First of all, this is a very intimate place. A true hidden gem. A large hidden restaurant located slightly outside the city center, about 20 minutes from downtown Chiang Mai.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere immediately set the tone for the experience. The decor is clean and minimalist, with a Nordic inspired aesthetic that creates a calm and refined ambiance and clearly signals what kind of culinary journey awaits.
When it comes to the food, the restaurant offers a beautiful 12 course tasting menu highlighting products from northern Vietnam, interpreted through Nordic culinary traditions such as fermentation, smoking, and curing. It is very much a Nordic style gastronomic experience.
The menu focused largely on fish and seafood. It began with delicate fish based amuse bouche, followed by smaller plates, then more generous dishes, and finished smoothly with desserts. The progression was thoughtful and well balanced.
Personally, I did not have one single overwhelming standout dish, but every course had something unique and interesting. Everything was visually beautiful and very well executed. Each plate had its own character and something truly enjoyable about it. Overall, the level of execution was consistently high.
I had a very lovely experience and would definitely recommend it. It is a great gastronomic table in Chiang Mai and well worth the visit.
