisit.

This place is AMAZING!!! I drive past it every day but have not been inside since it was the cheesesteak place (several iterations ago). We went last night because it was convenient to pop in to wet our whistles and we were not disappointed! First off, it's been renovated to look like a little German ski chalet. The interior is amazing and it is a perfect place to visit around Christmastime! I would imagine if you went during the summer, it would feel like a mini vacation from our unrelenting heat and humidity. They have a great selection of German beers on tap and in bottles. We sampled an IPA, the kolsch, the Kostrizer (a dark lager), the La Chouffe, a cider and a glass of pinot noir (so rest assured, beer avoiders, there is something here for you). All of the beers were delicious, as was the pricing. We also sampled the sausage platter, the fondue and the pretzel. The food was fantastic, even though everyone knows German food is the wurst! The owner was mixing and mingling with the patrons and the bartender was so friendly and welcoming. This place is a real gem!

This German Restaurant is absolutely fantastic! A true hidden gem! I came here on two occasions and both times I was treated to amazing beer, dishes and service from the host! The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated to a traditional Oktoberfest theme, and the bathroom is extremely clean and smells great! Overall, this is your unique chance to experience some authentic German cuisine here in Miami and I can't recommend it enough!

Cute spot for high quality German food. It's in a kinda random location but is worth the trek for the good food. I haven't been for happy hour but remember them advertising good specials, so could also be worth coming out for that. It's decorated to transport you to an authentic establishment in Germany and the menu does the same. We had a chicken schnitzel and it was delicious with a fair portion size for the price. Food and beer menu both looked to have a good selection. Service was nice and friendly. Between the nice vibes and the good food it's worth checking out. Will be back for happy hour

3.5 stars. The little place is nice inside, has a handful of cuckoo clocks (that work), a friendly and attentive bartender and the owner was nice and welcoming as well. What I wasn't a fan of is parking in little Haiti, and paying $7 for a $2.50 (retail) beer. The pretzel was ok, but didn't seem German, and the lunch bratwursts are 1 per order for $10! The burger looked good, large and well made, the Currywurst was OK, it comes with pommes frites and a house made curry katsup. The wurst was delicious, but with just 1, I'm glad (?) I ordered 2 meals. BUT the same thing for the second dish, Weißwurst. Just 1 wurst on the plate and a pretzel roll. $10. Oh well, check it out for yourself, maybe supper is better.

The Summary: This was a very unexpected jewel we found hidden in a corner. Excellent service by our server, Natalia, great schnitzel, wonderful sausages, cold beer, nice goulash, and some sort of a fried applestrudel different from what I had seen before. Worth revisiting. The Experience A little boomed because the Oktoberfest was full so we couldn't get in, we started looking up German food places to at least feel like we celebrated. We found this little place at a corner, very cozy, kind of empty, clean and nice. We were greeted by Natalia and sat at a table. First order of the day: a tall, cold beer, the Koestrizer German dark lager couldn't be in a more perfect chill point. I wished I wasn't driving so I could order another one, but what are you going to do? One had to be enough. As for food, we ordered three dishes to share: A Goulash, a sausage sampler, and a schnitzel. The Bavarian goulash was good. I'm more used to the Hungarian or the Romanian versions, but the Cuckoo Clock's Bavarian Goulash is pretty good in its own right. The original Wiener schnitzel was almost perfect, sided with a nice potato salad and red cole slaw. The more mixed feelings I have are about the sausage sampler. The potato salad and the cole slaw were good, and some of the sausages were very nice while I didn't enjoy a couple of the others, but I couldn't tell you which were which. For desserts, we ordered the apfelstrudel. which was very good, but it reminded me of a huge McDonald's hot apple pie, as opposed to the pastry I usually get when I order an apple strudel anywhere else. Overall this is a place to come back. the service is awesome, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and it's a very peaceful and quiet place to eat.

Stumbled upon this gem and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes, and it was hands down one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The schnitzel was perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside, smothered in a creamy mushroom sauce that was rich, flavorful, and totally addictive. The potatoes were golden, crispy-edged, and seasoned just right, exactly how you want them. Every bite was cozy, satisfying, and full of soul. And yes, that cold beer in the background? The perfect pairing. If you are a fan of hearty, authentic European comfort food, you need this plate in your life. I'll definitely be back!

This place is a Wiener ... Schnitzel that is. Fun atmosphere, perfectly cooked, crispy schnitzel. The potato pancakes are light, oniony, and Wunderbar! Best in town. The pretzel is delicious as well. Great beer selection. They even had a Stella Zero for me. The Apfelstrudel and German chocolate cake were the perfect finish. We'll be back.

Everything about this place is fantastic. The food is to die for, the service is amazing and the ambiance is perfect. We tried the potato patties and the goulash, and topped it with the amazing applestrudel. Wooooow!

I live in Pompano Beach, and I make it a point to visit this German restaurant. It has a terrific Kölsch on tap, really good Bavarian food, and soccer matches on TV.

Delicious food with fantastic ambiance takes you back to the Motherland with homemade grandma cooking. Great fun and easy to find with easy street parking. Great service!!!

We had our eye on this restaurant for some time and finally had the opportunity to stop by. The service was great, everyone was very kind. The atmosphere was pretty cool too, it's decorated like a Ski Lounge in the Alps. AppleStrudel may be the best I've tried, in both the US and Germany will definitely come back!

We finally found a great German restaurant in Miami. The potato pancakes were great, as was the Brat sandwich that came on a delicious and home made pretzel roll. My wife had the schnitzel and really enjoyed it. They have a great selection of beer. The owner and staff could not be more kind. This is a gem. We will be back!

If you like German food this is the place to be at in Miami. The ambiance feels like you are a neighborhood bar eating your grandma's food.It's nestled in a neighborhood that you would not think for this type of place but they have made it work. It has only been opened for two months but it feels like it's alway been there. My husband and I went on a Friday night. People were at the bar when we entered and a few eating dinner. The waitress was friendly and our food came out pretty fast. The food was excellent. We started with the pretzel. It's big and the mustard that comes with it comes from Germany. I could have eaten that all night. Next I ordered the Gulash and my husband ordered the Grilled Brat Entree. It was also so good! To finish we had the Apfelstrudel . All I can say is Wow! We did take home the Black Forest cake for later. My husband and I are already thinking of our next visit. Can't wait! Please come and enjoy! You will not regret this!

Came here to watch the Germany vs. Spain game and what an experience! Although the place is small, it has such charm and great vibes. The place was packed and our waitress, Carolina, was always on point! Always refilling our beers and updating us on our food orders. The food was amazing, fresh and had an authentic taste. Definitely will be coming back with friends in the future!

Loved it! Restaurant is located in Little Haiti, where Bon Gout Barbeque was at. Air-conditioned dining room seats perhaps 30-40 people, a few more at the bar and al fresco. Dishes are hearty German fare. We ordered the schnitzel, and it was perfect. Shallow-fried in butter, perfectly crispy, very generous and extremely tasty, with a side of German potato salad and red cabbage. We also ordered the weiss-wurst, potato pancakes, and garden salad. All large portions and extremely well executed. All in all a great concept. Cozy German decor, great selection of beers, correct service, and about all, great food that is competitively priced.

The food was delicious; the chicken soup was like homemade with chinks of vegetables and chicken in a homemade broth and the onion, cheese spaetzle was tasty comfort food. Natalia provided excellent service giving thoughtful attention to our questions. Don't be fooled by the exterior. It is a charming warm environment.

This is a very cool German bar right in the heart of Little Haiti. Don't let the location fool you--once you step inside, it feels like you've been transported straight to Europe. The owner is super friendly, the beers are always cold, and your favorite soccer match will be playing on the screens. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended for anyone in the mood for that authentic German vibe!

WOW WOW WOW!! Welcome to the neighborhood. Just stopped by for a beer and was wowed by this brand new restaurant. The design is warm and inviting... the beer is delicious and ice cold. The staff is very welcoming and skilled and the food was fantastic. Had the pretzel for a starter... best in Miami with the beer cheese dipping sauce. Then moved on to the potato pancakes... prepared perfectly... crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Finished up with the pork schnitzel... absolutely delicious. This place is a must try and worth the drive from any where.

I don't know what to say, but I've been going to German restaurants in this city since Edelweiss was a thing in Edgewater. I'm an expert. This place is good. Go there, eat and enjoy.

Not what I was expecting in a location I was not expecting. Very new Bavarian style bar and restaurant that you will drive by if you are not paying attention. Pay attention. They are doing it right from the start. The ambience is cozy like a ski lodge. The food is fresh and comforting like Oma makes. From the mustards and beer cheese to the potato salad and wurst, the place offers authentic German, Austrian, and Belgian cuisine. Ask for the sweet mustard for your fresh and perfectly salted pretzel. Save some bread from the bratwurst sandwich for the beer cheese. Beer and wine selections aren't many but they are true to the region and complement the food. Ask Caroline for her recommendation to pair their beers or wines with your food. She is brilliant. Miami does not offer much in the way of a true German dining and drinking experience outside of the Oktoberfest at the German American club. The Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus is doing more than filling that void. They could make you a regular.

Myself (a German) and my 2 Suisse buddies went today and the experience was very good. Super atmosphere, the service (Caroline) was top notch ! The owner walks to every table to get feedback which is great. Food was overall excellent and reasonably priced. Felt very good about our experience afterwards. We had ordered the Weißwurst, Currywurst, goulash, meatballs and Jäger schnitzel.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. A little apprehensive of the neighborhood but once we walked in, it was like we were in another world. The decor and feeling was warm and I felt I was in a German establishment. Nice bar, cuckoo clocks on the wall, a red swing and indoor secure outdoor seating. The staff was amazing, service was 10 plus, new utensils with each course and they offered a warm smile the entire time. Fabulous German beers, of course. The pretzel was the biggest we have ever had at a German restaurant with a dipping cheese sauce and mustard. The potato pancakes were excellent, served with the standard sour cream/applesauce. We each had a different schnitzel dish and one was better than the other. Potato salad was not pure vinegar and excellent. Spätzle had a crunch and was the best we have ever had. Could not find one thing not to love except the neighborhood ( you can easily miss it when driving by), with free street parking and the Spatzle serving was a little small. Highly recommend as our new favorite restaurant and we will be back over and over again !!!
